Locked in a cage buried beneath the depths of Hell would erode anyone's grasp on morality. Lucifer, however, hadn't possessed any prior to his sentencing. Which is why he became obsessed with finding Crowley's whore after she'd embarrassingly given him the slip twice.

Standing outside the girl's safehouse, he stared confused over the utter lack of protective wards against demons or angels. More perplexing, however, was the miniature shapeshifter riding a demonic hellhound around the front yard.

"What kind of demon tolerates a shifter?" Lucifer muttered under his breath while glaring at the child giggling.

"Teddy isn't a shifter," A melodic voice answered behind Lucifer's back. The angel pivoted, finding a petite blonde gazing up at him. Her wide blue eyes were free of fear, which oddly didn't enrage him.

"Good afternoon Lucifer Morningstar," she said, extending her hand for him to shake. He stared at her as he accepted it, unsure of why he was compelled to be polite to the woman.

"It's nice to see you again too, Castiel. I now understand Hermione's 'Casifer' comment."

"You can see...that's impossible! You're not a demon or an angel," Lucifer hissed, his rage flaring due to being confused.

"No I'm not," the ethereal blonde agreed, tucking a portion of her hair behind her ear. "It doesn't stop me from seeing either of you though. Is sharing uncomfortable because of the family tensions between the two of you or due to the physical constraints of Mr. Novak's body?"

Her question left both angels gaping.

"Are you coming in for tea?"

Neither angel could say which one of them chose to willingly follow the fae woman into her house. Nor would either admit both were equally enamoured with her.
