Day 58

Spent yesterday doing the usual – tending to my livestock, being a farmhand, feeding the donkey, etc. I would like to say that it looks like donkey is starting trust me more and more – the distance at which it starts retreating from me is going down bit by bit, so soon I'm hoping to be able to approach it safely for us both.

(Oh, by the way, the donkey is no longer it, but he – I saw the thing)

I wish the same could be said for Wolfy – so far I have only been able to teach him "Lie", and he only does that because I always follow it with a healthy dose of belly rubs. Guess I can't ask for more, cause the guy is alreafy a great guard wolfdog, besides his homicidal obsession with chasing the crap out of skeletons.

I just wish I could teach him "Lie" command so that he'd turn into a tall Mistralean gunman ninja instead – that would've been the best case. I wish. Oh, I wish.

I found my notes on how to add book enchantments to already enchanted items. Let's hope this doesn't turn out bad. Says here I might need some extra lapis; knowing my luck, it's will, not might.

What did I say? Write, I mean. Will, not might.

The entire " procedure" needed 1 piece of lapis. I guess it's fair since Unbreaking III is probably a higher-powered enchantment. At least it all worked out. I'm a proud owner of a pickaxe that has both Unbreaking and Fortune. I'm looking forward to seeing what exactly it is that Fortune does next time I go mining.

Its freaking brothers know much time at night and my area just got hit by a truly torrential rain. Normally this wouldnt be a problem except the roof has started leaking little droplets from the fucking rain – straight onto my bed. perfect! I need to think of something asap.

Wolfy doesnt look too excited about the rain either. I guess he could do with a doghouse – hes made the toolshed his little wolf hole already, but im sure he wouldn't mind something nicer.

Going to look for something to plug this up with.

I ended up finding a couple of leftover smoothstone slabs – placed them over the bed. Should stop the water hopefully, but I have a feeling this might be a reoccuring problem, so something has to be done quickly. My chests are an absolute mess. Maybe I should build an attic? More place to store and sort stuff and it might stop future leakages.

Or maybe I should put more blocks on the roof altogether? Dunno, midnight is not the time to be thinking about this.

Just a super short transit chapter I whipped up in 2 hours (minus procrastinating).

Also, I've decided to end the poll. Not many have voted, but in this case the vocal minority beats silent majority. I'll be removing the Bestiary and Coordinates chapters from this story and putting them in a separate one. Should be up very soon. If you're following this story, you might as well follow that too.
