Previous chapter: Bella - BPOV

We make our way to the living room and find the guys playing video games while Rose and Char are talking about fashion. They all look up as we enter the room, and Jasper says: "We're going out for a while. Bella needs to hunt." A sudden sound from outside has us all running to the backyard. I look worriedly at Jasper as Jane runs up to me at high speed and moves into my open arms as she yells: "Mom!"

Bella - BPOV

I relax slightly as Jasper sends me a wave of reassurance, but I can't stop myself from checking Jane for injuries. I sigh relieved as she gives me a big hug and says: "I'm fine, mom. We're all fine. There's someone I want you and dad to meet." I watch as Jane pulls back and turns to point in the direction of the forest. I smile as I see Alec, Bree, and Caius walking out of the trees, followed by Demetri, Felix, and a very handsome boy that looks very much like Bree.

Jane smiles brightly as she runs to his side and takes his hand before walking back to us. Jasper hugs me from behind and smiles as he leans down to whisper: "Our little family is expanding rapidly, pumpkin. Our little girl found her mate. The love that's radiating from Jane and the boy is the love of trues mates. It's just as with Alec and Bree."

I lean into Jasper's chest as I watch my children and their mates walk toward us. It's in that moment that I realize that I've got everything I've ever dreamed of, right here. I gently squeeze Jasper's hand as I try to find words to tell him how I feel. He kisses the top of my head and snickers as he whispers: "I know, pumpkin. I never thought that I could be this happy or that my life could be this perfect. You've given me everything I need to be happy for the rest of eternity. You're my salvation, darlin'. I love you so much, Bella."

Jasper purrs softly as I send him my love and devotion and say: "I love you too, Jasper. You're my present and my future. I will never love someone as much as I love you." The rest of my answer gets lost as Alec hugs me tightly and says: "I've missed you, mom." I hug him back and ruffle through his hair as I say: "I've missed you too, Alec. Did you find Bree's brother?"

Alec gives Bree a loving smile as he says: "Yes, we did, but I think this is Jane's story to tell. I don't want my sister to be mad at me for the next century, just because I stole her moment." Jane rolls her eyes at her brother and gives the boy next to her a reassuring smile as she says: "Mom and dad, I want you to meet Michael, Bree's twin brother, and my mate."

I pull Jane into my arms for another hug and say: "Oh sweetie, I'm so happy for you." Jasper plants a kiss on top of Jane's head and says: "Congratulations, sweetie. You deserve all the happiness in the world."

Jasper – JPOV

I smile as Jane throws herself in my arms, and I hug her tightly as she says: "Thank you, daddy. We need your help though." I raise my brow questioningly as I look at Michael. He seems in perfect control at the moment, and his eyes are still bright red. His lack of response to my scars reminds me of Bella's awakening. I turn to look at Jane and say: "Why would you need my help, Janie?"

Jane moves to Michael's side and takes his hand as she says: "Michael is gifted, and his gift resembles Master Aro's. But instead of seeing every thought you ever had, Michael sees your future. He can't drink from humans. Demetri brought back a man for his first feed. But when Michael touched him, he saw the man's future. He saw himself killing the man. Michael needed the blood so much that he tried to ignore the images in his head. But he refuses to feed like that from now on, which is understandable. Can you teach him how to feed from animals, dad?"

"Of course I will help him, sweetie. He is family, and we take care of our own." I smile as Bella steps forward to give the boy a motherly hug. He stiffens in her hold for a second but relaxes immediately as she whispers: "We'll teach you everything you need to know, Michael. You never have to experience that again."

Michael smiles shyly as Bella pulls back, and says: "Thank you very much, Mrs. Whitlock." Bella giggles as she walks back to my side and says: "Please call me mom, Michael. I'm not officially Mrs. Whitlock yet. The Major still has to make an honest woman out of me."

I growl softly as I pull my mate close against me and lean down to whisper in her ear: "I didn't hear you complaining last night." I know that Bella would be blushing if she were still human when Caius says: "Major, there are certain things I do not need to know about my daughter. Let's move inside to discuss Michael's training."

I nod and motion for everyone to move inside. Michael moves to walk next to Bella and says: "It will be a beautiful wedding, mom. You're going to be the most beautiful bride ever." I can see the venom tears pooling in her eyes as she pulls him close for another hug and says: "Thank you so much, sweetie."

Bella - BPOV

My heart would have skipped a beat if it were still beating. I can't wait to become Jasper's wife. I don't ask Michael for details, because knowing that I'll marry Jasper one day is more than enough. It will be the happiest day of my life, and I don't need a psychic to tell me that.

I smile as everyone gathers in our living room and move to sit on the couch with Alec and Jane on either side of me. Jasper moves to stand behind me and lays his hand on my shoulder. Caius graciously sits down in the chair in front of me and says: "Just promise me that I can walk you down the aisle, piccola." I smile widely and say: "Of course, papà."

Caius smiles at me and turns to look at Jasper, before saying: "Major, I already called my brothers and explained the situation. They agree that you are the perfect person to teach him how to live off animal blood. I'm sure that my daughter will want to help as well. Take all the time you need. There is no rush. In the meantime, we will find a way for him to keep feeding off animals once he moves to Volterra with Jane. How long will it take for him to get control over his thirst?"

Jasper squeezes my shoulder as he says: "Up until two weeks ago, I would have said, at least a year, but my mate proved me otherwise. We will have to see how fast he gets accustomed to our way of life."

Caius nods and says: "I want weekly status reports, Major. I can't stay away from Italy any longer. My presence is required there, and I would be lying if I said that I didn't miss my wife. We will be leaving tonight."

Caius gets interrupted by a loud sob from Jane, and I pull her close as I say: "What's wrong, sweetie?" Jane looks at me with tear-filled eyes and says: "I've just found him, mom. I don't want to go back to Italy. I can't leave him behind. It will kill me."

Caius shakes his head with a small smile on his lips and says: "When I said 'we', Jane, I meant Felix, Demetri, and myself. I know better than to separate a newly mated pair, and I know better than to separate you and Alec. You can all stay here if that's okay with your parents."

Jasper – JPOV

Bella turns to look at me with hope-filled eyes, and I lean down to place a kiss on her forehead as I say: "We would love to have you here with us; all four of you, besides your mother would kill me if I said 'no'."

Jane giggles as she leans her head against Michael's shoulder, and Alec gives Bella a quick hug before pulling Bree closer. Caius looks at the scene in front of him with a soft smile on his lips and says: "Very good. I expect that you escort them back to Volterra yourself, Major, when the time is right. Don't forget to bring my daughter along. I will be in enough trouble as is when Athenodora finds out that I didn't bring Bella to meet her."

"Of course, Caius, you can count on it."

Bella moves to hug her father as Jane and Alec say goodbye to Demetri and Felix. I walk to Bella's side and give Caius a hand as I say: "It was a pleasure as always, Master."

"It was indeed, Major. Take good care of my daughter. She means the world to me."

"She is my whole world, Master. I love her more than life itself. She will want for nothing."

Caius gives me a curt nod as he turns to Char and says: "Keep the Captain in line, Lieutenant, and don't be a stranger. I would love for the two of you to visit Volterra." Peter opens his mouth to react, but Char beats him to it and says: "Of course, Master. We might tag along when Jasper and Bella escort the kids back home. Give my regards to Athenodora."

Caius looks at Alec and Jane and says: "You are relieved from active duty until your return to Volterra. Make the most of your time here and take care of your mom." Jane and Alec bow their heads slightly and say: "We will, Master Caius. Thank you so much for this."

We all watch as Demetri, Felix, and Caius leave the room, and I sigh happily as Bella leans back against my chest. A large wave of pain and agitation draws my attention back to Michael. I kiss the top of Bella's head and move to stand next to Michael as I say: "You're showing a lot of restraint for a newborn, but I can feel that you're in pain. You need to feed. Let's go."

Bella stops me as I make my way to the door and says: "Do you want me to join you, Jasper?"

I shake my head as I pull her close for a soft kiss and say: "No, pumpkin, we'll be fine. Maybe you and Char can figure out where the twins are going to stay?"

Bella - BPOV

I gasp for unneeded air as I realize that Jasper is right. We don't have rooms for the twins. Oh my god, how are we going to fix that?
