Chapter 32 -
Harry was quite relaxed as he and his fellow Slytherins took the train back to Hogwarts, Harry had an arm wrapped around Isabella who was happily resting against him with her head on his chest and her arms wrapped around his body, she was gladly enjoying the way that Harry was lazily playing around with her hair.
"Umm...my lord, do forgive me but I am rather curious about what you plan to do this year." Theodore Nott spoke up. "I mean...the old fool will be watching us all now."
"Of course he will," Harry snorted. "but it won't make much of a difference. As far as everyone else is concerned we are model students, we simply just have to not give the old man any evidence to support his claims. After all, we're just a bunch of 'innocent children', we couldn't possibly be dark wizards and witches." Harry said with a smirk.
"Do you have any plans for the year?" Daphne asked. "No wait, scratch that, you most definitely have plans, you always do. I suppose what I am trying to ask is what exactly are your plans?"
"I've divided my year between annoying Dumbledore," Harry began." competing in the Tri-Wizard tournament..."
"Wait what?" Tracey blurted out. "The Triwizard tournament is coming to Hogwarts?" She said with disbelief, the tournament was a popular tournament that had been around hundreds of years ago until it had been cancelled due to death rates.
"Yeah, I plan to enter and win." Harry grinned. "and the remainder of my year will be dedicated to pissing of Severus Snape. I plan to torment him greatly." Harry said, his grin getting wider.
"Oh, oh, can I help?!" Isabella asked hopefully.
"Of course you can," Harry directed his grin at her. "and then when I've finished having my fun with him, I might just let you and Bellatrix keep him." Isabella squealed with delight before passionately kissing Harry on the lips.
Harry wasn't completely surprised when he found himself in Dumbledore's office before the sorting feast had even begun, while he was amused by the fact that Dumbledore seemed willing to delay an entire feast just to talk to Harry, he was more disappointed at how boring Dumbledore was being.
"So, how was your summer sir?" Harry asked in a conversational manner.
"Mr Potter," Dumbledore spoke without a hint of humour in his voice or twinkle in his eyes. "what have you been doing this summer?" He asked.
"Sleeping with other people mostly," Harry admitted. "even went into the muggle world and had several threesomes with supermodels." Harry added with a grin.
"Mr Potter, I am being very serious." Dumbledore frowned.
"As am I, I enjoyed those threesomes." Harry said with a frown of his own, though that smile was quickly replaced with a smile. "ah, I guess you're wondering about what evil things I've been doing over the summer."
"Yes." Dumbledore answered, he was barely able to keep the frustration out of his voice.
No matter how much Dumbledore had tried he was unable to find out what Harry Potter had done over the summer. He had been able to find out that Harry Potter was living with the Malfoys but that was where his information came to an end. He tried heading to the Dursley's but it seemed like they had vanished off the face of the Earth. Living in the home where they should have been was an elderly muggle couple, the neighbours had never even heard of the Dursley's and Dumbledore knew from legilimency (mind reading) that they had been telling the truth when they said they didn't know who Vernon, Dudley and Petunia Dursley are. Dumbledore tried every method of tracking that he could think of, including muggle means, and he still was not able to find them.
"A little bit of this, a little bit of that." Harry shrugged. "Nothing you need to worry about." Harry said in a sweet voice.
"Mr Potter, you will tell me." Dumbledore ordered, letting a small amount of his magic out to intimidate Harry, though he might as well have waved at Harry given all of the difference it made.
"Or what?" Harry asked in an amused voice. "You can't punish me for refusing to tell you about my summer, I mean...you could but the school board would have your wrinkly old behind before you could pull your trousers down. Oh...or maybe you're going to try and physically harm me!" Harry said in a voice full of obviously fake fear. "Please Mr Dumbledore, don't bring me into your office at the start of the year and harm me when there are no witnesses around, just think what the public would say!" Harry said, laughing loudly as the last three words came out. "Though if you're willing to be violent then I am more than able to respond in kind." Harry said, making it sound like an offer.
"Where are the Dursley's?" Dumbledore asked, knowing that Harry was right on the first part and right about how physical or magical violence would appear to the public, though Dumbledore thought that that particular argument did not really matter since memory charms were wonderfully useful things.
"That depends." Harry answered.
"Depends on what?"
"Which Dursley you're talking about." Harry replied. "For example, Dudley...the youngest and most innocent was being corrupted by the others, so I made sure to...hmm...how to put this? Ah...wipe the slate, clean. He's currently living in a muggle family with a new name and no memories of his birth parents."
"What? But...why?" Dumbledore asked, wondering why Harry would do this.
"I'm a big believer in 'punishments fitting the crime'," Harry smirked. "Dudley was young and his parents had raised him horribly, I gave him a second chance at life. Is that not what you like, Dumbledore? Second chances? Opportunities for redemption? I gave one to Dudley, hopefully he now lives a great and happy life. And if he doesn't...well...he's not my responsibility anymore."
"And what of the others?" Dumbledore asked with a frown.
"Well," Harry chuckled. "Uncle Vernon ended up over eating, lead him to an early grave, that did."
"You killed him?!" Dumbledore gasped, easily able to read between the lines.
"Did I say that?" Harry asked, looking the very picture of innocence. "Uncle Vernon had eaten too much, talked too much and ate too much, he bit off a bit more than he could chew." Harry finished with a grin.
"And what of Petunia?" Dumbledore asked, looking quite pale.
"Aunt Petunia?" Harry chuckled. "Not much."
"Not much?" Dumbledore repeated.
"A spiteful bitch she might be, but she was my mother's sister and my mother did love her." Harry replied. "So I haven't done much to her."
"But what did you do?"
"Wrong." Harry smirked.
"What?!"
"That's the wrong question, Dumbledore." Harry grinned. "You're thinking about the past, that's your problem. You think about the past, now or the present. You need to consider all three. For example, it's not just what I've done, it's what I'm doing now and what is going to happen soon."
"What do you mean?!" Dumbledore said in an alarmed manner as he stood up, something in Harry's voice let him know that something big was happening or was at least going to happen.
"How is your family doing?" Harry asked before breaking into loud laughter.
"What?! W...what have you done?! What have you done?!" Dumbledore demanded, but Harry only laughed louder.
"Tick tock, Dumbledore, tick tock." Harry said, tapping on his wrist as if he was wearing a watch. "You don't have much time. Come on, it should be obvious who to look for, it's not like you have many people publically listed as being related to you. Tick tock, I reckon you've got about a minute before my followers finish up with their 'forcible invitation'. Unlike Voldemort I only accept the best, and they'll get the job done." Harry grinned. "Tick tock Dumbledore."
Dumbledore sent Harry a glare before he quickly rushed towards the fireplace and flooed over to the Hog's Head Inn and Pub, a dingy place in Hogsmead that is owned and operated by Aberforth Dumbledore, Dumbledore's younger brother.
Once he was gone Harry looked around Dumbledore's office with a gleam in his emerald eyes.
TEN MINUTES EARLIER:
"Excuse me, Professor." Harry said as he walked into the great hall where the new first years and everyone else was waiting for Dumbledore to arrive so they could start the sorting feast.
"Mr Potter," Professor McGonagall frowned. "where is Professor Dumbledore? He was supposed to meet you and then come here."
"I...I am not entirely sure," Harry said with a frown of his own. "he asked me some weird questions about my summer before deciding to go to the Hogs Head bar for some reason." Harry finished with a shrug. "I'm not sure if he is still there." Harry said before he went to the Slytherin table while the rest of the school began whispering to each other, wondering why the headmaster would go to a pub right before the feast.
Dumbledore arrived at the sorting feast, deep in thought. Aberforth had been perfectly fine, Dumbledore had done several diagnostic spells on him and confirmed that not only was that indeed his real brother, but that he had also been perfectly fine. Once Dumbledore got into the hall he saw Harry sitting at the Slytherin table, smiling at him.
"Professor Dumbledore, hurry up, we're already part way through the sorting." Professor McGonagall said, glaring at him, it was bad enough that they had to start the sorting without the headmaster but it was even worse when he comes late and doesn't even look like he's sorry or hurrying.
"My apologize, Minerva." Dumbledore said as he walked to his seat and sat down.
Dumbledore watched as Harry discreetly smiled at him all throughout the feast, Dumbledore could not help but wonder what he was missing? What was Harry planning? What had he done? What was he going to do? It was only at the end of the feast, as the students were leaving, that Dumbledore realised a certain student was missing. He paled as he suddenly realised which family member Harry had been talking about.
Later that night Harry entered his room and saw Bellatrix sitting on his bed, when she saw him she gave him a wave before patting the spot next to her. Harry walked over and sat next to her, the two watched as Isabella continued to 'interrogate' the other person in the room who was currently tied to a chair.
"COME ON!" Isabella screamed as she gave the person a hard slap that came from a wide swing of her arm. "COME ON!" She said as she swung the other arm and slapped the other side of the person's face. "COME ON!" She said, this ended up continuing for several minutes. "Why aren't you talking?!" Isabella all but cried as she was hunched over with exhaustion, her hands resting on her knees. "I've tried everything!"
"Have you tried removing the silencing charm that you've placed on her?" Harry asked in an amused voice. Isabella jumped in surprised and looked at him, having not noticed him come in.
"Don't scare me." Isabella huffed before blinking in surprise. "Oh yeah, I did forget the silencing charm."
"Rookie mistake," Bellatrix tutted. "we've all been there."
"I haven't." Harry said in a mock offended voice.
"Yeah but you're perfect," Bellatrix shrugged before turning back to Isabella. "best to learn from it." She advised.
"Perhaps I should take over." Harry said as he stood up and walked over to the person in the chair. "Now, you are going to help me torment your uncle, and that...is not a request, Miss Granger." Harry smirked as he looked down at the bruised face of Hermione Granger. Once Harry removed the silencing charm she let out a feeble moan. "Shush, there is no need to thank me." Harry grinned.
The next day Dumbledore arrived early at breakfast and kept his eyes on the entrance hall of the great hall, hoping to spot one specific student, Hermione Dumbledore AKA Hermione Granger. He had no idea what Harry had done but if he didn't see his niece then he was going to take action, he wanted to do so now but it was entirely possible that Harry had bluffed and that Hermione had simply missed the feast for one reason or the other.
After several minutes of not being able to see her he had grown more and more worried, he was considering leaving when all of a sudden Hermione walked into the hall. Dumbledore was about to smile but paused when he actually took a good look at her. Gone was the bushy hair in favour of slightly curly brown hair, gone were the buck teeth in favour of perfectly straight teeth. It looked as if she had changed into an entirely new person. Now she was not holding a book in her arms like she normally would, no, now she was holding onto somebody else's arm. That person being none other than Harry Potter.
"Mine now." Harry mouthed to him before gently kissing Hermione on the cheek, keeping eye contact with Dumbledore the whole time. Dumbledore looked at Hermione and grew horrified when he saw her eyes briefly flash green.
