I do not own Hetalia okay? Just seeing how you guys like this really makes me smile. Anyway, I don't have much else to say, so enough of this A/N, on with the fic!

A ringing on her phone woke Natalya up from her sleep. She looked at the number and didn't recognize it so she rejected the call and placed her pillow over her head and tried to go back to sleep. Her roommate Eliska had been up late trying to work on a paper for one of her classes and in her promise to Toris to not to try to terrorize her, which Natalya did not see her previous behavior as such in the first place, she said nothing to Eliska when she finished at 3 in the morning. It was only 8 in the morning and she was wanting to sleep in. A Saturday before she met up with Toris for Valentines. As soon as she hung up the phone started to ring again. "Kakogo khrena ty khochesh' pozvonit' tak rano v vykhodnyye? YA pytayus' zasnut', svoloch'!" She yelled causing Eliska to wake up with a start.

"Oh well Miss Natalya, I do not know much of what you said, but I can assume it was very rude." Francis said.

"What do you want Frog?" Natalya asked sitting up rubbing her eyes.

"Wow, first Ivan and now you. Arthurs insulting affection is spreading. Anyway, I am sure you've heard by now that Mathieu and Katyusha have finalized their house purchase and that Alfred and Ivan will be getting a well I am told most darling set of twins as all their own in a few weeks."

"I did not know all of that was finalized yet…." Natalya said earnestly.

"Oh hohohohoho I know something before you do…." Francis teased.

"Shut up you cheese eating surrender monkey." Natalya said. "How did you get my number anyway?"

"You would be surprised how sneaky my friend Gilbert can be. Oh and he's Mathieu's boss so don't make him mad. But I need some help from my lovely daughter in law." Francis said.

"I am immune to this smoke being blown up ass." Natalya sighed. "Katyusha is your daughter in law."

"But you are her sister so I think of you just the same." Natalya rolled her eyes at him. "And your brother is married to my other son so you have it double."

"This I have the unfortunate pleasure of knowing." Natalya sighed. "Anyway, let's just cut the crap and why do you need me?"

"Next Sunday I want you to distract Katyusha for a few hours, you know sister to sister while my buddies and I set up a little housewarming and kind of baby shower for both of them. By the time you finish your degree this spring, you and that Toris boy you are with will be a tante et oncle"

"I am not marrying Toris. At least not any time soon." Natalya said.

"I can sense these things a mile away. You two were so cute together last I saw you." Francis said. "So can I count on you to help us by distracting Katyusha while we decorate."

"I guess, what about Matthew and how will you get Ivan and Alfred there?" Natalya said, sensing that it was futile to deny that if she liked it or not he was going to get her involved. And honestly in her mind it wasn't a bad idea. She did want to make sure they had everything they needed.

"Oh Gilbert has a quick assignment planned for him that day." Francis said. "And Alfred and Ivan only know of the baby shower for Katyusha. As long as you say nothing to them."

"Oh I will not." Natalya said as she hung up and lay back down on the stiff dorm bed.

"What was that about Natalya?" Eliska said as she rubbed her eyes and looked over at Natalya annoyed.

"Sorry, just a surprising call." Natalya said, trying to be nice to her roommate.

"Well I had to work late into the night last night so can you keep it down?" Eliska said as she laid back down and went back to sleep.

"Maybe if you hadn't done a whole essay in one night you wouldn't have been up until 3 in the morning and a call I got at a modest hour wouldn't have been an issue." Natalya said as she sighed, got up and headed to take a shower.

Alfred woke up Valentine's day early and shook up Ivan. After talking with the case worker and Nikita and Dimitri's foster parents, they decided that it would be good to meet them and the kids before everything was finalized so it would be smoother. He didn't have anything else planned for valentine's day. Ivan said he had plans later that night but the rest of the day he had to do something. "What is it?" Ivan asked sleepily.

"We're going to see Nikita and Dimitri today." Alfred smiled as he put on a collared shirt and pair of jeans. "So glad that cast is gone." Alfred threw a sweater and pair of pants at Ivan. "Hurry up."

"Give me a minute, I know you are nervous, but I just woke up." Ivan said grabbing the clothes.

"Nervous? Me? Ha!" Alfred said as Ivan gave him a look as to ask 'really'? "Fine I am. I mean we're getting to know the kids before they are officially ours and well…. what if they don't like me? What if I suck at this? I feel like we wrote a check our asses can't cash. Like maybe we should have waited to see how we were with being uncles to Matt and Katy's kid…"

"Well think of it this way, we are actually going to be ahead of them on that way. A fetus cannot do much but kick after a certain age and all they have to get ready is books and tons of anecdotal at best advice. We will get to know them before they are living under us all the time and gage just how they are and what we need to do for them. It is not easy but I know we can do it." He pulled Alfred close and kissed him deeply. "No parent is perfect but we will do the best we can for those two little ones."

"God I love you so much." Alfred said.

"I have a few things planned for you tonight. I managed to talk Matvey to getting some of his furniture from storage to move into his house. He said he would take Katyusha there for a sweet night at their house together. So feel free to be as loud as you want after dinner." Ivan said. "But let us stop at a store before we get there, I want to get a surprise for them."

"Oh bribing the kids already?" Alfred laughed.

"I'm just being friendly." Ivan sighed.

Thinking it would help Nikita and Dimitri transition from foster care to a permanent home, the case manager had arranged for Ivan and Alfred to meet up with their current caretakers and meet them. Alfred had tried to think back to when Francis and Arthur had adopted him and Matthew but it was rather hard to remember what it was like. "I don't remember if Dad and Papa had to do something like this when I was adopted….in fact the earliest memories I have is being little with Mattie and Ace of Base playing in the car. Don't remember exactly where we were coming from…. might have been a Christening ceremony because I remember those goofy things. I asked Dad about it once and while neither one of them is very religious, Papa thought it traditional and wanted to do so. Insisted."

"Do you know anything of your birth parents?" Ivan asked as they pulled into the driveway of Nikita and Dimitri's foster parents.

"Not much" Alfred said. "I mean I know Matt and I didn't just pop up in Christening robes and Dad and Papa take care of us. All I know is Dad and Papa and that's what I am going with." Alfred said finally. He was scared to ask about them because he was afraid of the answer. He had a good set of parents, even if they were obnoxious at times. "But let's worry about Nikita and Dimitri." Alfred said shutting the door and taking the presents they had gotten for Nikita, Dimitri and their foster parents.

"Okay." Ivan said as he rang the doorbell and a woman came to the door.

"Oh you must be Alfred and Ivan. Come in. Nikita and Dimitri are napping right now so it's just adults." She said as she guided them in. "I am Sherrie and this is my husband Tom." She sat them down as Alfred and Ivan looked around. The house did not seem too bad and it seemed from the items in the house they made enough for a modest living. So this isn't one of those foster care horror stories you hear about on television…. On the surface anyway. Alfred thought as Sherrie hurried into the kitchen and laid a try down on the coffee table in front of them.

"So…." Alfred began when Ivan took over. His nerves were striking him at this moment and he wasn't as energized as the morning. "We got you a cake and some toys and candy for the kids when they wake up."

"Thanks." Tom said as he opened the container and ate a cupcake. A silent pause filled the room. Neither party was too certain of how to handle the first meeting.

"So, why are you just fostering rather than adopting?" Ivan said wanting to gage the two.

"That's rather abrupt right out the gate…." Alfred said.

"Nah, I get why he'd ask that." Tom said. "It doesn't bother me."

"You see, I cannot have children of our own and Tom and I always wanted a large family." Sherrie said as she poured Alfred and Ivan a cup of tea. "And instead of just adopting a lot, we had figured that fostering would help to leave an impact and a big family that way. The system isn't perfect be we want to make sure we guide these little ones to a good life."

"So when we were told that both Dimitri and Nikita were adopted together we were so happy." Tom smiled. "I would hate for them to be apart." At this a door creaked open. Two children headed out of a bedroom they shared.

"Ms. Sherrie, Mr. Tom, who are these guys?" Dimitri asked as he was followed by Nikita.

"You're being adopted. Meet your new parents." Sherrie said

"What? Two guys?" Nikita said.

"Well you got two parents" Alfred said getting to Nikita's level. "You will have a cool Dad and awesome Papa."

"So you're our dad?" Nikita said.

"Soon. Just got some stuff to get together." Alfred said. He looked at the shirt that Nikita was wearing. "You like baseball?"

"Yeah." She said starting to crack out of her shell. "That's not for girls though…."

"Who says that?" Alfred said with a huff. "You can play whatever you want skipper." Alfred ruffled her hair with a smile.

"And you must be little Dimitri. I'm your Papa…." Ivan said as he picked the boy up.

"You're tall!" Dimitri said.

"And you could grow to be just as big one day." He said spinning the laughing boy around. "But you must be good and eat all your veggies."

"Even broccoli?" Dimitri pouted.

"Especially broccoli." Ivan teased. "But your dad and I have to get your bedrooms ready before you are allowed to stay with us forever. Grown-ups can have some pretty silly rules on this." With this Tom picked up Dimitri who ran over to Nikita and Alfred.

"I like how you described everything. They are still pretty young and I don't want them to be traumatized by this all. Luckily their mother had her parental rights terminated when they were too young to know what was going on when they were still infants and had been lucky to not have bad foster parents. I am just so glad that you two are so willing to adopt them both.

"Don't sweat it." Alfred said. "Honestly I was raised much the same. My brother and I are twins and adopted by a same sex couple." He said still holding onto Nikita who looked at him funny at the word. "I had 2 dads too." She smiled at this. "So now you have two grandpas. I have to warn you though; they are rather silly."

"We have something for you guys. We didn't know what you liked so we got you this." Ivan pulled a toy truck and some candy for Dimitri and a stuffed bunny for Nikita and candy for her as well."

"It's chocolates and such, we weren't sure what you liked the best." Alfred said. "I know the M and Ms. are my favorite."

"There's no peanuts is there Dad?" Dimitri asked. "I'm allergic." He pouted.

"Uhhhhhhhh…" Alfred said.

"Nope, all of it is just the milk chocolate." Ivan recovered. "I picked these all out for you. I did not know your favorites but I know all kids love chocolate."

"Well Papa, I really like gummy bears. Chocolate is good but I like gummy bears." Nikita smiled.

"So next time we see you we will give you a bunch of gummy bears and no peanuts." Alfred laughed.

At this Nikita and Dimitri brought out their favorite board game and insisted that they play together. Sherrie and Tom looked on as Nikita took Alfred's hand and Dimitri Ivan's and sat it down. "So, youngest goes first…." Alfred read and looked to the twins knowing that growing up Matthew teased him in situations like this, as he was technically 3 days older, especially on their 16th,18th and 21st birthdays he would always revel in the things he got to do 3 days before Alfred did. "I played this with my brother when I was little and we were twins too."

"So who went first?" Nikita asked. "Because when it is just Dimitri and I, he goes first." She smiled proudly.

"Your Uncle Mattie is 3 days older…." Alfred huffed.

"What about you Papa?" Dimitri asked.

"I have two sisters, one younger and one older." Ivan said. "But in playing order, it is Dimitri, Nikita, Me then your Dad." Ivan said.

"You're younger than Dad?" Nikita asked.

"His birthday is December 30th while mine is July 4th." Alfred explained. "When's yours?"

"September 17th! We'll be 4 then!" Dimitri and Nikita said at the same time.

"Mrs. Sherrie told me that I was born 15 minutes before Dimitri." Nikita said proudly. At this, the game began and an intense rivalry of who got to the candy castle first began as Ivan and Alfred played along. This continued until Sherrie mentioned it was time for dinner and called the children into the kitchen.

"Nikita, Dimitri, dinner time." She said as the children sulked. "Come on," She added. "The grown-ups say that you have stay with us until later." Nikita and Dimitri looked sadly at Alfred and Ivan.

"But Ms. Sherrie, can't you do something?" Nikita pouted.

"Sadly no. The people who handle these things are pretty slow." Tom sighed. "Alfred, Ivan, you are welcome to stay for dinner."

"I'd love to but we have plans and have to help my sister move into her house fully tomorrow." Ivan said. "Also I have some plans for Alfred, what it being Valentine's day."

"Enjoy." Tom said.

"Will you be back soon?" Nikita and Dimitri asked pouting.

"We'll see you again next Saturday and every Saturday until they say you can move in with us. If Ms. Sherrie and Mr. Tom let you, we can even have you decorate your rooms with us." Alfred said.

"Can't wait Dad and Papa." Nikita and Dimitri said as they hugged Alfred and Ivan.

"Any of you guys, feel free to call. We want to make the transition these two as easy as possible." Alfred said as he pulled the twins in a hug. "I'll miss you guys so much.

"As will I." Ivan said hugging them "YA lyublyu tebya moi malyshi"

"huh?" Nikita and Dimitri asked.

"It's Russian for 'I love you my little ones.'" Ivan replied.

"Oh well you know I won't be little forever Papa. I'll outgrow you and I will actually eat my veggies." Dimitri smiled.

"Well eat up." Alfred said. "Thank you guys."

Sherrie then took the twins to eat their dinner and Alfred and Ivan headed to their car. "Now, I know I have been harping on you about your love of burgers while you had your cast on, but you have been doing pretty good when it comes to making decent choices now and well, I figured we could go to that fancy burger place."

"You mean that sports bar with the wings?" Alfred smiled.

"Yes that one." Ivan said.

"God I love you so much Vanya, and you did so good with the kids." Alfred said as they walked in and the waitress took them to their seats. As they sat down and gave their drink orders, he looked at the menu and then to Ivan. "God I wish we could just have them now. Like we have two kids' menus as well and they'd be drawing all over that maze."

"I know dorogoy" Ivan smiled as he looked through the menu. "But they seem to like us so that's pretty good from the start."

"And once Katy and Matt finish moving out, or have enough stuff they can stay there we can start redoing the rooms for them." Alfred said dreamily as the waitress placed down their drinks and he sipped mindlessly at his coke.

"Although on a more adult topic." Ivan smiled mischievously. "Katyusha and Matvey are out tonight, and you have that cast off finally. By the time I am through with you we'd have woken the neighbors and worked off whatever you eat. This stuff can't be very healthy…."

"But it's tasty." Alfred smirked. "And you like some of it, don't lie."

"I will neither confirm nor deny." Ivan huffed causing Alfred to laugh.

"Whatever." Alfred said. "Just romance me with what I like and you got me." Ivan smirked.
