"She hasn't come back yet!" Killian held the phone to his ear as he paced around his quarters, his jacket had already been discarded after he got back from the sheriff's office and his vest was loosely unbuttoned, shirt untucked from his jeans. He spoke to David hurriedly down the phone as the clock turned to 4:45AM and he hadn't heard a single word from either of the women that Nadri had left the ship with in the first place. "I'm sorry Charming, but Emma knows to drop a message." He had barely slept all night, he had dark rings that sank underneath his eyes and his hair was tussled from his hand constantly running through it.
He didn't want to come off as hot housing Nadri, he wanted her to grow in this new realm naturally with all its possibilities. Killian trusted her entirely, he wanted her to have a good night out with his closest friend but he wanted her to be safe too, he wanted the lines of communication to be open as much as they could be when didn't have a mobile yet. He just cared so deeply for Nadri and he didn't want anything bad to happen to her. He told her that he trusted her but the unthinkable just couldn't help but flood his mind.
"They're grown women, Hook. You need to trust Nadri." Killian sighed heavily, knowing how it sounded when he became protective over Nadri. "I guarantee you that Snow will come walking through that door soon, she's the responsible one out of all of them. They've just been letting their hair down. It's been a stressful few weeks."
"Maybe…" Killian exhaled again, looking out the ship window to see that the night sky was beginning to lighten. "Maybe she's just stayed at Emma's."
'That's better.'
He got a control of his mind and ran a hand over his face. Killian was knackered.
"I'll let you know if I hear something, Hook. Don't worry." Killian said goodbye to David and hung up on him, putting the phone down on his desk and he sat back in the leather chair behind it.
Killian hoped that she was settling in okay as much as she wanted to spend time with just him, something he was perfectly okay with, he just had to remember that she was okay. She wasn't going to run off and go off the rails, she was still finding her feet and she would probably been enticed by all the lights and people, maybe even harassing the people behind the bar for food.
He poured himself another glass of rum and he began to scroll through the phone, still getting used to the technology sitting in his hand, and came by a few pictures and a video on his timeline that were recently posted by Emma in the last hour or so. Killian fumbled with the device, trying to click on the video to turn it on and watched closely as he could see Emma's drunken smile as she turned the camera on herself and who looked like Regina, Nadri and Snow next to her. Nadri looked like she was having a great time, smiling and laughing with the other women.
"Here, here! Do these. Rainbow shots!" Emma's sang and held up what looked like a rainbow trifle shot to the camera. "Go!" Killian watched as they did three at a time and Snow got up suddenly and ran off from the bar, the camera showing that the others were in fits of laughter. Nadri was shaking her head with a gross expression as she tasted the shot. The video stopped and Killian scrolled through the pictures, seeing a picture of all of them that someone else had took from behind the bar, Nadri radiating her beautiful smile without forcing it.
The next picture was Nadri up at a pole platform.
A pole platform?
Killian looked closer and it was a picture of Nadri in the middle of spinning around the platform and you could see Regina cheering for her in the foreground. He could fully see her outfit here, a short leather skirt was short at the thighs and her top almost had her breasts spilling out. As gorgeous and hot that she looked to Killian, he felt this wave of jealously run through him at the thought of the men in the club staring at her especially dancing around a pole like that.
He couldn't bring himself to look at the rest of the photos, putting his phone face down and continued to drink the rest of the rum in his glass.
'I really need to sleep.'
The phone chimed suddenly, pulling Killian out of his sleepy thoughts and he scrambled to pick up his phone to place it against his ear.
"Charming?"
"I've just got a call from Henry, Nadri is at Regina's." Killian let out an external sigh of relief know that she was somewhere she was relatively safe. "Can I sleep now?"
"Sorry mate, yeah, thanks." David hung up pretty swiftly, Killian reaching for his coat from the back of his chair and downing the last swirl of dark liquid in his glass before leaving the ship.
Killian was met with Henry waiting impatiently in the doorway of his mansion, the kid half-awake from being rudely awoken by his mother and Nadri stumbling through the door in the early hours, shouting and drunken laughter also waking Zelena and baby Robin. The sun was already rising in the mist of the morning, Killian tried to give him and awkward smile but the teenager looked up at the pirate with a fed-up expression.
"Please tell me you're here to take her home." Killian scratched the back of his neck with his hook, giving Henry an apologetic look. "She's in the kitchen. They've been drinking, a lot!"
"Yeah I know mate." Killian muttered under his breath, unsure how to approach the situation when he had never experienced Nadri in a full intoxicated fashion. Henry led him through the large house that was still sporting its monotone, expensive black and white theme. The pirate was led into the open kitchen and could see Nadri at the dining table with what looked like an entire pint glass of Regina's appletini recipe. Regina was slumped beside her, hair a mess as she held the glass to her lips and could barely knock the drink back herself.
They were 'on another planet' kind of drunk.
"Oh it's Captain Guyliner." Regina mumbled behind her glass.
"O' Ruveyzun, my Ruveyzun!" Nadri boomed as she saw Killian enter the kitchen, leaning back in her chair almost to the point that Killian thought she was going to tip and fall arse-over-tit. "How did you know I was here, raaviir?" She slurred, trying to get up from the table and stumble towards Killian like a drunken baby Bambi trying to walk for the first time. Killian had never seen her like this, she was latched to him with an intoxicated smile. Her cheeks were red, she could barely bring together a coherent sentence and it was like the volume button was broken on how loud she was speaking.
"It's time for you to come home love, it's almost 5 in the morning."
"I like morning time!"
"She's okay here, I don't see why you need to spoil the fun rapier." Killian pressed his lips together at Regina naming him after a Spanish cutlass. In a way he was grateful that Regina and Nadri were getting on, even if they were plastered, they had spent a lot of time in bad blood and he was thankful that they were actually being friendly towards each other. He was lucky that Nadri hadn't come across Zelena yet, he could see her peeping her head around the room every now and then from the foyer near the staircase.
"Raaviir, you have to roll the vun…the tongue." Nadri snaked her arms around Killian's neck, dreamy eyes gazing over him. All he could smell was the fireball on her breath that was mixed with the apple laquer that she had been drinking. "Vis Zu'u brah dii vun nau hi, raaviir?" She purred flirtatiously and Killian's eyes widened, reddening almost as much as she was right now.
"Right!" He clapped. "Time to go, woman." Killian put an arm around her waist to help her back through the kitchen, Regina wining from her place at the table that he was spoiling their fun and received a thousand thank-yous from Henry when really Killian didn't want her to start spilling even more filth.
"B-But Killyyy…" Nadri pouted with her beautiful eyes and Killian had to keep his eyes from meeting hers, knowing that her puppy-dog expression would always pull at his heartstrings. "I was having fun."
"You've had more than enough fun tonight, love. You're wasted." Killian deadpanned, keeping a tight hold on her as she almost stumbled them over through Regina's front door. How Nadri was still in her heels was beyond Killian, he was surprised she hadn't broken an ankle yet.
"I danced on a pole, Killy!" She seemed elated with herself, smiling wildly.
"I know you did love, I saw the pictures."
"Did I look pretty?"
"You're always pretty, love."
The cold air hit her skin through the lack of clothing, beginning to shiver against Killian's body. He stopped them briefly to shrug his leather jacket off and wrapped it around Nadri before bringing her close again and walking them towards the docks.
The morning light grew more, dog walkers beginning to emerge from their houses and stopping with horrific stares as the pirate dragged the drunk woman back to the ship, Killian giving apologetic nods as he passed them.
"Killian…" There she went again.
"Yes darling?" Killian asked her, entertaining her as they went.
"Do you still love me?"
Oh.
She was one of those drunks.
"Of course I still love you, darling." Killian exhaled, trying to avoid the smile he was desperately trying not to show. She was an adorable drunk, she was lovable and amusing. "C'mon love, let's get home its freezing."
"Do you want to be my laas feliig?" Nadri questioned him, her tone serious, almost pulling him over as he had to keep wrestling with her to walk in a straight line.
"Your what now?" He snorted, seeing that the road towards the docks were coming in sight. It would have been an amusing sight for the dock workers to see Killian try and get Nadri into the ship the way she was.
"I don't know how you say it in the human tongue. Life partner." Killian knitted his eyebrows, looking down at the young-faced woman as she pronounced the words slowly. "True life partner." He smiled at her slurred mistake, knowing that she meant True Love partner.
"You want me to be your husband?" Killian questioned her again and she nodded wildly, looking up at him with a stupidly adoring grin. Killian knew the effects on what rum could do to a person, and Nadri had been drinking enough tonight to sink an entire ship. She could say anything she wanted to, spill her darkest secrets, but there was little chance she would remember it in the morning. "Darling, you have had a lot to drink. Tell me about it in the morning, hm?"
"I would swear our love by the Gods, Killian." Nadri continued on, ignoring Killian's words. "In front of Mara, I would swear my heart to you." She frowned at Killian's lack of enthusiasm, when underneath there was more than enthusiasm but she was on a completely different level to him right now.
He was with the love of his life right here and now, safe and alive. He wanted to parade their freedom and their love for each other. He wanted to enjoy every single waking moment with her.
He just didn't want to have such a serious conversation when she was half-cut.
"Killy!" She pulled back on Killian, freeing herself from his gentle grasp. Nadri could barely stand straight, almost falling over she stood up straight. Killian caught her by the waist, watching her heavy lids. "Do you not want a life with me?"
Killian could have kicked himself when he saw the tears well up in her eyes. Why did she have to be awkward when she was pissed?
"Love, I will marry you, when you are sober and compos mentis." Killian promised her as he cupped her chin for her to look at his charismatic smile that she had fell in love with. "One day at a time love. Don't get upset, please." He caressed her cheek and gave her a soft kiss on the forehead. "Let's go home." Killian nodded in the direction of the ship that was only a little further away.
"No I want to sleep." Nadri shook her head and Killian sighed, snatching her up bridal style. Nadri squealed as she was lifted up into the air, clutching onto Killian as he began to walk down to the docks. "Killian!"
"I want my bed too, love. This is the only way I'm going to get you to stop stalling."
Nadri woke up feeling the pain behind her eyes from the devastating hangover that the Gods had blessed her with. A pounding headache throbbed through her skull, she moved her hand in front of her eyes as it felt like her head was made of glass that had a raging crack running through it. The bedroom was hardly bright, the dusty curtains had been pulled across the windows so there was a small line of sunlight peering through onto the bed. Nadri let her eyes adjust, rubbing them as she slowly pieced together where she was.
The last thing she remembered was drinking in the loud building that Emma had convinced her to go into, she remembered drinking different concoctions of drinks and the last memory that sealed her fate was downing three trifle shots before going up on the dancing platform. Embarrassment immediately washed through her, putting her head in her hands.
She finally let loose as a human being and ended up making a complete fool of herself.
And somehow she managed to end up home in one piece.
"Gods." Nadri muttered out as she ran her hands over her face and felt the sticky residue from the foundation that Emma had painted on her face. She narrowed her eyes at it and then turned her head, seeing the foundation on the silk sheets. "Hinzaal." Nadri sighed regrettably and got up from the bed, stretching her body out and began to unzip the skirt and the top that she had slightly fallen out of.
Nadri stripped bare and walked towards the bathroom door that had been opened a jar and was met with the mirror on the wall that showed the massacre of eyeliner and mascara across her face. The sight made her gasp, unaware that she had managed to smudge it across her cheeks and the bridge of her nose. Straight away she turned the taps on to the tub and waited for the bath to run as she scrubbed at her face, trying to remove the makeup with a cloth.
"Nadri?" Nadri lifted her head mid-scrub, waiting to hear her pirate's footsteps wondering his office. "Nadri?" Killian's voice was suddenly heard in the bedroom, confused at her absence.
"I'm just going to get into the tub." Nadri continued washing her face, looking closely at the mirror to make sure she had wiped away all of the speckles of black.
"I've got something for your head, love. Many a night on the rum I know when too much is enough." Killian's chuckle was heard on the opposite of the bathroom door, not entering. Nadri rolled her eyes with a smile and leant over the porcelain bathtub, checking the water. She brought one leg over the tub and lowered herself into the hot water, letting out a pleasurable groan as the bubbles engulfed her body as she went down further.
"You can come in, Ruveyzun." Nadri sighed dazedly, pleased with the warm water washing off last night's antics. Her amethyst like eyes sparkled at the door as Killian popped his head around, being met with a gorgeous smile beneath his dark ginger beard that had begun to slowly grow out.
"You look a lot better than I thought you would, love." Killian grinned, coming into the bathroom with what Nadri hoped was a glass of water, and what looked like a couple of white tablets in his hand. "Emma said these will help your head. I was surprised to see that you'd left the bed." He chuckled lowly, lowering himself down to hand her the glass and the tablets. Nadri gave him a sweet, adoring smile, taking the medicine and she knocked it back with the water. She gave the glass back and he kissed her on the forehead before she got comfortable in the tub, the water and bubbles completely soothing her body.
"Was I that…bad?"
"You were something." Killian admitted sheepishly and Nadri brought her knees up to her chest, resting her head and let out a shy laugh. "I got you home, that's what matters."
"I think I did some things last night that may cause severe embarrassment, raaviir. I hardly remember anything. I'm sorry, Killian. I wasn't expecting- I just- I'm sorry. I don't think they'll be a next time that's for sure." Killian watched as she laughed, leaning herself back and he observed the awkward expression and her cheeks that were tinted pink.
"Nothing?" Killian repeated, swallowing hard. Nadri raised an eyebrow, moving her hand through the water to feel the bubbly residue between her fingers.
"I embarrassed you didn't I?" Nadri bit her plump lip, anxious.
"No, of course not love. I think Regina might have been worse." Killian brushed her off, Nadri still wary as she slid down into the tub, her curls beginning to sprawl out and flood underneath the water. He might have just been trying to spare her feelings.
"Where did you go?" Nadri looked up, sliding "You didn't leave a note." She washed over her face, still feeling her temples pounding.
"I went and got your favourite breakfast from Granny's." Killian shrugged with a smirk, full of himself on the perfect partner routine. He watched her face light up, staring up at him with wonder. "So, get yourself sorted, love. I'll make sure it stays warm. I might have afters for you."
"Can it be you?" Nadri gained a naughty twinkle in her eye as she watched the pirate walking away from her, hearing Killian laugh and shaking his head as he swaggered back through the bathroom door.
Nadri grinned to herself, feeling content and more than spoiled. Killian was a man that was happy to parade their love and his love language was doing things for her which she graciously and happily accepted. She didn't understand how she managed to get so lucky in this realm.
She finished getting herself freshened up, definitely feeling like now that the smell of alcohol and cigarette smoke was discarded from her body that she felt more human. Nadri got herself dressed in comfortable jogging bottoms and a tight fitting vest, slinging her bundle of curls up into a messy pony tail.
That was better.
She looked more like herself now.
Nadri crept out of the bedroom, her bare feet touching the polished wooden floorboards as she made her way towards the table that Killian was sitting at with what looked like a two takeaway cups full to the brim and two takeaway boxes that were revealed to be thick, fluffy pancakes that were absolutely drenched in golden syrup.
Nadri could have drooled.
But instead the lingering strong smell of coffee made her go green, bringing her hand up to her mouth and she ran straight back into the direction of the bathroom.
"That's what you get!" Killian chimed with a teasing tone as Nadri got to the toilet in time, heaving as she hugged it.
It was definitely going to be a while before she headed out with the girls again.
