Ianto tasted the liquid in the wine glass and made a noise of delight, hiding the grimace as Jack did the same with his. Jack choked out "Raspberry and… black current? Lovely, good mixture there."

"And a little splash of lemonade" Pip said pompously as he adjusted the little bow tie and cleared his throat "And are the misters ready to order?"

Jack lifted the menu that was written in crayon like he had a choice in the two things written down, humming. Across the room Marcus was reading his own menu as Walter asked for another glass as this one was dirty.

"No, I kissed it with lippystick on from Aunty Babs" Maisey rolled her eyes "It's my lips so you can kiss me when you drink."

"Riiiiight. How silly of me" Walter said as he turned the glass so each sip would touch the lipstick stain. Maisey beaming as she turned to give Grace a thumbs up.

"Shame Babs and Bethy begged off with the twins" Curtis said in a low tone "I will make them pay for this, maybe next time they have a pool party the kids can come help them entertain."

"what a nifty idea old man" Captain Kitty Hawk said, seating with them this evening as he knew he needed to spend more time with his constitu…er… people. The fact he was in full tuxedo and tails not lost on anyone, least of all Ianto who was careful not to glare at Jack for yet again purchasing something expensive the child would use once or twice.

"Right" Jack said as he sat back "I've decided Garson."

"Good. Good. " Pip rolled back in the balls of his feet and pulled the rainbow pen from behind his ear and the little pad from his pocket with cat paw prints on each page "Go ahead sir."

"I really like the look of the meal but I would like bananas on my toast instead of tomato … ah… any chance I can have those cut in circles… not lengths? If that is not too rude to ask the chef." Jack asked.

Pip took a step back and screamed hoarsely "CHEF HE WANTS THE BANANAS CUT WRONG!"

"Bloody hell" came the faint reply as Ben appeared in the doorway "Barbarians!"

He disappeared again as Ianto hid his giggling behind a menu and motioned the 'waiter' "excuse me. I would like the jelly."

"But that is for afters. You want afters BEFORE the meal?" Pip was aghast.

"Yes… and I want the soup too." Ianto said with wide eyes as Marcus and Walter stopped talking to listen.

"Me too" Fen called from his table by the ranch sliders, his hand firmly clamped in Sam's as they tried to look romanticised for the kids, their glasses full of what looked like a white wine but was apple juice.

"Oh my god. Grownups always change the rules?" Pip asked, looking around the room "Did you hear that? When we are not around they have desert first!"

"Sometimes for breakfast" Jack said and the kids all started taking amongst themselves so Jack took a knife and banged the glass repeatedly yelling for service.

"Oh I don't know Cariad, I like the family vibe and the personal touch to the place. Definitely five stars from me" Ianto said with a giggle and the service resumed.

Ton appearing with Jack's toast to tell him the Chef would not bring it out himself as he was to insulted by the demands made at this table.

Hawk taking the time to thank everyone for coming and to drive home safe before he got in the CKH car to drive from the room to the staircase and get out, leaving it there to head up to bed.

An interesting Date Night had by all adult in the room.
