Yachi thought that it was a bit of a rough start the training camp by going against Fukurodani in the first match however, it was a good reference to see the gap of skills between the two teams. Yachi noted for the many times Karasuno put in their new skills during the game but they all turned out to be unsuccessful.

Kageyama set for Hinata for the first time and the entire team went silent when Kageyama's toss didn't reach to Hinata. It seems the movement of the ball was very clear that it was totally different than the previous ones he used to do. Everybody noticed the shocking differences of Kageyama's toss.

But Yachi knew that it wasn't only Hinata and Kageyama that changed with the way they play. Once Asahi did his first service ace into the game, the ball unfortunately went beyond the court line. Karasuno's Ace frowned deeply and clicked his tongue harshly at his result, he knew he could have done better than this.

Yachi watches him from the side, 'Azumane-san never fails to scare me whenever he looks angry at himself like that.'

The game moved on for the worst in Karasuno's case. The members were totally unsynchronized, every spikes gets either blocked or out. Even Fukurodani was starting to feel weird in seeing how terrible Karasuno was playing and laughed when Nishinoya's toss failed miserable when he didn't even manage to hit the ball in the air.

"Hey, what's up with those guys? Are you guys alright?" Bokuto asked in a teasing manner after he saw that miserable failed toss by Nishinoya.

Yachi couldn't help but chuckle helplessly. It does seem a rocky start for Karasuno during this match. Everyone was still awkward in playing with each other and somehow trying to sync the play was more difficult than it seems.

It was not surprising to see that they lost against Fukurodani from this match.

As for their penalty, the team had to run up the hill outside of the gym. Daichi had commented that this was the infamous penalty for summer training camp in Shinzen so the team weren't really looking forward in doing this penalty instead.

Yachi helped serving the filled water bottles to the team once they were able to make it down from the run. Everyone thanked graciously for the assistance as they gulped down the cool water down their throat.

"Here you go." Yachi gave one to Yamaguchi before turning to someone else, "Sugawara-san, here you go."

"Thank you so much, Yacchan!" Sugawara replied with a tired smile as he took the bottle from her hands and started to drink it down like there was no tomorrow.

Looking around her team, she saw that everyone is starting to warm up their bodies for the week. They were starting to get used to the harsh regimen that was prepared for this week's training, even though it was certainly difficult – everyone was very diligent.

Perhaps the match against Fukurodani did wake their bodies up from resting. As expected, training with the top schools is going to be very rough if they need to improve their skills quickly for the next official match.

Yachi supported the team alongside Kiyoko for the rest of the day. Seeing from her notes, it was painful to see that they lost every matches until the end.

'It doesn't seem that different compared to the last training camp.' Yachi concluded in her notes as she wrote it down.

"Ne~ Yacchan." Bokuto called from the side as Yachi noted down on her book. She looked up from her page and replied brightly towards Fukurodani's Ace.

"Yes, Bokuto-san?"

"What's wrong with your team today? Everyone is very different from last time. Trying something new?" Bokuto asks as he wipes his sweat from his forehead with his towel wrapped around his neck.

Yachi smiled sheepishly in return, "We are certainly trying out new things this time, Bokuto-san. But since it's a recent move, we haven't made that much progress."

Bokuto chuckled at her response before looking towards Karasuno members who were practicing for the Free Practice after the official training schedule was over for the day. Seeing some Karasuno members trying to do a synchronized attack that was almost successful, Bokuto whistled in amazement.

"Still, I think it's quite a quick progress. Karasuno always surprise me in many kinds of ways lately. It's very impressive." Bokuto hums as he watches the other players continue their practice on the other side of the court.

Yachi smiles, "I'm happy that you think very highly of our team, Bokuto-san. We still have a long way to go but I'm all happy for all the effort my team members put so far." Yachi looks back to her team with a beaming smile that can be described as pride.

Bokuto watches her expressions from the side. The edge of his lips tugged into a smile before he pats Yachi's head fondly.

"I'm happy that you're enjoying volleyball lately, Yacchan." Bokuto said.

Yachi blinked owlishly at his statement before she realizes that she does in fact enjoyed volleyball. It shouldn't be that much of a news for her but this time – somehow – a new feeling of acceptance and belonging appeared inside her.

She smiles brightly at Bokuto's way, "Un! I'll also do my best!"

Bokuto laughs lightly as he tenderly pinches Yachi's cheek, "That's nice to hear."

His eyes glints with affection as he looks at Yachi tenderly before he lets go of his fingers from her cheeks then patting her once more on the head.

Unknown to Bokuto and Yachi - Washio and Konoha watches the duo from the distance. Witnessing one of the rare moments of Bokuto showcasing his affection to someone with a soft expression of endearment.

"Now that's a sight. Never knew he could make that kind of face." Konoha commented as he plays with the ball on his hand.

Washio hums, "I doubt that he even realizes it."

Konoha snickered, "You'd be surprised! Sometimes he's more sensible than you think!"

Bokuto ran off to the third gym after talking with Yachi while he tries to drag the rest of the Fukurodani members along with him to practice some more spikes. Yachi watches as the flock of owls loudly made a scene all the way to the third gym. It was quite a funny sight.

Afterwards, Yachi stays in the gym and help some members with their practice. It was this time when she notices Hinata and Kageyama looking disgruntled on their own. Perhaps they were disappointed about their performance today with their quicks so Yachi decided to help them as well.

She pushed another cart of balls towards them and called, "Are you both going to practice quicks?"

Kageyama and Hinata looked up towards Yachi who motioned to the cart of balls next to her.

"Balls? Want some balls?" She gestured excitedly.

Hinata chuckled lightly at Yachi's effort for them to practice more with their quicks. It was kind of adorable on how she was trying to help them.

It won't hurt to try.

"Okay!" Hinata head towards Yachi as Kageyama followed afterwards.

During the time Yachi helped passing the ball to Kageyama, it seems that it was still difficult to follow up after he tosses it to Hinata. Perhaps it was about the timing or something else differently but Yachi could tell that both Kageyama and Hinata was frustrated that they weren't able to make a good hit for this new quick.

What was more difficult for her was the fact that Kageyama and Hinata lacked communication between them during practice. Yachi did somehow try to slip in some words in order to ease the tension between them but in the end, the new quick wasn't successful and they had to retire for the night.

After everyone helped cleaning up the gym, Yachi collects all the used towels and vests from the members in a laundry basket and walked towards the laundry room so that she could finish the chores quickly. She didn't eat dinner yet so she has to hurry before they close off the cafeteria soon.

As she was passing by the third gym, she still sees that there were still some people practicing there. She quickly came by and poked her head inside to the room and announced.

"Hello everyone! Cafeteria closes in thirty minutes!"

Everyone in the room stopped their practice and began to clean up the area. Upon seeing them cleaning up, Yachi was about to head back when she felt an arm suddenly wrapped around her and pulled her back.

"Yacchan~ you came here to pick me up?" It was the familiar voice of Nekoma's captain, Kuroo, holding her hostage inside the third gym.

Startled by the sudden embrace from the back, Yachi looked up to see Kuroo's face and frowned. "Kuroo-san. Please don't scare me like that." She pouted.

Seeing her closely in this position, Kuroo was happily holding her with his arm and stare at her from his height. Her warm brown eyes and peachy pink lips, she is too adorable that Kuroo couldn't help but cooed at her softly.

"Aw~ I'm not scaring you." He slyly wrapped another arm around her waist and pulled her to his chest.

Yachi's face flushed red down to her neck upon feeling Kuroo was hugging her from behind. The feeling was overwhelming for her as she was extremely embarrassed from this position.

To Yachi's dismay, she didn't feel entirely uncomfortable despite being hugged by Kuroo who she thinks that he's doing all this teasing jokes just to make her feel embarrassed. Her brain started to go haywire when she felt his firm chest on her back, the oddly scent of fresh deodorant that covered the scent of his sweat and his breath against the skin of her neck.

"K-Kuroo-san!" Yachi whined.

Kuroo laughs at her reaction as she was really cute in his eyes. He knows he can't push her boundaries so he won't tease her further. He lightly laughs again and grabbed the basket of laundry from Yachi's hands smoothly and carried it instead.

"Let's go together." Kuroo said as he stepped out of the gym, "After dropping this off we can go eat dinner."

"Mou~ Kuroo-san." Yachi sighs and shook her head from his antics, "Your help is appreciated but please don't do that to me next time. You're going to give me a heart attack."

Of course, Yachi's nagging didn't really shake Kuroo so he merely smirked at her. "Hmm…then next time I'll announce it you if I'm going to hug you again."

"Wh- what? That's not what I mean, Kuroo-san!" Yachi huffed, her cheeks painted red.

Kuroo snickered at her expression and added, "Just kidding~ hehe it's so fun to tease you."

Yachi shook her head and stepped out of the gym as well when this time she felt a large hand slipped into her and held on to her. She looked to the side and saw the face of Bokuto beaming at her.

"Yacchan! Are you heading to cafeteria too? Let's eat together!" He beamed at her excitedly.

Yachi was surprised that somehow he was able to hold her hand so easily without hesitation as if holding her hand was the most normal thing in the world. Yachi stares back and forth from Bokuto to their clasped hands and confusion just started filling her head at this point –

"I doubt screaming to her face is a tempting invitation, Bokuto-san." Akaashi then stepped out of the gym as well as he eyed Yachi's and Bokuto's joined hands momentarily before he looked up to Yachi. "Yachi-san, it's okay to say no to them if you don't feel like it."

"N-no, that's okay! I don't mind eating with everyone." Yachi replied quickly. She truly has no problem eating with the company of others recently so it wouldn't be a bad dinner if she eats with Kuroo and Bokuto for the night.

Akaashi gave a small smile, "Then do you mind if I join you as well?"

Yachi nodded with a warm smile. "Of course, Akaashi-san. I'd be happy to eat with you too."

"Yosh! Let's go and eat our fill until our stomach bursts!" Bokuto exclaimed happily as he pulled Yachi with him towards the cafeteria.

Meanwhile Akaashi and Kuroo merely shook their heads at their owl captain silly antics. Yachi was a little flustered with Bokuto's hand holding her as they walked side by side, feeling the warmth of the Ace gripping her hand in his gently.

Haha - this time I was able to make a quick update. Sorry if the writing is a bit awkward and fast-paced, don't know why it feels like I'm rushing this chapter hmmm

But I hope you enjoyed this chapter! Since Yachi is starting to get used to training camp now, I was hoping that she can face through some challenges as well.

In this chapter we have the Karasuno comeback (horribly though lmao but they'll get better as we know), Yachi doing her best in the training camp and our favorite trio of Bokuto, Kuroo and Akaashi altogether haha. Not much going on in this chapter since it's just a bridge chapter so I'm hoping I can write better in the next chapters. No matter how many times I updated this story - It's always difficult to write down everything even though I already wrote down the plan for this fic haha.

I'm hoping that I can update sometime next week but I can't promise anything though lol. I really want Kageyama and Hinata to be buddy buddy again cause it pains me knowing that they're having a fight huuuu. But for the sake of plot, this must do :(
