SAM'S P.O.V.
After a 3 hours and 52 minutes flight. I arrived at Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport and I already called Maddie. Maddie told me , she Already asks Buck to get find some Breakfast outside the Hotel. Because Hotel service is so expensive
" Hello , Maddie, Good Morning. I just landed and I already got my luggage. I already book an Uber too." I says
"Hi! yay! Buck is about to leave. He is going to find us some breakfast. I told him Hotel Service is so expensive. So you can sneak out here in the hotel room. We are in room 304 at 3rd floor you can go to the lobby and tell them that you are visitor of Maddie Buckley. " Maddie replied
"Yay! Thanks Maddie! See you later. My Uber ride is already here. Bye!"
BUCK'S P.O.V
"Uhm Maddie why just don't we get a Hotel Service?" I asks
" no! it's expensive we don't have a luxury for that. " Maddie replied
As I am about to leave, I heard Maddie's phone ringing. She is seem so excited and happy.
' maybe it's one of his girlfriends she is talking too' I thought
"Buck! Buy a pancake for me and a 3 coffee. " Maddie says
" Why 3 ? We are only two here?" I asks
" oh. One of my friends is coming she will visit me today" Maddie replied
" I don't know that you have a friend here in New Orleans" I says
" She is in the town , work related. She just got a spare time to visit me today" Maddie answered
" Oh! Ok! See you later. I'll just go to Starbucks to get Coffee and Find some Pancakes and Pastry. Later! " I say
When I was in the Lobby , I saw a girl that looks like Samantha. 'It couldn't be her? Right?' I thought. I rub my eyes , and then look again to the direction of the girl. She's gone.
I shrug my shoulders and I whispered to myself ' You just missed her'. I chuckle. I continue to walk.
SAM'S P.O.V.
I got in the Hotel Entrance , and walked straight to the Reception Area.
"Hi, excuse me" I said to the Receptionist
"Yes ? What can I do for you Mam?" She replied
" I'm Samantha Rodriguez , I am a good friend and visitor of Maddie Buckley. She is check in here in one of your rooms Thanks" I says
"Oh! Yes Mam , wait for me I'll check the room and call if someone in the area."
" Okay thank you" I says
After of few minutes. The receptionist assist me to the Elevator.
"Mam this way. She's in 3rd floor 304 she is expecting you. Have a Good day!" She says
" Thankyou" I replied
When I got off on the Elevator . I went to the Room 304. I am so nervous. I don't know if Buck will forgive me? He wants me back? Or what? That's what my Mind thinking. I don't know what will I say to him. I take a deep breath before I rang the doorbell.
When the door open, I saw Maddie Smiling at me.
"HI! WELCOME TO NEW ORLEANS! HAHA. I missed you." She says
"I missed you too Mads! " I replied as we hug each other.
"You don't see Buck outside? Or bump into him in the Lobby?" She asks
" No. Why?"
"He just got out this room 5 mins before you came"
"Oh! No. Thank God it will ruin the surprise. I hope he will be happy to see me" I says
" He will! Trust me~ she says
"What happen that you came here? I thought you got a news what is it?"
"It's Savannah. I think she just want to go under my skin. She is Lying. " I replied
She gave me a cup of water while we seat on the Couch, I was telling her all the things that Amanda told me.
"No way. What it's on your mind? To get a proof that she doesn't have sex with my brother?" She can't believe what did I told her
"I don't know Maddie ? a text? A cctv footage ? a video? Just to tell her that she was lying. She just want Buck. I know she likes Buck. But She was not the typed of Buck wants for a girl. I know she was Jealous of me" I says
" First Time that I saw that Girl I don't really liked her. " She reply
" Yeah, me too"
"oh! Before I forgot I bought you a Birthday Gift yesterday" as she giving me a box wrapped with a color red wrapper and a ribbon
"You don't have too. But anyway Thank you" I kissed her on the cheeks and hug.
" I like you for my brother. I saw that he was changed and happy a lot. But when this problem started, I saw how devastated he was. That's why I'm so happy that Eddie Called me yesterday. And you text me asking about our details. My brother really loves you so much" She says as I blushed .
"Yeah, I know. I'm sorry that I left him hanging. But anyways I'm here. I will tell him everything . and I hope he will listen" I reply
While we are talking , my phone ring. Buck's name appeared
'It's Buck' I says
"Don't answer , let it to the voice mail" Maddie says
After it turned into a voice mail.
I shut my eyes close as I brought the bottom end of my phone to my ear, mentally preparing myself to hear his voice.
"Samantha." An ache grew in my chest at the way he said my name.
"Hi" I can picture him standing in a busy street in New Orleans, a hand in his pocket while he held his phone with his free one. I try to picture those brilliant blue eyes of his.
"Uh, I'm in New Orleans. In case anyone hasn't told you, not that I would think Eddie would've told you but" he clears his throat, getting slightly distracted from the reason for which he called.
"Anyways, yeah, I'm in this fascinating city, miles and miles away from home. Thinking about you." He continue
"I'm sorry for not being there on such a special day. I wasn't sure or even thought about how I could show up after everything that has happened but I've been doing a lot of thinking and.." he pauses. I grow more impatient the longer he stays silent.
"I miss you. A lot" he chuckles. "And I know we haven't had such great communication lately but I want to see you. I want to talk. I'll be here for another day and I'll be back home. If you're up to it, I would love to grab some coffee when I'm back in town..."
"Yes. Yes I want to talk to him and apologize for being so ignorant and childish and inconsiderate and so much more. For leaving his side when I should've stayed." I thought
"If you're up for it then give me a call. If not, I understand." Another small moment of silence.
"Happy Birthday Samantha, I love you" the voicemail ends.
"He say he loves me. I wish he were standing in front of me so I can touch him, hold him, kiss him. I hadn't realized just how much I had craved his presence, his warmth, his touch, his voice until this morning. Until he had to be miles and miles away from me." I says
" Hey! You already flew here don't be sad he will be here any minute" Maddie says
"I love him more than I could have imagined possible. I can't let Savannah and whatever plan she has come in between us. I already allowed myself to reach selfishly and turn away from him, because that is all I ever knew how to do. It is what I had learn to do after my relationship with Dylan ended. I allowed him to stomp all over me as his subject and not once let myself be selfish when it came to him." I continue
"Who's Dylan? Anyway Yes, Sweetie that's why you're here. Don't let that girl ruined / Take away Buck from you " Maddie Says
"My Ex But this is different. Evan is not Dylan, never will be. No one has ever made me feel the way Evan has. Like I am worthy of knowing real love. He has given me that much and I cannot let it slip by. I will not." I answered
I will try to call him back.
On the second ring, he picks up.
"Sam?" Evan says, surprised.
"Hi" is all I manage to say. I didn't think about what I was going to say to him when my fingers rushed to his contact and pressed the little phone icon.
"Hey" he says back. Clearly, we both haven't thought about what we would say if either one of us called each other.
"I listened to your voicemail, just finished listening to it actually." I wanted to slap myself for letting him know how quick I was to reach out to him but at the same, I really didn't care.
"Uh I. well" I fumble with my words.
"We should talk. I want to talk, about all of this and apologize for..." I hesitate.
"I'd rather tell you everything in person. Come home." I pace around the room, thumb between my teeth as I wait for him to say something, anything.
"Yeah, we should. I've been thinking about you like crazy" he breathes out a laugh.
"I'll come home to you."
Warmth radiates through my body.
"I fly in tomorrow morning. Does Sweet Cup sound good?" He asks me.
"Yes" I say.
"Awesome. Uh well then, I'll see you tomorrow morning then" I can hear the huge smile splitting his lips and vision him standing somewhere on a corner of a street, his head facing the ground.
"Yeah" My lips also tug into a wide smile.
"I'll see you tomorrow."
"Alright. I'll call you" "Evan" I whisper, knowing our phone call is coming to an end.
"Yeah?"
"I love you." I close my eyes as I say it, picturing his face in my mind.
"I love you too."
15 minutes after our call ended. Maddie is rushing to the front door. She is going outside so me and Buck can talk privately.
"Oh. Buck is in the Elevator already he texted me to open the door for him. I will go out for a while so the two of you can talk privately. I will be back before lunch. Good luck!" she gives her goodbye and hug me.
Non P.O.V.
Buck went back to the hotel; He went down to the elevator. As he walk through the 304-room door. He saw Maddie standing outside.
"Hey! Help me I have so many things on my hand" Buck says
Maddie help Buck to bring the Food in the Table.
"HMM Buck You have a visitor" Maddie says
"Huh? Who?" Buck asks
' I don't have any friends or know someone live here in New Orleans , who the hell will visit me?' Buck thought
"She's in the visitor's area. Go! I'll be going out for a while so the two of you can talk privately I'll be back before lunch"
"Wait? Did You say she? " Buck says in confused.
"Hi? Excuse me? Do I know you? My Sister told me you came for me – " Buck cut's off as he approach the visitor's area. He realize who visit him.
"Hello! Evan " Sam greet Evan
"Samantha? I thought you were in L.A.? You flew here? I just called you earlier" Buck asks
"HAHA. Surprise Yeah. I've missed you . You missed the party yesterday." Sam replied smiling faintly.
" Eddie told me that you are in New Orleans. And I realize that I really need to talk to you I can't wait for tomorrow" She says
" I've missed you too. Yeah, I thought you don't want me there and I see. You wearing the necklace I gave you huh? " Buck chuckle
"No! Silly! Iloveyou Evan. Why would I don't want you to be in my very special day? And yeah, you gave it to me It's very special for me. Thankyou I will treasure this necklace. I love it Evan. Listen about us. Can we talk about it?" Sam says
"Hmm Amanda and I are already in good terms" she continue
" OH! That's nice Sam. I'm happy for you. You are right We really should talk about it. " Buck reply
" Amanda talked to me. Yesterday. And She told me something" she says
"What is it?" Buck asks
"She told me some news. There's an 80% chance that Tyler is the father of Savannah's Baby" Sam answered
"What? How did it happen?" Buck ask
" Tyler told her that after the Gala that you and Savannah went to Manny's. And you are drunk so bad. And Savannah asks Tyler to help her bring you home" She answered
" and After that He left Savannah in your apartment. But after a couple of minutes / hour she called Tyler to fetch her. And they went to a hotel that night" Sam continue
"It still doesn't proof that you and Savannah didn't slept together. But there's a Chance that is not yours" she added
"Evan I'm sorry that I left you. I hope you understand. I was confused. Afraid that you are the father. I realize that I really Love you. It's unfair for you , to believe everything what she says , even there's no proof. I want us to get back together. I love you Evan"
" I know. I understand. Even we change the situation. I am in your shoes . Maybe I will feel the same way and act like that. I'm Sorry love you too. Sam! " Buck says
"So we, ok?" Sam asks
"Yeah. As long as you don't leave me again" Buck reply
"I won't. I believe you. I'm sorry I don't trust you at the first place" she says as she kisses buck's cheeks
"No. Worries. We are partners. I love you a lot Samantha. I won't do anything to ruined our relationship." Buck says as he hold Sam's hand and kissed it.
" I know. How do we proof that Savannah is a liar? " Sam Asks
" I don't know actually but Eddie advise me to watch the cctv footage of the hallway of my apartment building" buck answered
"Yeah. We can do that too. And I will ask Alex maybe he can remember anything too. Tyler remembered he is on shift that night. We can also confirmed the story to Tyler when we got back" Sam agreed
"I love you. We are partners we can do this." Buck says
"Love You too"
2hours before lunch while waiting for Maddie to be Back
Sam sighed loudly, glancing away from the TV and over at Buck. He was sitting on the other side of the couch completely engrossed in the movie the two of them were watching. Her feet were tucked under his thigh for warmth, but that wasn't quite satisfying enough for Sam.
She picked up a piece of popcorn from the bowl in front of her and flicked it at Buck. It hit him square in the cheek and he flinched, looking around in confusion. She sent another piece flying, this one bouncing off of the center of his forehead.
Realizing what was happening, he turned and looked at her only to find Sam smirking back at him.
"We're playing that game , huh?" he asked, eyebrows raised.
She nodded in response, her smile growing as she picked up an entire handful of popcorn and threw it at him. Without missing a beat he dove across the couch and landed directly on top of her. She squealed as his fingers began roaming lightly over her body, hitting all of her tickle spots.
"Okay, okay! Enough!" she managed to squeak out a couple minutes later, breathless.
Buck stopped tickling Sam but continued to hover over her , a concerned look passing over his face.
"You okay?" he asked.
"Yeah, I just wanted cuddles," she replied softly.
"Well then why didn't you just say so, you weirdo?" Buck laughed.
He adjusted the two of them so her back was pressed against his chest, legs intertwined. Reaching his arm across her hip he grabbed her hand and gave it a quick squeeze.
"I love you," he whispered into her ear.
"I love you too," She whispered back with a smile.
As Maddie came back from walking and Shopping in the Gift Store. She saw the two lovebirds tickling each other.
"Woah! I see that , you are Ok now?" Maddie says
"Hi! Maddie , How long you been there?"
" Just like 5minutes? Haha. You two don't notice me huh? You busy playing with each other. So we do celebrate?" Maddie replied
"Yeah! We do celebrate. How about we go to Mall and eat outside for lunch?" Buck says
"Yeah! Sounds Great!" The two girls replied in unison
As they walking to the Mall. Maddie told them she already booked a flight for them to go back in L..A.
"Gigi will be so happy , about us. And we have to be a match maker" Sam says
"Match maker?" Buck asks
"I saw Gigi and Eddie talking. At my party. I saw how they look at each other they seam's in love. I think they Don't know it yet" Sam says
"Oh! I think their cute together" Maddie says
As the night goes by, Sam , Maddie and Buck flew back to L.A.
