Yo! Son Goku and friends! Saiyan Saga (Chapter 31)
Prince Vegeta
The Prince was awoken harshly by a rumble in his pod and the volume of the intercom speaking to him from his right side.
"Prince! Landing on Earth in 5! 4! 3! 2! Brace for impact, 1!"
KOMMMMMM! SKSHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
The Prince and his companion's pod slammed into the ground with the weight of the sun behind them, tearing through the skyscrapers of the cityscape like absolutely nothing could stop them. Vegeta's pod in particular knocked out 3 buildings all in a line, cutting them in half like sharp scissors across loose paper, incredibly clean cuts due to the speed.
"What the hell is that!?" Bulma cried out from her loft up in Capsule Corp.
The blue haired executive ran to the window and looked at the fall of the three towers only a few minutes away.
"Oh my god."
She ran back to the sofa and called Yamcha's number immediately. It rang for the whole duration but no answer.
"Damn it! He's on the lookout right now!?"
"Bulma!" A barely familiar voice spoke from above.
"Ahh~" She fell over onto the floor from the unintentional spook.
"This is King Kai! You have to wish Raditz back right now!"
"Oop~ Okay!" She scrambled onto her feet in a klutzy display, choking down air trying desperately just to breathe.
Vegeta and Nappa stepped out of their pods and looked around at the city before them.
"You know Vegeta, this place ain't half bad."
"The architecture is boring, it's just the same cylindrical designs and dome-like shapes for these 'houses'. This shit is gross Nappa, don't make excuses for these Earthlings."
Nappa rolled his eyes and ignored The Prince.
"What about the Saibamen, Prince?"
"Not needed. If my scouter measures correct, the strongest lifeform right now is something way off in the distance around 200 or so battle power. Second highest is…" The Prince tapped onto the red button on the side of his electric blue device and the scouter went to work.
Be-Bee!
"106. Something way over that way, Hmph. If Raditz wants to mess around with fools like these, so be it."
"But isn't Raditz around a thousand?"
Vegeta furrowed a brow.
"You might be onto something, Nappa. Is Earth bigger than Unit C?"
"I don't believe so."
Vegeta sharpened his already resting bitch face even further.
"Then where is Raditz hiding?"
"Maybe his wish was to hide his power?"
"Hmm. Okay." Vegeta nodded his head to the side, clearly weighing Nappa's hypothesis. "Say he knew Frieza might come looking for him after he extended past time off. He could hide his battle power from the scouters."
Nappa crossed his arms and looked to Vegeta intently.
"Let's go Nappa! I'm not wasting any more time than I need to, looking at these Earthlings."
Passersby looked on in horror as the two men in front of them talked so nonchalantly in the wake of their clear murder of the people in the buildings they destroyed. A police officer drew a gun on them:
"Freeze!" The hapless cop's gun shook in awe of the strangers.
"Vegeta?"
"Blow him away, we have no time for this."
Nappa just smiled and brought his index and middle finger to the sky.
Kami
"They're here!"
"For real!?" Yamcha questioned loudly, falling over from his handstand hold like a dumbass.
"Yes. I believe they are going to arrive in West City."
"Phuuuuuuu~ Be cool." Krillin said to himself with closed eyes.
"If that's the case I'm gonna go pick up Chiaotzu, where should we meet up!?" Tien yelled as he ran across the lookout.
Krillin looked to Yamcha and then to Piccolo who floated in from above. Piccolo stared back intensely and then yelled to the three eyed man.
"Just follow me."
Tien nodded and teardropped off of the lookout.
"Be careful, all of you."
"I'm the rightful heir of The Demon King's throne, I'm not gonna die to a bunch of savages."
"Thanks, Kami."
Yamcha responded with a firm punch into his left hand from his right, steeling his resolve.
"Let's get these motherfuckers, boys!"
"Goku was one thing, but I'm gonna hate fighting alongside your annoying ass."
"What'd you say!?"
Krillin got in between the two, shoving Yamcha away.
"Now's not the time and you know it."
"You're right, maybe Piccolo doesn't know that, but you're right Krillin."
Kami worriedly looked on.
"I don't ask for much, but please, grant these boys strength." The Guardian of Earth stomped his staff and breathed out deep.
Krillin
"I feel them, I actually feel them!" Yamcha yelled aloud over the strong winds they self induced due to their strong flight.
"Obviously, these powers are insane!" Piccolo yelled back, his cape fluttering.
"I'm gonna go meet up at Baba's! See what's up with the plan then I'll meet back up with you guys!"
"See ya, Champ!" Krillin patted The Wolf firmly on the shoulder before he tore off in the opposite direction.
As The Wolf vanished into the beyond Krillin turned to the green skinned ally. Piccolo only shot back a cold and menacing glare. Krillin swallowed harshly before he spoke.
"We're gonna need to make a stop at Korin's tower."
"Hurry up little man."
The pair flew down to the orb at the top of the white cat's tower and dropped in from one of the many openings.
"Krillin! You haven't left yet!?"
"The sensu beans, Korin!"
The White cat sheepishly shrugged.
"I'm sorry but I wasn't able to get any prepped in time! I have two sprouting right now but they probably won't even be ready next week, these things take so much time to prepare! I've been growin' em' since you came to train with me, honest!"
Krillin just cursed himself internally before turning back to the cat hermit.
"It's okay Korin, we'll get it done without them."
Piccolo laughed lightly and followed the small bald man out of the tower directly behind his flight path.
"Please, I'm putting my faith in you Goku. Raditz AND Piccolo? This is turning into my worst nightmare…"
Yamcha
The shaggy haired man touched down and darted in a sharp 90 degree turn, blowing away the resident ghosts on the arena platform.
Zzt! FOOSH!
Yamcha made sure to slow it down as he got into the building. Just as The Wolf crossed through the archway, Baba appeared before him, Goku and Raditz in tow.
"Nice!"
"Yamcha!"
"YAMCHA!"
"Huh?"
"Gah! You don't need to be here! You should have gone with the others!"
"What do you mean King Kai?" Goku questioned.
"You're wasting time, get over to the Saiyans pronto!"
"Okay!"
"Goku…" King Kai shot down with a bit of doubt.
"I promised, King Kai! I don't break promises!"
Raditz broke out into a sprint and grabbed onto Yamcha's wrist in a drive-by. Yamcha tore away his hand immediately and shot him a glance.
"Brother has to go talk to his Chi-Chi and Gohan before he can engage. He promised he'd meet them first thing once he came back."
The uneasiness Yamcha had kind of fell away under Raditz' calm demeanor.
"Okay!"
The Wolf broke out into an even more intense dash, completely leaving behind Raditz in his wake.
"He's faster than brother in Kaio-Ken. Who are these Earthlings?"
Tien
Tien hopped past the guards in a skillful display, all of them unable to halt the intense momentum he carried throughout the palace.
"Chiaotzu!"
The small chalk-white emperor stood up and threw off his hat and garb.
"Is it time?"
The Emperor's cold stare shot right into Tien's being.
"It's time."
The Emperor of Mifan nodded.
"Lead the way."
"Gladly."
The pair bursted out of the palace, almost tearing the royal rug to pieces in their blastoff. The palace banners flapping wildly and the guards falling over from their power. White trails streamed off of them as they flew out from the orange and reds of the kingdom and into the whites and blues of the sky. They looked at each other and knocked their back knuckles against one another.
"It'll be good to fight alongside you again."
Chiaotzu just smiled and looked back into the open sky before them.
"We've got to make it count, I can't leave my empire unattended."
"No sir."
Tien smiled for a moment only to have it taken away as he used his Ki Sensing. He let out a few truly nervous laughs, the kind you don't do when you're having a good time.
"You feeling it?''
Chiaotzu swallowed harshly in response to the question.
"Yes."
Prince Vegeta
"Nappa!"
"Yes Prince?"
"Check your scouter again! Are you getting 3,200 and 4,000?"
The burly bodyguard tapped onto his green scouter and waited for a moment as the device bipped and beeped for his answer.
"Yup. And they're coming right for us. I also just got a reading of another 4,000 and a much smaller 1,700."
"Where in the hell did they come from!?"
"Possibly the sky or the planet's core, we've seen magnetic pulls and things like that mess with the scouters before."
"Hmm. I don't like that answer! I'm going to have to ask those fools directly!"
The Prince accelerated his flight speed and left Nappa in the dust, the pressure rolling off him in his initial dart causing a clap of a sonic boom to roll out next to his partner.
"Hehhhhhh~" Nappa let out in a long sigh. He took a moment to himself to fix his scouter before shooting like an arrow behind his prince.
Piccolo and Krillin flew for a while before The Demon palmed Krillin's shoulder harshly, shoving him out of the way fast.
SVYeeeeeeeew~ SKRT!
The small man tore through the air almost connecting his body into Krillin's had he not been forcibly removed of his flight path by Piccolo. Vegeta looked shocked to see Piccolo's green skin.
"A Namekian? Interesting." Vegeta responded as he touched onto his scouter again.
Piccolo just shot back a cold glare and stood upright, his cape flailing in the wind. Vegeta stood up as well, perfectly fine to stand right in between the two of them. Krillin gulped down hard as he straightened himself out. The Prince maintained fierce eye contact with The Demon and the two slowly descended straight down in a line, mirroring each other.
"Smart choice, I'm much faster than you in the air."
Piccolo said nothing, Vegeta just nodded. They eyed each other for what felt like an eternity before Nappa entered the fray.
"My god." Krillin kept to himself when Nappa appeared. "No breaks huh."
Nappa tapped on his scouter again and three new numbers appeared this time.
"Vegeta!"
"Hmm?"
"There's three new ones!"
"What!?"
"3,700, 5,200, and 5,700!"
"You've got to be joking!" The Prince checked his electric blue device only to be proven wrong once again. He had a worried look for a moment before he laughed heartily to himself. "Why am I getting worked up? You all are nothing. Nappa might struggle under the pressure of two 5's but none of that matters to me."
"He's right." Piccolo thought, arms crossed. "That small one wearing the blue is a level beyond."
"Alright slug, how does the Earth grant it's wishes? I'm giving you three seconds before you cease to exist."
He pointed an open hand and gathered streams of purple energy into a small orb on the palm. Piccolo looked to Krillin and the turtle student looked back. Piccolo pointed his right index and middle finger at his head and his whole left hand on the side of Krillin's.
"Can you hear me?"
"You can-"
"Oneeeee~" The purple energy clustered even more intensely.
"No time."
"Right."
"No one is close, should we tell them? We can NOT-"
"Twoooooo~"
"-take the two of them by ourselves."
"Fuck it, just say some bullshit and I'll back you up."
Piccolo smiled for the first time in front of the group he had been training with for the last 4 months.
"It's a lot to explain for those with small brains, so you'd better not be neanderthals."
"Hear that Nappa? The Namekian's got a mouth on him." He lowered his hand and the sphere of energy dissipated.
"The process started on Namek when The Goddess of Love met her match~"
Piccolo recalled one of the many soap operas he watched with Bulma and Gohan at Capsule Corp. Basically recounting the entire plot summary as he remembered it to the two Saiyans.
"I didn't ask for the lore Green Man!" Vegeta impatiently raised a declarative attack.
"The lore is important dumbass! You can't make the wish unless you follow the steps carefully!"
Piccolo's steadfast commitment to anything that could get the job done was going to be one of the many aspects that made his brand of strategy hard to predict and useful. He was not one to stick to the rulebook, if it worked then it was a good strategy.
The ferocious and booming voice The Demon let out forced The Prince's hand back down.
"Tch! Just hurry up!"
Nappa raised a brow.
"Vegeta, they're coming."
"Nappa, I don't care if they are or aren't, they make a difference to YOU-" The Prince, shoved his index into the armour of his partner and stared back intensely. "-not me! I call the shots."
Nappa curled in his lips and looked to the far off powers to the left of them.
Piccolo continued his story, paralleling the events of one of Bulma's favourite soaps.
Piccolo
"Why is she even messing around with Chad? Clearly he doesn't care about her."
"Just watch, it's masterful storytelling. If you can't realise that, I don't know what to tell you."
"Hmph."
"When The Goddess of Love met the first Namekian male she adored, The Namekian King, he ignored her advances, casting her away into the sea."
"But Chad."
"No Stacy, my heart was torn asunder by my first love. Opening it again would be~ Huh." There was a dramatic pause from the sleek black haired heartthrob on screen. "Too much to bear." He looked away dramatically, closing his eyes.
"I'll do anything."
"The next day The Goddess came back. With resolve, she endeavored to cast away her possessions for his love. (The wishing power)."
"Anything?"
"Anything."
"I'm in debt with the Yakuza, Stacy, stay away. I'm no good for you."
"I could work to help pay it off. Please, stay with me."
"This sucks."
The end of the episode came with no climax, a cliffhanger dampened the mood of The Demon. Gohan turned his head from the TV and towards Piccolo's unimpressed demeanor.
"We have this on demand. You two don't have to wait like I did back in the day."
"Ehh…"
The program showed the girl working hard to pay off the man's debt to the apparent mafia.
"Is this enough for you?"
"But, it's not your problem Stacy, why would you help me?"
"After the second time he rejected her love she cast away the love of others she had given, being The Goddess of Love, the world was in chaos."
"Stacy, you're my girlfriend and you're running around with some guy behind my back!? I'm done with you!"
"Come back!"
"Wait what?"
Bulma shot Piccolo a sly glance and a smile.
"She's not even been single this whole time?"
"Mm-mm."
"Okay, I'm sittin' up."
"The third day, after her previous failed attempts, she gave The Namekian King an ultimatum. Give her his love or she would vanish from the planet entirely."
"All you've done is run around with my money Chad, why are you doing this!?"
"I told you not to mess with me Stacy, I'm a bad man."
Out of nowhere, Chad pulled a gun and shot her dead right there.
KOWW!
"WHAT!?" Piccolo cried, eyes raised.
Bulma could barely contain her laughter, Gohan kind of confused.
"Hagh-hahaha! Maybe I shouldn't have let Gohan watch that, heh-heh."
"And after The Goddess of Love vanished from the world The Namekian King regretted it immediately, wracking his brain for several years trying to find the solution. With his court wizards The Namekian King found their answer."
Piccolo came back to reality, staring Vegeta in the face with a slow but creeping smile.
Nappa turned his head, checking the scouter once more for any threats, only to be caught off guard. Piccolo could hear Yamcha's mad dash from far off in the distance, his sharp sprint cutting through the air cleanly.
Goku
The spiky haired man tore through the sky on his orange cloud with a beaming smile on his face. The other clouds fell away under the sheer power and ferocity of The Nimbus. The orange cloud purred lowly as it carried the Saiyan back to his home, a large orange line following the two of them the entire way.
"Man, you sure are fast, Nimbus! I don't remember you taking me home this quick! Thanks, buddy!"
The Nimbus scales linearly with the user's own ki potential and power. Since Goku has gotten significantly stronger The Nimbus is also significantly faster in almost a 1 for 1 exchange.
The pair drove by the mountains and the trees only to appear before the white capsule home and blue shack on the left side. Goku jumped with ferocity and landed in a forceful entry right on his knee.
DOM!
He stood up and smiled. He breathed in deep and closed his eyes, upon release of the breath he opened them again and strided to the door regally. He knocked on the door kind of inconspicuously and bobbed up and down like a kid as he waited.
"One moment!" Chi-Chi yelled from beyond, increasing his excitement, making it even harder to stay incognito.
After a while his wife opened the door calmly only to stare back at Goku in his Kai uniform. He smiled wide and Chi-Chi couldn't say anything.
"I'm home."
She jumped into his arms, teary eyed, and wrapped her legs around his waist.
"You know Gohan looked for the Dragon Balls without you~" She whimpered out.
"We can't baby em' forever Chi-Chi. I'm glad he got to do it without me."
"I missed you."
"You're the one that made it so easy to train my ass off, you know that?"
She hugged him tighter and cried through her smile.
"I knew that, if I didn't train even harder than last time you'd have to look at the hole in my torso for the third time."
"Goku-huhu, shut up~" Her chokey laughs made him laugh in response.
"You always smell so nice." He spoke softly, pressing her head against his. "That's what I miss the most. That smell~"
Goku and Chi-Chi recalled their embrace and he let her down onto the ground.
"Now where's Gohan?"
"He's in his room, studying."
Goku nodded and instead of walking in, just cleared the house with a jump and landed in front of Gohan's window. He peered through the glass for a while, his nostrils fogging them up. Gohan finally saw him and ran over to do the same. Goku laughed for a while before Gohan opened up the window.
"Dad!" Gohan jumped into Goku's arms and he caught the small boy like he was just a stuffed animal and put him on his shoulder.
"What's up, Gohan!?"
"What's up with you?" He shot back immediately, grabbing onto the man's yellow ring above his head.
"I'm not technically alive, Baba brought me back to the world of the living for a day."
Gohan looked down with melancholy. Goku's face was written with distraught.
"Heyyy, what's wrong?"
"Do you not like us enough to come back?"
"Of course I do." He brought Gohan in close to his chest. "Me and my friends have to fight soon."
"You do?"
"Yeah. It was the best plan we had, we'll wish me back with the Dragon Balls next time, no big deal, okay?"
"Okay."
The father and son hugged it out before Goku climbed through the window and laid him down at his desk.
"Alright, I have to go again son. Keep your studies up, you're far smarter than I was at your age. I didn't know anything."
His cheeks ran rosey as his father left the door with stomping confident strides.
"Chi-Chi!"
"Yes dear?" She rounded the corner with wide eyes.
"Do you know where the Power Pole is?"
"It's in Gohan's." She pointed with her thumb out the window.
"Thank you." He palmed her right hand with his and they crossed their fingers over one another, Goku brought her hand to his face and looked her in the eyes. "I've got to go again, I know you don't like it when I fight but it's who I am."
"I know…" She responded with a bit of sorrow.
He nodded and broke away from her grasp, flinging the door open and making a mad dash to the shack with the blue roof. He flung those doors open too, wearing a sharp brow.
"I'm back, grandpa, give me your strength!" He stated loudly as he snatched the red staff and carrying case from the bed.
He got down on both knees in a prayer and bowed deeply to the blue dresser at the back of the room. After a moment of meditation, Goku threw the Power Pole and its equipment over his shoulder and b-lined it for the door. He stared at the clouds for a brief second and called out loudly:
"NIMBUUUUUS!" The might of the Oozaru roared through Goku's voice, far more animalistic than he usually was.
The orange companion came right away and Goku backflipped onto it with style, as soon as his black kung fu shoes touched the cottony substance he shot off like an arrow into the sky.
The Z Fighters VS Nappa
Objective: Cover Yamcha's dumb ass!
"We've got something rapidly approaching our location!"
"Nappa I told you I don't give a damn, I'm trying to find out how to procure the wish!" As The Prince retorted his guard's words Yamcha came into range.
The Wolf would spare no time, and ask no questions. His animalistic eyes telling the entirety of the story. He had been training over 10 months for this and he wasn't gonna let the Saiyans off with a warning for making him train for so long.
"Nappa watch out!"
Vegeta was the only one of the four who could actually see Yamcha coming, everyone else could only see the orange lines Yamcha drew with his gi.
WHOKK!
The Wolf made clean contact on the right cheek of the burly Saiyan and the intense momentum he carried shot him and Nappa across the grassy plains. Yamcha skirted to a stop using his right hand as a break as well as to pivot. He looked to Vegeta who looked back, amused. Yamcha dashed at Vegeta and the Saiyan only backpedaled, dodging the flurry of blows while laughing. He stuck the bottom of his boot on Yamcha's head as he went low, front kicking him across the grass, kicking up dirt and rocks like crazy.
DM! Swu~ SKffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffff!
"Your enemy is over there, I suggest you look alive." Vegeta shot back with a smile as Yamcha uprooted his face from the grass.
"That was pretty good mutt, I gotta hand it to ya." Nappa proclaimed as he wiped the side of his jaw, standing up tall.
The muscled bound Saiyan looked over to Piccolo another time and just thought to himself:
"Man, that Namek is tall. What is he like 6'7?"
Yamcha stared daggers at Vegeta and The Prince flashed his pearly whites at the ordeal it clearly was to The Wolf. Yamcha readied his stance to dash at Vegeta again but was caught off guard by the stomping earthquakes the Saiyan to his left caused by barreling onto his location. Nappa charged at the earthling before being waylaid by the small one wearing an orange vest and pants. Nappa put up his right forearm to block the high roundhouse aimed at his face.
Krillin flipped back gracefully after the block and landed calmly in his turtle hermit stance. Nappa smiled and reared back his left hand, yellow aura radiating off of it like mist. Krillin eyed it carefully but the big Saiyan launched it quick, little time to react on his part. Yamcha got in the way but the misty wave of energy didn't seem to impact his body directly, it rolled off of his body as Yamcha gracefully maneuvered his shoulders like a dancer.
Vegeta stood stunned.
"Is that what I think it is!?" He echoed through his mind. "Preposterous!"
The ki shot out like a bullet and slammed into a large boulder far away, obliterating it immediately. Yamcha dashed in a straight line right at Nappa only to vanish into an orange brushstroke and appear behind him.
DMM!
He landed a high right roundhouse at his enemy's nape, causing him to stumble forward with a shaky stance. Krillin caught the rebound and jumped high, slamming an upwards kick with his left right into the Saiyan's jaw.
TOKK!
Krillin looked to follow up with a spinning back thrust but had his leg caught by the meaty claw of the bald Saiyan.
"You're gonna have to do better than that, Earthling!"
Nappa slammed Krillin's face into the grass hard, a dull thud bellowing out.
"Gukk~" Krillin let out involuntarily.
Yamcha gave no quarter, pursuing Nappa immediately. He rushed in to break the hold the man had on his friend, his right hand going for a backfist. Nappa caught it with his left and pulled Yamcha in deep, cracking the crown of his head against Yamcha's face.
WHACKK!
"Gyeeow~" Yamcha held onto his nose as he stumbled back.
"SOLAR FLARE~"
Krillin yelled loudly just as Nappa averted his gaze back to the turtle student, a bright white flash of light even getting to Vegeta.
"Dah!" He attempted to shield his eyes but to no avail. "What the hell was that!?"
Nappa wailed out in a screech.
"GAHH!"
His stomping footsteps backwards were not enough to get him out of the way of Piccolo. The Demon raised his right hand back and slammed it into the back of the burly goliath. Nappa stepped forward only to meet the combined effort of Yamcha and Krillin. Nappa prepared for the event even though he couldn't see, rearing his index and middle finger back and then drawing a straight line in front of him. As he drew a yellowish black blade of energy and it shot with great speed at the two and a sizable explosion rang out.
KA-KOOOOOOOMM!
Krillin was blasted back far, rustling and tumbling onto the grass before finally crashing into a boulder.
KUF!
"Gggeh~" Krillin mumbled as he struggled to stand. "That guy hit me like two times…"
Whereas Krillin was launched away by the blast, Yamcha ducked under the explosive wave of energy in a low sprint, his chest not very far off the ground. He cleared through the smoke and met up face to face with his adversary. Nappa was still reeling from the bright flashbang of the Solar Flare and threw a half-assed hook at the enemy he knew was there but couldn't see. Yamcha ducked with ease and punished with a right-left high kick combination, the same he used to break open the ceiling on the airship.
Woosh! Dum-DMM!
"GRrrrrrgh!" Nappa grunted as he lifted into the air.
Yamcha's kicks forced Nappa off of the ground but only a little, prompting The Wolf to spin and go for a back thrust kick mid air as a 3-piece with his right. His foot made contact but it seemed to deal no damage, not pressing his opponent back very far. Yamcha's eyes widened as Nappa went for a bear hug. Just as his big arms descended upon him Piccolo snatched Yamcha's vest collar and yanked him out of the way. He skidded across the dirt on his but and stood up quick to dust himself off.
The Wolf looked to Piccolo with a scowl before turning around. Piccolo let out a laugh-breath through his nostrils before resuming his cross armed stance. Yamcha got into Wasteland Stance, his body low to the ground in a flexible lean and claws outstretched. Nappa grabbed at his brow and looked through spread fingers.
"Getting to be a bit much for you eh, Nappa?"
"It'd be nothing if you joined in, Vegeta."
"Oh no." He smiled. "Whyever would I do that?"
"Saiyan's honour."
"Saiyan's honour."
They couldn't see it through the big hand he had just placed over his face but Nappa wore a pretty big scowl underneath.
"Fool. We're stronger than the majority in The Cold Estate but we're nothing to those few above us. You waste this chance at a wish and we'll never get back at those white snakes." He cursed to himself.
Yamcha dashed with reckless abandon and barely whiffed as Nappa selected a preemptive dodge outside to the left, shifting in a clockwise motion.
"If my damn eyes weren't busted." He cursed to himself again as he put up a block against The Wolf's claws.
Nappa looked for a good moment and slammed his whole freight train body forward at Yamcha, not something dodged so easily seeing as Nappa spread out his entire wingspan to block off the escape routes. He wasn't sent back as much as he was stuck to the weighty armour before him like glue. Nappa jumped up, grabbed hold tight, and came crashing into the earth like a meteor, all his weight and power right onto the chest of the much smaller man. His large pauldron jammed into Yamcha's left shoulder and The Wolf cried out in pain.
"GAAAAAAAAAAAaaaaaaaa~"
Piccolo nodded intently and Nappa looked to finish the job with a high right hand. The Demon stopped it halfway with an extended arm and a hand on the wrist. Nappa looked back with shaky vision and fired anyway, a loose cannon of yellow light out of his maw. Piccolo didn't expect such a blast and barely got out of the way in time, the left side of his cape blown clean off and as a result, falling to the grass with a thud.
SVYOOOOOOOooooooooooo~ Dm.
Piccolo looked back as the yellow streams dissipated off in the distance and Nappa tried to finish Yamcha off again only to be stopped by a mysterious force that tugged at his arm.
"What tha~"
The Emperor looked down at the burly Saiyan's right hand intently, his own arms both outstretched and the air around them warping as if an invisible fire was lit just in front of them. Tien touched down and dashed straight away at the large adversary. Nappa broke free just in time, causing an exhalation of breath to shoot out of Chiaotzu like he had been holding it all day. Nappa's brow was as sharp as could be and a bull-like smoke billowed out of his nostrils as he turned to the three-eyed man. Tien shot low and instead of attacking, positioned for a volleyball fist grapple on The Wolf.
Vegeta whistled as Tien slid right past the eager behemoth, Yamcha in tow.
"You alright, Wolf?"
Krillin blocked off the path to the wounded man and stood toe to toe with Nappa's enormous frame advantage over him. Vegeta snickered a laugh as Nappa wiped at his eyes.
"That's a decent technique you got there, Earthling."
"Thanks." Krillin responded plainly, staring back at Nappa.
Nappa got into a low stance, his right hand tucked at his side and his left outstretched and aimed at the small fighter before him.
"You might want to get out of the way." He suggested in a low growl and a frown.
A bead of sweat swam down his forehead and the burned incense dots he had. Nappa shot like a bullet, his huge frame somehow supporting this immense speed. Krillin just barely dodged the overhand right in a front roll through the large man's legs.
"Damn! Crafty little bastard." The aura around his frame permeated even more as he cracked his neck to both sides.
Chiaotzu rushed over to Yamcha. Tien standing up and looking to enter the fray.
"Yamcha, are you good?"
"Yeah, I'm alright." He grunted out as The Emperor helped him stand.
"Just take a breather." Chiaotzu reassured as he shot a curious glance at Vegeta.
"Hey! Piccolo!"
"What is it, Three Eyes?"
"Why isn't the spiky haired one fighting us?"
Piccolo waved him in. Tien just shot back a sharp brow.
"Explain it while we fight you bastard! I'm not gonna leave Krillin hanging like you will!"
The crane student dashed towards the big man in a fury just as Krillin was blasted back by a semi-upwards uppercut-hook type attack. The cross armed block the turtle student put up seemed to be an okay tool for the job as Krillin broke out into a starfish mid flight, stopping his momentum.
KROK! FWoooooos-SKWE~
Tien prepared his crane stance, lifting up his left leg and slamming it on the ground and tightening.
"Let's go!"
"Tch." He scoffed, looking around at the now five different fighters before him.
Tien shot a subtle signal with his third eye to Krillin, drawing a circular motion with it. The turtle student nodded and they dashed pretty decently in time. Nappa's focus was drawn to two points and he looked back and forth rapidly before Krillin stopped his momentum, sliding on the grass and kicking up dust. He then looked to Tien who pressed out his arms in a volleyball receiving motion, hands clasped together. The three-eyed man let out a guttural roar like he was in pain and an extra pair of arms shot out of his shoulder blades.
"DuuuuuuuuuuaaaaaaAAAAAAGH!"
"HUH!?" Nappa yelped, truly at a loss as the three-eyed now four-armed Earthling rushed him.
Tien drove in close, all four arms spread out wide and his index and middle fingers at the ready like crane beaks. He pressed his advance, all four arms striking rapidly and bellowing out like gunfire, Nappa kept a tight guard on his face while the rest of the strikes bounced off of his armour. He swiped wide with his left, parrying the crane student's right arms downward and throwing him off balance. Nappa looked to follow through with another right overhand but Krillin long-jump leaped from behind and thrust kicked at his forearm like he was wall jumping, launching it the other way.
"Grrrrrrr!" He grunted out as he slid, teeth grit tightly.
Chiaotzu floated overhead and looked down at the burly Saiyan. Yamcha finally dusted himself off and returned to battle. Nappa scoffed again and looked around at the four Earthlings surrounding him.
"Just great." He fixed his scouter, positioning it a little higher up. "My only saving grace is that Namek over there doesn't seem to want to join in on the fun." He thought to himself. "Maybe they are a prideful people like the Saiyans."
Nappa put his guard up again while the four surrounded him. The Wolf's brow sharpened downwards and he huffed out a big breath, blowing loose strands of long hair out of his scarred face. He got low and zipped right in front of the large Saiyan.
"Runt!" Is all he could get out as Yamcha whirlwinded around him.
Vegeta's eyes widened at the speed.
"Just how fast is this earthling?"
Yamcha came from above only to be blasted away as Nappa forewent any guessing games, casting the volcano right on his location, a large stream of yellow ki blowing up the area around and above the Saiyan.
Vwu~BOOOOOOOOMMM!
Nappa received some decent damage for his troubles, the lashback of standing right in the middle carving in some bruises and burns but the immaculate armour protecting almost all of him while The Wolf was blown up epically.
"Yamchaaa~" Krillin yelled as The Wolf was impacted and thrown to the wayside.
"PHU!" Nappa breathed out heavily to the side.
Tien's first set of arms he met with the left catching his fist while the top set performed the ninja-like handsign. He looked to Krillin with all three and shifted his head. Krillin met his gaze and nodded before steeling himself. Piccolo looked on intently, throwing his turban over near his tattered cape and proceeding to return to crossing his arms. Chiaotzu looked on with his hands at the ready. Tien looked upward and nodded a single time before he rushed the big Saiyan.
"HAAAH!" Tien shouted in a war cry as he rushed Nappa, all four arms striking rapidly.
Tatatatattatatatatatatatatatatatatatatatatatatatatattatatatatatattattatata!
The blows bounced right off of his armour and sturdy forearms and Nappa looked to clear away his hands just as he did last time but the crane student's third eye was too perceptive, barely registering the parry in time. Tien edged back just the smallest fraction, retracting all four limbs as Nappa brushed along with his left forearm. With the usual pair Tien grabbed hold of Nappa's bicep with his left and the Saiyan's black bracer with his right.
"NOW!" Tien shouted at the top of his lungs.
Chiaotzu forced a huge wave of pressure out of his hands and it impacted the large Saiyan intensely.
"Ggguhh~" He grunted stupidly as he was caught in Chiaotzu's technique.
Krillin dashed around in a wide arc meeting right up with Tien, turning around and facing his back to the stuck enemy before hitting a gainer. The impressive acrobatic skill one might think was totally unnecessary but the positioning, and drawing of attention was important. Krillin and Tien's bald heads parallel and right next to each other. Tien shifted his hold on Nappa's arm to that of his neck, forcing him to look the pair dead on as they:
"SOLAR~FLAARE!"
ZNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN~
The flash of bright light was too much, one was enough but the stacked attack of the Earthlings really tore deep into his eyes. The Saiyan roared with great distress, stomping back in disarray. Krillin and his three-eyed companion roared like a vehicle to start up before rushing at the same time. As they dashed Tien recalled the top arms with a clasping of his regular ones in the volleyball position. Krillin dashed ahead, leaping off the grass and then off of Nappa's large dome in a mario footstool fashion.
Tien met the forward push of Nappa with his left elbow right in the teeth, a harsh crack ringing out. Krillin caught the rebound skillfully, throwing a spinning roundhouse with his left at the big man's nape. The power blow sent Nappa right back and Tien threw his right elbow, this time in a hooking arc as opposed to a tackling, piercing motion. The result was that Nappa backpedalled more, woefully off balance. Krillin didn't make it any easier by landing on the big Saiyan's chest and jumping high off of it.
"Volleyball Fist!"
Nappa's eyes were fucked and so was his head, he would be looking at stars in the daylight if he could manage to see past the white nothingness. The Saiyan started to fall to the ground, his right leg finally giving out, the last bastion of his balance. Tien pressured this moment of weakness and snuck right under him, knocking him up with a slide-by left palm and then overhead pressing the burly man high up.
"One~Two!"
Krillin met the beast right in the air with a cold kick-the-moon flip right at the man's stomach. Krillin's eyes grew wide and he looked over at the wounded but definitely-going-nowhere-Nappa. Piccolo nodded a final time.
"That big one isn't winning so I needn't worry about him. The question is: How do I get the armour off of the blue Saiyan? It's quite possibly the only thing I've ever seen be so effective against the type of damage we are capable of dealing."
"Krillin!" Chiaotzu shrieked as he shot a Dodon Ray at Nappa. "Dodon Ray!"
Nappa barely heard the callout in time and managed to stuff it with the black bracer. Even though it didn't impact him directly, the intense piercing power of the ray cracked and shot the protective armament off of his left arm. Krillin rebounded from his attempted kick-the-moon and shot back at his target with a quick burst of flight, rearing back his left hand and slamming it down on the foe's bald head in a hammerfist.
Tien took in a deep breath as the large Nappa barreled back onto his location. The crane student shot his left knee up high and slammed his foot onto the grass in a flourish, the ground cracking and heaving from the dramatic display. As soon as his left foot made contact with the ground it rebounded and shot high up in the air and Tien leaned back, his legs in a full split upward. Nappa was almost spearheaded by the power of The Crane's left leg and the back of his armour came off in chunks, but only on and around the point of contact. Tien breathed out spiritedly and threw Nappa onto the ground in a graceful display.
Tien finally opened his eyes and stared at Vegeta.
"Phuuuuuu~" He breathed out slowly and wiped the sweat off his brow.
Nappa squirmed and wriggled on the ground in pain before attempting to stand up. Piccolo appeared before him in a flourish, cracking his knuckles.
"Not a chance."
WHOKK!
Nappa laid limp on the ground after that.
"Phuuuuu~" Tien let out another loose breath and turned his attention to the smaller Saiyan.
"Bravo, I mean really. Pretty decent for Earthlings. The problem is that I'm not cut from the same cloth as Nappa."
"Oh really? Interesting." Tien pushed his luck with a sarcastic call out and raised brow.
Krillin walked around and stood shoulder to shoulder with The Crane. Chiaotzu floated by overhead. Piccolo walked away from The Prince and met up with the others on the opposing side. Yamcha struggled back to his feet from far off and stared intently at Vegeta. Tien was taken aback at The Wolf's resilience, unable to keep it from The Prince. Vegeta drew the line of the three-eyed man's vision and saw the shaggy haired foe rise to his feet.
"Good. You're going to need the help." He said cockily with a smile.
Vegeta stepped forward with swagger, cracking his knuckles and wrists. He fixed his scouter and cracked his neck on both sides. He was very casual for being outnumbered 5 to 1.
"Let's begin."
The sly smile The Saiyan Prince had on that day was unmistakable. Krillin was going to remember that face for the rest of his life.
