Lexi awoke the next morning to an empty bed and the shower running in the bathroom. Double checking the boys were still snoozing, she made her way into where Happy was. Leaning against the counter she watched through the curtain seeing his head resting against the wall while the hot water ran down his neck and back.

"You going to join me or keep creepin instead?" He asked bringing her out of her daydreaming not even turning to face her.

"I mean I was enjoying the view," she answered with a smirk.

"Your loss," he told her shutting the water off and opening the curtain to reach for a towel. "What's your plan for today? Clay needs me to help round up guns to fill the Niners order."

"Thought we were going to see your ma? Told Jax I'd check on Wendy too."

"You all go. I'll see how ma's holding up and if tia Mari is good to keep the boys for a few hours. I don't want them around the crank whore..."

"I can see if Bec is good keeping em here fo-"

"Not gonna happen," he said cutting her off. "I want Bec with you so you aren't alone. I don't trust that bitch. Especially if she might be on the shit again like Jax thinks."

"Okay. Maybe Gem or Neeta then. I don't want your aunt and ma to have to worry about them with ma's new chemo schedule. When do you think you can go by with us? I'd rather we go as a family. She misses you too, not just us."

"Whatever works babe," He told her kissing her head before pulling his pants on. "I'll see when I can get away to get to ma's but no promises."

"Then we stay here till you can." She said with a finality starting to mess with her hair while looking in the mirror.

"Don't push it Lex..." he threatened making eye contact with her reflection.

"I'm not." Knowing damn well she wasn't about to let the conversation drop but the boys started stirring in the room. "Duty calls."

"Hey..."

"What?" She asked picking up Harley and kissing his cheek before passing him to his father. Barrett was all smiles and giggles as his mother grabbed him.

"I need you to be smart today. I'm willing to let you leave, you know how to take care of yourself, but nowhere alone. Boys don't leave here. Don't fight me on this babe."

"I'm not fighting." She answered simply before grabbing the boys outfits to get ready for the day. "I'll be smart. What are we doing about breakfast with my parents? Seeing as how we slept til almost noon."

"Gemma is here already. She was in the office when I went to get some coffee."

"Oh, alright. I'll probably just feed these guys and get some coffee for myself."

"You need to eat something. There's cash in the safe if you need any."

"How many cash stashes do you have?" She asked truly curious but also jokingly. It seemed every time she turned around, he was telling her where another hidden pile was.

"That's for me to know and you not to worry about," he told her switching boys so Harley could get dressed. "Besides, the three of you will always be taken care of and then some and that's all that matters."

By the time Happy loaded Barrett into the stroller, Harley was ready to go. Lexi went into the bathroom to change only to come out seeing Happy finishing propping up bottles for both boys. Lexi loved seeing how he was with the boys. It gave her a chance to see the side of him only she was allowed. Grabbing him his kutte she made her way across the room and wrapped her arms around his back once he had it on.

"Don't forget this visit isn't all about the club family okay? It's about your ma too."

Turning so he could hold her in his arms he kissed the top of her head, "I'll go see her when I'm ready. You be safe with the boys. I have to go call Lorca to see what we have for stock."

"Love you."

"Love you too Sweets," He told her dropping a kiss on both boys heads and walking out the door.

Lexi pulled on her shoes and checked she had everything she needed for the boys before opening the safe and shaking her head. Happy had at least 10k sitting in there like it was no big deal. Lexi grabbed a brick of twenties and threw them in her purse before leaving Happy's dorm. The last thing she was expecting coming out of the dorm hall was to be bombarded by a full frontal view of the prospect from the night before with his pants down and playing with himself.

"The fuck prospect?!" She question right as her father and a few others came into the club house shouting about it too.

"You best put that demented dick back in your pants before Happy catches you flashing Lex. He'll be likely to turn you into a full bitch for that one," Tig told him as he walked towards Lexi and kissing the top of her head. "Hey princess. Avert your eyes quick enough?"

"Sadly no. That image is going to be burned into my skull."

"Get lost prospect," Clay said walking to the bar.

The boy went stumbling towards the door while muttering sorry as if his life depended on it. Right as he reached the door, Happy reentered scaring him even more. Tig started to whoop and laugh next to Lexi making it even worse.

"What was that all about?" Happy asked going to grab a beer from the bar and walking over to his woman.

"Just Tig scaring the newbie," Lexi answered not wanting the prospect, whose name she didn't even know, at the wrath of the man in front of her.

"Hey, he was the one flashing his demented shit everywhere," Tig reasoned, shrugging his shoulders.

"He what?!" Happy growled.

"Don't matter right now. Get in church. Chibs, get Jax," her father said walking towards the chapel.

Lex took that as her cue to leave the clubhouse and go find her mother. Just as Happy had said she was in the office for the garage working on paperwork.

"Hey ma, I told J I'd check on Wendy. Think the boys could hang out with you while I run there? Hap doesn't want them leaving the compound."

"I'm always willing to watch my grandbabies," she told Lexi starting to coo at the boys. "I wouldn't waste my time on the bitch though. Your brother needs to sack up."

"It's fine ma, I offered. Thanks for keeping em here. It will be a quick trip so they should have enough gear in their diaper bag," She told her mother.

Before leaving kissing both boys and shooting a text to Bec about keeping her company while running an errand. Bec was quick to reply she'd be ready in 5. As she was walking across the lot to wait for Bec, the guys started coming out of the clubhouse. She made a beeline towards Happy as he sat with Tig on one of the picnic tables.

"Hey princess," Tig greeted as she joined them and nodded in greeting.

"What's your plan?" He asked her lighting up a cigarette while she sat on the bench between his legs. "Where's the boys?"

"Ma has em. She's doing paperwork anyways so she said she isn't leaving the compound. I'm waiting on Bec now to run to J's."

"Be careful. Wouldn't surprise me if she's strung," Tig warned.

"I know and I will."

Gemma chose that moment to walk across the lot pushing the boys in the stroller. She made a short stop to talk with Chibs and Jax as they directed the prospect on what to do with the tow that was just brought in. The group made it to the picnic table as Clay walked out the door and joined the group.

"Dinner at the house tomorrow. I'm going to get some steaks from the Germans." Gemma told them all. Looking to her husband she continued, "You know that new prospect don't eat meat? How do you think we can trust him if he doesn't eat meat?"

"Club business baby," Clay said kissing her forehead before leaning over to play with the boys. "Boys, let's roll."

"I gotta get going too. Be safe," Lexi said standing and kissing Happy.

"Always am," Happy told her.

Bec joined her as the boys rode out of the lot to go to their meets. As a young girl, she was nervous watching them leave when she knew something was happening. After all the years, she was still antsy watching it. Even moreso now that she watched the father of her children and love of her life riding out with the rest of her family.

The two women made the quick drive to her brother's home making small talk along the way. What they found when they got there was more than either was expecting. All the doors to the house were locked and Lexi realized the spare key she used to have no longer worked on the locks. Seeing Wendy's car in the drive, she knew the pregnant woman had to be there somewhere. As she looked through the kitchen window she saw the last thing she was expecting. Wendy was passed out on the floor with blood pooling around her. When Lexi and Bec's pounding on the doors didn't help, Lexi took a rock and broke the small window next to the back door to get inside with her.

Wendy's breathing was very shallow and her pulse was barely there. The girls quickly loaded her into the car and raced to the hospital. The whole time Lexi kept redialing her brother, father and Happy's numbers. She didn't know who was with who as they rode out but knew she needed someone. Finally as they approached the ER, Happy was finally the one to answer as the nurses immediately took Wendy back.

"The fuck is going on? Are you okay? Is it the boys?"

"I'm fine, they're fine. I need Jax. Wendy was passed out and bleeding everywhere. Meet us at St. Thomas?"

"Fuck, I have him here. I'll make sure we get there."

"Thanks babe. See you soon."

Lexi called Gemma once she knew the guys were on the way, to let her know Bec was headed back to the clubhouse so she could watch the boys. The last place Lexi wanted to be was at the hospital waiting to see the outcome of Wendy's most recent drug bender but her nephew was clearly in danger.
