Chapter 32: The Pre Game And Fresh Starts

"Like we said, our 15 and 13 year minds are in these bodies here." Fred said and the girls and Oliver nodded to him. "Who's our practice game against?" I asked and Oliver looked out the curtain and smiled in relief. "It's Hufflepuff." he said and I nodded. "Well looks like I'm playing against Cedric for the first time, before we do this." I said smiling and the twins nodded in agreement as we got ready and I pulled my gloves on and the twins and I exchanged smiles.

"God at least Terrence Higgs is not getting brutal in trying this, as I got him, long before you deal with him." Charlie said to me and I nodded as we got on our brooms and flew out as I heard Lee Jordan. "Hello everyone, I would like to welcome you to the first pre-game bringing our missing friend home, this game is to welcome all of our future muggleborn first years to our world now!" he called out to everyone in the stands then gently at that.

And I heard a cheering from every young Muggleborn and their parents. "Why do I get the feeling Sirius or Professor McGonagall is going to get you a world class broom next?" Angelina asked me and I smiled. "Because they want to give me the best, my first was a Nimbus 2000, before Sirius got me a Firebolt next." I said and she nodded smiling. "I've been on the team for going on 3 years now, and things stopped in Winter of 2002." I added and she nodded to me.

"So this coming semester, next year, and then 2002, and this time we got a country wide manhunt going on and because of this your Nimbus runs right into the tree." she said and I nodded. "Yeah and Sirius replaced it, but if we got Pettigrew on the loose and we got a repeater, fortunately I can do the patronus charm and no problem by then." I said and she nodded in relief. "Hey be careful little brother." Katie said to me and I nodded smiling as we started.

As I smiled, as I did a handstand on my broom and then, as George dove under me I jumped over him as he flew under me, as I threw the quaffle to Alicia at that and she threw it at our side and Oliver caught it and tossed it back to her with a smile and our class cheered in delight. "Whoever tries another possessed bludger is going to get it, after it broke your arm once already." Fred called out to me and I nodded in agreement as Lee explained the rules then.

"For the members that don't know, the scoring point is the clincher, but the game can only end once the seeker catches the golden snitch. The snitch itself, is worth 150 points, the seeker who catches the snitch ends the game, well I see our young hero is ready to begin his first game. As the game now is to show what the house quidditch cup is really all about, now why try to do unity in the school." he said and I nodded to that.

"The seekers toss the quaffle, and each score is worth ten points a piece, the keepers are blocking the rings, and the beaters are. If you're not magic born, but muggle, they are enforcers, and they bat the bludger around to unseat a player. Don't worry we never had more then a broken arm." he said and I shook my head as Ron covered his eyes at that and Mione nodded in agreement to that response then gently at that.

"I'd consider us as sport fanatics, but that type of sport is on the ground floor, and not up in the sky, close to 10 stories up as the fall alone could kill you from this height." Oliver said in annoyance. "Before you get too obsessed with getting the cup, before you graduate, it's his life matters more then the quidditch house cup, Oliver." George told him and he nodded. "Yeah I agree with him here, it was close a couple times, but it's one problem or another here right now."

"But his health matters more then house quidditch cup, we can't have him getting repeated injuries before one lays him out for real finally." Angelina said to him and Alicia and I exchanged looks. "You want to say it or should I, I saw the worried look on the Grangers faces and Dursleys with them?" Alicia said to me and I nodded. "Bad idea Lee, you're going to scare my aunt out of her wits and Uncle Dan with her, this was their first." I said as that got echoed by Vernon.

"Young man, we're not magical, that injuries like this are common in ice hockey, but that's on the ground, this is 150 feet off the ground floor, so watch it." he said to him from the faculty's box at that and he nodded as Minerva nodded sternly in agreement. "Yeah I agree with him young man, my son is going on 11, and this is considered to be his first game here." Petunia said to that. "Son?" Oliver asked and I nodded as I answered him gently at that question then.

"She's adopting me as another son right now, but fixing the last 10 years we only got 7 years left together, before I return to our world permanently. She wants to enjoy what's left of those 8 years, by us acting like who she and mum were, before mom left for school." I said and he nodded to me and I quickly flew up to her at that remark then gently at that. "Easy on the showboating, honey." she said to me and I nodded to her smiling as I answered her.

"It's alright, Aunt Petunia, I understand, but this year was a starter, I'm going to be training, but I got to focus on my studies, so studies first over athletics, so we got a back up Seeker later." I said to her and she nodded to me in relief at that news. "Be careful baby." she said and I nodded smiling to her. "This was just to prepare for the in school competition, but the games are from November to May." I said and she nodded to me at the news gently at that.

As I waved to my side and I saw my adopted aunt and uncle and cousin watching then as Mione, Ron and their parents were watching with smiles on their faces. As I saw Sirius, Remus watching proudly as Mione waved back to me. "Go for it Harry!" Ron, Neville and Ginny called out to me and I nodded as I flew to just above the sextet as I saw Madam Hooch come out and looked up at us, as she said it to the Slytherins sternly at that response then firmly.

"Now I want a nice clean game, from all of you now, I see another injury and of that level, and the game is forfeited to Gryffindor!" she said and they nodded shaking at that. "Us Gryffindor, Hufflepuff and Ravenclaws never get that brutal with each other, mam." I said and she nodded to me gently at that. "Yes, and try to not get cocky here honey." she said and I nodded to the orders as I looked and Cedric and he smiled at me and I nodded to him with a grin then.

As she kicked the box open and both the bludgers and the snitch went flying then as it went flying around my head before buzzing around his and then taking off then. "The Quaffle is released." Lee called out and she threw the ball up in the air. "And the game begins." he said and they swarmed it, before Katie grabbed and she and Angelina were a doing a toss back and forth as they dodged one of his players and she threw it and Karen Hancock missed it.

And by an inch or so then. "Katie Bell scores, ten points to Gryffindor." he said and I smiled as the number got put up there and as I heard something go flying passed me and I quickly five bombed and as it dodged me and I nodded. "Cedric, watch it in case we got another rogue running loose." I called out and he nodded, though just I finished saying that, one of the two came flying passed and I did another feint then. "Oh no, not again!" I heard from Minerva at that.

"Watch yourself Harry!" Oliver shouted out to me. "Oliver bludger at 6 o'clock!" I called back and he quickly dodged at that. "Harry, girls scatter!" Charlie shouted and we went in four different directions as the said bludger exploded and I sighed in relief. "Dobby did it again, Harry!" Mione shouted out and I nodded. "Nice aiming baby, that was great here." Vernon said to her and I chuckled at that. "Who gave her that wand?" Katie asked and I chuckled at that.

"Looks like it was Bill, he leant her his for this and they blasted it as the darn thing was going too fast to maneuver and Charlie, pull!" I shouted out and he nodded as he went flying in one direction I took the other and in ten seconds we had three goals scored in 10 minutes. "Show off, you better stop messing around guys, come on practice game!" Oliver said laughing at that. "Don't do the sloth hanghold." Fred called out to me and I nodded to the order.

"Yeah the last person that tried that, lost his grip on the broom, but luckily he was only 10 feet off the pitch here." I said in response and I saw our parents exchanged bemused smiles at that. "You trying to give me heart attack?" I saw Molly saying, knowing that's what she was thinking. 'Yeah no joke, my mother-in-law is beyond concerned, I'm only going on 11 here now again, I'm a 13 year old in my near 11 year old body.' I thought to that remark then gently.

"What is this: a practice game or magical figure skating!" I heard from Dean Thomas and I started laughing. "You could say that Dean, but you're in training here, but the first lessons are the big ones, before someone over does it, flying lessons. And he's even better then his father here, that's he's going to make captain by year 7 on the team." Remus said to that and he nodded smiling at that. "Come on, come on..., now!" I called out and we both saw it fly passed us.

As we both went charging after it, before the feint got pointed straight down, as we exchanged looks then and I knew Higgs was going to be scared if I did this a second time as I pulled up at the last second and grabbed it and that did it then "Harry Potter catches the snitch, game goes to Gryffindor, 180 to 170, Gryffindor wins by a 10 point lead!" Lee shouted out and I heard all three houses cheer at that and I smiled at that as I pulled it over then.

"Nice practice run, but just wait till we do our first game for real, little brother." Cedric said smiling and I patted his shoulder smiling then. "But during summer we can train together here now." he said and I nodded in agreement. "When in school we're in separate houses, when outside, we're in training together." I said in response and he nodded to me in agreement as we went to join our families as we watched it get started then gently as we watched it then.

"What Fred said was right, I never normally missed it before, but there had to be one time I missed the catch, and said was because of the dementors." I said and Remus nodded. "They're lucky they didn't kill you when they came on the pitch that day." Minerva said sternly and I nodded. "Hey Harry, 5 galleons on Charlie getting it?" Ron asked and I smiled. "I bet we get it passed 300, but Slytherin catches the Snitch." I said in response and he smiled then.

"You're on." he said and Arthur and Remus chuckled at that remark then as we watched the game. "Well your prediction is close to it." Minerva said and I nodded. "Five, 4, 3, 2, 1..., there it is." I said and she nodded. "He's going to crash here." Petunia said and I shook my head. "They're not." Sirius said and I said it. "Higgs is." I said and I was right as he hit the ground hard, before I saw a gold glint and nodded. "He got it alright." Mione said smiling at that.

"I'm not going subscribing to fate, but this is what Malcolm meant when he said chaos theory." I said to her and she started laughing at that. "These games get so unpredictable, you're asking for one of these kids to go flying into the stands at one point or another." Amos said laughing at that and I nodded. "Yeah case in point is what Charlie and Higgs did is what Victor Krum and Finch did, and he got stampeded by Veela." I said and he started laughing at that.

"Finch and Krum, Bulgaria and Ireland?" Seamus asked and I nodded. "So what we got is middle school to high school in training, I was in high school when I got put in the tournament at the time here at the time. But I was looking forward to watching the tournament, I never wanted to be in it, but this time around, I'm an undercover auror arresting our escaped death eater after the cup later." I said and he nodded to me gently at that remark as Amos rubbed my back.

"Issues, my brother is the real champion, I'm working for you and Mr. Crouch in catching our escaped, though Barty is said, and we're asking for trouble." I said and they all nodded. "Who in their right minds tries this, when the grounds are crawling with ministry members?" Vernon asked me and I sighed. "Someone who lost what's left of their mind after being exposed to the dark arts too long." Arthur said for me and I nodded to that remark then gently at that.

"Well this is a great way to mix normal and magical ways of life, but this is great Harry." Dudley said to me and I smiled. "No different then you, we just got magic in our blood." I said and he nodded as he, Petunia and Vernon smiled in relief they got to live my life in school finally. "If they do this with a war between werewolves and Vampires and the love interest to them is the werewolves are no different then us, they're wolves, but fully human."

"Well this is the same, no different then you, we've got magic in our blood, but we're like you, got our own lives, we learn to be normal." I said and Petunia and Vernon both nodded. "Remember Starwars?" I asked and they nodded. "Same thing, the Jedi, or Mutants like Xavier's school for gifted, they're like us, we're no different then you, we got gifts or power, but we're no different." Mione said and Petunia nodded gently at that as Ron wrapped his arm.

And around her back and she leaned into his side smiling. "There maybe a war, but life goes on, we flirt and fall in love, we learn the things preparing us for graduation from high school to get into college now." I said and they nodded. "Yeah life goes on, yeah you're right, life goes on, for now, we got four peaceful years and then the war starts, we get to be normal kids, but lets enjoy these four years while we got the the chance too." Dudley said and I nodded to that.

"Hey Ron, you got a place to buy those chess sets?" he asked and he nodded and I started laughing. "Alright before you go there, I want the little guys cleaning up the mess, and with them the cards boys, before you teach my son how to play chess this way." Vernon said as he started laughing at this. "That and we got to keep the magic under control in the house." I said and he nodded to that. "Barty, any magic there, it's me." Sirius said and he nodded to him

"Dobby didn't we already discuss this, you're not to bother my best friend in a training game, are you trying to kill us?" Draco said to him and he looked down. "All don't try it Dobby, I get it, but if that was to prepare me for when you do it for real, be careful, my 13 year old mind is in this body, I get hit hard. And my 13 to 15 memories get replaced by my new appearance in age." I said and Dobby nodded to me. "Yes Master Harry." he said and I nodded in relief at that.
