In the midst of the battle, BlitzGreymon and CresGarurumon found themselves back to back as they fought the spectral versions of WarGreymon and MetalGarurumon, the Biomerged Digimon quickly taking care of the duo, slicing their way straight through their foes, only to see more spectral forms coming their way.
"Tai, we need to..." Matt started to say through CresGarurumon, only for both Digimon to quickly move as bolts of black lightning came crashing down where they were just standing, both looking nervously to see the Witch Queen land before them with a dark smirk.
"Well, well, looks like I get to kill both of you all over again." Dark Kari said with a growing wickedness, unnerving the two Digimon, who were both used to the kind, sweet Kari they knew, before the Witch Queen added. "So, who first? The blond loser, or my dear, big brother?"
Frustrated at seeing another version of his sibling acting so cruel, BliztGreymon took a brief step forward, before finding his path blocked as CresGarurumon put his arm out.
"Tai, I know the pain you're feeling, but you have to remember, this Kari chose the darkness long ago. We cannot save her." The Digimon of Friendship said, hating to say such a thing, but knew the truth in his words.
Fortunately, before either could act, let alone the Witch Queen, Dark Kari quickly turned her head up, her dark smirk growing as she then said. "Oh well, looks like your deaths will have to wait. They're here."
In that moment, a pair of lights came crashing down towards Dark Kari, who held out her hand as a dark barrier formed before her, while both Davis and Kari, in their ascended forms, slammed their firsts against the barrier, trying to push through, while also sending out a shockwave that nearly sent BlitzGreymon and CresGarurumon flying back.
Sensing the presence of her partner, Angewomon turned, ready to fly down and help her partner, only for a familiar voice to cry out. "Black Arrow!"
Dodging the attack from behind, finding a black bolt of dark energy shooting past her, Angewomon turned to see her own dark counterpart smirking at her, the sight of which only infuriated the angelic Digimon.
"Well look what the cat dragged in." The corrupt Angewomon teased, keeping her dark smile as she looked over her pure counterpart, before commenting. "Do you know how foolish you look to me? If you had any smarts, you'd be like me and embrace the darkness."
"Let me guess, you're just another shadow, like BlackVeemon?" Angewomon questioned, ignoring the comments of the fallen angel Digimon, before a great feeling of shock and dread filled Angewomon as her double's smirk grew and she shook her head.
"Oh no, unlike the Dark King's partner, I followed my Kari, no matter what. So if that means being as evil as Myotismon and causing suffering, then so be it." Dark Angewomon replied, her words infuriating her counterpart even more as she added, expressing a dark smile to Angewomon. "Besides, it wasn't all bad, serving that fanged freak. After accepting my darkness, I realized I liked it. The power over others, the will to destroy, bringing misery, it all feels so good. And I know that deep down, you too share that feeling."
"You're wrong!" Angewomon let out as she shook her head, refusing to believe she had anything in common with this corrupt version of her, before bringing her arm out as she cried out. "Celestial Arrow!"
Letting out a dark laugh to the attack, but neamley to seeing her words getting into Angewomon's head, Dark Angewomon easily dodged the blast, before rushing at her counterpart, delivering a swift kick to Angewomon's stomach, sending her flying back, where she regained her composure, launching herself back at her double as the two began fighting.
From the sight, to see her Angewomon now conflicting with Angewomon, the Witch Queen gave a fair chuckle to the sight, before turning her focus back upon her enemies, where she let out a great burst of dark energy, sending Davis and Kari back a few feet, where the Ascended looked at her as she smirked back at them wickedly.
"I would ask you to surrender peacefully, but I know that isn't an option for you." Kari said as her crystal blades flew closer to her, where her counterpart's smirk just grew.
"Glad to see we're on the same page." Dark Kari commented, before looking at Davis and adding. "Sorry, handsome, but this will be for your own good."
Bringing her staff forward and swiping it before her, the Witch Queen let out an arc wave of dark energy at the pair, who quickly moved to the air, dodging the attack as Dark Kari took off after them.
"You might have the power of the Ascended, but the power of Ahriman flows through me!" Dark Kari cried out with a furthered might, her body glowing with a dark aura as her eyes turned red, where the dark energy turned into four snake-like tendrils with dragon heads, unleashing blasts of dark energy at Davis and Kari, who dodged the onslaught of blasts, occasionally looking down to see the blasts which she and Davis had avoided striking below and wiping out large groups of the spectral forces in the process.
Though seeing the numbers against them slowly dwindling, concern filled Davis and Kari, seeing the lack of care the Witch Queen held for her supposed allies, which grew as the blasts continued to rain down and closer to their friends and loved ones.
"You cannot stop this... none of you can!" Ahriman's voice rang out from Dark Kari, who laughed even more viciously, launching herself at the pair and slammed her foot into Davis' chest, while swinging her staff at Kari, causing Davis to go crashing to the ground, while Kari using her blades to quickly make a barrier, groaning as the staff collided with her protection, feeling the power coursing through it.
"You can fight all you want, but that power won't save you, not from me, and not from what's coming!" The Witch Queen yelled as she put more energy into her attack, breaking the barrier and sending Kari flying as she cried, only for Davis to catch her, the pair ready to continue their fight, refusing to accept defeat from Kari's corrupted counterpart.
-Meanwhile-
"Strike of the Seven Stars!" Seraphimon declared, expressing his might within his voice as he sent the seven energy orbs at Dark TK, only to see the corrupt Digidestined of Hope easily dodge the collected attacks.
Making a counterattack, Dark TK shot ahead, slamming his fist into Seraphimon's face, the pain and impact sending him flying backwards, almost crashing into the pulsating energy coming from the Spire.
"Serpahimon! Hold on!" TK called toward the Digimon of Hope, worried about his partner, while shocked by the power and dark energy his counterpart seemed to have.
"TK, do you read me?" Samspon suddenly called out through the comm links, the familiar voice causing TK to activate his communicator and say in reply. "Yes, I'm here."
"We've been scanning his power, and we think he's an advanced Bio-Hybrid." Miki then told TK, expressing a seriousness in her voice as she looked over the data pouring in upon her monitors.
"A what?" TK asked in confusion, not entirely sure what Miki was talking about, where Sampson continued and said. "It means his body was combined with the Data of a Digimon, where in this case, his seems to allow him to use that Digimon's abilities in human form, and probably can change into the Digimon's form at will."
Nodding as he now understood the DATS Commander's words, TK then narrowed his eyes as he added. "I think I know what Digimon he's fused with."
"It seems I have no need to hide it anymore." Dark TK then said, catching TK's attention, who quickly moved as Seraphimon came flying at him, landing with a cry as TK moved to check on his partner, while his counterpart looked back at them with a smirk.
"I think it's time you see what you could have become." The Dark Digidestined declared with a smirk, before his entire being was engulfed in a dark miasma, growing in size and reshaping itself, before turning into a form that terrified both TK and Seraphimon.
Standing high above his enemies, TK and Seraphimon were astonished at what the dark version of TK had become, seeing the fallen Digidestined of Hope had taken on a far greater and demonic form of Devimon's.
Though the dark form retained aspects of Devimon, this included his demonic horns, pitch black wings and the Mark of Evil on his chest, looking upon the corrupt Digidestined's face, TK and Seraphimon could see the malice, the fury and the madness the dark form now held.
Fear filling them, TK and Seraphimon backed away, looking to the demonic Digimon with a growing dread, fear and despair.
"Behold Devimon's final form, DoneDevimon!" The new creature declared as it continued to stare down the Digidestined and Digimon of Hope, the pair noticing its voice not matching its persona, seeing the creature continuing to express a growing madness, while the voice they heard seemed to enter their minds.
"I told you before, it doesn't matter what you do, in the end, we will all be consumed by Darkness!" Dark TK said through DoneDevimon's form as a growing dark misama emerged from his back, forming a pair of massive fists, looking ready to strike at the two, and finish them off for good.

"Mega Barrage!"
"Burst Shot!"
The calls of MegaGargomon and BlackMegaGargomon were heard as loud explosions filled the area, their missiles and heavy artillery bombarding throughout the battleground, the attacks colliding with each other and cancelling one another out.
Covering his eyes from the latest uproar of dust and debris, BlackMegaGargomon was then shocked as his counterpart emerged from the cloud before him, his right fist raised high.
"Power Pummel!" MegaGargomon bellowed, slamming his fist clean into BlackMegaGargomon's face and knocking him back, crashing to his back with a pain filled groan.
Despite the pain they shared, BlackTerriermon remained concerned from within their shared link, hating the position they were forced in, wishing he could protect his Henry from any further harm.
From his position, MegaGargomon had a clear shot at BlackMegaGargomon, but feeling a similar pain to BlackTerriermon's, Henry and Terriermon lowered their offences.
"Enough of this, I don't want to hurt you anymore!" MegaGargomon said in a serious tone, holding out his hand to help his double up, only for BlackMegaGargomon to swat his hand aside.
"We don't get to choose who we hurt or who we save, so stop trying to make things right!" The other Henry yelled through Biomerged form, getting to his feet as he prepared to strike again, only to stop and look as a blade appeared between him and MegaGargomon, causing the pair to see Kaduchimon looking at BlackMegaGargomon with a serious tone.
"You claim to fight for evil, but I can sense the truth within your heart. Neither of you desire this, and your heart is too pure to let the darkness claim you." The Deity Digimon said, causing the anger within Dark Henry to grow, tired at hearing others say what he is when they have no idea the pain he has caused.
"Enough!" Dark Henry yelled as he tried to move BlackMegaGargomon's fist to strike, only to find he couldn't control it, and he knew why.
"Henry, stop! Please!" BlackTerriermon screamed through their link, and for the pained cry to be enough for his partner to stop his anger, feeling the rabbit-like Digimon now clinging tightly to his Tamer's form, trying to hold him back.
"Please, stop this... this isn't you... it wasn't you, it was me... I'm the one who should be blamed, not you...!" BlackTerriermon let out in pain, having had enough of his Henry blaming himself for what happened to their Takato, Rika and their partners, while his partner found he was at a loss for the first time in a long time.
However, before he could think further on the position he was in, MegaGargomon tackled him to the ground, causing Dark Henry to think his counterpart was attacking them, before a massive explosion enveloped them all.
Opening his eyes a moment later, Dark Henry found himself on his back, groaning as pain coursed through his body, before looking to see BlackTerriermon next to him, while not too far off, their counterparts were also back in their normal forms, Azumi looking them over as Kaduchimon seemed to be blocking a dark energy blast.
Looking in the direction of the blast, Dark Henry widened his eyes to see that it was the Witch Queen who had set her attacks upon them, both expressing her annoyance with his hesitance, and seeing a chance to strike at her foes, regardless if her 'allies' were in the way.
'She... no, they turned on us..." Dark Henry thought as he struggled to get up, scooping up BlackTerriermon as he tried stumbling away from the field.
But as he rounded the corner of the rock face nearby, holding BlackTerriermon close in his arms, the fallen Tamer felt someone grab him and BlackTerriermon, pulling them to the side, where he was surprised to see Dark Hawk, of all people, staring him down.
"Look, we don't have many allies, so you can either go back to them and get wind up being killed, go with the others and wait for them all to die, or come with me and Stryker." Dark Hawk said, expressing a seriousness in her tone, surprising Dark Henry to see the purple haired assassin seemingly offering her assistance.
Thinking for a moment, Dark Henry nodded his head, there he took one last look at the battlefield, unsure how things would end, but found he wanted no part in it anymore as he followed his temporary ally away.
Back on the battlefield, Davis and Kari redoubled their efforts in their battle against/to battle the Witch Queen, especially after seeing her try and strike at MegaGargomon during his battle, while close by, Sakuyamon and her counterpart continued to battle, with the shaman Digimon surprised at how powerful her dark double was.
"Seriously, did my TK tell you anything about me? Otherwise I don't think you would have been stupid enough to take me by yourself, or at least would have run away." DarkSakuyamon remarked, laughing as her counterpart growled at her, where the dark Digimon then added. "I have been reforged, twice, by the Dark Ones, made into their great champion, and have been given the power over death itself!"
With her declaration, dozens of dark spirits began swarming around DarkSakuyamon, along with a large number of the spectral Digimon and Appmon, coming together and forming a spectral construct around the dark Digimon, shocking her double and causing fear to fill Rika and Renamon as they looked up, seeing a massive ghostly serpent, with misty, skeletal wings and several heads, looking down at her with a shriek of rage, while at its centre, DarkSakuyamon laughed wickedly.
"I failed once against my counterpart from a different world, I will not fail again! I'll tear you apart and bring you Davis and his wretched Kari to the Dark Ones, even if I have to destroy this world myself!" DarkSakuyamon declared, her spectral construct letting out a dark roar, while Sakuyamon prepared herself for what could be the toughest battle of her life.
