Chapter 33

Itadori was set up thanks to Suiryu.

Despite the situation his brother offered to stay with him to ensure he is taken care of, of Yuuji refused. It was still cold at night and he didn't want anyone to freeze on his account. Granted, it wouldn't have bothered Suiryu to say the least. But he felt as if it would be more of a pity party. So, Yuuji tried to make the best of it. Suiryu did go out oddly and returned with a bag of things. He sifted through them and pulled out gaming devices, portable chargers, a tablet and strangely enough, empty notebooks and pens. "Wow… thank you!" Yuuji said with great gratitude.

"This is just to get you by, I am going to look into getting this place very comfortable for you, since we don't know how long it will last."

He nodded in agreement. "I'll text you if I need anything."

"You do that,"

Suiryu said his goodnight and went off to the dorms. Yuuji tried to get comfortable but wasn't really able to. He sighed aloud and tried to fall asleep…

"Ah… it hurts… why does this hurt?!" Yuuji muttered. He felt as if his arms were on fire. When his eyes opened, he saw smoke! Then, the pain began to intensify! "AAAAAAHHHHH!" he screamed aloud.

He was on fire!

Flames were appearing all around him on the outer layer of this strange structure, and yet it was affecting him! His arms burned and it was spreading over his body! "SOMEBODY STOP THIS!" he shouted. He couldn't break free from where he was, he couldn't move himself or use his power to put out the flames without it spreading.

"YOU DUMB MOTHERFUCKERS!" he heard Suiryu shout.

The flames were taken off the dome, yet the burning continued. He was smoldering and couldn't stop the pain from spreading. "IT HURTS, SUIRYU IT HURT!" he cried aloud.

"MEGUMI!" Suiryu shouted aloud.

There was silence at first until he heard…

"MAX ELEPHANT!"

A cooling sensation began to come over him. Itadori savored it as the smoldering was soon put out, yet he was still in a lot of pain. His arms chard beyond repair, in fact most of his upper body had third degree burns. It hurt to even move at this point.

"ITADORI!" Peering up, his friends came rushing in. Yet the moment they saw him, Suiryu shoved them to the side and ran in. Instantly he tried to use reverse jujutsu to heal him, but it wasn't working.

"Fuck!" he shouted in anger. "I'm going to kill those bastards!"

"Who… who set me on fire?" Yuuji asked.

Suiryu sneered. "The elder's henchmen…"

He froze. "They… they figured it out didn't they?"

"We don't know yet, since this just appeared yesterday. They thought a curse was moving in or something." Fushiguro explained. "Yuuji, what can we do to help…"

"Divine water,"

The room jumped as Kitsune appeared, she looked devastated the moment her eyes came upon Yuuji. "Oh… young master…" she ran to his side and began to inspect him. "Oh my poor young master…" she turned to Suiryu. "Go get divine water this instant!" she ordered him.

"Where the hell do I go!?" he snapped back. "I don't know that shit, that's divine energy remember?"

She rolled her eyes, with the snap of her fingers glowing orbs began to appear. Yuuji saw little green fairies, but they appeared devastated the moment they saw him. Kitsune was quick to order. "Reveal yourselves to him…" she said pointing to Suiryu. "I know what you are thinking but there is no time, we need divine water, and he can carry a lot of it. Now!" she ordered.

Suiryu was then dragged out by the fairies pushing him all the way to the exit. "Whoa, hey, calm down, let me get out of here on my own first!" he protested was quickly vanished.

"What was he talking to?" Nobara asked.

"Doesn't matter. I want you two to get water, keep dousing my young master until Suiryu returns!" she ordered.

There was no argument, Fushiguro kept his Max elephant out and had it continue to pour water outside.

Yuuji was trembling.

"It… hurts… so much…" he whispered.

He has been burned before, but never like this. "I know, but please, be strong young master, it won't be long until divine water is brought to you…"

"What will it do?" he asked.

She merely smiled to him.

Nobara suddenly returned carrying two massive buckets. She threw one right into Yuuji's face much to his shock. "Pour it on him, don't just throw it!" scolded Kitsune.

"How was I suppose to know!? You sounded so urgent to get this!" she protested back.

Coming in behind her was Gojo sensei. He took one look at Yuuji before walking away oddly enough. It caught Itadori off guard. "That's weird…" he muttered.

Nobara agreed. "He didn't even step in… anyway…" she turned back to Yuuji, Nobara then carefully poured the other bucket over his head, he savored the cooling effects but they were short lived.

"GOT IT!"

Suiryu returned after being gone for no more than ten minutes. In his hand was a small orb, much to the disgust of Kitsune. "That's it!?" she demanded.

He glared at her. "What do you mean? 'That's it!?' This here is at least 100 gallons!"

"Never mind, start pouring it over his head!"

Suiryu nodded as he approached him, with great care he controlled the orb and allowed the water to cascade down. Once Yuuji felt it hit, he gasped in shock.

Instant relief!

"You good?" Suiryu asked.

"Yeah... more please…"

Suiryu was careful, much to the surprise of those around him. He went poured with caution, carefully portioning out the water until every inch of the burn was covered. Peering to his arm, he saw the black char break off and his skin and body healed. His burns were gone and where the fire had be set to had since grown over and repaired itself.

"Thank you… everyone," he said graciously.

With all the divine water used up, Suiryu looked about. Megumi rejoined them when he decreed. "I want someone with him at all times!"

"I'll go first," Fushiguro announced.

"I'll come in after a while. Text me to switch out," Nobara said without hesitation.

"I will also be keeping a closer eye on this, I am so sorry this happened under my watch, young master. I was searching for the other elemental for you…" Kitsune explained.

"It's okay… thank you for looking out for me." Yuuji turned to Suiryu. "Go see the brothers please," he asked. "They are going to be worried that we forgot about them…"

He sighed aloud. "I want to go kill those who set you on fire… badly…" Suiryu said with a growl.

KABOOM!

The ground shook!

Yuuji felt it from where he was as everyone peered outside to see, half a wall was blown out of the school! "Shit… Satoru beat me to it…" said Suiryu, but then he smiled wickedly after. "Oh well, I won't be picky about the scraps…"

He was gone before Yuuji could plead with him not to kill anyone. Kitsune however was quick to follow suit as she rushed after Suiryu!

Ten minutes before…

Gojo knew something was wrong.

After all, that large wooden ball came out of nowhere, but was quickly explained by Suiryu it was Itadori. "His element is forcing him to plant himself… literally," he explained. "He can't leave that spot or move at all until this is over. We will keep a close eye on this,"

He agreed of course, Gojo was quick to tell Yaga about it all so no one does anything stupid. But apparently, there were those who didn't get the message.

When he saw the fire that morning, Suiryu and Megumi quickly put it out. Yet when he checked on Yuuji, his heart broke a little. The poor kid was in agony from the burns he got. He said nothing, as he was quick to catch the culprits heading into the school.

Enough is enough in his mind.

He followed them rather casually, until he heard them in the halls. "Should have known it was that freak of a demon vessel! Then again, the council must have known it was him. It's the perfect way to get rid of him once and for all!"

"Too bad the fire got put out before it did enough damage…"

"Well, that's the thing, he's planted, he's not going anywhere… so we can try it again, but we will be more prepared this time."

"Will you now?"

Suddenly, the four men he stalked turned around and saw him lingering, his playful smile set their minds at ease for the moment. "Oh, Gojo, didn't see you there…"

"Yeah…" he said, then the smile vanished as he raised his right hand. "Red." He said in a cold tone.

The four were blasted through the wall!

They stumbled back yet appeared dazed and confused. "What the hell Satoru!" they demanded of him. "We were just doing…"

"Doing… what…" came a very angry Suiryu. His four eyes were far more red than usual. He stared down the men like prey as his lip curled. "You knew my brother was within that structure… yet you didn't give a shit about that did you? So, answer me this… why should I… give a shit… if you live… or die here and now?"

Damn, that even made Gojo himself shutter!

"Suiryu!" shouted Kitsune.

"Stay out of this you damn fox!" he protested.

"Don't kill them!" she insisted. "Please… young master doesn't want them dead… besides… that's too lenient of a punishment."

"Too lenient?" Suiryu questioned, but then paused to consider her words. "Perhaps you are right about that… I suppose you have a better idea?"

Gojo suddenly felt the urge to move away from both Kitsune and Suiryu, they were sharing a devious grin! Kitsune was walked beside Suiryu for a moment yet whispered something in his ear.

A look of surprise came over him. Suiryu turned to the four men. "Oh? I never thought of that… I could transfigure them into something more… appropriate…" he said offhandedly.

"I do believe I get first crack, I warned the council myself if they dared harm my master… it is returned to them… nine folds!" she decreed.

"Ooo, I never considered THAT option," Suiryu paused to think it over but sighed. "Very well, but I get the next one"

"Wait, what? What did she mean?" one of the sorcerers asked.

"Let this be an important lesson for you… think for yourselves…" Gojo announced just as Kitsune brandished her fan…

#

"That thing isn't burnt to the ground yet… what is it?"

The council met in the early hours, they wanted to be certain that the wooden eyesore was taken out before noon, yet it stands… and it appears stronger than it was before.

"Don't tell me that a curse has set up shop here…"

"GGAAAHHHH! IT BURNS! IT BURNS SO MUCH!"

The council shot off their seats as the four sorcerers they dispenses to deal with the structure came running into the room. Their bodies scorched beyond repair, they screamed out in agony to the burns covering their skin. They trembled and shrieked for relief but none was to be given or found.

"Quick reverse jujutsu on them!"

One elder was proficient with it, and began to attempt to heal the burns.

It wasn't working.

"It's… not curse energy…"

"Kill me… please… kill me…" one man pleaded. "I can't endure this, please…"

The four were suffering and begged for death. There was little choice in the matter, but it would be given to them.

One took out their sword and approached them. "I will make this quick…"

SLASH!

The sword went through their neck, their heads were about to drop when suddenly… they reattached!

They were still alive!

"GGGAAAHHH! THE PAIN IS WORST THAN BEFORE!"

There was scared confusion among the elders. Yet soon they heard a haunting chuckle. "Like your little punishment there?"

He appeared in the corner of the room. No one saw him enter let alone how he made it in.

Sukuna's clone wondered towards the four who were on the ground in agony. "We did warn your elders, but apparently, they didn't give a shit about you…"

"What… what did you do to them!"

"Huh? Oh? I didn't do the burning if that's what you're asking. But the revival of them, that was all me!" he said with a grin. But that smile quickly vanished. "You dare make such a brash move… burning something without seeing what it was… just a heads up, stay away from there from now on if you want to live longer. But next time, their punishment… is yours." Suiryu warned. He turned to the four. "You… are going to suffer for a while to make sure the lesson sticks. I would have you remain like this for the rest of your lives, but I think someone close to me would frown it upon. SO, with that in mind, take solace in your lesson and ensure you never do such a thing again… because, the next time you fuck up. I get to punish you… and I decided killing you is just too simple as well as less satisfying than this…"

His devious look returned, and it was sent on the council. "I am aware I have addressed you as elders, despite the fact you are merely their puppets for the time being… that's fine, tell them everything you saw here today… and warn them… next time, it will be them!"
