Sonny's POV

3 Days later, Kenickie hid us in his trunk and we arrived at the drive-in and saw Kenickie open the trunk.

"Move your butt Putz." I say to Putzie.

Then Putzie stood up.

"Ok, let's find the girls." Kenickie said as he shuts his trunk and we walked off and saw three of the Pink Ladies pulling up in Frenchy's car with Marty driving it. "Alright, I'mma find Rizzo, Kay boys." Kenickie said.

"Ok Kenickie!" Doody said.

We walked over to the girls.

"Hey, what's happening." Doody said.

I smiled at Marty.

"There's nobody's here." Marty said walking away, not looking at me.

They looked over at me with sad looks.

"I'm gonna go catch up to her." I said running off. "Hey Marty, wait up!"

I stopped by where Kenickie was.

"She's still playing hard to get." I said.

"Sonny my boy, forget her." Kenickie told her.

I let out a sigh.

"Kenickie…" I started.

"No Sonny, I mean it." He said. "I am not liking the way that chick is treating ya."

"I'll be fine, I promise." I said.

"Alright." He said.

Then I ran off.

"Hey Marty, wait up!" I called out.

I ran up to the popcorns and pop stand where Marty was.

"Hey, let me pay for that." I offered.

Again, she didn't respond.

"C'mon Marty." I begged. "I can be a great guy for ya."

"Get real." She laughed.

I saw her walked off after the guy gave her, her pop.

"How many?" I heard the guy ask.

"Just give me two popcorns and two coke." I said.

I waited for my order and tipped the man, I looked over to see Marty and Rizzo talking, looking like they were upset about something, so I tapped on Marty's shoulder to ask.

"Hey, Marty, what's up?" I asked.

"Rizzo's pregnant. Don't tell anybody." She whispered.

Rizzo's…pregnant?! Dang! So I just walked off, cooly.

"Hey, Rizzo's got a bun in the oven." I said to the car next over.

I walked to Frenchy's car.

"Here ya go." I said.

Doody grabs it from me.

"Jeez, thanks man." Doody said.

"No luck huh?" Putzie asked.

"Nope." All I said.

"Oh Sonny, I'm so sorry." Jan said.

"Yeah. Is there anything we can do?" Frenchy asked.

I chuckled a little.

"Nah, I'll be fine." I told her. "Don't worry."

"Just hang in there dude." Doody said.

"Thanks kid." I said. "I'll see you fellas tomorrow."

"You're going home?" Putzie asked.

"Sonny, you're more than welcome to sit with us." Jan said.

I smiled.

"Thanks Jan, but I'm good." I winked. "Bye kids."

"Bye." The girls said.

"See ya." I heard Doody said.

I walked away from the car to see Kenickie at the entrance of the drive-in, shaking and kicking the gate. Uh oh, Kenicks and Rizzo must've had another spat.

"Kenickie!" I called out as I ran over to him.

I knew he was crying, cause I seen him quickly wiped his eyes.

"Hey, you alright?" I asked.

He just lets out a sigh.

"You and Rizzo had a fight?" I asks.

"No, she's just…" He started as he gave the gate one last smack. "How about you Sonny? Anything?"

"No." I answers, as I shook my head. "Like always. Ignoring me like I don't even exist." I added.

"Ya know what, that's it!" He started. "I've had it when these kind of chicks, EPICALLY the Pink Ladies."

"Kenickie." I said.

"No, I'mma give that girl a piece of my mind for rejecting my boy!" He said.

"No, Kenickie please." I begged. "It's…it's fine."

He let out a sigh as he leaned on the gate.

"Kenickie…" I started. "Am I'm…really that bad?"

He looked over at me.

"Is that why chicks always reject me?" I asked.

"No you're not my boy." Kenickie told me, putting an comfort hand on my shoulder. "C'mon, let's go get my car and have a bros' night."

We walked back in the drive-in to get in Kenickie car and we drove off, to have a bros' night just the two of us. We drove to a bar, of course we drank our pains away. To be honest, I'm done! I am DONE chasing after Marty.

"Kenickie," I started. "I'm done."

"Huh?" He asked.

He was drunk now.

"I'm done chasing after Marty." I told him.

"That's my boy." He said.

A little after awhile, I realize it was getting late and of course Kenickie was now flat out drunk, so I drove him home and we parked in the driveway.

"Ok Kenickie, we're home." I told him.

"I don't hear yelling." He said and I let out a sigh.

"C'mon, let's get ya into bed bro." I said helping him out of the car and I draped his arm around my neck. "Ok dude, you're gonna have to help me walk."

"You're walking ok." He giggled.

"Nevermind." I said as we made it to the front porch and walked inside.

"Oh boys, you both are ok." Mrs. Murdoch said hugging us.

"Are you kids alright?" Mr. Murdoch asked me.

"I'm surprise you both ain't fighting." Kenickie said.

He walked to the stairs and plop down on the stairstep.

"Um I'm just…gonna put him in bed." I offer as I help Kenickie up. "Ok, let's go buddy." I said as walked up the stairs.

We made it to Kenickie's room.

"Ok," I said as Kenickie sat on the floor. "Um dude, that's not your bed."

"You're telling me. Something's feel hard as a rock." He said.

I let out a sigh.

"That's because you're on the floor." I said as he stood up, tipping over a little. "Get your PJ on, ok."

I walked out of his room to let him change.

"How is he?" Mr. Murdoch asked.

"Heartbroken." I told him. "Rizzo must've said something to really upset him."

"Oh, my poor baby." Mrs. Murdoch said.

"I'm done." I heard Kenickie slurred his words a little.

I walked inside and shut the door, a half-way.

"Sonny," He started. "Is it my fault?" I looked at him confused.

"Huh?" I asked. "Why would you say that?"

"Because my folks fights all the time." Kenickie said. "Was it my fault that I was born?" He asked as I heard Aunt Kathleen "Oh" sadly and quietly.

"No, Kenickie." I told him. "It's not."

"Then why do they f-fight all the t-time?" He asked. "It has to be me."

"No it's not, Kenickie." I said. "I promise."

"I just…I can't take it anymore." He admits. "My folks, Rizzo…everything…I can't do it anymore Sonny, I'm broken." I felt my heart break for my best friend, the man who I idolized ever since I was freakin' 2 years old!

"Forget Rizzo." I told him. "She don't deserve you." He looks at me. "You deserve a lot better….just like I deserve better." I said.

He lets out a sigh.

"Let's make a pack." I said.

"I-I'm-I'm l-listening…" Kenickie said staring at me wide eyes, ok he is SO FLAT OUT drunk!

"We'll find better chicks to be with, chicks who are super sweet and down to earth." I said. "Like Sandy, Jan and Frenchy."

"Boy ain't they lucky." Kenickie said.

"Kenickie…please." I said.

"Alright, I promise." He said before giggling.

"Ok, come on." I said laying him down on his bed. "Go to bed." I threw the covers on him. "I'll see ya in the morning, alright."

"Y-you-you're a-a great buddy, S-Sonny-B-boy." He said.

"I know." I smiled.

I watched him close his eyes.

"Sleep well bro." I said quietly.

I walked out of his room and shutting the door quietly to see his folks standing there looking really guilty.

"You heard?" I asked.

They sadly nodded.

"Oh honey, we're horrible parents." Mrs. Murdoch cried in Mr. Murdoch's arms.

I felt my heart break for my Uncle and Aunt.

"You both are not." I said. "But I gotta be straight with you Aunt Kathleen and Uncle Kayden…I love you guys, but your fights had made Kenickie and Katelyn's lives kind of…miserable." I admitted.

"We feel so bad." Mr. Murdoch said. "We've never meant to make them miserable." He adds.

"I know, but…they probably don't. Epically Kenickie." I told them.

"Is there anything we can do?" Mrs. Murdoch asked me.

"Well…when we were 10, Kenickie did brought a Marriage Counseling Brochure." I told them.

"Why haven't he tell us?" She asled me.

"He was scared." I admitted. "He was scared that if he showed it ya, it'll make your marriage much worse."

"Oh my poor baby!" Mrs. Murdoch cried.

"Anything else?" Mr. Murdoch asked me.

"Well a few months ago he came over to stay for a week with me, he did cried the first night while trying to sleep." I said.

"My boy." He said sadly. "Thank you Sonny…for showing us what we were doing to each other…and to our kids." I smiled at them.

"Hey, you guys are family. So whenever the guys are in pain, I'm in pain." I said.

Mrs. Murdoch hugged me as I hugged her back.

"Well I've better get going on home." I said. "I promise Kenickie, I'll see him in the morning." I added.

"Thank you…Sonny." Mr. Murdoch smiled.

"No problem." I smiled.

I gave them one last hug before leaving and went on home, to go to sleep. The next day I got dress and went on over to Kenickie's house, Mrs. Murdoch let me in and I walked up the stairs to Kenickie's room to see him waking up.

"Ugh." He groaned. "What the hell happened?"

"Hey buddy, how are you feeling?" I asked softly.

He put his hand over his eyes, holding his head as probably feeling the throbbing pain in his head as he moaned a little.

"What happened?" He asked quietly.

I sat down on his bed.

"You got super drunk and I took you home." I told him.

"Did my folks see or no?" He asked.

"Yes they did." I said.

He let out a sigh of frustrated.

"But it's a good thing they did though." I told him.

He looked at me confused as we saw his folks walking in.

"Hey kiddo." Mr. Murdoch said as Mrs. Murdoch set a cup of coffee on his nightstand. "How are you feeling?"

"Well I have a headache." He replied making me chuckled quietly.

"Oh baby, we're so sorry." Mrs. Murdoch cried as she held him in his arms.

I saw the confused look on his face.

"Ok, what is going on?" He asked as Mrs. Murdoch lets go of him.

"After Sonny brought you home, we listened on you and Sonny as he was trying to get you to bed…and you told him everything how you were feeling." Mr. Murdoch said.

"Oh." He quietly mutters.

"But what broke our hearts when you said that you blame yourself for being born because you thought you were the reason why we fight all the time." Mrs. Murdoch finished as she kissed his forehead as he looked down.

"I'll be downstairs." I said leaving the room.

I walked downstairs to get a drink of water, I waited for a couple of minutes until I walked up the stairs and quietly waited by the crack of the door to listen.

"Yeah, we don't blame you kids if you don't forgive us." Mr. Murdoch said.

"Why would you say that?" I heard Kenickie asked. "Mom, dad, I'll always forgive you cause you're my parents…me and Katelyn love you guys so much."

"We love you too, boy." Mr. Murdoch said.

That was just so beautiful!

"So when will you guys start?" Kenickie asked.

"Monday at 5pm." Mrs. Murdoch answers.

"Good." Kenickie said.

Then I let out a sniffle. DANG IT LATIERRI!

"Get in here LaTierri." I heard Kenickie called out.

So I slowly came in, trying to look cool.

"I was…I was just…checking in." I lied. "Not crying."

"Thank you Martin." Mrs. Murdoch said giving me a kiss on the cheek.

"It's no problem Aunt Kathleen." I said. "Anything for my family."

They smiled at me.

"We're gonna spend a day together." Mrs. Murdoch said to us.

Mr. and Mrs. Murdoch both smiled at each other.

"So we'll be home late." Mr. Murdoch winked making Kenickie laughed.

"Dear, not in front of the boys." Mrs. Murdoch says as Kenickie looked over at me as I chuckled. "Alright, we'll see you boys later."

"Bye." Kenickie waved.

"Right this way m'lady." Mr. Murdoch said to Mrs. Murdoch.

"Why thank you, you kind gentleman." Mrs. Murdoch smiled.

We smiled as they walked out of the room.

"Sonny," Kenickie started as I looked over at him. "Thanks." I pat his arms.

"Anytime bro." I smiled.

We hugged, I know we're greasers but like I mention we're all like brothers.
