Chapter 32: Currents, Part 1
~MAY 14TH, 2022, 1PM~
A TV ad was put on. Showing a brand new line of TVs that are high quality and the best around. Koi was watching it in his bedroom
"These TVs may look nice, but do they even work?" Koi said. "Last time I checked, one of those living room TVs Mom bought broke a day later… We pretty much stopped trusting these TVs…"
Koi then heard a knock on his front door. He walks downstairs to open the front door, revealing Yoshiro Kira.
"Yoshiro! Hey!" Koi said.
"Hello, Koi." Yoshiro said. "Are you available today?"
"What's going on?"
"I wanted to buy a few things to move to a new house. I am graduating this year and I wanted to move some of my old stuff to a new house."
"What? What about Haya's memories there?"
"Don't worry. My aunt is having her sister's side of the family move to that house and they'll be able to take good care of it."
"Oh… Any plans after graduating this year?"
"College is one thing and traveling to Poland is another…"
"I see… Um… Hold on."
A few minutes later, Koi walks out prepared.
"I talked to Mom and she said yes." Koi said. "I have extra money from my wallet for you."
"Thanks, Koi." Yoshiro said. "And we're off. Now let's go to a bus station to go travel to downtown Tokyo. They have a street with a lot of stores, big and small."
When they reached the bus stop, Koi got a text from Jordin.
"Jordin texted me." Koi said. "He said that he's slowly starting to feel better after what happened."
"How about Daichi?" Yoshiro asked.
"Not that good like Jordin. Miss Joestar texted me about Daichi."
"I see…"
They saw the bus and got on. They pay bus tokens and started the ride to the streets of shops in downtown Tokyo.
"Can I tell you something interesting?" Koi asked.
"Sure." Yoshiro replied.
"You know about Hatsuki's Stand, Grenade Jumpers?"
"Yes."
"Well, she named them Grenade Jumpers for a reason."
"Really? Carry on, I'm curious."
"She used to have a pet hamster named Chris. First adopted when she was only 6."
"Chris? That's a name I never heard of…"
"Well Chris was her only friend because she never was a huge talker to other people until high school."
"And where is Chris?"
"Chris… Is dead."
"Wh-Really?!"
"Yeah… He died in his sleep, which is surprisingly rare for some reason… It happened a day after Hatsuki turned 12."
"6 years as a hamster for Chris really were his best… I feel sorry for you and Hatsuki's loss…"
"It's fine… Oh, and Chris was first adopted at the age of 1 hamster year, so yeah…"
"I see…"
Halfway through, Yoshiro sees a billboard, which was an ad for the same TVs Koi watched as a commercial earlier.
"Hey Koi. Have you seen those ads for one of the new lines of TVs?" Yoshiro asked.
"I did. Let's not buy any of those because they might be scamming our money." Koi replied.
"Really?"
"Really! They are known for being glitchy and broken right after they are taken out of the box!"
"I see… I'll see what other lines of TVs I can find and be interested in…"
When they reached downtown Tokyo, Koi and Yoshiro got off.
"Here we are!" Yoshiro said. "Now, let's see what's there."
"I'm right by your side if you need me to get something nice." Koi said.
