Chapter Thirty Three

Kelly POV

It was early morning, and I had woken up once again. The night had been terrible and full of nightmares. The sun was just barely coming in through the window and illuminating the wall by the door. All the boys were fast asleep for once, they had really needed it. Jungkook and Taehyung were pretty much on top of each other on the medium sized couch, while I sat in the small recliner in the corner. Hobi and Jimin were asleep in their hospital beds. The heart monitors were the only sound in the quiet room. I looked up at the clock on the wall; 7:32. We were really stuck now. There was no way I'd be able to try and find the others now. I could always borrow a rental car and keep going, but on my own, I wouldn't have much luck. I leaned forward onto my knees with my elbows, supporting my head in my hands. I sighed deeply, closing my eyes. What were we going to do now? Just tell the BigHit team where we thought the others would be? And have them not question how I came up with this information?

I opened my eyes, coming to my decision. With their managers on their way, I couldn't stick around. I'd be kicked out anyway, not allowed anywhere near the boys. I'd be questioned about how I came to be with them and my history. I stood silently and turned towards the door, reaching to hold the handle. I looked back on the exhausted boys. I'd gotten them to where they needed to be, and now I had to go help the others. I needed to go to Texas and track down Yoongi, Jin, and Namjoon.

Taehyung POV

I opened my eyes slowly, feeling the groggy pull of sleep. I lay out on my side on the couch, Jungkook pressed up against my chest as he slept. I had one arm over his side and we were somehow pretty comfortable on this small piece of furniture. I could feel him breathing slowly, my arm rising and falling steadily. I pulled the thin blanket off and pushed myself up. Stretching my arms over my head, I felt my back crack. I let out a sigh of relief from the stiffness. I noticed immediately that Kelly was gone. I frowned and stood, careful to not bump Jungkook.

"What happened?" I heard Hobi's soft and low voice ask and I smiled at him. I moved to the side of his bed and leaned down, hugging him gently. His weak arms reached around me, holding on for a few soft moments.

"A truck hit us." I explained and he nodded slowly, wincing as he tried to move around. "You got hurt pretty bad."

"The others?" He asked and looked around me at the small hospital room. "Jimin?"

"He's alright, just banged up as well. Jungkook is asleep." I said and moved so he could see him on the couch.

"Kelly?"

"I don't know, she's gone." I sat down in the chair next to his bed. "Good riddance I say."

"She did her best, Tae." He closed his eyes and shifted in the bed. His heart monitor was beeping faster now. I reached out and took his hand.

"I know she did, but she still made me nervous." I sighed and traced small circles in his hand. He nodded and leaned into his pillow.

"That means if she's gone, then we're on our own again until the managers get here." He said and looked over at Jimin as he heard movement. I looked too and saw Jimin moving in his sleep, pushing the blanket off himself. His tired eyes opened and looked over at us.

"Good morning sleeping beauty." I smiled and he closed his eyes with a small smile.

"What about Yoongi, Jin, and Namjoon?" I turned back to Hobi. He met my gaze.

"We can only hope that we can find them. We can go based off of what Kelly told us."

"What is that smell?" Jungkook asked groggily, sitting up on the couch. He rubbed one eye as he looked over at me. I took a moment to register what he said and then it hit me. Scrambled eggs, toast, waffles, pancakes, bacon, and god only knows what else...they were making it for the cafeteria breakfast. I paused and looked over at Hobi as he noticed it too. Only he frowned and shook his head, clearly not ready to eat right now. Both him and Jimin were still drugged up, recovering from their surgery. But Jungkook and I, we were both suddenly starving. I felt my stomach twist and growl loudly, enough to where Hobi noticed it.

"You guys haven't eaten yet?" He asked. I shook my head wistfully, my mind filled with images of the breakfast cooking only a few doors down. We hadn't been able to eat since before the accident, nearly 48 hours ago. Jungkook was on his feet now, standing at the door and peeking through the small crack. He turned to look at me, his hand over his belly.

"Tae, I'm huuuungry…" He whined, moving to stand next to me. His hands rested on my shoulders, gently shaking me. "Can't we go and get food?"

"I don't know, can we leave this room?"

"I don't think so." He pouted, looking back at the door. "But they're making scrambled eggs…" His stomach grumbled loudly, almost in my ear as he stood next to me. "You know how long it's been since we've had scrambled eggs?"

"Or any decent food for that matter." I added, looking back at Hobi. He was still drowsy from his medications and couldn't help us in this situation.

Jungkook POV

I heard someone jiggling the door knob to our room about 15 minutes later and I jumped to my feet. My heart was pounding as the door opened and several men walked in, one of them being a doctor in a white coat. The other two I recognized as our managers and relief washed over me. I sank back down to the couch, my legs feeling like jelly. This nightmare was over.

"Jungkook, V! Jimin, J-Hope!" They moved over to us. "We've been worried sick. Where are the others?"

"Jin, Namjoon, and Yoongi are still out there." Taehyung's voice was low and steady, his tone sounding tired. "We need to find them. We have information that might help us."

"Then please, do tell. We can get you two in a van and then transfer J-Hope and Jimin to another hospital." They were talking to the doctor now, disregarding our statements. I looked over at Tae as he stood to walk over to me. Several more people had walked into our small room to get information from the doctors and to discuss movements and timing. I wasn't sure what we'd do now. Would we go right back into what we were doing before our vacation? Would we fly back to Korea? Everything was moving so fast, and I longed to just be in a quiet room with my headphones and be able to relax. We had been fighting for our lives for the past two months…

"You two, come with us. We need to talk about a few things." I looked up at the manager as he gestured to us. I reluctantly stood with Taehyung and followed him out of the room. As we walked, I noticed we were going to be walking right past the cafeteria line. I could see all the breakfast food laid out and steaming. I subconsciously moved my hand over my rumbling stomach. Taehyung bumped into my back, not noticing I had stopped to stare.

"Come on, don't get lost." He whispered, gently taking my arm. He didn't want to lose the managers in such a large hospital, but then he noticed what I was staring at. He hesitated as well, hardly able to move his eyes past the steaming eggs and bacon. The lady serving the food noticed us and waved sweetly, a smile on her face.

"We can't just grab something really quick?" I asked, looking over at him with large eyes. He clenched his jaw and gently pushed me forward.

"We'll ask in a little bit, just keep going." He finally said, dragging his gaze away. I knew he was just as hungry as I was. We continued walking, my feet feeling heavy. We were led to a small room with a large table and chairs in the center, like a conference room.

"Please, take a seat." The manager said, pulling out a chair for me. I sat down slowly, folding my hands in my lap. Taehyung sat next to me, his hand moving to rest on my bouncing knee. "We need to go over everything, all the information you have on the others wearabouts."

"Did you talk to Kelly?" Tae asked. They shook their heads and I bit my lip. She knew where everyone would be, how could she just disappear on us?

"There was no Kelly that we knew of. Where is she?"

"Your guess is as good as mine." Taehyung sighed and leaned his elbows onto the table, looking over at the head manager. "But before we continue, can we please talk about Jimin and Hobi? Their recovery is a priority, I don't think moving anyone and starting back into our routine is best."

"Don't worry, we're going to take care of you guys." Just as he said this two women walked in, both carrying two large plates of food. The same breakfast food I had been drooling over moments ago. "No one is going anywhere for a while. You are to fly home and recover for several months before we go any further. Full health exams and treatments shall be issued as well." Taehyung and I watched as the plates were set in front of us. "Eat as much as you'd like, I know you boys haven't been eating very well in these past few weeks."
