Gran Pulse, New Bodhum
Three weeks have past since Virgil have left the Underworld after he and the others have defeated Gogmagog, Aloeidai, and the group monsters. Virgil have decided that he has to get stronger since he'll have to face enemies in the future. He was honing his skills and keeping his fighting style well-balanced, but he test out some new weapons in order to get familiar. Of course, Serah had her planning schedule for her nephew, telling him that he has to do homework by morning so he won't fall behind, do some training and spar with either Lightning, Snow, Hope, Fang, Vanille, or Noel in the afternoon which he also have to spar multiple opponents just to be well-coordinated.
Kalawarner and Mittelt have visited in Gran Pulse to learn some magic from Hope and Yubelluna since both of them were magic specialist and they're getting stronger when he was sparring Virgil.
However, Virgil had spend less timing with Nora, leaving her upset and sad that he can't come and play with her only because her cousin has responsibility as a l'Cie, a Champion of Etro, and a representative of Gran Pulse. Both Snow and Serah knew that their daughter wants to spend some time with him. They come up with the idea as they have some discussion with their nephew, telling him that she wants to spend some time with him which he can understand that, but he told them that he doesn't have time for her and told them that there will be enemies that were stronger than anyone, much to their understand since he has a point. Snow then come up the solution, he told him that he can spend some time with Nora by training her, told him that she wants to be strong like him and wanted to help him. What he didn't know was that Nora have became a l'Cie and her Focus was to become strong like him and she wanted to help him which basically, Virgil was Nora's Focus. Also, Nora has an Eidolon which it was Carbuncle, much to his dismay. He then decided to train her since she has learned to fight in combat and magic from Snow, Hope, and Lightning.
Of course, his ways of training her was harsh and hard like his adopted mother's training method. Virgil was surprised that Nora picked up the stances and magic pretty quickly, she was able to follow his movements and combat stances perfectly during her own spare time. Virgil made a mental note to teach Nora the advance stances and maybe spar with her next time.
Now, Virgil was sparring against Nora since he would make it longer since she needed to be pushed beyond her limits if she was to survive and fight against enemies in the future. After three hours, Virgil called it quits.
"Alright, that's enough for today. We'll pick it up again by tomorrow." Virgil told her, placing his gunblade on his holster while heading towards the house to take a shower.
Nora was lying on the sand sweating and breathing heavily from the spar, her body ached and she was pretty sure that Virgil hadn't broken a sweat the entire time. She wasn't physically hurt, just exhausted and tired from sparring. Serah gave her daughter some water and sat with her.
When he finished his shower and his clothes changed, Lightning called her son.
"Virgil, there's someone who wants to see you." Lightning told him.
Virgil came out of his room as he head towards downstairs when he saw Sirzechs and Grayfia were on the couch.
"Hello Virgil." Sirzechs greeted warmly. "Are you free?"
"Hi Sirzechs." Virgil greets with a smile. "And yes, I am free. Why do you ask?"
"Well, tomorrow evening is the reception for the young Devils before the first Rating Game." Sirzechs explains. "Since you're strong by your own right and I can tell you've gotten stronger, as well as someone I can trust, I was wondering if maybe you would like to come along as a guard?"
That got Virgil caught off-guard by surprise as he spoke.
"I thank you for trusting for something like that." Virgil thanked him. "I don't mind, but I'm afraid I'll end up getting bored."
"Oh don't worry." Sirzechs said with a small chuckle. "You don't need to be so serious, it's more of a formality. You can feel free to socialize with whoever you wish, just try to keep aware of anything suspicious though. It's been quite a while since my sister, her peerage, and the others saw you and fought together, so I'm sure they appreciate it."
"Speaking of which, how are they doing?" Virgil asks.
"Azazel have given them a three weeks training since you were gone to Gran Pulse." Sirzechs told him. "Now, Rias was furthering her knowledge for strategy, the Evil Pieces, and I have to train her of using the Power of Destruction since her stability and her mana still needs a bit of work. Akeno on the other hand, she couldn't grasp her power due to her heritage of the Fallen Angel and she still held a grudge against her father. Both Kiba and Tosca were continuing to hone their skills and master their Sacred Gears from their sword-masters. Xenovia was still having quite a struggle for wielding Durandal, but it takes sheer will to master that blade. Gasper was still making a little progress for go out where people can see them."
"Well, I think it's best if we let Gasper do it at his own pace." Virgil stated, earned a nod from him an agreement. "What about Asia, Koneko, and Issei?"
"Koneko was making some progress, her sister was eligible of teaching her of Senjutsu and she was able to further her powers and her Rook piece. Asia was also making progress, her Twilight Healing is a dependent Sacred Gear since she can channel her ability her allies, even if it means far away." Sirzechs explains. "As for Issei, he still wasn't able to achieve his Balance Breaker, but he was able to have more endurance."
'Figures, Issei was still lacking about everything.' Virgil mentally thought with his dull expression.
Until, Serah and Nora were inside of the house as she heads to the bathroom to get herself cleanup since she was tired and sweaty.
"Is there something I should know?" Sirzechs questioned.
"Nora was upset that Virgil was spending less time with her." Lightning explains. "I told her that he has big responsibility as a l'Cie and he was training to get stronger whenever he faces enemies that were stronger in the future."
"Snow then wants him to train Nora so they can spend some time together." Serah added. "Apparently, he was doing the same harsh training method like Lightning once did."
"I see." Sirzechs said with an understanding. "How long has Nora been in training?"
"When she was 6." Serah answered. "She ask Snow to train her. But what surprised us was that she became a l'Cie."
"What!?" Sirzechs exclaims with shock. "Then, what was her Focus?"
"As far as I know, she wants to be strong like Virgil, but what she failed to realize was that he had a Focus for a reason." Serah told him. "Virgil's Focus were his friends and family. Nora's Focus was similar to his, but different."
Sirzechs then gave them a nod with an understanding as he then turned to Virgil as he spoke.
"Well Virgil, did you know?" Sirzechs asks.
"Yes, she told me." Virgil nods. "Nora's Focus was similar. True that she wants to be strong like me, but she needs to realize that there's more to it than just power."
"I can understand that, she's young but this is something that she needs to discover for herself." Sirzechs told him. "Hopefully, she'll understand what her Focus really is."
Virgil gave him a nod with an understanding.
"So, have you decided to come to the Underworld?" Sirzechs asks.
"Yeah, I'll be there." Virgil nods.
"Wonderful." Sirzechs said cheerfully with a smile. "I'll have Grayfia to pick you up tomorrow."
With that, Sirzechs then use his magic circle to head back to the Underworld. Virgil then head towards the bar as he explain this to the former Phenex Servants which they're surprised that the Four Devil Kings was here in Gran Pulse. They were excited that they wanted to see the Phenex family again since they have a lot to catch up.
Underworld, Gremory Estate
The next day, Virgil have arrived at the Gremory Estate since Rias and her peerage, Tosca, Kalawarner, Mittelt, and Kuroka were in the room. Of course, he could hear that Issei was crying, telling her of how much he missed her so much when he's getting knocked out by Tannin, mostly her breasts. When he opened the door, they turned their heads to Virgil which they were happy to see him as Asia and Koneko hugged him. Kuroka then walk towards him, giving him a kiss.
"Welcome back, Virgil." Rias said with a smile. "I see you've gotten stronger since the last them we fought together."
"Funny, I could say the same thing about you and the others." Virgil said with a chuckle.
"Yeah it's all well and good that he's got more endurance." Azazel said with a smirk. "Unfortunately, he never manifest his Balance Breaker."
"Yeah, I suck." Issei said with a sigh. "Oh yeah, how's Nora doing by the way?"
"Well for one thing, she was upset that I spend less time with her since I have to focus on training whenever I have to face stronger enemies in the future." Virgil explains.
"I can understand that, but she spend some time with her family, right?" Rias questions.
"Yes, but like I said, she wants to spend some time with me." Virgil nods. "Uncle Snow and Aunt Serah told me about her."
"What they say?" Kalawarner inquired.
"They told me to train her in order to spend some time with her." Virgil told her. "Even though, my training method was harsh and hard like mom's."
"I guess she wants to get strong like you which she likes to spend some time with you. Of course, she learns how to fight from Snow, Hope, Lightning, and Noel." Azazel said seriously. "What is she doing right now?"
"She's taking a break from her training." Virgil told him, leaving them confused. "The reason is because she's a l'Cie."
"What!?" They shouted with shock.
"Since when?" Issei questioned.
"Three years ago." Virgil answered. "I just found out about it since Aunt Serah and Uncle Snow told me about her."
"Did she have a Focus?" Kiba asks.
"I don't think that's my place to say." Virgil told him. "It's something she needs to find out for herself. She's young, but she needs to figure it out on her own."
"Well, we'll just have to leave it at that then." Azazel said, stood up from his chair. "If you'll excuse me, I have to get ready for tonight's reception. I'll send someone for you later. There going to be a lot of different clans there."
With that, Azazel then left the Estate as Asia spoke.
"We're really invited to a fancy reception?" Asia asks.
"More like we're enlisted." Rias told her. "My brother has assigned us as guards for the VIP because things tend to get messy when High-ranking Devils meet up. That's politics for you."
"Everyone will be watching us." Kiba added seriously. "So we have to be on our best behavior, guys."
Underworld, Reception Hall
Few hours later, Virgil have changed his attire into a Paladin attire, Nemesis shield, and Immortal Order sword. He stood near one of those doors, scanning the young Devils when he saw Seekvaira and Sairaorg at the reception. Of course, a few of teenage girls had winked and giggled at the white-haired l'Cie. Some of them gained blushes or squealed when he played along and send a small smile back.
They also see Grayfia and Sirzechs at the stand have some discussions with the three.
The first man was known as Ajuka Beelzebub is a bewitchingly beautiful and attractive young man appearing in his early twenties with blue eyes and green hair that is slicked back. He wore an Egyptian-themed green cape around his shoulders with gold and black accents that exposed his upper body and light green tunic with gold accent.
The second man is a tall man whose head is completely bald and has a goatee on his chin. He wore a grey shoulder pauldrons with dark red jewel and red accents that has purple cape, draped around his back, black vest with grey and red accents, black pants, and grey knee-high boots with red accents.
The third man is a handsome man in his twenties with silver-white hair and purple eyes. He wore a purple beret, purple trench-coat over a black vest, white pants, and black boots.
"I've never seen this many Satan-Class Devils." Kiba said surprisingly. "At least not in one place anyway."
"It is pretty incredible." Xenovia added with a smile.
"It's been a while for us." Karlamine said.
"Just be careful not to offend anyone tonight, especially you Issei." Rias told him seriously. She wore a red dress with gold necklace, golden earrings, and her hair was tied into a ponytail with her black band.
"Why am I getting singled out!?" Issei exclaims.
Issei then look at Akeno. She wore a black kimono with white sash, and orange ribbons. She was staring at her father with her hatred expression on her face.
"Sup, Akeno." Issei greets, making snap out of her stupor.
"Hi Issei. You having a good time?" Akeno asks with a smile.
"Yeah alright." Issei answered. "I just realized I never asked you what kind of personal training you got to do?"
"It wasn't anything special. Normal stuff." Akeno lied.
Virgil already knew that Akeno didn't have a normal training. She was in training with her father which she still holds hatred towards him. Sona, Tsubaki, Reya, Tsubasa, and Saji arrived at the reception hall when they walk towards them.
Sona wore a blue dress with a light blue see-through sash at the front and a necklace around her neck.
Tsubaki wore a green dress and light green sash around her waist.
"It's good to see you again, Rias." Sona said with a smile.
"Same to you Sona. Welcome." Rias greeted her friend with a smile. "How was your training camp going?"
"Alright." Sona said as she then turned to Virgil when she saw him walking towards them. She hadn't been interacted with for a long time and she wanted to have more moments like that. He was one of the only boys that she really like and admittedly had a crush on him. "I wished that our next meeting was a little better than this, but I was wondering if you'd be interested in a game of chess."
Virgil gave a gentle smile that would make any girl's heart skip a beat.
"I would like that, Sona." Virgil said.
"Hey there, tiger." Tsubasa said as she then blushed when noticing Virgil have gotten stronger. It wasn't his attire, but it wasn't hard to notice. "Wow, you've gotten strong!"
"How's it hanging Hyoudou?" Saji asks with a smirk. "You getting on or getting off?"
"Can it be both?" Issei rhetorically questions. "So, the training kick your ass?"
"No way, dude." Saji denies. "You and I may have had the same teacher, but I took him to school."
"There you are, Sona!" Serafall exclaimed with a wave.
"Oh great, my sister's here." Sona said with her eyes-widened.
"It's been a long time, Lady Serafall." Rias greeted her with a smile.
"Oh, hi Rias. I see you brought the Red Dragon, Virgil, and everyone else." Serafall said with a wave.
"Wait, so you and Lady Serafall were friends or something?" Saji asks with confusion.
"That's right." Serafall said, having heard of Saji's question. "He's a really nice and serious guy, and surprisingly a dreamy guy, and it makes me so mad knowing that he's already taken!"
Virgil however didn't seem comfortable of the fact that Serafall wants in and neither is Kuroka. Whether either if she's serious or not is unknown.
"You know, I was thinking of something and I think I have come to a solution." Serafall said before she looks at Virgil with pleading puppy eyes. "Will you let me join your harem, Virgil? Pleeeaassee~?"
Before Virgil could answer, Kuroka and Sona snapped. "Absolutely not!"
The Sitri was just as embarrassed as the two lovers. Kuroka was ticked off when her tails pointed up and a tick mark on her head. Behind them, the former Phenex Servants, Asia and Koneko had steam coming out of their ears with blushes on their faces. Akeno then giggled with amusement.
Unknown to them, Kalawarner have overheard of their conversation when she seductively licking her lips while Mittelt had steam coming out of her ears with a blush on her face.
"I know that Michael and Gabriel should be arriving soon, but what about the others?" Sirzechs questioned.
"Don't worry, I stood Baraqiel on security duty." Azazel assures him. "And according to him, Odin is not far out either?"
"He's assigned to guarding Odin?" Sirzechs questions skeptically.
"As a precaution." Azazel answered. "Some of the other Norse Gods have a bug up their ass about the alliance he's made with you guys. So, I sent him an escort. Though, he wanted a prettier one and I told him about Virgil and his achievements."
"Yes, it seems they're always those who resist progress." Sirzechs agrees.
"Yeah, but the problem is that Khaos Brigade is recruiting those same people as we speak." Azazel explains.
Later, Virgil and the others were heading towards the waiting room after the argument have settled down, Serafall was attending to the other guests which everyone sighed relief that she was finally out of the picture.
"I swear, my sister really has no appreciation for tact." Sona said with exaggerated sigh.
The thought of Serafall with him would be a nightmare for Virgil. If a Devil King was involved or anyone with him, he would be a bigger target from envious men, especially due to Serafall's beautiful and sexy appearance. Plus, he won't take it of her childish antics.
"Are you really into a relationship with multiple girls even though you're dating Kuroka? Just like a hero!" Gasper exclaimed with wonder, looking up to Virgil like he was the shining example of what a hero was. But that got him into trouble when Virgil bonked him in a head, leaving a big bump on his head.
"More like she appointed herself as the main girl." Akeno teased, leaving Kuroka bonked her in a head, leaving a big bump on her head.
"I see, so that means that you had to have her permission to have sex with Virgil and then joined his harem." Xenovia said nonchalantly if not curious.
Saji and Issei grumbled with envy as Tsubasa and Reya looked a little amused.
"Stupid Virgil, getting all the girls." Saji said.
"Why haven't I at least lose my virginity while he and Kiba have already lost theirs!?" Issei wondered with irritation.
Virgil and Kuroka looked away from one another, felt embarrassed as he then cleared his throat.
"Can we change the subject, please?" Virgil asked with fluster.
"Were almost to the waiting room now. Let's hope we won't be in there long." Sona said which she agreed to his suggestion.
"A bunch of hormonal Devils stuffed into one room together?" Rias questions with a frown, feared of what they would encounter in the waiting room. "We'll be lucky if we get out alive."
"True that." Sona agrees.
Suddenly, the doors of the waiting room were blown off by a large explosion. Virgil pulled out his Immortal Order sword and his Nemesis shield while Kuroka readied her fireballs as the rush into the dust cloud, going into the room. When they enter the room and the dust cleared, they saw the source of the explosion. There were two Devils looking ready to kill each other.
They saw Seekvaira gave a sharp gaze at the other Devil.
He has lots of black-like magic tattoos on his face and on his upper body. He had a blue hair that stands on its end and matching eyes. He had pointed ears and had a silver earring on his left ear. He wore a yellow jacket with black stripes, dark red shirt with black vest with gold accents, black pants, and black boots.
"If you've got a death wish, I'm happy to fill it, Zephyrdor!" Seekvaira said with her cold tone.
"Filling is my job. Like I said before, if you want a virgin-purging, I'd volunteer." Zephyrdor said with an arrogant smirk.
Not wanting any more damages in the party, Virgil readied his Immortal Order while looking at Zephyrdor with his fierce gaze and Kuroka then readied her fireballs, staring at Seekvaira with her fierce gaze of her own, leaving them surprised to see them emerge.
"What's going on here?" Sona asked as the others came running through the clearing smoke.
"Apparently, these two were about to fight each other before the Rating Game." Virgil answered, keeping the Immortal Order in place.
"Seriously? What's their deal?" Xenovia asks.
"We're gonna rumble." Saji answered.
"Right on cue." Rias sighed with annoyance as she walk besides Issei and Xenovia.
"At least we've come to expect this sort of thing after all these years." Sairaorg said as Issei gaze his eyes onto him.
"Hello, Sairaorg." Rias greets with a smile as he gave them a wave.
"I'll give a warmer welcome later." Sairaorg said as he then approaches the two fighting heirs to step in between them. "That's enough! Don't dishonor the Agares family by humoring him, princess. We all know that he's the Glasya-Labolas problem child."
"Screw you, jackass! Nobody talks about me like that!" Zephyrdor snapped.
"I know it's strict, but that's your only warning. If you want to push it, I'd be more than happy to show the door." Sairaorg warned while cracking his knuckles, scowling at them.
Seekvaira was smart enough to back down and stay quiet, but Zephyrdor wasn't.
"Ha! I'm not afraid of Bael trash!" Zephyrdor said as he was about to attack him, but Sairaorg simply punches him, one so powerful it sent him flying to the wall behind him. The force of impact made Asia stumble and nearly fall over, but she was caught by someone.
"Don't worry, you're alright." He said with his gentle tone.
He was a gentle-looking young man with dark-green hair. He wore an expensive clothes and his eyes were shut.
"Uh, thank you." Asia thanked him nervously.
"That was nuts!" Saji said with shock, looking at Zephyrdor's unconscious body.
"At least he makes it easier for us." Virgil said with a sigh, placing his Immortal Order on his back while placing his Nemesis on his left shoulder.
"A fine showing by the next head to next Bael family head. No shock though, he is my cousin after all." Rias said with her serious expression, watching the scene.
Sairaorg then turned his head to Virgil, smirked as he walk towards him.
"I was kinda hoping that I get to see you again." Sairaorg said. "It's been a while since we fought together."
"Is has Sairaorg." Virgil said with a smirk. "How is your training camp went?"
"Better than you think." Sairaorg answered. "I can tell you've gotten stronger the last time we meet. Makes me hope that I can fight you to see how strong you really are."
Virgil then chuckle a bit as he gave him a nod with an agreement since he was thinking the same thing. Sairaorg then turns and walked away, leaving Virgil standing there with a smirk on his face. He was thinking that both Sairaorg and Snow would get along.
"It's good to see you again, Virgil." Seekvaira said with a smile, earned his attention. "Sorry that you and Kuroka have to get involve into a fight."
"It's fine." Virgil waves it off with a shrug. "Not the first time getting into a fight."
Seekvaira gave him a nod with an understanding as she spoke.
"That Devil Sairaorg knocked him earlier was Zephyrdor Glasya-Labolas." Seekvaira explains. "He's the next head of the Glasya-Labolas Household and he's a problem child."
"That last name of his is quite a mouthful." Virgil said, raised his eyebrow, leaving her giggled a bit. "Was he always like that?"
"Like I said, he's a problem child." Seekvaira told him. "And a bit of arrogant."
'Sounds like somebody I know.' Virgil thought with deadpan expression.
"Anyway, it was nice seeing you again." Seekvaira said, earned a nod from him as she turned and walk away.
Afterwards, the group split up to enjoy the party in their own way. The former Phenex servants were seen when they spotted the other members of Riser's peerage, but he was nowhere to be found. Both groups of women were hesitant to speak with one another, considering the previous event of the Rating Game and parted ways. However, Yubelluna decided to push those thoughts aside and approach them with the other seven following behind her.
Virgil was watching when he saw the girls talking and laughing, causing him to smile since they have a lot to catch up and patch things up.
"Umm...Hey Virgil. It's been a while." Ravel said with a smile, earned his attention.
He notice that she no longer wore a pink dress. She wore a light purple dress with white frills, orange and red accents, dark purple bow at the front, black stockings, and purple shoes. At the back, three feather-like extensions mimicking a bird's tail protrude from the dress.
"Hey Ravel." Virgil greets with a smile. "How have you been?"
"Well, I've gotten strong since I practiced with my brothers." Ravel answered. "My fire magic have gotten stronger and I've extended my knowledge of the Evil Pieces and the strategies for the Rating Game."
"I can see that." Virgil said with a chuckle. "What's going on with Riser? Haven't seen him since the Rating Game."
"He's been depress since the fight, but I guess that's what happen when he acted like he was hot stuff to begin with. Coming from me, I was no better." Ravel said. "You what they say about pride and falls."
"Be that as it may, but don't you think you're being a bit harsh on him? I get that he's arrogant, but he's still your brother." Virgil told her.
"Well, after I've heard that they were holding up in Gran Pulse, I was relieve to hear that they're holding up well." Ravel said when she looked at the former Phenex servants were chanting with their old friends. "But I can tell they've gotten stronger since the monster hunt and protecting New Bodhum. Plus, they were still dating with NORA members."
"Yeah, they maybe a bunch of goofballs, but their good guys." Virgil said with a chuckle. "They're enjoying their current lives. Also, they are happy and content being a new members of NORA and they're treating them fairly and equally."
"As I would expect from you." Ravel said with a smile as she then reached into her pocket. "Anyway, I would like to offer you this as thanks for taking care of them."
The object she was handing to him was a long black capsule with a Phenex crest. He recognize what that was.
"A Phoenix Tear?" Virgil asked. "You do realize I still have those in Gran Pulse?"
"I know, but this is a gift for a High-Class Devil. Also, I don't want you to die in the future battles whenever you have to face." Ravel said with a blush.
Virgil then gave her a nod with an understanding as he put the capsule on his pocket.
"Now that's out of the way, let me make you an offer you can't refuse. How about the next we meet, I can give a mouthful of my teas?" Ravel offered, making him confused. "Uh...what I meant was...Lately, I've been making my own cakes and they go great with tea. Maybe next time you can try them, but not right now. I need to greet the other guests, so I gotta go. Bye!"
With that, Ravel then quickly rushed away from him, leaving sighed with confusion. He thought Xenovia was confusing, but this is new to him. Like with Kuroka, Kalawarner, Asia, Koneko, and the other girls in his life, he figured that Ravel had a crush on him not only just by interaction, but his own actions. He'll have to admit, she was quite the beauty despite her age. Koneko furrowed her eyes at Ravel, tightened her fist with envy since she saw her interact with him.
Few minutes later, Akeno was standing away from the table with the rest of her friends were at. She was deeply troubled by the events that was placed during the training. Kiba then turned his head to Virgil as he spoke.
"Hey Virgil, do you have a minute?" Kiba questions, earned a nod from him. The two waked away from them so they can have some private time and away from Issei. When they were far enough from Issei and the others, Virgil spoke.
"What's up?" Virgil asks curiously.
"Well, it's about Tosca." Kiba said. "She came into my room a few weeks ago."
"What about it?" Virgil questions.
"Apparently for one, she's not use to sleep in a big bed since she grew up in the Church and with your parents." Kiba explains as he then blush. "Well...we, um...We've done the deed."
That got Virgil shocked with surprised expression on his face, then shook his head with a smile.
"So that's what this about? Geeze, Issei is gonna give so much crap like he did with me." Virgil said. "Look, I don't see what's the big deal. Whatever you and Tosca do in your time is your business."
"That's true." Kiba said.
"I was surprised that you went up the whole nine yards with her." Virgil told him. "Did Rias and the others know about this?"
"I've already told them, except Issei, they were surprised about it. But still, we're trying to figure it out that if we did that out of love or so we won't have any regrets." Kiba said.
"That's something for you to figure it out." Virgil points out. "You love Tosca, do you?"
Kiba was caught off-guard when Virgil asked him a question, he gave him a nod as he spoke.
"When I have the time with Tosca, I'll ask her out and tell her." Kiba said with a smile.
Virgil then gave him a nod as they return to them at the table.
"Ah, please escort them in, Baraqiel." Azazel ordered with a smirk, getting Akeno's attention. Looking at the stage, she saw her father walking up the steps with the two behind him.
Baraqiel has the appearance of a middle-aged gruff man with black hair, matching beard, and muscular body. He wore a black body-suit with leather black belt, black pauldron with gold accent on his left shoulder, draped in a black cloak, black vambraces with gold accents, and black full-greaves with gold accents.
Odin is an elderly man with long grey hair and a matching beard. He wears a gold and white monocle over his left eye without the addition of the chain. He wore a white robe which is short and blue with a gold lining on the top and bottom of the collar, the sleeves of the robe and at the front of his robes all the way down to the bottom of the robe. The rest of the robe is white with matching shoes. He also wore a golden and black hat which is sectioned off into five mini sections that sport either the color black or gold, top, middle, and bottom is gold and the sections in black are below and above the middle one. The black section features blue orbs at the ordinal points: north, east, west, south, and between the blue orbs are red dots.
Behind the two is a beautiful young woman with long silver straight hair and aqua eyes who appeared to be in her late teens and had a voluptuous figure. She wore a grey business suit with a purple tie, grey pants, and black shoes.
"You know for a crotchety old bastard from the northern waste, you're not looking to bad." Azazel stated, causing Odin to smirk.
"I like what you're husbands done with your hair." Odin compliments.
"Charming." Sirzechs said seriously. "It's been too long, Lord Odin. How we've missed your casually homophobic banter."
"Greetings, Sirzechs." Odin greets him. "And let me thank you personally for your invitation."
"Ah, but there's someone whom I like you to meet." Azazel said as he then turn to Virgil. "Virgil, come on over here and meet Odin."
Virgil was a little confused, but he walk towards the stage as he then walk towards Odin. Azazel then clamped his shoulder with his hand.
"Odin, meet Virgil Farron, one of the greatest allies to the alliance of the Three Factions and a warrior of l'Cie from Gran Pulse." Azazel introduced him. "Virgil, meet Odin, he's the leader of the Norse Faction. And that girl next to him is Rossweisse, I think?"
"That's right." Rossweisse nodded.
Odin stepped towards Virgil, stroking his beard while gazing at him analytically.
"So, you're the one who the leaders won't shut up about, eh? I have to admit, I didn't fully believe them when they told me that you're just a teenager." Odin stated.
"Um, thanks?" Virgil responds with confusion, making Odin laughed.
"There's no need to be so lost or stiff boy! Just be yourself, I'm not really one for boring procedures and uptight behavior." Odin said. "Still I have to say, it's very impressive that you were able to not only defeat Kokabiel, but the White Dragon Emperor as well, and you're a l'Cie to boot."
"What!? Is it true?" Rossweisse gasped with shock, making Virgil scratch the back of head nervously while blush.
"Yeah, but I only did it because they were threatening my home and friends." Virgil explains. "It was pretty tough though, especially Vali once he went Juggernaut Drive. I was lucky that Issei had him tired out and I got help from my mother."
"Oh, and who's your mother?" Odin questions.
"That will be me." The voice of Lightning answered as she walk towards him along with Snow, Sazh, Fang, Vanille, Noel, and Hope. "My name is Lightning Farron and I'm his adopted mother."
"My, my, so the six heroes from Gran Pulse have arrived." Odin said with shock. "Never thought I get to meet them up close."
"You heard about us?" Hope questions.
"I have, I've heard of your achievements and you six have my respect since you fight to save Serah and the world." Odin said as he then turned to Lightning. "Also, you have raised him well to become quite a fighter."
"Thank you, but I couldn't have done it without a help from Snow, Serah, and Hope." Lightning thanked him.
"My, so modest." Odin observed as his expression turned into a mischievous smirk. "Say Rossweisse, this young lad Virgil is seem like a boyfriend material, eh?"
Virgil felt a headache coming in which his respect for Odin was dropped. Lightning knew that this might happen since the girls in her adopted sons life had a crush on him just by their interaction and his actions.
"L-Lord Odin, what are you saying!?" Rosswessie spluttered, blushed with embarrassment. "It's not appropriate to say such things to someone we've just met! You should apologize!"
"Geeze, it's only because you're like this that you're still single." Odin sighed.
Virgil and the others were expecting a few things to happen as a possible outcome. However, what they didn't expect was for her to suddenly drop to the ground and bawling her eyes out.
"I'm sorry!" Rossweisse wailed out, making a scene. "I'm just a useless Valkyrie whose age is the same as the number of years I've spent without a boyfriend!"
Virgil then sighed with annoyance as he then give him a death glare to Odin, earned his attention.
"Odin, that's not very nice to bully her like that. You should be a little respectful to her." Virgil told him with his dark tone, showing his dark aura which made not only Odin scared, but Azazel and the Great Devil Kings shivered their spines with fear.
Issei and the others were really scared him since Odin have got into his bad-side.
"Shit, I haven't seen that in a while." Issei said with fear.
"Yeah, I forgot he can do that." Asia added.
"Guess they forget to warn Odin about his death glare." Kiba said with a nervous chuckle.
Virgil then walk towards her, kneeling to her level as he then placed his hand on her shoulder, leaving Rossweisse confused, still sniffing and hiccuping.
"It can't be that bad, right? I mean, I've never been in a relationship with anyone either, but it didn't bother me too much." Virgil told her, leaving her eyes widen with disbelief. "Before I've been into a relationship with Kuroka and before I came in between Earth and Underworld, the girls were madly fallen in love with me for being cute and the fact that I'm the son of Lightning and the nephew of Uncle Snow. Mom have given them a scare and she taught me of using that death glare and deadly auras. What I was trying to say is, don't let it get to you. You seem like nice enough and admittedly beautiful, I'm sure you'll find someone who appreciates you."
That got Rossweisse blushed as she continued to look at Virgil. Of course, Odin was about to ruin the moment, but Lightning gave him a death glare and deadly aura, making him shivered his spine with fear. Azazel muttered with awe 'smooth' to Sirzechs who smiled with an agreement. Snow, Noel, and Sazh couldn't help but chuckle a bit of him being a smooth-talker.
"Allow me to apologize for keeping you waiting." Michael greets as he, Gabriel, Cornelius, Griselda, and Irina walked into the room.
Xenovia, Tosca, and the others of Rias' peerage were watching from the table, leaving her gasp when she saw a certain friend with Michael along with her teachers. Virgil was shocked of seeing his biological parents and his Godmother was here with him.
"Odin, Allfather of the Norse, looking as hail and hardy as ever your Excellency." Michael said with a smile.
"Irina! Masters!" Xenovia called them as Irina looked at her friend and gave her a wave.
"Did they come as part of Michael and Gabriel's entourage?" Akeno asked.
"Who'd figure we ran into them in the Underworld." Asia said.
"Mom! Dad! Gabriel!" Virgil called them with a smile.
"Hello there, son." Cornelius said with a chuckle. "I see you've gotten stronger."
"I've been in training in Gran Pulse since I have to keep my fighting style well-balanced and get my magic stronger." Virgil told his father.
"Now what's this? I thought Lightning and Snow were your family." Odin said with confusion.
"They were, but both Lightning and Snow were my adopted family while Cornelius and Griselda were my biological family." Virgil explains.
"Oh, how did that happen?" Odin inquired.
"Well, it was complicated." Snow said.
Odin and Rossweisse then listened carefully as they told them about Virgil, they kept a calm demeanor throughout the entire explanation and when they were done, the two had a very serious look on their faces.
"I see, that would explain it." Odin said, sickened by the idea of the Church experimenting infants for creating Siegfried.
Sirzechs soon steps forward on stage to commence his speech and commemorate the celebration. Everyone's attention is gathered onto the Devil King himself.
"Devils, Gods, and Fallen Angels have seen the lessons of the past and chosen to live together in peace, but the Khaos Brigade chooses to plan and form a war when trying to destory and we have fought to succeed. This new alliance with the Norse Gods of Asgard is truly heartening." Sirzechs said with a smile as he then turned to Odin. "Lord Odin, if there are no objections, please sign the pact monument."
"Of course." Odin said as he approach the pact monument, placing his hand on the screen when...
"Objection!"
The new voice startled the crowd of guest and then looked around to see where it was coming from. Odin however frowned and look over his shoulder grumbling.
"I'm surprised he waited this long." Odin muttered. "You arrogant fool."
A magic circle appeared and out of it came was a handsome man with eyes like a delinquent, light blue hair that floats behind him with two small bangs, and has a blue jewel on his forehead and yellow earrings. He wore a white robe, blue belt with a blue jewel at the front, white pants, and white shoes.
"I am the Norse God Loki, greetings." Loki greets with an arrogant smirk.
"Alright, now we got a party!?" Azazel exclaims with a smirk on his face.
"Lord Loki, you maybe the Norse God of Mischief, but that gives you no right to cause problems here." Sirzechs told him, glaring at him. He was disappointed in how the Prince of Lies doesn't seem fully comprehend the situation they are all in and the purpose of the summit.
"Seeing Odin, our great Allfather mingling with lesser mythologies causes me to suffer indescribable torment, Sirzechs." Loki said.
Virgil then readied his Immortal Order sword while Lightning readied her gunblade. Rossweisse places her arm in front of Odin to protect the Allfather, but Odin motioned her to let him handle it.
"Leave, Loki." Odin demanded. "If you return to Valhalla immediately, I'll forgive you for this public affront."
The Devil Guards then rush out to stand against God of Mischief, but Loki was amused.
"Really? You can shove your forgiveness." Loki said.
"Oh great, another man without manners." Rossweisse said, ready to fight.
"If he chooses to sign an alliance with the other mythologies, it would make things incredibly difficult for me to set Ragnaork into motion." Loki stated.
"The lyrics are different, but the song sounds the same." Azazel grumbled. "Look kid, you're just a clown working for the Khaos Brigade."
"Working for? No. Working with? Yes. But I admit, this op was idea." Loki admits, raise his arm. "Now let me introduce you to my beloved son."
The magic circle then appeared, causing to sent the Devil Guards flying as the wolf appeared out of the magic circle. The giant wolf was a greyish blue and has two big yellow horns around its shoulder. The giant wolf then growled, ready to fight.
"Okay, I've seen worse things before, but not like this one." Sazh said.
"Well to me, they're here to crash the party." Snow said with a smirk, cracking his knuckles.
"Never seen a wolf that big, but this should be fun." Fang added with a smirk, readied her Bladed Lance.
"Be careful, this is Fenrir. He's Loki's son and has the fangs that can kill a God." Odin explains.
"Great, guess we need a bigger doggy bone to throw." Sazh joked.
"We need to take care of Fenrir before he turns a party into his personal chew toy." Hope added with a joke, readied his Airwing.
"Enough of your jokes!" Loki yelled with a scowl. "Fenrir, kill them!"
Fenrir then began to go on a rampage as they then use their paradigm to activate their roles: Vanille uses synergist, Fang uses saboteur, Hope uses ravager, Sazh uses ravager, Noel uses commando, Snow uses sentinel, Lightning uses ravager, and Virgil uses ravager.
Kiba, Tosca, Xenovia, and Irina then give them support when they readied their blades. Vanille casts Vigilance to enhance their alertness, casts Bravery to enhance their strength, and casts Protectra to increase their physical resistance while using her paradigm to switch synergist to ravager. Fang cast Painga to disable Fenrir's physical ability, Imperilga to reduce his elemental resistance, and casts Poisonga to damage Fenrir while using her paradigm to switch saboteur to commando as she then charges after the giant wolf. Kuroka and Koneko then unleashed their fireballs to fire at Fenrir while Sazh uses Flamestrike to fire flame bullets at the wolf and Hope uses Thunder to strike Fenrir. Fenrir was able to attack Snow, but got retaliated when he punched him due to his enhanced strength. Noel began to slash at him while Virgil and Lightning uses Flamestrike, Sparkstrike, and Froststrike combo to slash him. Kiba uses Sword Birth to unleash demon swords from the ground while Tosca, Xenovia, and Irina then give them a helping hand when they were using their slash combo at Fenrir. Rias then use her Power of Destruction to fire at Fenrir and Akeno then team up with Hope as they began to use lightning at the wolf.
'Whoa, these guys are strong, even Virgil. And here I thought he would be on vacation at Gran Pulse, but I guess not. But, they better not think that I'll let them have all the fun.' Issei mentally thought as he then unleashed his Boosted Gear, but it have lost it's shine. "Huh? Aw Come On!? What the hell is going on here!?"
[This is the result of your training with Tannin. You'll have to decide if you want to power up or do Balance Break.]
"So you're telling me I might be able to do a Balance Breaker right now?"
[Yes, but you won't be able to kick out the gems using your Balance Breaker without radical catalyst.]
"Radical Catfish?"
[The rest is up to you, boy.]
"Oh great. Hey, just telling me that doesn't make me know what I'm suppose to do all of a sudden!?"
"Issei, what's wrong?" Rias questions with worry.
"My Boosted Gear won't activate the Balance Breaker." Issei told her. "I need time to figure something out."
"Even if he had the Boosted Gear, he won't be able to activate his Balance Breaker." Kuroka said with a scowl as she then uses her Senjustu bullet to fire at Fenrir. Koneko then give her hand when she fire some fireballs at the giant wolf.
Virgil and the others heard of Issei's situation which they need to buy him some time when Kuroka then warn them to get back as she uses her Yojutsu to spread poison at Fenrir which he was inflicted from Fang's poison and he gets inflicted from another poison. Lightning, Sazh, Vanille, Hope, and Virgil then uses their magic to use Blizzard, Thunder, and Fire combo at Fenrir while Asia joins in when she uses her Blizzard at him. Kiba then uses his Sword Birth to fire the swords at the wolf while Tosca then fires some bullets at the wolf. Issei was just standing here watching them fight against Fenrir and willing to risk their lives to fight, but what he ever did in his past life was being a pervert. Even though, he got the power of the Red Dragon Emperor, he couldn't do anything. When he saw Virgil, he was selfless when he fights to protect, he was calm and didn't lose his composure, and sometimes reckless like Lightning. Koneko then stopped firing her fireballs when she turned her head to him as she spoke.
"Throughout the history, most Red Dragon Emperors get obsessed with their power and wind-up going completely insane." Koneko told him, earned his attention. "It seems that the trickster has followed their lead. Sure they have power, but they've lost control. And once that happens, it's too late. It's hard for me to say this, but you maybe the least douchebag the Red Dragon Emperor has ever existed. That's why, you're kind of a total wimp compared to the rest of them, but you're the type of dragon we can be mildly proud of."
That got Issei widened his eyes, realized what Ddraig have meant about the radical catalyst as he then turned to them.
"Alright guys, I think I know what might help me crank this up to the next level." Issei said seriously. "I can beat him with my Balance Breaker."
"Well whatever it is, we could use some help right now." Snow said seriously, earned a nod from him as he then turn to Rias.
"Rias, I need your help." Issei called her as she then approaches him.
"What do you need, Issei?" Rias asks seriously. "I'll do anything in my power to assist you."
"In that case, let me poke your titties." Issei said, leaving Rias shocked.
"Well if that's what its gonna take to get you going, then have at it." Rias said with annoyance.
Issei was surprised that he got her permission, leaving him shocked that she showed her breasts while blush with embarrassment.
"Do it quickly, please." Rias said. "This feels a little ridiculous."
"What the hell are you doing?!" Virgil and Lightning yelled at him in unison with annoyance.
"Virgil, Lightning, I need you to-"
"Just hurry up and get it done already, you moron!?" Virgil yelled, bonked his head. "If I die here, I will kill you for this!?"
"Okay, okay!?" Issei exclaimed with fear.
Which Virgil was right, he then look at Fenrir fighting against them which the giant wolf just won't die that easily. Issei then poked her breasts, leaving her moan.
Suddenly, a green light shines on Issei, enveloping him with red flames.
[You did it! You've finally boosted your power. Welsh Dragon: Balance Breaker]
"You're the worst. A Red Dragon Emperor perv-deluxe." Koneko said with deadpan expression.
"It's about time." Virgil added with a scowl.
Issei then was suddenly emerged into a Scale Mail armor of his Boosted Gear. He roared as he sprouts his dragon wings.
"Balance Break Boosted Gear: Scale Mail!" Issei yelled, positioned himself. "My power was unleashed by poking my masters headlights."
[Congratulations, partner. But I'm not looking forward to what you're going to use this handful when were done here.]
"Now that you got more power, how about give us a hand here?" Snow suggested with a scowl.
Issei then gave him a nod as he then takes flight, delivering Fenrir a punch in a face when he sent the wolf flying.
"Thundaga: Lightning Howl"

"Blizzaga: Ice Geyser"
They combined their magics when Lightning, Vanille, Akeno, and Virgil uses lightning at Fenrir. Sazh unleashed his flurry of bullets at Fenrir. Hope then used his light magic to fire at Fenrir. Asia, Noel, and Snow then fires the giant ice spike at Fenrir.
When the dust clears, Fenrir was still in one piece and there wasn't a single scratch on him.
"Damn, what the hell is that thing made of!?" Issei exclaimed with shock.
Loki was smirked with amusement, but he'll admit, he was impressed of their fighting skills. Until, he saw Fenrir was trapped in a green-pyramid shaped barrier, but he then saw himself was getting trapped inside of a magical barrier. He then turned to see Ajuka when his hand was glowing magic.
"You've left yourself open." Ajuka said with his firm tone.
"Beelzebub!?" Loki yelled.
With that, Ajuka then make the barriers disappear along with the two.
"Well played." Sirzechs said with impressed smile.
When everything was settle down, Issei then have his armor disappear when Virgil, Snow, and Lightning then beat him into a pulp, leaving him some massive bumps on his head and face and has bruises on him.
"DON'T EVER DO THAT AGAIN!?" Virgil, Snow, and Lightning yelled at him in unison.
"I'm sorry, real sorry. Please, don't ruin my face anymore." Issei said with sincere apology, learned his lesson which it was the hard way.
"I suppose we'll leave that aside for now." Sirzechs said with a chuckle. "I want to thank you for fending off against Fenrir and Loki."
"Nah, it was team effort." Snow shook his head. "Though, Issei have been a help. Even though, he have to pull that stunt with his pervertedness."
Issei winced of that reminder.
"Well, we were lucky that Ajuka helped us out." Hope clarified. "But, we won't be lucky if we'll ever face him again."
"Yes, which is why I am forming a meeting with the others. If you'd like to join us that is." Sirzechs suggested.
"That will be best." Lightning accepts. "That way, we'll know where Loki and Fenrir have gone and how long the barrier will hold."
Sirzechs then nodded with an agreement as they then began to part ways since they need to take bath since they don't want to around looking like that due to the fight against Fenrir.
Underworld, Meeting Room
When they finished their bath, Grayfia led them towards the meeting room. The opens when they saw the Four Devil Kings, two Archangels, three Fallen Angels, Odin, Rossweisse, and two Exorcists were in the meeting room. They then head towards them since the meeting was about to start.
"Looks like the storm has past for now." Azazel said.
"True, but for how long? I don't know." Lightning said, pondering.
"Ajuka was kind enough to teleport Loki and Fenrir to a rather far away destination, but it is a temporary solution." Sirzechs told them.
"Which that doesn't give us enough time for recovery." Hope stated. "And we'll to fight them again once the barrier was off."
"Yes and he will press the issue again." Michael agrees. "This was only the beginning."
"And this time, we have to be ready." Snow said. "He may have caught us by surprise, but we'll be ready this time."
"As leader of the Norse Pantheon, I take full responsibility." Odin said, stood up.
Apparently, time was against them and there wasn't enough time for a strategy as they plan to form a quick strategy to stop Loki for performing Ragnaork.
