Thank you so much Leann Nickerson, Angels-heart1 and carmengmtr for all the feedback and support! Okay so this is my take on The Gamblers and again shout out to Supernatural Wiki Transcripts. This site is so useful and is literally saving me.
Okay so I didn't focus too much on the boys...they basically bookend this episode for me and this is more about Jo not only figuring out what she wants to do with her life but also jumping into hunting more and what a better way to do this than to go with Cas to follow the lead that reunites Jack with his family.
Author's notes at the end. I hope people enjoy this part!
Thank you again!

Chapter 33
Sam came out of the supermarket they had stopped at to restock their food for the next leg of their journey.
He had wanted to give Dean some privacy so that he could call Jo and tell her their plan. He frowned when he got into the car and saw the way Dean was staring at his phone.
"Dean, did you talk to Jo? Is everything alright?"
"$983,842.16."
Sam looked at his brother. "What?"
Dean turned towards Sam. "$983,842.16. That's how much money was in the accounts."
Sam's mouth dropped open, "you're joking right?"
Dean shook his head, "she had an appointment with the attorney Frank had handling everything this morning. Not only has she set up new accounts under Joanna Harvelle-Winchester but she had the lawyer set up accounts for Dean and Sam Winchester too."
"Ummm…ummm." Sam stammered.
Both men looked down when their phones buzzed and saw they each had a text message with a link to the bank account under their name. Jo had told Dean she had $5,000.00 deposited into each account. She had also set up an Apple Pay account for each of them and linked them to their accounts.
Dean cleared his throat, "I guess our luck is starting to change."
"I can't believe she did this," Sam said.
"I guess she figures Chuck wouldn't think of electronic payment apps," Dean said as he tap on his phone and clicked on the links. Less than a minute later each brother had access the app on their phones and logged in.
"She said she'll kick our asses if we don't stop and get some decent shut eye," Sam said as he looked up from a new text that just came through.
"Yeah she already said she didn't want us driving straight through," Dean admitted.
Sam watched the way Dean slipped his phone into his pocket, "you okay?"
Dean cleared his throat, "yeah…no…I don't know. I guess I didn't think about the money before but now that it's real…it's just weird."
"Yeah…not like we ever had that kinda of money before." Sam admitted as Dean put Baby into drive and pulled out onto the road.
"That's not all," Dean said as he shot a quick look over at his brother. "Jo read her Mom's letter. Ellen gave us her blessing."
Sam smiled, "funny how Bobby and Ellen both knew you two were meant to be together."
"Yeah," Dean agreed. "Ellen also told Jo that what she wanted most of all is that Jo find something outside of hunting."
"Not surprising," Sam reason.
"No, not surprising." Dean agreed before he added, "she's actually already found that something."
"What?"
"Guess it's been something she's been thinking about for a while…just never figured she would be able to scrap together enough cash to make it real." Dean explained.
Sam laughed, "so what is it?"
"You know the Gavin Lodge you can see from the road around forty-five minutes from the bunker."
"Yeah."
Dean couldn't help smiling. "Seems my girl has been checking the property out and been thinking it would make a pretty decent roadhouse…there's a house and a bunkhouse on the property too."
Sam laughed as he nodded his head in appreciation, "you know I can see that." Said as he pulled the listing up. "Wow there's a four bedroom house on the land too with a three car garage. The price isn't bad either…$450,000.00."
"If anyone could make it work it would be my Jo," Dean said as he chuckled.
"Your Jo," Sam said as he smirked at Dean. "You know I just realize you never call her your girlfriend. Always my girl or my Jo."
"Well I'm not a twelve years old girl Samantha," Dean quipped.
Sam shrugged his shoulders, "you know you could make it official now. Put a ring on her finger. Then you could actually call Jo your wife."
"Oh and how would that work huh? We can't exactly get legally married since I'm wanted by the federal government." Dean said with a roll of his eyes.
"So what? She's already using the name Winchester. We could have some kind of ceremony for you both." Sammy argued.
Dean stared out at the open road before them and sighed. "Maybe…" he said in a way that Sam knew meant he didn't want to discuss this any further so Sam plugged in the route to Alaska into his phone as Dean popped one of his Led Zeppelin tapes. He would continue to encourage Dean but right now they needed to get their luck back so they can level the playing field.

Jo smiled as Ash bounced Ami in his arms as they stood front porch of the property they just finished viewing with Bill and Ellen.
"So?" She asked.
"Everything looks good. The foundations for all the buildings are solid, the roofs were all replaced within the past five years. The home looks like it was remodeled completely too within the past five years. I just can't believe it's listed so low."
Jo shrugged her shoulders, "Mr. Gavin died recently and Mrs. Gavin is going to live with her son in Massachusetts so she's anxious to sell."
"And you really want to open up a new version of the Roadhouse?" Ellen asked.
Jo smiled wistfully, "you know if you asked me that fifteen years ago I would have said no way in hell but now I guess I finally get there is more out there for me than hunting."
"We all have to grow up sometime Peter Pan," Ash teased as he bumped Jo's shoulder with his own.
"I have to say Jo…this is a prime location and the boys already know a good deal of hunters who come through these parts. That bunkhouse is a decent size and they'll appreciate a clean place to crash."
"Really…you don't think I'm crazy for doing this with everything going on?" she asked suddenly feeling she was insane for wanted to move forward with this idea considering what they were up against.
"No…you not moving forward would be another way of Chuck winning. I think this is anything but crazy. I think this is you taking control of your future." Ellen told her.
Jo let out the breath she was holding. "Thank you because I heard back from my lawyer this morning and Mrs. Gavin accepted my offer and since I'm paying cash we can pass paper on Friday."
"That fast," Ash said a little surprised. "You haven't even shown the guys the place yet."
"Actually I 'walked' Dean and Sam through the property before you guys got here over facetime. They both thought it looked great and said they couldn't wait to see it in person." She explained.
"How long do they think they'll be gone?" Bill asked.
"They had just crossed over to Alaska when I spoke to them and they were about eight hours out from the general location where this place is. So hopefully they'll back by next Monday or Tuesday."
"Well let's hope this thing works and the boys get their mojo back." Bill said.
"It has to work," Jo said.
Ellen wrapped an arm around the other woman. "I'm sure it will." She told her.
Jo went over to Ash and took Ami from him, kissing her cheek. "So are you and Dad still up to taking Ami? I have a lot to do before Friday and it would be a little easier to do without my little munchkin."
"Of course we can still take her," Bill said as he leaned forward and made a silly face for his granddaughter, earning a giggle for his actions.
"Are you sure you want to stay in that bunker all alone?" Ellen asked.
"Yeah, I don't mind beside Cas will probably be back today." She told them as they all began walking down the stairs towards their respective cars. "Ash, what are you up to anyways?"
He smiled as he stood next to his car, "Donna's working a case that I told her I could help with so I'm heading to Hibbins to meet up with her."
Ellen smirked at the younger man, "Isn't that the third case you worked with Donna?"
Jo snorted, "oh…is that why the sudden makeover. I meant to say I like the shorter hair." She teased.
"Shut up," Ash said as he opened the driver side door and got in. "Call if you need anything," he told Jo as he waved to Bill, Ellen and Ami before pulling out. Jo and the others said their goodbyes before Jo climbed into her car and headed back towards the bunker.

Jo looked up when she heard the door of the bunker open and close and saw Cas coming down the stairs. "Welcome back," she called out to the angel.
"Hello Joanna," he said as he looked around. "Where are Sam and Dean?"
"Alaska," she told him and quickly gave Castiel a rundown of Chuck's parting gift and about the legend that Garth had told the boys about and why they were in Alaska as well about everything in the envelope that Frank left for her.
"I see," Cas said as he sat down across from Jo.
"How did things go upstairs?"
"Nobody was willing to say anything. They're all afraid of Chuck."
Jo sighed, that's what Dean was afraid would happen. Both looked up when they heard a phone ringing and both started towards the sleeping quarters. "Sounds like it's coming from Sam's room."
They stopped in front of the Sam's room as the phone rang again and Cas opened the door and they went into Sam's room.
Cas crossed the room and picked up Sam's phone. He shared a look with Jo before accepting the call, "hello."
Jo urged Castiel to put the phone on speaker and they both heard the voice on the other end say, "Uh, yeah, Jeb Evans. Sheriff's Department. Cushing, Oklahoma. Uh, I'm looking for an FBI Agent Watts?
Cas frowned as Jo mouthed, 'cover story' and the angel quickly responded. "Um, yeah, Agent Watts is working a case in, uh, Alaska. This is Agent, uh, Lizzo."
"Hmm. Well, I guess a fed's a fed, right? Listen, we got a homicide down here, and my file says that our suspect might be one of yours.'
Cas looked at Jo who shrugged her shoulder but gave him the universal signal of spinning her finger to continue speaking to the sheriff while she grabbed a notebook off of Sam's desk and a pen.
"The murderer is someone we're looking for?" Cas asked.
"It says Agent Watts started a file on him last spring and to call with any information regarding a, uh, Jack Kline?"
Jo gasped at the mention of the name of the Nephilim that she had heard so much about but never thought she would meet. She watched as Cas swallowed and she could see the hope in his eyes. "Jack."
The voice on the other end of the line asked, "that name ring a bell? I can send you an email of a video so you can confirm if it's him. What's your email?"
Castiel quickly recited the fact FBI email address that Sam has set up for him as he and Jo rushed out of the room and headed back to the war room. Jo opened up her laptop and accessed the email as Cas sat down next to her.
"Okay, you got the video, right?" Sheriff Evan asked.
"Uh, yes." Cas confirmed as Jo clicked on the video and they began to watch.
The voice on the other end of the phone cleared his throat, "Okay, so, so, Vic was a local doctor, and the office security cameras gave us a good idea of what went down."
"Just an idea?" Cas said as he watched the video and saw a doctor's office.
"You'll see. Now, Dr. Sariel was a good man. He delivered both of my kids." The sheriff explained.
Cas continued to watch the video and swallowed when he saw an image of Jack looking through the window of the doctor's office. "Jack."
The sheriff cleared his throat as the video continued and said, "this thing's got people pretty spooked."
'Thing?' Jo mouth as the video played and they both watched wide eye as the Doctor came in and began speaking to Jack. The watched as Jack looked at the doctor before Jack reach out and punched his hand through the doctor's chest. Jo's hand flew up and covered her mouth in horror as the video began to get blurry.
"I don't understand," Cas said as he stares at the screen.
"Me neither. Signal goes out for about two and a half minutes, during which time the suspect kills the doc in his office."
"Why?" Castiel asked.
"Keep watching," the sheriff urged.
Jo and Cas turn their attention back to the video and watch as Jack walks back into the office with the Doctor's something in his hand. Jo turned her head in disgust when Jack sat down in a chair and brought that something up to his mouth.
Cas swallowed as he watched Jack bite into the heart. "Is that…is that his heart?"

Jo smooth down the powder blue blouse under the blazer she was wearing. She hadn't pretended to be a fed in a while but she insisted on coming to back Cas up.
After speaking to Sheriff Evans they decided to go to the doctor's office. They had just finished going through some files and Jo looked over at Castiel.
"Let's check the exam room," she suggested. She could sense that the angel was actually anxious…something she never expected from him.
Cas nodded his head as they both went into the other room. Both looked down at the blood on the floor for a second before each taking a side of the room and began opening the cabinets and draws.
"Joanna, over here." He said as he noticed one cabinet had a lock on it. He quickly broke the lock and opened the door to reveal some lab coats. Pushing them aside he saw a large black case that he took out and placed on the table.
He flipped the locks and opened box and couldn't hide his surprise at seeing a Grigori sword. Jo caught his reaction and ask, "what's wrong?"
"It's a Grigori sword. They were a brotherhood of elite angels and each of their sword was inscribed with their name."
"You mean to tell me that Jack ate the heart of one of these beings?"
"It appears so." He said as he lifted the sword and examined it.
"Now what?"
Castiel looked at Jo and said, "now we try to figure out why Jack is going after these beings."
Jo's response was interrupted when Cas's cell phone went off. She watched as he answered the phone, "Agent Lizzo. Yes Sheriff Evans my partner and I can meet you. Yes I'm ready, what is the address. Thank you we will be there in twenty minutes."
"That was quick…usually the locals don't reach out to us that fast."
"Unfortunately seems Jack was seen at a factory. I told him we would meet him there."
"Well let's go partner," Jo said as Cas put the sword back in the box before they left the doctor's office.

Jo and Cas walked into the factory and saw a man in a police uniform shining his flashlight on something on the ground and quickly walked towards him.
"Blood," Jo whispered to Cas as they joined the sheriff and pulled out their badges.
The sheriff nodded as he held his hand out, "Agent Lizzo, I'm Sheriff Evans."
Cas shook the other man's hand. "My partner, Agent Benatar."
Jo fought not to roll her eyes, she really needed to speak to Dean about the cover names he put on her fake credentials.
"Sheriff," Jo said as she shook the man's hand.
"Glad you both could make it."
Jo smiled politely as she said, "we're glad you called us. So what can you tell us?"
The sheriff returned Jo's smiled as he explained, "so, local transient spotted our boy in some sort of an altercation."
Cas frowned, "did they say with whom?"
The officer shook his head, "no. She ran the other way when she saw the other guy had a… sword." He shone his flashlight in the blood before adding, "looks like he used it."
Cas shot a look at Jo before asking, "Sheriff are there any abandoned buildings in town?"
"Yeah, I … I guess. I mean, there's uh, plenty of old cattle barns, empty warehouses, old church, that kind of thing."
"Church. Where's the church?" Castiel asked knowing it would be the most likely place they would go.
"Uh, two blocks down on your right."
"Thank you," Cas said as he started to walk away much to Jo and the Sheriff chagrin.
"Uh, Agent?" The man called out as Jo quickly walked over and joined the angel who had stopped and turned back towards the other man. "I called you for answers."
Castiel nodded his head in understanding. "I know. And I intend to find them." He declared as him and Jo left the office to continue their journey.
SPNSPNSPN
"Castiel, hold up. We need to discuss this." Jo said as she grabbed the angel and forced him to stop before he could get into the car.
"There is nothing to discuss. Jack is back and he needs me."
Jo stood in front of Castiel. "Yeah he's back and he's eating hearts. I repeat he's eating hearts. I think that is cause for alarm."
"And I am sure he will have a reason for why he's doing this."
"Oh well," Jo said as she rolled her eyes. "As long as he has a good reason for EATING HEARTS."
Castiel knit his brows as he study Jo's face. "I understand why you are anxious. You are concern how Jack being back with affect Amelia because of the prophecy."
"Of course I'm concerned but don't think I wouldn't help Jack because of my concerns for Amelia." She told him. "But we don't even know if it's really Jack. Dean told me about that demon Belphegor. How do we know that this isn't something like that?"
The angel sighed, "I can feel him. I believe that was part of the shift in power that myself and Gabriel felt after Chuck kidnapped Sam."
Jo licked her lips as she nodded her head in understanding. "Okay but we don't know if he's a danger to us." She argued.
"I do not believe that is the case. I believe when we find Jack we will find out that he is back to help us defeat Chuck and devouring the Grigori hearts is part of how Jack will help us."
"Okay," Jo said as she quirked her eyebrow at the angel.
"Okay? You accept this?" He asked clearly surprised.
Jo smiled, "if you believe that he's back to help us then that's all the reassurance I need. I might not know this Jack but I know you and I trust you."
"Thank you," he said as he returned her smile. "I promise Jo, we will figure out how to prevent the prophecy."
"Damn straight we will. I'm way too young to be a grandmother."
Castiel held his hand out towards the direction the sheriff gave them. "Shall we then?"
"We shall," Jo agreed as they both got into the car to head towards the church.
SPNSPNSPN
Jo and Castiel made their way into the church, pausing when they heard voices. Jo pulled out her gun as Castiel pulled the sword he had taken from the doctor's office out from under this coat as they headed toward the voices.
They saw that the Grigori had Jack tied up and was torturing him. Jo stiffened when she saw Jack. The Nephilim turned his head slightly, surprised to see Castiel and her. He could feel her all the way over here and swallowed when he saw her eyes flash blue.
Jo blinked several times as she shook her head and focus on the scene in front of her. She heard the creature speaking to Jack, "I can make you suffer. You killed the last of my kind. You ate their hearts! This is more than fair."
"Fair?" Jack taunted, "the last one I killed was pretending to be a doctor. Feeding on the souls of humans he was supposed to heal. You do it, too. Only you like children."
The Grigori gaped at Jack as he asked, "Who told you that?"
Jack smirked, "Death."
He looked at Jack for a beat before lifting his sword and went to swing the sword and finish Jack but instead he turned slightly and saw Castiel standing behind him and they began fighting as Jo tried to line up a shot that Castiel wouldn't get hit.
She lowered her gun when the Grigori took a side step giving Cas the opening he needed as he ran him through with the sword from the doctor's office and watched as the creature collapsed on to the floor dead.
Castiel turned toward the young man he never thought he would see again and whispers, "Jack?"
The young Nephilim looked up at the man he consider on of his father and smiled. Cas quickly went over and knelt down to untie the ropes around his hands. Jo watched as her friend held his hand out to help Jack stand up. The men looked into each other eyes and smiled before embracing.
Jo couldn't help smiling, knowing how much Jack meant to Castiel, Sam and her Dean. She watched as Jack pulled away from Castiel before turning towards her and smiling as he tilted his head slightly and held his hand up. "Hello Jo. I'm very happy to meet you."
"Hello." She said, a little surprised that he knew who she was.
"How?" Castiel asked.
"I have many things to tell you but first…I must complete my quest."
"Why do I have a feeling to complete your quest you're gonna need to eat his heart." Jo said as she looked down at the body.
"You may want to wait outside," Jack prompted.
"Yeahhhh. Good idea." Jo said as pointed towards the door. "I'm just going to go and ummm make some calls."

"Hey my sweet girl," Jo coed as she facetimed with her daughter. "So Mom I'm closing tomorrow morning at 11:00. Why don't you and Dad drive up and meet me at Meghan's office and afterwards we can all go out to lunch to celebrate."
"Sounds like a plan. Just text me the lawyer's address." Ellen said as she turned the phone towards herself and asked. "Have you heard from Dean?"
Jo smiled and nodded her head. "I spoke to him before I call you. It worked. Him and Sam are heading back today. They should be in sometime day after tomorrow."
"Thank goodness," the older woman said. "Bill and Ash will be relieved when I tell them."
"Ohh speaking of Ash…what's the story with Donna?"
Ellen smirked as she began telling Jo about Ash and Donna and how both keep insisting their nothing more but friends.
SPNSPNSPN
Jo wrinkled her nose as she sat across from Jack as he leaned forward and took a long sip of the chocolate milk shake he had ordered while they waited for Castiel who had gone to 'clear' the Sheriff's memory of Jack and altering all the videos of the crime.
"How's the shake?" She asked.
"It's very good, the sweetness is refreshing." He explained.
"Yeah I guess Grigori hearts probable leave a bit of an aftertaste," she quipped.
The young man nodded his head, "yes they do. They're very metallic." He told her sincerely.
Jo snorted, "I guess sarcasm isn't your strong suit."
Jack blushed slightly, "oh you were teasing me."
"Sorry, I didn't mean to embarrass you." Jo said as she took a sip of her coffee.
"Dean likes to tease me…or I should say he use to like to tease me. He no longer cares about me because I killed Mary." He told her in a hush whisper.
Without think twice about it she reached across the table and took Jack's hand in hers. "That's not true Jack. I know for a fact that Dean loves you very much. He thinks of you as a son."
"But you both have a child together. You have Amelia."
"Yes but that doesn't mean he can't love you too. Trust me, Dean has a lot of love in him. He just tries to hide it under his gruff exterior." She told him.
Jack smiled at this before reaching over placing his hand over Jo's. "You should know, you don't need to fear the prophecy. When I fought Michael after he was possessed Rowena and took his grace the prophecy was shattered."
"What?" Jo said in shock.
"The prophecy was meant for Lucifer's child… with Lucifer's grace would mate with the child born to Michael's sword."
"Lucifer stole your grace and left you powerless," Jo said as she looked at Jack, "Dean told me. He told me that they actually gave you some of Gabriel's grace to help you but it and you died."
"I did but Cas rescue from the Shadow."
"And then you were resurrected," Jo prompted.
"I was. Michael and I battle after he possessed Rowena and when I killed Michael I consumed his grace…the same grace he gave you. The grace that you passed onto Amelia."
Jo let out the breath she was holding, "so the prophecy can't be fulfilled because you no longer carry Lucifer's grace inside of you."
"Exactly, that was never supposed to happen…Amelia and I both having Michael's grace." Jack stated.
"And that means Amelia won't suddenly turn into an adult when you two meet?" Jo said unable to keep the relief out of her voice.
"No you and Dean don't need to worry about that. Our connection has been altered." he reassured her.
"Connections?" Jo asked.
Jack cocked his head slightly as he realized Jo wasn't aware of their connection too. A quick peek in her mind and he knew she had already reason away what had happened in the church. That the grace inside of her had been dormant until she walked into the church but he knew she wasn't ready to hear this and instead smiled and said, "Amelia and I were always meant to be connected. It was part of the prophecy."
Jo gave him a smile as she nodded her head. "Of course, that makes sense."
They both turned when Castiel joined them. "We're all set here. We should head home now."
Jo looked at her watch, "Sounds good to me. If we leave now we should get back with enough time for me to catch a few hours before my appointment."
"May I get another milkshake?" Jack asked as hopefully.
"Of course," Castiel told him as he sat down next to Jack before asking Jo. "Did you speak to Dean?"
"I checked in with him while I was waiting for you both. The trip worked and they're on their way home now." She told him.
He nodded his head. "Did you tell him about Jack?" He inquired.
"No," she admitted. "I thought it wasn't something they should hear over the phone."
They stopped speaking when the waitress came over, "can I get you anything else?"
"Yeah can we get two large chocolate milkshakes, a bacon double cheeseburger extra bacon and a large order of onion rings to go." Jo ordered.
"Can you please make that two double bacon cheeseburgers." Jack asked as he slurped the last of his shake.
"Anything for you handsome?" The waitress as as she eyed Castiel much to Jo chagrin.
"Coffee black," he said as he reached into his pocket and pull out several crumbled bills and handed them to the waitress.
The woman looked down at the bills and blanched, "there's over a hundred dollars here…that's way too much."
"You may keep the remainder." Cas told her as he looked out the window towards the car. "You both can wait here while I go and refuel the car." He told Jo and Jack as he got up and head back outside.
Jo caught the slightly hurt expression on the young man's face as the waitress hurried to fill their order. "Hey, you know how happy he is that you're back."
"I know. He's concerned about how Dean will react." He explained.
Jo slowly slipped out of the booth. "I think you both are underestimating him. Give him a fair chance. I'm going to the ladies room."
She made her way towards the ladies room, suddenly wondering if she was wrong not to say anything to Dean.

"Hello Ami," Jack said as he walked into the library were the infant was currently in her bouncy chair and chewing on a teething ring that Jo gave her.
Jo looked up from her laptop and watched the young man with her daughter. The more she watched the more she could see that Jack had taken to the role of big brother with gusto.
Once she knew that the prophecy had been prevented thanks to that bastard Michael she found herself wanting to mother the boy she had met less than 24 hours ago. She completely understood what Sam had told her. He was vulnerable and innocent, well as innocent as somebody who had killed and the hearts of the ones he killed.
"She's very happy," Jack told her.
"She's excited to see her Daddy and Uncle Sammy." She said with a chuckle. Dean had called at their last gas station stopped to say they would be home soon. She saw the way Jack stiffed and signed. "Relax Jack."
Castiel came and joined them. "They're back," he said simply as Jo and Jack stood up. She caught the way the angel stood in front of Jack as Dean and Sam came into the room. She smirked when heard her man walking down the hall.

"Alright, this is it. Last scratcher. Come on, come on." He said as he blew on the card. "What the hell? I mean, so much for that Luck of Hercules crap."
Sam rolled his eyes at his brother. "So, we didn't win the lottery. But no car trouble. Uh, credit cards work. Oh, and back-to-back bacon double cheeseburgers didn't kill you, so…"
Dean got a dreamy goofy grin on his face. "That was beautiful, by the way. I'm just saying would it have killed her to give us a little extra?"
"Well, she thinks we're real heroes. Maybe they don't get all the shortcuts." Argued Sam.
"Friggin' gods, man." Dean huffed as they walked into the library.
"You done bitching?" Jo asked as Dean and Sam stood in the doorway.
"Hey Sweetheart," Dean said with a grin as he held his arms out, "miss me?"
Jo laughed as she ran up and launched herself at Dean wrapping her arms around his neck as he lifted off the ground as he kissed her.
Sam laughed as he turned towards his niece and sighed in relief when she gave him a gummy grin. "Hey Squirt," he said as he leaned down and kissed Ami's forehead. "I'm sure Daddy will come over to give you a cuddle after her molest Mommy."
"Haha," Dean said as him and Jo pulled apart and he went over to his daughter. "Hey Sweetpea," Dean cooed as he reached down and lifted his daughter. Closing his eyes he savored holding his baby girl.
Sam finally looked over towards their friend and saw the way he stood watching them. "Cas? Hey. Everything okay?"
Dean shifted Ami in his arms as he turned his attention to the angel. "Cas?"
Jo stood next to Dean as Castiel stepped aside to reveal the young man the brothers never thought they would see again.
Jack gave the men a tentative smile as he raised his hand and said, "hello."
Sam swallowed as he look at the younger man, "Jack?"
Cas nodded his head as he stared Dean in the eyes and murmured, "it's really him."
Sam laughed in disbelief as he walked over and pulled Jack in for a hug as Dean swallowed and held Ami closer. Jo reached out and placed her hand on his arm. "It's okay, she's fine. I would never put our daughter in danger."
Dean saw the hope in Jack's eyes. He kissed Ami on the crown of her head before passing her to Jo. He watched as Sam stood back to see his reaction. He slowly walked over to Jack and cup his hand on the back of Jack's neck and smiled. "Welcome back Kid."
SPNSPNSPN
Dean cradle Ami as he gave her a bottle as they all sat around the map table drinking and talking. "And because Lucifer stole your grace…the grace you were born with…that you inherited from him. Because he took your grace and now you have Michael's grace…the same grace he fed to Jo when she was pregnant…that the prophecy is basically null and void."
"Exactly," Jack said as he took a sip of his beer.
Sam exchanged a look with Dean and smiled. Things really were starting to go in their favor. He turned towards Jack to ask about his mission. "Jack, you… you ate their hearts?"
He nodded his head, "I… I had to."
Dean lifted Ami against his shoulder as he patted her back while glancing over at Cas. "And you let him?"
Castiel nodded his head and said, "I did."
Sam sighed in frustration as he looked at Jack and stated, "you could've called us."
The young man hung his head. "Every day I wanted to come home, but… I couldn't."
"Why not?" Dean asked.
"At first it was because I had to stay hidden. I couldn't use my powers, my grandfather… he would have known I was back, and he'd try to kill me… again. He's afraid of me. And that's why we had to wait. That and I wasn't sure if I would be wanted here."
Dean saw the way Jack's eyes darted towards him and felt Jo reached over and squeezed his thigh. He saw the way she smiled reassuringly at Jack and said gently. "This is your home Jack."
The young man beamed as Dean leaned over and ruffled his hair affectionately. Cas smiled at the tender gesture before explaining. "Billie kept him hidden in the Empty until Chuck went off world."
Jack nodded his head. "She let me out when it was safe."
Dean rolled his eyes and quipped, "safe to do what? Eat a bunch of angel hearts?"
Jack licked his lips as he looked into each of their faces. "Safe to do what I have to. The hearts, they were just the beginning. They made me strong, but I…I'm not strong enough. I… If I do exactly what she says, if I follow her plan, then I'll get stronger and… I'll be able to kill God."
The hunters all look at one another as Jack's words sank in. Dean smirk as he reached out and raised his beer and said, "well I'll drink to that."
Jo smirked at Dean as she stood up. "I don't know about anyone else but I think I'm gonna call it a night. I'm going to put Ami down and then take a nice long bath." She said as she reached down to take her daughter from Dean, leaning close and purring in his ear. "Maybe we should test and see how lucky you really are now."
Dean gave her a lascivious grin as she turned and headed out of the room. Sam rolled his eyes as Dean drained his beer before standing up to follow. He was half-way out of the room before he stopped and turned around and asked, "we're good here…right?"
Sam couldn't help laughing as he waved his brother off, "just go. I'm gonna head down soon too. Close your door between your room and Ami's. I'm just across the hall and will get up with her. Consider it an early Christmas present."
"Works for me," Dean grinned as he gave his amused brother a thumbs up before heading down the corridor. Sam winced when he heard Dean exclaimed happily after Jo, "Hey Jo, Sammy said he'll be on Ami duty tonight so Mommy and Daddy can be as loud as they want!"
Sam looked over at a clearly embarrassed Jack, "you may want to sleep with noise cancelling headphones tonight."
"I think you may be right," the young man agreed.

A/N:
#1 Jo's pretty practically too so I could see her setting up the accounts for Dean and Sam. Also I actually did find a piece of property (yup I'm a geek and did a little research on properties n Kansas) and I did find a property that had a house, lodge and a bunkhouse that was pretty cheap(at least to me it was cheap...less than 500k...in my neck of the woods a piece of property like that would go easily for 2 to 3 million.) so it wasn't too far fetch that Jo was able to buy this property.
#2 Okay so I had to break the prophecy because I want Jack to be a 'big brother' to Ami and no way was I turning her into an adult suddenly. I love Daddy Dean, Mommy Jo and Uncle Sammy too much. So thankfully Lucifer stole the grace that Jack was born with and he ended up consuming Michael's grace on the show so that I could use that.
#3 Yup Jo obviously has AU Michael grace too so I went with that the first time she sees Jack that the grace inside of her began 'powering up' basically. I know...Jo met Adam/Michael and this didn't happen but her and Jack have the same Michael grace inside of each other and they have a connection. I'm also going to write off that Cas hasn't notice a change in Jo to Jack being back and assuming whatever power he's feeling is Jack.
Thank you again for reading and feedback is always welcomed!
