Fading memories
Chapter 33th
Special Agent Fornell Walked into the waiting room to see the NCIS agents waiting for news in his friend Leroy Jethro Gibbs. "So what happened?" he asked with a single tear falling down his face.
"Stabbed in the back by Alejandro Riveria. I am sorry this had to happen to your friend Agent Fornell?" Director Leon Vance needed to say with his emotions spilling over.
"I am angrier at Jethro for lying to me once we separated inside the warehouse before he was overwhelmed no doubt and taken to another location?" Tobias needed to say with his hand rubbing the back of his head.
"We were able to get to him in time with Gibss tracking device in his left arm to let us know his location." Vance had to say to him.
"God damn Riveria for doing this to Jethro?" he cried.
"Alejandrio Riveria is dead." R.E.A.C.T. team leader Katrina Law had to say with walking into the waiting room after giving her report to her superior officer back at NCIS.
"How?" Fornell commented.
"I shot him in the head first killing him before going for the chest and shoulder to watch his body fall to the ground," she responded with anger in her demeanor.
"Good for you." He should have been dead two years ago for when Jethro had thought that he had killed him at the Metro train station?"
"Well, he's dead now. I hope!" she made everyone think for a moment.
"Doctor Jimmy Palmer is going to be doing an autopsy to confirm it for the most part. He's going to be letting me know with all of the tests and autopsy on whether or not it was Riveria." Vance makes mention.
"I do sure hope so Director Vance that Riveria is dead? Because if he's not. There is a good chance that my friend Leroy Jethro Gibbs will be searching for the man for the rest of his life. And the death of his marriage with Loreile to divorcing him." Tobias takes a deep breath thinking about the ramifications.
"So we need to be sure that it is him after all. While making sure that Gibbs doesn't find out the complete truth." Vance said.
It was at this time that Doctor Sanchez along with Doctor Cyril Taft to talk with the group of friends from NCIS. "How is Gibbs doing doctors?" Director Leon Vance needed to know the truth about his friend.
"I am afraid it's not good at the moment. Even though we were able to repair the damage to the spine. Though there is going to be some paralysis for some time until the swelling goes down on his vertebrae section for where the blade entered. He's going to be needing a great deal of help with his mental state, and most of all therapy to get him to try and stand up and walk. Even though there are other options to work with depending on certain situations."
"And what situation is that Doctor Sanchez?" Vance asked the question.
"If his spine doesn't heal. We will then be able to use the Cell Regeneration Program to see whether it will be able to repair the damage done by the knife wound." Doctor Sanchez commented with needing to be sure of his facts.
"Has anybody bothered to call Gibbs wife Loreile?" Lt. James Brown had to ask the question this time.
"Mrs. Gibbs is going to be staying at the safe house that I ordered her to do. I don't need any more dead people in the process." Vance said to the group. "Doctor Sanchez thank you for the information on Gibbs. I just hope to god his mental state won't get any worst with this type of injury?"
"If it doesn't! Then we will have to call in Doctor Grace Confalone or any others?" he needed to say.
EVERGREEN SAFE HOUSE
Loreile had spoken with Madeline and the boys about their father. Even though weren't able to understand the situation.
However, Madeline knew that Loreile was painfully hurt having been told by Director Leon Vance to stay at the safe house away from any type of threat. She told Madeline that she was going to try and get some sleep and hopefully she will be feeling better. Though she is six months pregnant having been under a great deal of stress.
Moving out of the quarters to head on over to hers with Phineas asleep in the second bedroom. She had made sure he was okay considered just what had happened with his adopted parents.
She changed out of her clothing with checking herself in the mirror showing her belly ever-growing at leaps and bounds. She had been amazed at the first time she had met Leroy Jethro Gibbs at the SECNAV celebration four years ago with meeting him ever so handsome getting out of the hospital.
In the four years together they had produced three children with her husband wishing for a fourth. Even though she and her husband had been fighting on the subject. She doesn't wish to go through another pregnancy by tying her tubes so that she can't be able to get pregnant. So far she hasn't decided on the subject now that her husband is once again in the hospital.
Changing into her purple nightgown before brushing her long black locks. She headed for her bedroom with turning on the lights. She went to sit down on the edge of the bed pissed and angry. But she was going to try to sleep for the sake of her mental state and her family for the most part.
She was able to fall asleep finally after trying for the first 15 minutes. She was asleep...
DREAM SEQUENCE...
All she was able to see was the body on the ground. SHE WAS HAVING A HARD TIME TRYING TO SEE THE FACE OF THE BODY.
When she turned it over, shot in his head. But she SCREAMED! NO...She woke quickly knowing that t was a dream of her husband's face.
