Told from the perspective of Chiron - The Horse Man

He sighed as Percy came squealing down the dirt path to the porch of the big house. Like an infant, the hero of Olympus ran behind him for cover. After rolling his eyes at the boy's immaturity, he looked to see what Percy was running from.

A very happy Hell-hound came bounding after the son of Poseidon with a bag dangling from its mouth. It didn't lose sight of Percy in the slightest, and continued to trot over, dropping the bag at Percy's feet with a happy expression before sitting on her hinds.

"Was a bag of ice cubes really worth screaming about, Percy?" he asked in a gentle tone. Percy, obviously exaggerating himself, sarcastically replied with a stupid grin plastered on his face.

"I was laying on the beach, relaxing, but then Mrs. O-Leary dropped that bag on my-"

"That's enough info, Seaweed brain!" Annabeth intervened before Percy said something, likely something he would regret. The daughter of Athena slowly walked over to where Percy had been cowering behind me after patting Mrs. O-Leary on the head. Percy didn't move, only winced when Annabeth pulled him to his feet.

"Why did she do that, anyway? And where did she get the ice?" The sea spawn groaned as Annabeth made him stand without leaning on her. Mrs. O-Leary leaned towards him before licking his bare arm from finger tip to shoulder. Annabeth's mind did calculations before the centaur could think to do anything, and she stood in front of the hell-hound before speaking.

"Who told you to get ice, girl?" The hell-hound jumped up with excitement and turned to run. Before anyone could follow, the hound shadow travelled away. After a moment of confusion for Percy, she came back through shadow travel and dropped a piece of metal on the ground.

...

"Is that a leg?" Percy's confusion was evident on his face, and his girlfriend laughed as she realized what it was.

"It's Seth's prosthetic. I guess Seth is taking a liking to pranking you? Or did you do something?" She was almost exasperated in her questioning.

"I didn't do anything!" Both his girlfriend and the centaur were skeptical, but didn't verbalize it. From across the clearing, Clarisse snickered and called out to Percy.

"Nice shorts, Blue-balls!" Ah, so that's where the bag was dropped.

"Where are they, anyway?" Percy wondered out loud. After some thought, he realized how little attention he payed to the previously resting god. They were released from the Apollo cabin's watchful supervision a few days ago, and had told him that they were taking Nico to retrieve some supplies from their training island. He hadn't seen them return yet, which was odd, but maybe they had slipped back already and were now off to some other shadow-shenanigans.

"I have a guess, but it could be a stretch..." Annabeth pondered, but before she could continue, her boyfriend retorted loudly.

"It's Seth. Is anything a stretch anymore?" The sea prince snorted slightly. It was true, the young teenager they had brought in from the cold turned out to be a god in the matter of months. Very peculiar, that one.

"Fair. I was just thinking, Mrs. O-Leary was sleeping by the Hades cabin's construction site last I saw, and Nico seems to have disappeared as well."

Percy tilted his head, "That makes sense, but it's not really a stretch, Wise girl." He smiled up to his girlfriend, which she cuffed the top of his head quickly.

"No... I'm guessing that those 2 are together, which is good. However, Nyx is also the goddess of hell-hounds..." Both the centaur and the seaweed brain/prince both were oblivious to the daughter of Athena's implication. "They may be able to communicate with hell-hounds to some extent. If so, the word chilling could explain the ice." Percy winced at the reminder of his cold package, and exaggeratedly doubled over his privates. Ignoring the hero's immaturity, the centaur turned to meet both of their eyes.

"Well, it seems that Isorreth and Di Angelo are fine if they are chilling. Perhaps you can ask your dog where they are, Percy?" Looking expectantly at the green eyed boy, their attention shifted to the happy hell-hound sitting beside Percy.

"Well, girl? Where'd death breath and the flashlight head off to?" The dog happily grabbed hold of his arm with their gargantuan jaw, and dragged him off to a nearby shadow with him yelling the entire time. Annabeth simply quirked an eyebrow, and shrugged. I guess she took him to where Nico and Seth are. A few moments later, the dog came back with Percy clutching at her neck for dear life, yelling to go back over and over.

"Go back! Go back go back go back gobackgobackgobackgobackgoback!" Percy was breathless as the hound layed their chin on the ground, effectively almost crushing Percy. After some laughter from himself and Annabeth, other campers sent confused glances at the scene.

"What now, Seaweed brain?"

"She just dropped me in Hades palace, right in front of him in the throne room!" While Percy was busy escaping the sleepy dog's cuddles, Annabeth and Chiron knew exactly what that meant.

"I presume that Seth is staying with Nico and his father while the cabin is under construction. No need to worry, I would say," he reassured the young couple.

Percy was still freaked out about his brief trip to the Underworld. "Excuse me, but are we not gonna talk about how I just popped in on Hades!?" he exclaimed. Once Annabeth helped him off the ground, she sighed.

"I'm sure Hades will know that you meant no harm. If not, Nico and Seth can keep him from cursing you, I'm sure."

Woof!

The 3 turned to see Mrs. O-Leary smiling at something behind them. Turning, Percy, Annabeth, and himself saw a rainbow behind them. Tossing a drachma in to the Iris message, the holographic view flickered to reveal an unimpressed Hades. Percy gulped nervously with a light laugh before Annabeth elbowed him in the ribs.

"What is the meaning of this, Jackson?" his low voice growled. From the look of it, the god of the Underworld was seated in his throne. Before Percy could respond, a yellow light shone on Hades' face, which he squinted at.

"Oops, sorry Hades. Wait- is that Percy?" Seth's familiar voice was distant, but obvious coming through the other side of the message. A sigh sounded out of view, likely Nico. With their suspicions proved right, he relaxed.

"Yes, μικρό φεγγάρι. The sea spawn decided to visit on that hell-hound defect for 2 seconds too long." Hades glared into Percy's soul, the fear aura coming through only his gaze. Both Chiron and Annabeth blinked widely at how Hades addressed Seth, but didn't say anything.

"I knew you shouldn't have just told the dog," Nico sighed. The 2 teenagers were still out of view, but the reflection of Seth's light was apparent on Hades' complexion. With the sound of metal shifting against obsidian, bickering was heard from Hades' side.

"What, I'm pretty sure she understood me! I told her to tell Perce that we were chilling here, and she obviously did." Seth's false innocence caused a groan of annoyance from Nico, but the king of the Underworld almost smirked at his son.

"I suggest you train that hound better, Jackson." Hades cold voice made Percy shiver again, but just in time for Mrs. O-Leary to lick him from the middle of his back to the top of his head. With bits of hair standing straight up, he stared back at the Underworld King.

"Of course, Lord Hades. I apologize." With that, the connection was cut, and Percy was left with a very loving dog washing him in her saliva.

"Did something happen between Seth and Hades?" Annabeth questioned. He simply shrugged, not knowing any more than the daughter of Athena did, but Percy was busy lecturing his hell-hound about shadow travelling.

Little moon. Perhaps Seth was the key to bringing balance throughout the realms.
