Hello Fellow Readers!
My apologies for the delay in chapter updates! I've been waiting on the MHA manga to show us what the villains (AKA Touya mainly) have been up to. It seems we won't be seeing them just yet... But I am working on future chapters meanwhile. I'm not sure if I want to include fillers for now - if you have the time, please let me know what you would like to read regarding my story. :) Also, I do plan on doing a TikTok live some time...Not sure how many would be interested in that.
Thank you for your patience! I hope you continue to support Twin Flames! 3

The private jet has just taken off. Aboard it is just me and the pilot. I'm drinking some tea I prepared from the jet's in-flight meal cabinet to calm my nerves. My laptop continues playing the news as I sit in thought, multiple browsers showing footage from different news outlets.
'I wonder how the meeting with Rikiya went at the Commission…' I think as I hold my cup. 'I somehow have a bad feeling about that…'
My gaze turns to the window in thought. I then reach for my backpack, pulling out the black photo album and begin to look through the photos.
'I'm leaving all these memories behind…' I sorrowfully gaze at them. 'All of my loved ones…'
"We're coming to you live from the skies above Jaku City!" A news reporter exclaims on my laptop.
I dart my head to my laptop's screen, showing an aerial shot of the city. To my horror, much of the city looks to be decayed.
"Are you seeing this?!" The reporter exclaims. "A good third of the city...has been reduced to rubble! Directly below us, rescue teams made up of heroes and law enforcement officials are helping citizens evacuate. What an incredible effort! It brings to mind the terrible scene we witnessed in Deika City! The smoke and dust are obscuring our view, so we can't quite tell...who or what these heroes are battling!"
'What the hell is going on?' I think as I watch intently.
"Hosu City, Kamino Ward…" the reporter continues. "The large-scale terrorist attacks…that began last year don't seem to be letting up! Yes, we're witnessing history repeat itself in Jaku City today! What is going on...in Japan right now?! Where is...our country headed?!"
"There's an enormous villain heading northward through Wakayama Prefecture and Gunga Prefecture from Kyoto straight to Jaku," a reporter says in another browser window I have open. "Nearby vicinities need to evacuate immediately! I repeat! There's currently an enormous villain heading northward through Wakayama Prefecture and Gunga Prefecture from Kyoto straight to Jaku. These are the following cities the villain is expected to pass through: Mino City, Carkoon City, Nevarro City, Hando City, Mos City…"
I stare in horror as the reporter continues to list the cities the villain is expected to rampage through.
'The heroes…' I think. 'Who were assigned to stop the villains at the mansion… Did they fail?'
Footage of the massive villain is shown in the open browsers on my laptop screen. A trail of destruction is left behind.
"The massive villain is rampaging through Sauro City!" A news reporter exclaims. "With no signs of stopping!"
'The raid mission…' I think. 'Was it all...a mistake?'
The news outlets continue to show all the destruction and chaos.
'Is this what you wanted...Touya?' I think.
"At this rate, he's heading straight for Nabato City at 100km per hour!" A reporter says.
'If that villain continues at this speed…' I think. 'The evacuation teams won't be able to keep up.'
Just then, all the browsers of the news outlets show that the connection is getting cut. A static sound emits as the footage on all news outlets buzzes into the same image.
'The signals are being hijacked…' I figure.
After a few glitches, it becomes clear, revealing someone familiar sitting on a chair.
"Touya…" my eyes go wide.
It's footage of Touya sitting on a chair, resting his elbows on his thighs as he leans forward with his head low. He holds his hands together as he's preparing to talk. He's shirtless, revealing all the burns on the upper half of his body.
"I, Touya Todoroki…" he begins. "Was born as the eldest son of Endeavor."
'He's…' I think as I'm starting to figure out where Touya is going with this.
"I've killed over 30 innocent people until now. I would like to let everyone know why I'd end up committing such a hideous act," he holds his arms slightly open. "Endeavor has a long history of being power-hungry. And in his despair of being unable to surpass All Might, he forcibly took on a wife in order to give birth to a child who would possess an even more powerful quirk… I was created for my father's selfish dream. However, I was deemed a failure...and quickly abandoned, tossed aside and forgotten... My fire that burned others is indeed Endeavor's fire."
I continue to watch the footage that's being broadcasted on all the browsers I have open, concluding that it's being shown throughout all media.
"With some of Endeavor's blood left behind after his big fight in Kyushu," Touya holds up a paper. "It came back with a 99.99% match… But who would believe in a medical document procured by a villain of all people? You all would need a little more convincing than that… After bearing me, my father would force my mother to give birth to more offspring. And by the fourth, it worked! Some of you may know him as Shoto. But even with this trophy son, my father would still get physical with him. I've seen it firsthand… Endeavor doesn't have any consideration or respect for others. He has a narrow, self-righteous meantality mired in his self-image. Do you think that kind of human should be allowed to assume the role of a hero? Let alone assume the position of No. 1? But I guess this trait runs rampant in the industry."
Just then, the footage switches from Touya to what looks like two men fighting. My eyes go wide upon realizing that it's Keigo killing the Liberation member Twice.
"I present to you…" Touya narrates. "No. 2 hero, Hawks! Without any hesitation whatsoever, Hawks stabbed a villain with his feather blade as he was crying and running away, right in front of me as I tried to protect him."
The footage indeed shows Keigo stabbing and killing a terrified Twice. I finally realize the task the Safety Commission assigned Keigo, putting the pieces together.
"In order to infiltrate us," Touya continues to narrate. "He did something unspeakable. He killed another hero… the poor No. 3 who was recuperating, Best Jeanist."
I furrow my brows, trying to figure out if Touya's claims are real or not.
'It can't be…' I think. 'Keigo would never… There has to be more to this.'
"Violence has become such a norm in his life," Touya continues. "That he did it without a second thought. It's quite similar to someone else, actually. His father was a serial robber and murderer...in other words, a villain."
'How does Touya know this? Keigo's identity and past were kept secret...not even I told him… He knew only his first name.'
"The reason his record and real name are kept from the public is because of that exact reason. His father was caught by Endeavor. What a coincidence… Looks like birds of a feather flock together after all."
"Damn it…" I grit my teeth.
"I cannot forgive them!" Touya exclaims. "They're packaged and sold to you under the name of justice when they don't even have an ounce of sympathy! And on top of that, they dare call themselves heroes! They are deceiving all of you! Please think more critically! The only ones they protect are themselves! Everyone, you are just being used as tools to protect and enable these ugly people!"
I then recall what Touya had said to me those months back when I first ran into him at the bar.
'The League plans to have those empty heroes be pulled off their pedestals,' Touya's voice echoes in my head. 'To create a brighter future.'
'So this is what he meant…' I think in awe.
Images of Touya's suffering flash in my mind. He would lay devastated on the floor, pulling on his hair, often crying to me and asking why he even existed. His psyche was damaged due to the abandonment from his father, whom he sought desperately to prove himself to. All of Enji's actions of his dark past have now caught up to him. Touya is indeed seeking his vengeance on his father - on all of hero society - and it looks like he'll be succeeding. I question what happened to the Touya who beamed and loved his father. Right now, I'm not sure if he's completely lost in the hate he harbours. I begin to tremble at these thoughts, tears flooding my eyes upon realizing that the man I love is truly unhinged. My hand clutches at my stomach, thinking of the child we conceived together. The child who Touya will never come to know. I drop the cup of tea and the photo album drops from my lap as I quickly grab the garbage bin near me and begin to vomit.
"Damn it…" I grit my teeth as my eyes are watery. "Damn it, Touya…"
Even if Touya's claims are partially true, the public will still doubt them because he's a villain. It'll surely cause the people to lose even more faith in the heroes after this stunt though. Knowing the truth behind the Todoroki family's past, I know Touya's claims are twisted, made to paint Enji in the worst possible way. But the public doesn't know that.
'I know the actual truth…' I think. 'In fact, I can vouch for Enji as proof of his truly kind nature despite his dark past...but I can't go back.'
I lower my head between my thighs and grasp my hair.
"Damn it!" I grit my teeth. "I'm letting Enji, his family, the heroes...I'm letting them all down…"
I then remember the reason I'm leaving the country.
"But I know that in the end…" I put a hand on my stomach. "I'm making the right decision for you…"
Even after I give birth to my child, I can't return to hero work. Besides the fact that I have to remain hidden, I choose not to. I don't want to risk something happening to me, leaving my child alone when they've already lost their father.
'I won't let my child end up an orphan…' I think. 'I'll raise him or her on my own...to be the best possible person they can be…'
I'm determined to prevent history from repeating itself, even at the cost of my heart.
Visions of a young Touya hunching over in the dark flash in my mind. His head slowly turns to me, revealing the crazed look in his eyes as his blue flames consume his entire body.
I wake up, peering around and forgetting where I am. The bedroom I'm in is unfamiliar, but I then remember I'm in my new home. The jet plane landed in Hawaii earlier this evening. Japanese embassy executives connected to the Safety Commission welcomed me and escorted me to a quaint home located in an isolated area of the Hamakua Coast. The location is isolated enough where constant patrol won't be necessary. There will be personnel assigned to drop off any items I may need weekly since I'm not able to go out in public at all, at least not for a while. Rarely will I need to go out in public, but the limitations will be negotiated as time goes on. I sit up on my bed and reach for my laptop to view news on the updates of the war aftermath back in Japan.
'Hawaii is 19 hours behind Japan…' I think. 'That should be around 3am here right now.'
"After Tartarus was hit by a sudden EMP attack," a reporter says. "There was a prison break. Many inmates escaped, along with multiple prison breaks at other facilities."
"People are worried as escaped convicts roam freely," another reporter says.
"It seems this is only the beginning of what's to come after all the chaos."
'It's looking worse…' I think in worry.
"Currently, many heroes involved in the battling are in critical condition. A number of them are announced to be deceased. The No. 1 hero Endeavor is said to be in critical condition."
"People are left wondering if the claims the villain Dabi made about pro hero Endeavor are actually true… The people want answers from the No. 1 hero."
I close my laptop with a blank stare. I'm saddened at the fallen heroes, wondering if their deaths were worth it in the end. On top of that, students were sent out to aid. I think of Enji, wondering if he and everyone else is alright.
'My phone has been disconnected,' I think. 'The only way I can make calls back home is through this phone with an unidentified number so that I can't be tracked…' I hold a cell phone. 'That means people won't be able to reach me… They're probably worried sick about my whereabouts…'
I wonder what the future of hero society will be after all that's happened in Japan.
