The office had remained quiet for a solid week. The police had been in several times to interview Noll. Though they respected Noll's reputation, they wanted to make certain what Noll saw was consistent. Noll repeated himself multiple times after being offered a number of Yasu's other possessions.
Setting down a lanyard, Noll sighed, "This is pointless. I'm not going to suddenly see anything new." Truly...he was tired of seeing the same event again and again.
"But we need every detail you can provide," replied an investigator.
"I have given you all the information I was able to gather. I suggest you begin making use of it." Noll was tired. He was truly regretting even entertaining the idea of making an attempt to search for Yasu with the others around. He would have much preferred to play it off as another fluke with psychometry.
"It's nothing!" argued the investigator.
"I apologize, but if he was unable to see, nor am I."
Muttering, the investigator flipped through his notes. Noll had given him the transcript of some conversation. Fairly standard stuff. Victim begging for their life, unknown male taunting victim, physical sensation of a stabbing… Noll had even been so kind to mark up a forensic body chart for them, twice. They matched perfectly, and were extensive. To think Noll supposedly felt it all…
"Alright… Just call if you can recall anything else, Dr. Davis."
Noll sighed. He picked up his book from the coffee table and returned to his office, leaving Lin to escort the investigator out. Upon Noll's departure, Lin couldn't help but notice something odd. Tucked in Noll's neuroscience book were a few thin papers.
Noll was sketching again.
