*peeks from behind a door*

Yo. What's up? Did you miss this fanfic? I wonder how much of ya'll had zero faith and thought this story was going to discontinue? Nahh. I told you, I was going to continue. And thankfully, the manga didn't mess with my plot too much (so far) so we're all good!

During the hiatus, all the chapters of Aloof Hero went through a revamp (nothing too major). You all probably noticed by now, but I tend to make silly mistakes because I'm careless even though I proofread lmao. So, I just went to fix them and also add some things (nothing too big that would make you confused about the story though). So, if you're curious and want to read it again, go ahead!

By the time this chapter is posted, all of this story's chapters will be revamped as well. The content during the Training Camp will be extended because I felt like adding more when I bought the light novel. I always felt like it was lacking something, and the novel helped fix it. Again, you won't be confused about the story because of the revamp if you choose not to read it again. I'll talk more and specify any other changes (you might notice them right away) at the end of the chapter.

Anyway, ready? Let's start the chapter!

5:45 AM

A girl nestled comfortably in her blankets started shifting when the phone on her headboard began playing an alarm. Her onyx eyes slowly fluttered open when the sound kept tugging her away from the realm of sleep. With an inward groan, she nuzzled her face against the boomerang pillow she had been hugging in her sleep to try use its softness to lull her back into the realm of sleep. A futile attempt. She turned on her side to face the wall.

A white dog padded out of its bed and stretched, used to the early wake up call. Sleepily, he went over to the side of his owner's bed and peered at her unmoving shape. He tilted his head and wondered why his owner wasn't trying to be considerate about the noise. Gently, he lifted his front legs and planted them on the empty space and then shuffled closer to pat their back.

Mizuha pouted in her pillow. Her dog was being more responsible than her. Funny. She turned on her side and saw Sho staring at her. He nudged his nose against her arm, demanding some morning head pats to start the day. He even gave her some puppy dog eyes to boost his chances. It squeezed her heart. She effortlessly turned off her alarm by simply touching the screen approximately where the button was and then flew her head on top of Sho's head, giving him the attention he wanted.

He rested his face on the side of her bed, appreciating the head pats.

It made Mizuha smile with affection.

As usual, the girl was up early even though she slept late. Her arms moved up to yank the charger off her phone and check social media and some mail for about two minutes before closing her phone and looking at the larger brown box sitting on her desk blankly. Her dog was literally getting ready for his morning walk since he went to grab his leash that she always brought.

Mizuha sat up in her bed and heaved out a heavy sigh. It was time to get moving.

Sometime before her birthday, she sent a request to have her Hero Costume changed. She decided to change it so it would look less like some rip off of her uncle's. She wanted to wear something different. Aside from the boots and heat sensors she got, there wasn't anything else that she changed. At first, she thought she didn't need to since she was satisfied. However, she eventually realized that there was more that she could have done. Thankfully, it wasn't too late to change it.

She spent a few nights after classes just sketching out the outlines and making it perfect. With her drawing skills, she found no excuse to give the designers a reason to make a mistake or create something she didn't different than what she wanted.

PREVIOUS DAY

The fight between Endeavor and the Nomu was the first topic to be discussed in Class 1-A before homeroom. Kirishima and Kaminari were especially hyped up about it.

Mizuha was just on her phone minding her own business while the others talked. She was checking out the status of her Hero Costume.

U.A. Highschool had a website that students and teachers could log into. One of the things students could do once they logged in was send in a request for Hero Costumes instead of doing it in person. It came in handy for those who simply didn't have the time.

"Mizu-chan."

"What?" she replied, voice coloured in apathy. It was her best friend checking on her after walking past her desk. She didn't look at him as he sat one ass cheek on her desk. He quirked a brow and peered at her phone.

"What are you looking at?"

Mizuha blinked and looked up at him with a tired look. Byakuren sweat dropped at her face. Her face basically just screamed sleep deprivation. The girl shifted her phone in her hands to show him the screen. It was displaying the progress of her new Hero Costume.

"You're getting a new one?"

"Yeah."

Byakuren read the sentence that was in bold. It said 'Your Hero Costume has been delivered. Please pick it up before the end of the day'.

Mizuha gave Byakuren a little hopeful smile. "Can you come with me?"

She knew she was going to be a little awkward when she showed up there so she at least wanted some company to calm her nerves. Anxiety was such a joy to have.

The white haired boy shrugged. "Sure, I don't mind. Wanna go during lunch?"

"Yeah. The sooner the better."

Suddenly, the class hear the doors opened. A black haired man dressed in black was walking into the classroom. Immediately, everyone bolted to their seats and sat quietly. Aizawa had practically conditioned them all to act this way. But not long after he entered the classroom and started talking, they had to do an emergency drill. Hypothetical villains were showing up on their campus and they needed to deal with it. Easy stuff.

Big Three was helping out with the drill by acting as villains (Hado and Amajiki) or as a victim (Togata). Aside from Amajiki getting a face full of Bakugo's explosion, it all went well. Kirishima and Mizuha had to pass by the infirmary to check on their senior since they were worried about him.

When lunch came, Byakuren and Mizuha wandered off to the reception to get her new Hero Costume. It went pretty smoothly but Mizuha still felt nervous when she spoke to the person behind the desk.

"So? What kind of changes did you make to it? I'm assuming it was pretty big considering how you had a costume designer make it for you instead of Hatsume." Byakuren removed his hands out of his pockets and tapped the box in her hands with his finger.

"Well... it doesn't look like my current one." Mizuha spoke with a small spring in her step. Was she excited? Yeah. But she didn't try to get her hopes too high in case of potential disappointment. She told Byakuren to go ahead to the cafeteria since she was just going to sprint back to the classroom and switch the old costume with the new one inside her suit case.

"Wait! What do you want to eat?!" Byakuren hollered in the hallway as she ran off.

"Noodles!"

"Again?! Forget it, I'm getting you a beef bowl!" he shouted with no room for discussion.

What was the point of telling him what she wanted if he was just going to order something else for her. What did he have against noodles? But whatever, she didn't mind as long as she ate something she liked.

"I guess... I'll just keep this box under my bed." Mizuha muttered as she lifted the box containing her old Hero Costume and set it in the ground. Her dog sniffed it before she pushed it under her bed with a shove of her foot. Her old costume could literally be casual clothes for her to wear outside.

Dressed in black jeans and blue sweater on top of a long gray t-shirt, she picked up Sho's leash and beckoned him to follow her out her room after snatching her headphones off her desk. Most people around her floor would be asleep right now so she was grateful that he didn't choose to start barking. He quietly walked behind her to the elevator.

It was only 6:20 AM and breakfast wasn't going to be in at least forty-five minutes. She might as well just take him out on a walk while she had time.

It's so annoying to have to walk the dog... I'd rather be huddled in my blankets just waiting for breakfast...

Shinsui's voice echoed in her mind.

"You'll be fine. Stop worrying about it. Don't stress about it when you've hardly begun living with the little guy. Plus, it'll help you with your sense of responsibility, I guess."

"He was right..."

Remembering how Sho liked to stick around her during their walks, she chose to just tuck the leash into her sweater's pockets and walk with her dog by her side. Having a fluffy white cloud at her side just made the whole thing feel a little worth it. After walks, she'll just cuddle with the little guy in her room and wait for breakfast.

"You're growing bigger, huh, Sho?"

"Mroow?" he tilted his head as he walked.

Mizuha sighed in amusement. "Oh well."

Eri likes playing with Sho... Maybe I should let Togata-senpai bring him along sometimes?

...

...

The little stroll away from the dorm took about ten minutes. She didn't want to stay out even longer since it was chilly and dark thanks to the fall season. The only thing lighting up her surroundings were the street lamps posted around. Instead of letting Sho walk next to her, she picked him up and carried him in her arms. He was warm, and she could use a living heater right about now. Sho was lying his head on her shoulder while she held him against her chest.

She squinted when she saw a figure approaching her. They were jogging. It made her stop in her tracks when she got a little scared. One of the things she didn't like doing is walking around in the dark, especially at night since that's where all the weird and scary people come out to play. As if he sensed his owner's fear, Sho whipped his head back and stared directly at the person getting closer to them. He looked ready to bark and pounce on them.

To her surprise, it was Midoriya. He was wearing his school-issued gym attire as she jogged with his eyes staring at the ground. He looked lost in thought though...

Sho barked when he was a few feet away from them.

The green haired boy let out a startled yelp and ceased his jog with a clumsy stumble. As he panted, he blinked several times when he saw Mizuha standing in front of him.

"H-Hyoumei-san...!" he spoke, surprised by her appearance. He took in the sight before him and was quick to realize that she was merely out on a stroll with Sho. He offered a little smile. "You're out on a stroll with Sho-chan?"

The white dog, as if to reply, barked again with his tongue hanging out. Mizuha rested her cheek against his head. She blinked curiously "Yeah. I'm always up early. So, I figured I should just walk him before breakfast. I didn't think I'd see anyone else out here this early."

Teachers could be walking around since they have work to do. But most students my age would rather sleep in a little more.

Midoriya shifted his green eyes away and scrubbed the back of his head. "I couldn't sleep. So, I just... decided to run."

Mizuha silently nodded slowly, unsure how to respond to that. She wasn't exactly as close to Midoriya like she was with Kirishima and Todoroki so her interactions with Midoriya was just a little awkward for her. She couldn't help it.

"Well, I'm going back. So... uh, see you later." She stepped out of his way and continued walking back to the dorm.

"Yeah." she heard Midoriya reply behind her.

...

...

...

Midoriya stayed rooted in his spot as he watched the water user walk off with her dog who just stared at him curiously as he peered over Mizuha's shoulder. Seeing her just brought back the memories of the vivid dream he had. The girl called Hiyori that All For One called into the room was still fresh in his mind.

Midoriya turned around and started running again.

The woman known as Hiyori had blonde hair and kind sympathetic brown eyes when she came into view. Her face was practically the spitting image of Mizuha's face who had dark gray hair and onyx eyes. They were different, and yet, when Midoriya looked at her for the first few seconds, all he could see was that girl Hiyori.

Was it a coincidence?

Or did it mean something?

...

...

...

"What do you think we'll do after lunch?" Kirishima asked his table with an excited grin on his face. Before leaving for lunch, their homeroom teacher warned them not to be late for class once lunch was over because they were going to do a special type of class. He just told them that Class B would be participating in their special class.

"Duh, Hero stuff." Byakuren responded with a mouthful of rice. Mizuha gave him a look when she saw a piece of rice fall on his tray. "If he doesn't want us to be late, then he probably wants us to get ready fast for it? Y'know Hero Costume?"

The red head blinked and nodded. "True."

"Speaking of Costumes~" Byakuren smiled like a fox and looked at Mizuha who was quietly eating her beef bowl. After Byakuren ordered it last time for her, she ended up liking it enough to eat it again the next day. She just stared back at him while chewing her food.

"Mizu-chan got herself a new costume." Byakuren cheerfully said.

"Really?" Kirishima looked at her from the side.

"Yeah... I think it was necessary to get a new one..." Mizuha spoke softly while poking the beef in her bowl.

"It's not like a winter version?" Kirishima tilted his head curiously only for her to shake her head. She told him that it was a costume that would be suitable for any season, that way, it would save her the trouble of keeping two costumes organized.

"Does anyone here have one for winter?" Mizuha asked curiously.

"Bakugo does." Kirishima replied without missing a beat. Bakugo, who was sitting in front of him, just narrowed his eyes and chewed his food. The red head looked at Bakugo with a curious look. "Any reason why you look more covered up in the winter? You get cold easily?"

"As if I'd get a second set over a stupid reason like that." Bakugo spat. "Figure it out."

"Aw, come on man."

"What? You get shy over your exposed shoulders in the winter?" Mizuha innocently teased which made him burst as predicted.

"Who the hell you calling shy?! I'm not you!" he pointed his utensils at her which she responded by playfully poking her tongue out. "What'd I say about sticking your tongue out?" Bakugo gave her a look, causing Mizuha to just grin in amusement.

"There, there." Byakuren patted his shoulder.

"Don't touch me, Two-Face." Bakugo grumbled with a pointed glare, but didn't shove off his hand like he usual did. Maybe he gave up on wasting his energy?

Mizuha snickered at the two and continued eating her food. Having Bakugo sitting at the same lunch table was actually kind of fun despite his default attitude. It wasn't anything her table couldn't handle.

Mizuha arrived at Field Gamma in her new costume. It consisted of a blue high collar long sleeve jacket that was zipped up. On top of it was a gray and white vest that had no sleeves, it was a kind of similar to a combat vest, and it was also zipped up. She had dark gray gloves with metal plates on the back of her hands. She wore black pants, dark gray shin-high boots that each had a blue strip running down in front, a zipper on the sides, and teeth underneath blue soles. Her visor was resting on top of her head.

The vest and gloves she wore were built to regulate her temperature. After the raid on the Shie Hassaikai, she decided that something like that was necessary after realizing how cold her hands felt.

"Is that your winter costume?" Shoji decided to ask her after taking a good look at her.

"Hm?" She looked at him from where she was sitting, on a horizontal pole, and looked down at herself. "No." she shook her head to look back at him. "I decided to change everything so my costume could meet more of my needs."

One of Shoji's extra mouths popped out. "That's good. And now that I think about it, your costume looked a little similar to Kishokei-sensei."

Mizuha laughed nervously and rubbed the back of her head. That was true. She designed it with her uncle's costume in mind as well as a certain video game character. She didn't see any harm in making it look similar. Back then she didn't even think about having a costume that was supposed to help her fight efficiently.

"Yeah… well, I sometimes can't help but try to follow my uncle."

"I'm not surprised that you chose blue." Byakuren snorted and plucked her visor off her head to wear it on his face. He turned it on and looked at Todoroki, snorting when half of his body radiated more heat than the other.

"I'm not going to wear pink." Mizuha replied flatly.

"What's the vest for?" Todoroki asked curiously.

Self-consciously, she placed her hands oh the straps and averted her eyes away from his curious ones. "It's uh… a vest that regulates my temperature…" she admitted softly to the point where Todoroki almost couldn't hear her. He slightly tipped his head at her shy voice. "I didn't want to copy you, I swear." She held the straps tighter. "I just thought that it might be useful…"

Byakuren rolled his eyes and bonked her on the head, making her shoot him confused look as he placed her visor on her lap.

Todoroki just shook his head. "Don't pay mind about something like that. If your costume meets your needs, then it doesn't matter. Plus, we have ice in common so it can't be helped if some things are similar."

"Facts." Byakuren leaned his arm on her head which made her deadpan. "It's not like Todoroki invented temperature regulating gear. Right?" he looked at the dual-coloured hair boy who just nodded in reply.

Uraraka pointed at her left vest strap. "Oh, look. You got the two black dots!"

"Yeah… I don't know what they're for though… I didn't ask for it." She peered down and pushed her hair out of the way to see the two black dots in a row.

"That means your costume was made by the same company that made mine and Bakugo-kun's!" the brunette started pointing at her chest where two black dots were situated.

Now that she mentioned it…

Mizuha looked around for Bakugo, spotting him somewhere with Midoriya and Kirishima. He was wearing his winter costume which was the same as his initial one except that now he had a large jacket with a high collar like hers, and it covered his shoulders. The black dots were along the left line of his collar, the same side as hers. The fact that their dots were on the same side made her pleased because she somehow found it a little amusing and cool.

"Oi, oi… You all seem relaxed. Are you underestimating us?"

Mizuha grimaced when she heard Monoma's voice followed by footsteps, numerous footsteps to be exact. She turned her head and found all of Class B in their Hero Costumes walking towards them, most of them looked pleased to see Class A.

"Nope! We're not underestimating anyone!" Kirishima grinned excitedly. "Just excited!"

Monoma stepped in front of his class and grinned quite maniacally. "Heh, is that so? Too bad for you… the tides are rolling our way now." He lifted his head and looked at Class A. "Now, Class A! Let's settle this once and for all today!"

Mizuha heard her white haired friend click his tongue in annoyance which prompted her to tug on his long jacket while saying, "Down boy."

He was definitely still displeased by what Monoma did to her in the cafeteria.

The blond annoyance of Class B then whipped out a piece of paper from out of nowhere which supposedly represented the votes of people who either preferred Class A's concert or Class B's theatre performance. According to Monoma, Class B won by two votes. Mizuha wasn't sure if Monoma's survey was even authentic considering how he was the one who took it. If someone else from his class presented the survey, she would have believed it without a doubt.

"You guys have been conspicuous in a bad way since we started school, but that's starting to change!" he declared.

Mizuha just deadpanned at his enthusiasm to beat her class, completely uninterested in his one-sided rivalry. It was also getting on her nerves.

"Can somebody knock this lunatic out already?" Byakuren whined with his hands in his pockets. "Kendooo?" he called for the orange haired girl with an exasperated expression. She just nodded and smiled apologetically as she approached her classmate. All of a sudden, a familiar cloth flew around his neck and then tighten to cut off his discourse.

"Shut up."

Mizuha and Byakuren straightened up at their familiar black haired teacher who kept a tight hold on Monoma. "Aizawa-sensei!" they both cheered.

Yes, choke that boy! Mizuha cheered mentally while fighting back a sadistic grin. Behind their teacher was Vlad King who didn't interfere with his colleague's discipline on his student. "Today, there will a special participant." He informed them.

"So try not to make a fool of yourselves." Aizawa warned, looking pointedly at Monoma before yanking off the cloth from his neck which made him gasp for air. It was fun to see another student get a first hand discipline from Eraserhead.

Mizuha stood up and then noticed a student coming up from behind Vlad King. She lightly tipped her head to the side when she noticed the familiar messy indigo hair on her way to join her classmates who stood in front the teachers.

"He wants to transfer into the Hero Course."

Mizuha's mouth slightly fell open when she took a good look at the person.

"From the General Studies Class C, Shinsou Hitoshi."

Shinsou stood in front of them, dressed in his P.E clothes, with his usual tired face while tugging on the binding cloth around his neck which revealed a black mask-like equipment.

She stiffened.

He was taller than her so all she had to do to avoid his eyes was to stare at something below his neck. His neck…

Huh?

Around his neck, there was cloth. It wasn't just any cloth; it looked the same as the ones her teacher usual carried around his own neck.

… And this isn't the first time Shinsou is with Aizawa-sensei… I saw them together before the Training Camp. Are they—

"Hyoumei." a gruff voice pulled her away from her own thoughts.

Mizuha jolted and looked at her teacher.

"We're going to need this area, so could you move somewhere else?"

"Oh, uh, don't worry. I'm going to head back to the dorm." Mizuha laughed nervously while holding Sho close to her chest. She could feel him licking her arm. The girl swiveled around Shinsou and started walking away from the scene she felt was supposed to now remain a secret.

Her teacher confirmed that feeling for her.

"And I'd appreciate it if you kept what you saw to yourself. Understand, Hyoumei?"

"AH!"

Byakuren looked at Mizuha when she suddenly exclaimed with a look of realization. It was different from the exclamations of surprise coming from everyone else. He lifted a singular white eyebrow.

So Aizawa-sensei was training Shinsou all this time. No wonder I kept spotting them together sometimes! I wonder how Shinsou's improved ever since his match with Midoriya…

Now that she thought about it, Shinsou's Quirk, Brainwashing, was sort of the same kind as Aizawa-sensei's Erasure.

Kindred spirits? Haha.

"Huh? Are those Aizawa-sensei's binding cloths?"

"I've never seen the mask before."

"Looking forward to it!"

"You'll be brainwashed if you talk to him, right?"

"Impossible to avoid on a first encounter."

Aizawa glanced at the general studies student. "Shinsou, why don't you say a few words?"

The indigo haired student blinked and stared at the floor for a second to just breathe, and then he looked up at everyone. "I'm Shinsou Hitoshi. I've already fought against some of you during the Sports Festival, but saying we're friends just because we've fought before… I'm not into good sportsmanship like that. I'm already dozens of steps behind you all. Sorry, but I'm desperate for this. I want to become a proper Hero and use my Quirk to help others. All of you here are walls that I must overcome. I'm not planning on being friends. Thanks for having me." He did curt head nod as he finished.

As Mizuha clapped with everyone else, Byakuren snickered and clapped his hands on her shoulders which made her jump in surprise. "He said: 'I'm not planning on being friends'. That sounds like you way before the Sports Festival." he whispered in her ear.

...

...

...

"New environment, new people. A new opportunity to make new friends! Sounds great don't you think?" Byakuren teased with a grin, knowing full well what his friend's answer would be.

Mizuha's black eyes narrowed at him. He was talking that nonsense again. "Yeah, right." she heaved a sigh. "Connections like that will only get you in trouble one day perhaps even killed."

...

...

...

"Will you try and make friends?" He asked while keeping his eyes in front of him but he knew that she was staring at him the moment he asked her that question.

Mizuha narrowed her eyes at him. "No."

...

...

...

Mizuha just frowned and tried to lightly headbutt him. The white haired boy snickered and moved away from her in time to avoid it. He placed his hands on her shoulders and massaged her to render her docile. He succeeded in taming her.

"Then, shall we start?" Aizawa looked at Vlad King.

"It's time for combat training!" the red teacher announced loudly. "This will be a battle between Class A and Class B! It'll take place here, in a corner of Field Gamma! There will be two teams of four and two teams of five from each class, and each team will compete one at a time. Shinso will participate twice. Once in Class A team, and once in Class B team. In other words, two of the matches will either be 5-on-4 or 6-on-5."

"What?" a student exclaimed. "The team with less people will be at a disadvantage!"

Vlad King shook his head. "It's probably more of a disadvantage to bring the inexperienced Shinsou into the team. The team with most members will have advantage in numbers, but they'll also have a handicap. The situation for this training will be Heroes acting to surround a Villain group and capture them. Think of the other team as Villains! You'll wind once you capture four or five people! In each team's base camp, there is a super cute prison."

Mizuha cocked her head, Super cute?

"The instant someone's thrown in the cage, they count as captured."

"How are we supposed to take that seriously?!" Kaminari complained when the screen above them displayed a prison with pink colours and the principal's smiling face on it.

Mizuha furrowed her brows when she saw the said prison display on a screen. The school could spend so much money in making all these giant facilities, gyms and frigging USJ, but when it comes to a prison, they spent more money to make it look cute instead of just making a regular prison? Weird.

"It would be the most efficient to render them unable to fight near the camp." Shishida spoke. "But I don't think it'll be that easy…"

"'Once you capture four or five people'?" Bakugo crossed his arms with a scowl. "Is that the handicap?"

Class A's homeroom teacher nodded. "Having a member of the team unused to fighting, and having even the 4 or 5 person teams lose if there's only one left."

"So you're telling us to fight while carrying deadweight?! That's crap."

Byakuren whistled at Bakugo's bluntness. "Ever heard of tact?"

"I'm just saying it how it is." Bakugo grunted, annoyed by the handicap.

"Someone like Bakugo doesn't have tact." Mizuha said in a blasé manner and then slightly poked her tongue out when Bakugo shot her a look, her head turning slowly to look at him, knowing full well it was irritating him.

"It's fine." Shinsou shrugged. "He's not wrong."

Bakugo only huffed and looked away, still annoyed. Mizuha only sighed with Kirishima, they looked at each other with tired grins.

The teachers then pulled out some boxes for the students to draw lots. Students lined up in front of their respective teachers and drew out balls with numbers on them.

Mizuha pulled out a ball with the number three on it. Unlike the first time where All Might had them drawing lots on their first class with him and went straight to Byakuren first, she went around on her own and peered at the numbers that her classmates were holding.

"Hyoumei."

The dark gray haired girl whirled around quickly and nearly lost her balance if a familiar tail didn't come to her side to steady her. It was Ojiro. He was smiling at while showing his number, it was the same as hers.

"Oh," Mizuha blinked. "Okay. Who else is with us?"

She saw that Byakuren and Bakugo were standing next to each other, no doubt they were teammates. Bakugo looked a little annoyed while Byakuren was smiling with his eyes closed with hands behind his head. She wanted to laugh at the sight.

Iida, who was standing somewhere behind Mizuha, came walking up to them while holding up his ball. "Ojiro-kun! Looks like we're on the same team again!"

"Yep."

Ah, right. They were together for the exam.

"You're with us, Hyoumei-kun?"

She nodded.

"Todoroki-kun!" Iida exclaimed which made Ojiro and Mizuha turn and notice the dual-haired boy walking with the tallest student of the class. Mizuha brightened up a little when she saw her friend approaching her group. It was always good to have a friend on the same team!

Her first class with All Might made her team up with Todoroki and Shoji for the first time so she was pleased to know that they were going to be on the same team again. It was going to be interesting to compare their first team up with their current one. Everyone on team three had teamed up with someone at least once during the year so far. Iida and Hyoumei were going to be teammates for the first time.

"This team looks good." Shoji remarked.

"Indeed." Iida agreed, holding his helmet under his arm.

"How?" Mizuha put her hands in her pockets, staring at her class rep innocently, rocking back and forth lightly on her heels.

More than happy to explain to the girl whose been getting more open with her class, the taller boy with glass turned to her and started pointing a hand at their members. "Todoroki-kun has wide-range attacks, I have speed, Shoji has scouting, Ojiro is good at close combat, and you, Hyoumei-kun, are the most versatile member who can attack from any range!"

"Oh." Mizuha rubbed her neck sheepishly.

"I'm confident in our team." Iida stated proudly. "Let's do our best to defeat the Villains!"

"Yeah."

"Okay."

"Hm."

Shoji nodded.

Finally, everyone found their teams and their opponents were revealed.

For Round One, Kirishima Eijiro, Kaminari Denki, Koda Koji and Asui Tsuyu were up against Shiozaki Ibara, Tsuburaba Kosei, Rin Hiryu and Shishida Jurota.

For Round Two, Yaoyorozu Momo, Tokoyami Fumikage, Hagakure Tooru and Aoyama Yuga were up against Kendo Itsuka, Kuroiro Shihai, Fukidashi Manga and Komori Kinoko.

For Round Three, Todoroki Shouto, Hyoumei Mizuha, Ojiro Mashirao, Shoji Mezo and Iida Tenya were up against Tetsutetsu Tetsutetsu, Kaibara Sen, Kurei Muchiro, Honenuki Juzo and Pony Tsunotori.

For Round Four, Bakugo Katsuki, Kyouran Byakuren, Jiro Kyoka, Sero Hanta and Satou Rikkido were up against Awase Yosetsu, Tokage Setsuna, Mokuen Hikari, Bondo Kojiro and Kamakiri Togaru.

For the Fifth and Final Round, Midoriya Izuku, Uraraka Ochaco, Ashido Mina and Mineta Minoru were up against Monoma Neito, Kodai Yui, Shoda Nirengeki and Yanagi Reiko.

Shinsou was going to join the first and final round for his participation.

At the start of each match, each team will start at their base camp and will have twenty minutes to reach a conclusion to their battle. If there is no decisive victory within the time limit, then whoever has the most people left uncaptured will be left as the winners.

"Ah! Midnight, All Might and Kishokei-sensei are here!" Ashido exclaimed in the back.

Instantly, Mizuha turned her head around just in time to see the three teachers reach the top of the stairs. She was getting a little excited to have her uncle watch her class. When Eijin spotted her looking at him with lowkey excitement. He grinned at her. He was looking forward to seeing his niece in action. The last time he went up against her was before summer vacation so it's been a while since he's seen her fight.

Mizuha was sitting next to Todoroki and Ojiro on the floor, staring up at the big screen that showed both teams at their base camp, getting ready for the signal from Vlad King to begin.

Her fingers were locked in front of her ankles as she waited patiently for the first round to start. She was interested in seeing how Shinsou would fight alongside the experienced Hero Course students.

This round will serve as the visual learning experience so the rest of us can prepare... I wonder what we'll learn from it.

Something light for the first chapter after the hiatus~ I had originally planned on putting Mizuha in Bakugo's team but I felt like that fight was fine as it was so I didn't want to change anything.

Can I just say that I literally had a dream of how Mizuha would fight in Round 3? Dream happened on 12.29.2020. I woke up and was like 'damn, I should write that in my notes!' Like geez, that's when you know you're really invested in your own fanfic. I even thought of making an AU story based off this during the hiatus.

Did you guys notice something different? Mizuha's hair ain't freaking platinum blonde anymore lmao. I freaking hated it. Plus, I didn't like how the colour looked a little similar to Hiyori's. I wanted contrast. Now her hair is dark gray with a tint of blue... think of wet asphalt?

I made a new cover for the story (and for Aloof Hero) and she's wearing her new costume in it with her uncle and brother. Please look at it lol I'm proud of it.

Names were changed!

Shiran → Shinsui (清水)= Pure Water (the original meaning of his name didn't match with his Quirk and I didn't like how it sounded like 'i don't know' in japanese XD).

Jushima Jinryo → Midakage Tobari Kurei Muchiro (that Class B student that Byakuren fought in the Sports Festival. I changed his name several times because 1. I create OC names like the author of BNHA. 2. I had to change his Quirk because there were too many similarities to other students).

Shinketsu Ikari Honomine Ikari (that fire user from Shiketsu High School that Mizuha had beef with)

Some replies!

hellocherryblossoms: I am not sorry that the cliffhanger made you scream lmao.

xxjaelee: Daamn, I didn't think this story would be binge-worthy o_o Thank you so much though! (⁀ᗢ⁀)

zikashigaku: This review XD. I love it haha. It's so long and detailed that I just loved reading it again. It helped me narrow the options! I'm so happy that you love this story!

princesstrashy: Oh? I thought there'd be plenty of fanfics with an OC that had a water quirk since it's like the most basic element XD.

ChaoticKosMos xD: Kill it with fire (ಠ_ಠ)

Aye yo, ship names?

I was having fun and playing around:
Todoroki - ShouHa? TodoMei? TodoHyou?
Bakugo - KatsuMizu? BakuMei? BakuHyou?

Man, idk I'm not good at this XD That's all I got.

Anyway, see you in the next chapter!
