A/N: The story takes place in Chicago Fire around season 2 when Gabby was at the academy. I decided to make it so that Mills left during this time because if he hadn't there wouldn't be a place for Tali at the firehouse. Ziva had been around 21 when she first showed and concluded that between her and Tali there is a 4 year gap. Meaning that in Season 6/7 Ziva is around 24-25. I made that gap smaller for 2 years. Since it has been what 2 years ish throughout my story, this means that Ziva is around 27-28 and Tali is still 26 as mentioned in chapter 23.

"Kelly I- thank you." The hormones were trying to get the best of her but she didn't let them. She pushed the tears back and hugged him as best as she could without squishing her belly. Severide kissed her and helped her out of her tank top and sorts. He helped lay her in the tub and put some bubbles in. He helped wash her back and body with the luffa. He also rubbed her shoulders. After the relaxing bath he rubbed some lotion on her body and helped her change into some sweats and an army green bralette. She layed back down in bed as she was on bed rest. Her and Severide were watching movies all day. During an action movie that Severide had chosen, Tali felt the baby kick. She put one hand over her belly and touched Severide with the other as if to inform him. He looked down as Tali moved her hand and he saw her belly rise a bit as he could see little bits of skin lift where their baby girl was kicking. He put a hand over her belly and it brought even more joy to them both. They both snuggled closer as they finished watching the movie, just the three of them.

It had been two weeks since the couple had come back from their trip to D.C.. Severide had gone back to work and Tali was still on bed rest and it was boring! She wasn't used to sitting still and not doing anything for weeks. During the two weeks she had felt exceptionally well. Severide would constantly check in on her when he had time in between calls. Tali made a split decision, she would visit him at the firehouse. She hadn't been out of the house in those two weeks. She carefully put on some leggings and one of Severide's Station 55 shirts. She brushed her long curls and placed them neatly over her shoulders. Quickly she hopped into her car and drove to the station. When she got there, the barn doors were open and the trucks were out signalling that they were all on a call so the station would be empty. She got out and half waddled her way into the station. She made her way into the kitchen and decided to bake something. She had been craving Rugelach rolls. She was most honestly shocked to find all the ingredients that she needed. She started mixing the ingredients and noticed she was covered in flour. Somehow she always ended up dirty or covered in some of the ingredients she used. Once she was done she placed the Rugelach rolls into the oven and headed into the bathroom. As she was finishing up she heard the trucks and engines rolling in as well as doors closing with small chatter following. She dried her hands and stepped out into the hall and was about to enter the lounge area when she heard a conversation.
"Do you think it was someone we rescued that baked for us?" Cruz asked as he took the Rugelach rolls out of the oven.
"I don't know, maybe someone's wife came over?" Brett suggested.
"Ding ding ding we have a winner!" Tali exclaimed shocking them as she walked in exhaling which made her accent sound thicker.
"Sweet Jesus mujer! You scared the crap out of us!" Cruz exclaimed as he put a hand over his heart. She chuckled slightly and walked over behind the counter.
"I see that they are ready." Tali stated.
"Looks delicious but what are you doing here? Shouldn't you be in bed?" Bette asked. Tali just sighed as she leaned against the counter.
"I know but I can't stand not doing anything!" She exhaled and debated like a child. Severide walked in and went over to his wife to hug her from behind. He kissed her temple and spoke up.
"You should be at home...in bed… relaxing." He told her.
"I was bored out of my brain!" She said with a smile on her lips.
"Mind. Bored out of your mind but you should stay in bed and wouldn't want anything to happen to the baby eh." Herrman spoke up as he walked into the kitchen.
"I know I want what's best for her too but once isn't going to hurt." She smiled slyly as she rubbed her belly. Just then a few people walked into the lounge area as well with hands full of equipment. Just then Chief Boden walked in as well with a sort of embarrassed expression displayed across his face.
"Alright everyone listen up! I have taken this firehouse out of commission for the rest of the shift. Here before me is photographer John Cameron and his crew. We have….so uh fortunately…. Been chosen for this year, for this year's firefighter calendar shoot." Boden said the last sentence with a soft exhale and a roll of the eyes. Slight groans were heard from Tali's coworkers. Soon enough John and his crew started setting up their equipment in the barn near the trucks.
"I guess this is where I say goodbye you know. Goodluck to all of you." Tali tried to sneakily slip out of her husband's grasp and exit the firehouse. Luckily enough Severide stopped her.
"No no way you get out of here. Or have you forgotten that you work here as well. Right Chief?" Severide said with a sly smile as Tali's face had a small 'o' shape to it.
"Yes, Severide you are completely correct. After all you are only on maternity leave for a little bit. And seeing as you were well enough to drive here and bake, why don't you take part in the photoshoot. Great idea!" Boden said with a smile on his lips as everyone else chuckled and Tali let out a small scoff. Severide pushed her out into the barn to hear John's instructions. He told her to change into her turnout gear but without the jacket. With the help of Severide she got it on and went back into the barn. Cruz was currently posing with Herrman which made her laugh slightly. John came up to her and Severide and led her in front of the engine. He made her sit on the front part of the engine and to pull at her turnout gears suspenders. Severide had to stand next to her and lean against the engine. John said the frame was missing something so he called Casey over, asking him to pose behind Tali. They took some individual pictures and one of all the people at work that day.
Half way through the shoot Tali was exhausted so she was allowed to change back into her normal clothes and headed into the lounge. She sat on the couch listening to the small chatter around her as she fell into a peaceful slumber.
Severide walked in talking with Casey and Herrman. Laughing slightly at the story Herrman was telling about his son. They all stopped as they saw Tali sleeping on her side on the couch.
"Should I move her to the bunks? So she could be more comfortable?" Severide asked, looking at both men. They worked out that it would be better for her back to sleep on the cots/mattresses in the sleeping quarters.
"Just whatever you do. Do. Not. Wake. Her. Let me tell you, pregnant women, if you wake them, you better run for your life." Herrman said resting a supportive hand on Severide's shoulder leaving him with his mouth agape. Casey patted him on the back before walking away and wishing him good luck. Severide carefully slipped his arms under her knees and behind her neck, carrying her bridal style towards the bunk rooms. Little did he know John had snapped a photo of him carrying her. He laid her on his mattress gently as she stirred, letting out small gasps until she finally calmed down. He furrowed his eyebrows in concern and reluctantly headed out of the small room.
A few hours later…
Tali jolted awake as a pain shot through her back that made her toes curl. She let out a small involuntary groan. She had thought the baby was just kicking and tried to go back to sleep but she couldn't'. She finally mustered up the power and walked out into the lounge room where everyone was laughing and watching the tv. As she walked in she noticed Severide's expression drop as he scanned over her facial features and then his eyes landed on her legs, where a mix of blood and water was starting to pool under. Severide started walking towards her as the others got up with concern.
"I- I- I'm really s-sorry. I- I- I think there is something really wrong. Ughh I- I - I am so sorry Kelly." Tali whimpered out as she fell, clutching her stomach and Severide catching her. Everyone sprung into action without anything being said. Brette and Gaby went to get the gurney while Shay started checking her vitals. Shortly after they had checked her vitals which were low and they got her into the ambulance, letting Severide in as they drove off to the hospital. The rest of her friends and coworkers rushed to the hospital as well. Severide quickly shot a text to Gibbs, Ziva and the team letting them know something was wrong and that he would update them on her condition. Tali was now dripping in her sweat as yet another pain went through her back ending lower down in her stomach, and she let out a small shriek causing Severide to grip her hand tighter letting her know he was there for her. They got to the hospital fairly quickly and got Tali out wheeling her in as Shay told the doctors her condition. They moved her into a more private room up on the maternity floor and some nurses held Severide back as he wanted to be in the same room with his wife. She had her head rolled back and her hands fisted into the gurney's sheets now stained with her blood.
"Pl-ple-please tell m- me i- is my b-baby girl alright, I- I- p-please save her?" Tali asked the nurse who was now looking at where the blood was coming from.
"There is some good news, your baby girl is alright, bad news, you have to start pushing now without any medication." The OB said as she shot Tali a caring look, one of sympathy. A nurse went out to inform Severide who was now surrounded by his friends from work.
"Your baby girl is going to be born, like right now." The nurse said as she pulled him with her to the room Tali was in. Severide shot a quick text to Gibbs telling him to come quickly. He walked into the room noticing Tali had been changed into a pink hospital gown. He rushed to her side to hold her hand knowing the situation she was in and how she wouldn't be receiving any pain medication. She was only 6 centimeters dilated but she had to start pushing, since the baby had dropped while she was being changed making her 8 centimeters dilated. Severide then started whispering one sentence over and over into her ear as he kissed her temple.
"We're going to have a baby."
