Lincoln and Abby rolled through the darkness until they arrived in a huge open section. Abby looked ahead and saw that they were about to go down a steep and twisty trestle track! "Hang on!" She shouted. Lincoln and Abby screamed as they plummeted down the steep track. The mine cart rattled over ravines and chasms as Lincoln and Abby held on during the bumpy ride.
"How are we gonna get out of here??!" Yelped Lincoln, trying to make himself heard over the noise of the cart. "There should be an exit further down the line!" Replied Abby. "I hope so! Or we're gonna be stopping a lot faster than we think!" Cried Lincoln worriedly as they roared down the track.
Near the trestle line on a cliff side path, the Loud sisters and Dot came running in on another route to find Abby and Lincoln screaming as they rode down the line.
"They made it!" Cried Lori. "Not quite." Added Lana, pointing at the top of the slope. Another mine cart was coming down and Diane was inside of it! "We gotta do something! She's gonna kill Linky!!" Shouted Lola. "But what can we do??" Cried Leni. Luna looked around the enormous mine and saw something. "Over there!" She called. The girls looked where Luna was pointing. Further down, the track met the ground again and just before the next trestle section, was a junction. One line lead straight ahead and the other sloped down into an underground river due to a broken track, and the girls' path lead right to it! "C'mon!! Hurry!!" Cried Luna. And they took off running.
Diane saw the girls running down the path, but she didn't give much notice to them as she was focusing on catching Lincoln and Abby.
The girls finally reached the junction just as Abby and Lincoln were about to pass. "We'll meet you outside! Dot knows a way out!" Shouted Lori.
"We gotta switch the tracks!" Cried Lynn. Luan ran to the lever and pulled, but the lever didn't move! "It's stuck!!" Cried Luan. "She's coming!" Yelled Luna. Luan pulled the lever again as hard as she could, and finally, with Luna helping her, the lever moved and changed the points!
Diane rounded and saw what they had done. Diane gasped and seized the brake, but it was too late to stop! Diane screamed as she slid off the tracks and into the river. The girls watched her float away in her cart. "THIS ISN'T OVER!!" She yelled to them. Lori hugged Luan and Luna. "Great job you guys." The two roommates smiled at each other.
Just then, Lisa shouted. "Siblings assemble! I see light at the end of the tunnel!" Leni was pleased. "Let's go find Lincoln and Abby!" And with Dot and Lisa leading the way, the ran for the exit.
The girls found the light was coming through some wooden boards that were blocking the exit. But with a mighty kick, Lynn kicked through boards and into the daylight. "This hurts my eyes." Groaned Lucy as the stepped outside.
"Hopefully Lincoln and Abby made it out too." Said Luan. "I'm sure they're around here somewhere. We can use Lisa's tracker to find them again." Replied Leni.
"And why would you want to do that?" Asked a voice. Standing close behind them, was Allen and Boris. They had used another track to get out. "We don't have the gem morons, you're wasting your time!" Snapped Lola. "I don't care about that. I'm here to make sure you all won't let anyone know about the events that have occurred here today. By any means necessary. Shall we begin Allen?" "Oh, yes." Allen picked up a shovel and flung it towards Luna! Luna ducked and it just barely missed her.
Luna was furious. "Oh, you just EARNED this butt whooping!!" And before Boris and Allen could do anything, all the Louds jumped on the two goons at once!
A huge dust cloud formed as punches, kicks, and insults filled the air.
Dot watched in amazement as the Louds pummeled Allen and Boris. After a few minutes, the cloud dispersed, revealing two very beaten and bruised men. "That...was a bad... idea." Moaned Allen. Boris didn't have any strength left to say anything.
Before the Louds could get their breath back, they heard a rattling noise coming from close by. Suddenly, they heard the sound of splintering wood and a sudden crash!
The girls ran around the corner find Lincoln and Abby on the ground. Their mine cart had crashed through another boarded up exit and had crashed into a set of buffers. "Lincoln! Abby! Are you guys ok??" They asked. "We're ok. What about you guys?" Asked Lincoln as Dot licked his face. The girls told them about their scuffle with Allen and Boris. "What should we do with them?" Asked Leni. Then, Lily started babbling and reaching towards an old crate. Lincoln saw a coil of rope sitting in it. "Atta girl Lily. We tie em up and leave them for the cops." Replied Lincoln.
Soon, the two goons were tied up. And the Louds, finally reunited at last, left the mines.
