There were Gamers who simply walked their own path.

Gamers who came from crafting universes like Subnautica or Factorio or Minecraft tended to be a little more on the eccentric side due to their isolation in a hostile world.

Alone with nothing but their Gamer System and whatever pets they had.

And there, by the banquet table stood such a Gamer.

Clad in the reinforced dive suit that most Gamers would recognise from Subnautica with its sleek black form adorned with glowing orange lines running down its limbs.

The Gamer would have made a strange sight wearing it to any other formal party, but in an omniversal event that saw guests dressed in platemail bikinis, skin tight leotards, loincloths and the skulls of their enemies? He fit right in.

Add in the sheer obsession-sparking wonder that were Pokemon-elements to their Gamer System? A slight touch of insanity was the bare minimum of what was expected to happen. Quirky habits were only to be expected from such Gamers.

Stuffing a bowl of Rare Candies in his pockets was one such act. Serving his bowl full of pasta while wearing a sombre expression was another. Crying into the bowl was yet another.

"Tim… I'm so sorry." the Gamer guiltily sobbed into his bowl of pasta, "But this Stalker alfredo pasta just tastes so good!"

And as it so happened, the name of the Gamer that was simultaneously sobbing and taking big bites out of his pasta was Daniel Samuels from a Subnautica multiverse.

"Your distant cousin's sacrifice will not go in vain." He hushed to the pasta, cradling the porcelain bowl reassuringly before taking another bite. "It's so good…"

Sitting the bowl down, Daniel resolved to bring his old friend, Tim the Stalker, to the next party that he would be attending.

"It'll only be fair after all after leaving him behind with that sad expression of his." He muttered listlessly- already missing his snouted fish friend.

Outside of his secretive Gamer System, Tim was his oldest friend.

I'm flattered. Really, I am. It's nice to know that you appreciate the things I do for you.

The only reason why he did not bring along Tim was that he still needed to breathe underwater. Something to look into in the future. Maybe an Alien Containment Unit carried by golems would help? Or something like a reverse prawn suit but for Stalkers like that Fish minion in Megamind?

A sudden roar of the crowd cheering interrupted Daniel's thoughts.

With a small squeak of his dive suit, he turned to look at the thrones at the other side of the hall, bowl still in hand. Stretching his neck to try to look over the crowd of Gamers that were intently watching the endless stream of other Gamers giving their gifts and blessings.

As bad as it sounded, Daniel didn't want to go up there and congratulate the happy couple and give his well wishes. The thought of having so many people stare at him and listening to his every word. Also, he didn't bring a gift. At least, nothing that didn't involve fish.

That and the thought of meeting the omniverse's most powerful Gamer who gave birth through his ass was scary and unsettling and completely scared him shitless.

No pun intended… well only a bit.

"Heh." Daniel gave a small chuckle into his bowl, "Listless, giftless, shitless."

Looking out the window, he could see the stormy shoreline in the horizon. An endless black wasteland under an eternal blood-red night sky. But rather than feel intimidated, Daniel only looked curious, then shocked as the realisation dawned in his eyes.

"That's it!" He announced, his black dive suit clad form standing up abrupt before marching his way to the exit.

"Since I'm here, I may as well see what is under the sea in RWBY." he muttered to himself. "Maybe that will cheer Tim up: an exotic Remnant fish as a souvenir."

The few guests that bothered to look up would see him jump out of the window, turn into a gargantuan dragon made of wood and vines, and soar through the sky at mach speed. In no time at all, Daniel found himself standing on the beach just out of reach of the violent crashing of the waves.

Staring down the stormy seas and the dark choppy water that seemed almost black in the endless night of the Dark continent. Even the most hardened sailors would feel fear gripping their spines.

But not to Daniel- not to someone like him.

He only saw it for what it truly was- a vast expansive land under the sea just ripe with fauna and flora for someone like him..

"Hey, Anima?" Daniel called out behind him, "Ready to help me show the guys and gals back at the castle what the Yggdrasormr of 4546B could do?"

"I will follow you wherever you lead, my Captain." the much larger golem answered back, just the hint of warm devotion in her synthesized voice, "Even to the ends of reality itself."

"I knew I could count on you." the Gamer replied with a proud grin before breaking into a sprint- the sound of his footfalls accompanied by the heavier ones of Anima.

Chunks of titanium flew from Daniel's inventory, and with a few bursts of his energy, their two footsteps were joined by those of another golem. And another, and another.

All charging towards the violent water.

The Seas of Remnant didn't know what hit them.

Walking into the hall once more with deep pants and with a grip on a colorful necklace in hand, he approached the thrones of two of the most powerful gamers.

His wet steps on the crimson carpet earned more than a few glances by gamers, his ragged appearance earned more.

He shrunk back a bit but he had no choice but to do what he did, he couldn't just leave without giving the newly weds a gift!

So, with as much confidence he could muster in his aquatic suit, he took a deep breath and walked until he stood in front of both Lord Kuro and Lady Shiro.

Presenting the gift before them, Kuro eyed him with curiosity. He awkwardly coughed, he was never good with receiving attention, especially from such a being.

"Well this is new." Shiro commented with a hint of amusement as Daniel, still dripping sea-water, presented them with a colourful necklace.

Like a Pacific Islander necklace, woven from long leaves of red and green and purples- winding together to form a graceful loop. Sharp teeth decorated from freshly slain predator fish adorned the edges all along its circumference

"I explored the depths of the seas here in Remnant and grinded until I had enough teeth to make it." Daniel announced.

"We saw the whole thing: Jumping into the sea both feet first was ballsy-" Kuro commented, as he appraised the necklace, "more than a little stupid- but ballsy nonetheless."

"You made it out of freshly killed apex predators at that as well." Shiro added his two cents, "It's a fine gift."

Even Little Fenris seemed to enjoy his gift made from enough dead ocean predators to fill a tanker- his little palms appraising the necklace before looking at him and nodding in approval.

Daniel grinned widely.

Because even though it still confused him, being complimented by an ass-baby and the man that birthed him, made Daniel feel a bit warm inside.
