Hey y'all! Welcome back to 50 Nobleshipping Drabbles! This story will soon be coming to end, as there are only 17 prompts after this chapter. Seems like a lot, but with how short these drabbles are it'll seem like the chapters go by quicker. Hopefully you guys are enjoying the story.
Disclaimer: Yu-Gi-Oh and all of it's characters belong to Takahashi Kazuki-sama. I only own the prompts and the one-shots.
Prompt #33: Animals. Rating: K
Critias took a sip of his drink as he walked down the hall, not really paying attention. He walked past the door to the gardens, then doubled back and looked out. "Zigfried, what is that?" he asked, his eyes wide at the sight before him. Zigfried was standing in the garden, a ball in his hand. Sitting beside him, tail wagging and panting happily, was a large Great Pyrenees dog. Zigfried smiled as he kneeled beside the canine and pet it. "Zhis is Lysander! He's out pet Great Pyrenees! Come over! He's very friendly!" he said, watching as Critias hesitantly walked over and gently pet the dog, who licked his hand.
After playing with Lysander for a bit, Critias heads inside and decides to go read in the library. He entered and began looking through the shelves, trying to find a book that catches his interest. After a few minutes he jumps back as a couple of books fall off of the top shelf. What the..…? He thought, looking up. His lapis-colored eyes met with sky blue-colored ones, slit pupils almost cutting the color in half. He raised an eyebrow as the owner of the eyes jumps onto a lower shelf, revealing a cute chocolate colorpoint Ragdoll cat.
"Oh, hello there… Sigrún" said Critias, gently scratching behind the feline's ears as he looked at the name on the cat's collar. Sigrún meowed at him and jumped down to the floor, rubbing against his legs before trotting off elsewhere. Critias chuckled and found a book to read, sitting in a nearby chair to do so. After a while he found himself becoming hungry, so he put the book down and got to his feet to head to the kitchen. When he got there he began looking around, trying to figure out what he wanted to eat. He eventually decided to have some grapes to snack on, sitting at the small island counter to eat them.
He ate a couple of them, blinking at the sound of wings fluttering and looking up to see a blue budgerigar land in front of him. "Oh, hello…." he said, blinking as he had never seen such a bird before. "Hello!" said the bird, startling the knight as he had never heard a bird talk before. "You talk?" he asked, looking at the bird in awe. "Talk! Talk!" said the budgerigar, doing a movement similar to a nod. Leon peeked in at that moment and grinned. "Hey, you met Blue!" he said, running over.
"Blue?" said Critias, watching as the bird walked across the counter and hopped onto Leon's shoulder. "Yeah, our pet parakeet! He's really cool! He can mimic speech!" said Leon, grinning. "Leon! Friend! Leon! Friend!" said Blue, whistling afterwards. "I can see that…" said Critias, smiling. "Say, Leon… how many pets do you and Zigfried have anyways?" he asked, curious. "Oh, well we have Lysander, Sigrún, Blue… we have a rabbit named Bonnie and two mice named Hanzel and Gretel too!" Leon answered, grinning. Critias blinked, then smiled. Having pets was a great thing, and if Leon and Zigfried had their say, they would most likely have more soon.
Done! I love pets. I have 4 kitties and have always thought Ragdoll cats were cute! The Great Pyrenees has always been one of my favorite dog breeds, and I've always wanted a pet bunny and bird.
Please R&R!
Until next time, Icy is out!
