It was not every day that someone got to see a major shinobi village be under sieged, and even more so when said attacker where their own nations samurai. But here it was, Suna being besieged by their own nation.
The shinobi army saw thousands of tents lined behind rows upon rows of catapults, men were everywhere with some kind of task to do. With Jiraiya and Shikaku at his side as well as ANBU guards he made his way into the front where he was greeted by a small party of samurai, the lead samurai wore intricate armor and carried an ornate sword on his side.
"Ah greeting Lord Hokage! I am General Nato, commander of this proud army, while I am ever grateful for your aid I fear you may have come in a bad time" the general greeted them.
"That the daimyo was kidnapped? Please, let us discuss while my men make camp" The general nodded as he got off his horse to walk side by side with him. "How and when did this even happen? It seems rather desperate for a village to pull something like this off."
"Indeed, when we first learned of the betrayal you should've have seen the Lord I never saw him so furious in his life. To learn you could not even control your own shinobi village, we would've become national laughing stocks had we done nothing. The daimyo immediately demanded answers but after a week we received nothing and we feared the worse.
So we called in the armies and march to Suna and demand answers. Only for us to receive this" The general motioned to the closed off village. "Suna would only close itself if there was war and well ... the Daimyo assumed the worst and we began our months long siege" said the General.
"And no damage?"
"Suna is built to endure, they can go months if not years during a siege. On top of that our catapults are not at the quality as your own nation meaning they having limited range and power. But I am rambling, after months of attack the daimyo had began to grow annoyed with the lack of results we tried to explain the situation but he barely listened.
The Daimyo soon arrived as he went to make to his declaration to Suna, which was when they striked. We're prepared for nightly assaults and even day assaults from the village. But getting attacked in the middle of a speech when the daimyo was guarded, brazen would be the word I would use but regardless it still worked. By the time we recovered it was too late and they had the lord" The general answered.
"I see, has Suna made any demands yet and does anyone know of this?"
"Outside of the army here and yours? No, the Daimyo's brother is in temporary control and he has forbidden anyone from speaking on the issue. Actually the man himself wanted to meet with you to discuss about Suna" said the general. "Please follow me."

"Ah, Naruto Senju it is a pleasure to see you!" a tan skinned man greeted him. Around the man were his advisors, the daimyo motioned them away as he pointed to the empty seat.
"Lord Daimyo" the blonde greeted as serving girls entered the tents laying down a gilded plate filled with sugar almonds and an assortment of spiced nuts. The Daimyo grabbed as few urging him to eat "Thank you my lord. But I understand that you wished to discuss something with me, I can assume it is about your brother."
The immortal watched as the edges of the man's lips tightened, was he trying to hold back a smile or was that a griminced? Regardless it went away as the man spoke "Yes, my dear brother. I am quite distressed in hearing him being kidnapped by Suna, I warned him coming here was a terrible idea."
"A terrible thing my lord. Do you have any plans on getting him back?" naruto asked.
"At the moment Suna has not made demands for anything, however, with your arrival that may change. My advisors warn me that may keep him hostage indefinitely, as a means of keeping the nobility from attacking them" the man answered.
"Yes, I can see where they are coming from" by holding onto the daimyo it gives them the necessary protection against anymore attacks from the wind nation. However, it would only last until the new daimyo had children and then it was all on the table. That was not taking in the backlash from other nations, all it this has done is buy time and perhaps not enough.
"I only wish my brother never allowed missions to divert from Suna to begin with and we will would never be in this position to begin with" the man grumbled "He should've known that doing so would only make us weaker ... well if he wasn't in one of his hedonistic hazes—No, No, do not go there their is enough worry already."
"Hedonistic Hazes?"
"Oh no do not worry about Hokage, just the grumblings of a brother" he waved.
"Please I insist, clearly your opinion on your brother is poor. I promise not to tell anyone else" the immortal pressed. Using his magic he grabbed hold of the daimyo's mind and weakened his mental walls, not enough to be noticed but enough to let himself fall into a haze like state. Furthermore magical runes formed on table preventing anyone from hearing what came next.
"Well ... I guess there is ... worry ... I am Daimyo now. My brother is a fool, the greatest one in our nation. The only reason he is the ruler was that I was two minutes late and my nation has paid for it, ever since he was child all he cared for was his own pleasures and it was only gotten worse over the years. The only thing he will rule over is his wallet and loves to cut corners to fuel his pleasure houses" the man ranted, taking some time he calmed himself with deep breaths.
"Apologies, that was unbecoming of me ... however, you are very right that I have no love for my brother" said the daimyo.
"I see, well that was rather enlightening" he waved the magic away "But I do have a plan that may help us. You see my advisors and I have found out that suna has—" The flaps to the tent open as a samurai bowed to them.
"My lords, Suna has sent shinobi to discuss with you. They are demanding peace talks!"

"It will take two shunshins to get back to their wall" Jiraiya observed "There's only three of them but one of them is the old coot."
"Old coot?" naruto asked.
"Chiyo of Suna, a master puppeteer and head of it's brigade. I remember running into her twice in the wars and each time I did I hated it, she's a master of poisons and uses a dozen puppets that each can take out a team of jonin. Plus she is one of the villages few S-rank ninja" the sannin listed.
"Joyful" their group got closer to the puppet user as they saw a stone table and two stone chairs waiting them. With him was Jiraiya, his personal ANBU guard, and a representative of the daimyo. Naruto opened his arms and greeted them "Lady Chiyo it is an honor to meet a legend like yourself. I was told that your village wished to discuss peace terms?"
"Indeed lord Hokage, we wish a ceasefire between our two nations as well as you to listen to our demands" said Chiyo.
"And you are in a position to demand anything? Might I remind you that we own your bijuu, your kage is dead, and your own nation has abandoned you" Naruto warned her
"And yet we have the daimyo, you will not risk incurring the wrath of a nation unto yourself" Chiyo bit back.
"The new Daimyo seems to be in no rush" Naruto leaned back "But I will humor you, speak."
"Firstly we wish for a cease fire between our two nations. Secondly we wish it to be confirmed that it was Orochimaru, not our kage, that began the assault and that we were manipulated by that foul man into helping him" Chiyo listed.
"That is all? No other demands or anything of that sort?" Naruto pressed "I would imagine you would want something else, maybe your Bijuu."
The old women scoffed "The rest of the council are fools, this is not the demands they sent but what I request. I know the daimyo is not popular with his nobles and I doubt anyone would shed and actual tear to the lump. We only bought ourselves some time and that's it, all I want is my home to be safe and those that call it such."
Jiraiya looked shocked when the old women kneed before the hokage "Please, I beg of you to spare my people if you need blood then take ours, it was our hatred and jealousy that led us to our ruin. But the generation after us and so on ... they do not deserve your anger, I can see in the sands and wind that things will change greatly and I want to do all I can to preserve my people."
"And what of your demands for the wind nation?" he asked. The women stood up as she handed a scroll the representative, as the man read it over he looked worried before closing it and whispering into his ear; The Daimyo could not accept the demands they would make him look weak in the front of the nobles and weaken his regime.
"I see, I am sorry Chiyo but I fear your pleas may be unheard" Naruto sadly answered back. The women did seem shock nor horrified, but merely resigned in an understanding way. Naruto motioned the rest to leave as Chiyo also started to get up, but stopped when naruto grabbed her arm he pointed to the stone table as he engraved words into it.
Your nation may not be able to help you, but I will
"... Thank you" she whispered.
The group returned back to main camp and went into the war tent where the Daimyo waited for them with his generals. "I assume diplomacy it out of window."
"For no at least. We have our own plan in taking down Suna and my advisor Shikaku will explain it to you, however, there will be one minor difference in it" Naruto replied.
"And what would that be?"
"I will be part of it"

People tend to forget that deserts can get really cold at night as the immortal noted some of the shivering men with him. They had reached the abandoned tunnel way and were beginning to journey to suna.
"Hey kid, you sure you want to come with us? This can get really messy if any of us make a mistake" Jiraiya asked as they saw the last man jump down.
"Better with me here, someone could get it wrong" Naruto muttered back. The sannin looked annoyed but gave a resigned sigh as he motioned the boy to jump. The tunnel was dusty and dry, since it never finished construction there was no feces or piss to worry about. One by one they walked through as they found the tunnel to tighten a few meters away far to small for them to fit.
Jiraiya summoned a small toad as its cheeks ballowened and acid was spit out. In seconds the wall was destroyed by the acid and letting them within Suna. Looking around there was nobody around they could see, it seemed they were in some kind of water treatment plant. The sannin motioned them to follow as they made their way through the facility and into the streets. Once or twice did they see the odd patrol but it seemed most of the forces were on the walls.
"Alright Kid, you ready for the fireworks?" Jiraiya asked.
"What about the civilians?" Naruto asked.
"Looks like they're all away in their bunkers, I doubt we will hit them" the man assured him.
"Good, once you cause the chaos I will be heading out to get the Daimyo" said Naruto "If I had to guest they would be holding him within their main building."
"Probably, that would be the building in the center of the village. You sure you don't want any help?"
"Come help me when we breach the walls. Good luck Jiraiya" With a wave of his hand the shinobi saw their kage transform into a desert bird before flying away.
Jariya sighed as he shook his head. Pulling out a summoning scroll the rest of them followed suit. "Summoning Jutsu: Toad Clan"
Above Naruto watched as his godfathers summons appeared, immediate water jutsus and boiling oil was unleashed within the city as other toads started to spit out troves of shinobi. Outside he could see the samurai catapults fire and earth jutsu racing towards the wall to break it down. The defenders acted quickly as wind justus and other summons tried to fight the full might of the toad clan.
Wasting no time Naruto rushed towards the kage building and as he reached towards it he let go of his transformation. Going invisible and casting a flying spell as he flew close to the building where he grabbed the building. Extended his magic the stone momentary plused with magic as he looked for the daimyo. He could sense over two dozen people, looking down he could see a single soul with four other souls away from it.
Must be the Daimyo
Cracking his neck magic swirled around in his hand as he released the energy, the wall exploded and he could sense the other souls going to his direction. He summoned multiple shadow clones as they raced within the room with him following behind. Suna shinobi poured into the room as they begun going through hand signs.
He activated his semblance
Their heads rolled to the ground as his clones continued their assault, he could sense other souls begin to move as well as those below. Soon the rest of the guards arrived as other shinobi wearing more formal attire. He ordered his clones to attack as he slipped from the battle.
Making his way down he sense only three other souls the further he went down. As he reached the bottom a strong forced slammed into his head as aura flared and throwing him to the wall. Getting back up a magical barrier formed as invisible wind blades tried to kill him, regaining some sense he was able to see two other shinobi with wear similar to that of ANBU.
"Interesting so Suna's version of ANBU are guarding the Daimyo, predictable" the immortal noted. None of the suna nin moved as they waited for him to move first. Slamming his cane the earth below rumbled and spikes jetted out. The ninja jumped out of the way as shouted their wind jutsus destroying the spikes and brushing against the barrier.
Manipulating his magic more spike came out again but this time also from the ceiling and walls. Using their chakra they stuck onto the spike. Dropping his barrier his hands erupted with green flames as they repelled it with a timed water jutsu. Ignoring the steam he wasted no time and charged at them, using his semblance time slowed once more.
Seeing their bodies slow then significantly he attacked twice to the neck as time restored back to normal. Their necks snapped and they both fell to the ground. He retracted the spikes as he made his way to the daimyo, walking to the door he could see no seals on it. Magic formed in his hand as it struck the door, steel door creaked and bended from the force twisting away.
To show Chiyo herself
"Unless I have forgotten I believe there should be a missing daimyo here" naruto muttered.
"Normally he should be here whining and yelling at us ... but it is very hard to defend a dead man" the women answered. The women took out a scroll and laid in front of him. With single sign the seal released to show the corpse of the now dead wind daimyo.
"Would you believe it that this man died from a stroke of all things. He was sleeping in his cot and when we checked he was dead, the smell gave it away. It only happened just a few hours ago too. Feh, out of all the things that could kill him poor diet would be the cause" Chiyo whispered.
"Well, this is make everything harder. I had hoped to put the man down after I had rescued him, perhaps within a few months and replaced him with his more reasonable brother but now that is gone. I may not know your nations politics but I doubt the new daimyo can show any mercy now" The wizard frowned.
"Indeed, that is why I decided to come meet you once more and again I must beg for you to help save my village form its destruction. We won't last this night, since the lost of missions we have been forced to cut down our forces and we'd sent out best into the konoha invasion. The men and women on the wall are nothing more then genin, green chunin, and retired shinobi. That is not taking in the loss of our kage, best men, and gaara"
"... Dammit all, why is it that everywhere I go I end up falling into a rock and hard place" Ozma groaned. He remembered all the situations he had been in his life and this wasn't in the top 20. Didn't make the situation any better. "I may have something but it is not the way I had intended it to be."
"Then do it, Suna life is at your mercy"

"Truely what a shame my brother died but in the end we must move on" the daimyo sighed. Looking around the his samurai were walking across the battlements with Konoha shinobi and Fire nation samurai too.
"Yes, what a shame" Ozma notting the the lack of care in his voice. The battle was ... quick, Chiyo was right when she said they had sent their best against konoha.
Jiraiya himself noted that the shinobi barely put up a fight against his summons as they tore through and while they were busy their forces were able to open the stone walls letting the rest of their forces to charge in. Naruto himself joined in the battle later on wielding his aura and magic simultaneously, drawing upon thousands of years worth of experience.
As the battle raged on the last of their reinforcements came, seems the fire nation samurai caught wind of their attacks and doubled timed it. Even after trekking through so much land the samurai came in and helped put down the last of the resisting forces.
The suna shinobi that had surrender were placed in camps as the sealing corps restricted their chakra. The civilians were still kept in their bunkers under the watchful eye of the samurai.
"My lord, what will you do now? It will take years for Suna to rebuild itself back into a superpower again and with all the minor villages vying for attention" Naruto asked.
"I have my own ideas but I want to hear yous first after all you have the most to gain from Suna's demise" the daimyo replied.
Naruto doubted that, all that meant was more room for Iwa's influence "Personally I feel that the citizens of suna should not be harmed. They have done nothing to warrant our wrath nor should be punished for the crimes of their leader. Besides, the lost of suna is not something your nation could recover from easily. The village contains vast amount infrastructure for future shinobi training, contacts with other villages/nations, and a plethora of clans with their jutsus. Creating a new village will be a foolish decision."
"Oh? And I thought you wanted to enact vengeance for your people but here you are trying to save suna of all things?" The Daimyo questioned.
"Justice, my lord. We are here to see that those responsible are punished for their crimes of attacking our home, do not associate it with vengeance" the immortal chided "I am merely stating facts here my lord, I understand your nobles have been pushing for revenge and I simply see it as an unwise decision."
The man agreed, personally he would prefer having the village still alive if abit under tougher rule or perhaps revoked of its charter. To destroy all the existing infrastructure and then try to rebuild it all was a fools move ... however, it was one that became more likely. As the new daimyo he needed to ensure his subject loyalty and giving mercy would destroy that.
"Nonetheless my people will not be leaving here without some sort of repercussion" Naruto explained.
"Wouldn't gaara be a fair prize? You already have the Ichibi under your control and with the kyuubi the power balance ever tilts to your villages favor, without our own bijuu our position as a major village will be in challenge" argued the daimyo.
"Gaara is no prize, he is a human being like any of else and is a prisoner of war. I want Konoha to have a say in Suna politics, the right to build military bases along the border, and the access to their jutsus" Naruto stated
"You wish me to give a foreign nation a voice in my militaries matter!" The man looked appalled "I did not think someone like you would make such a dangerous demand. Do you wish to cause an international incident? I am willing to give you your first demand under some restriction and the last one but the second is impossible."
"And there I must disagree. Let us be frank here my lord, my people have threaded across a vast distance to see justice for your villages crimes and with us is an army from the fire lord himself. I come with a quarter of my forces including one of the sannin as well as one of our greatest generals, that is not adding myself" He listed off.
"Are you threatening me!"
"Threatening? No, I am stating facts right now and the mood of my army" he took a deep breath "I do not want to fight with you nor do I want the relations between our nations to suffer anymore than it has, however, like you my people have demands I must see through or else face the consequences.
Which is why I am offering a solution to you. I want konoha to own a major portion of the debt suna owes and have a hand in the reconstruction efforts, or course the last one will be more private then anything else" Naruto offered.
"That is ... rather kind of you hokage. Any other kage would ask for village secrets or simply raze the village after they were done" As a boy he heard the tales of minor villages being razed to the ground by the major powers during times of war. As for taking the villages debt there was potential danger there as it gave Konoha a powerful edge.
Then again debts can be bought back
"Please, we aren't Iwa or Kumo. I understand that my method is unusual however for this case it is appropriate, I fail to see any reason to destroy an entire people over the crimes of their leaders. I believe my method may be the best choice and for getting the nobles on board surely there's a way you can take away some of their rights or strengthen the other minor villages that have come here while weakening suna to an extent" Naruto offered.
"It will will take some time and much work to get everyone on board" the daimyo mused.
"Well Konoha is willing to take the time to see justice done" Naruto offered.
"... Well then we have a lot to do then" the man turned as the hokage followed.
"Yes we do my lord, yes we do"
