~ Eevee

It was finally here. The day of Sylveon's highschool graduation.

We saw each other every day since Valentines Day and I honestly say I had a great time with him.

He always told me I looked great, he helped me with my homework, picked me up and dropped me off for school, and most importantly he would hold me close in the hard times and open his heart to me.

On the 14th of March he gave me a heart lunchbox full of Pecha berries as a response to my Valentines present.

He's leaving tommorrow for the faraway college and this will be the last time I see him.

I better make today count.

Sylveon asked me to meet him at the lake next to the old gymnasium.

I walked through the stream to the lake to see Sylveon leaning against a tree waiting for me.

"Hey Sylveon!"

I ran over to him and hugged him. He laughed and held me back.

"Congratulations Sylveon! You did it!"

"Thank you. I couldn't have done it without you."

"No that was all you."

"Well academically. But just being there for me encouraged me to want to do more with my life. And to try make something of myself. You helped me way more than you can even imagine."

"Well okay if I really did all that much then I'll take it."

We held each other again before breaking apart to sit beside each other on the grass.

"So how does it feel to have finally graduated?"

"I completed my teenage years. Now I have to leave it behind for the next stages of my life starting today."

"Right. Like college for example. Sylveon you should know that I will always be there for you no matter how far you are or where you go. I will always be want to be with you."

"Eevee."

"No I'm not finished. I want to be a part of your life even while you're over there. No matter what."

"I'm not going to that college."

"Wait you're not? Why?"

"It's actually what I wanted to talk to you about."

Sylveon said as he pulled out a college pamphlet and handed it to me.

"Teaching and Guidance college. Where's this one located?"

"Home."

"Really?! Oh Sylveon I'm so happy for you! May I ask how you did it and why?"

"Open the next page first."

"Okay."

I turned to the next page to see a note inside it.

'Eevee I have something to ask you.'

I looked back up at Sylveon and waited for him to speak.

"Eevee. I enjoyed spending time with you not just the past couple of months with you but also our friendship of three years. I think you're amazing, intelligent, and beautiful. Everytime I see you I feel like I'm looking at an angel from Heaven and you captured my heart."

"Sylveon..."

"After searching for months, I chose the college closer to home because I was determined to start my life and remain close to you. Instead of being apart with you for another 3 years. It would have absolutely killed me if I let it happen. If I couldn't see you for more than a day or two. I want to grow closer with you in so many ways. Eevee, will you be my girlfriend?"

Tears of joy came down my face as the realization of his words hit my heart and filled with happiness and love.

"Yes Sylveon, I very much want to be your girlfriend. Spend our days together. Grow together. Laugh together. But most importantly fall deeper in love together."

Sylveon shouted yes before lifting me up and spinning me around in the air.

"I have a girlfriend! I love this pokemon in my arms right now!"

"Ahaha! Sylveon!"

We laughed together for the next minute or so before he set me down and kissed me.

I kissed him happily back. When it was over we refused to let each other go.

"My girlfriend."

"My boyfriend."

"Beautiful."

"Handsome."

"Darling."

"Ooh I love that one."

"Darling..."

"Sylveon...Stahp it."

"Okay how about beautful angel?"

"Alright darling is good."

Sylveon chuckled as he held me affectionately.

"Oh Sylveon. You know what I just realized?"

"What?"

"How are we going to tell our parents?"

"Well I suggest we should go tell them to get it over with."

"Sounds good. Let's go then."

We headed home together paw in paw to go tell our parents.

We told Sylveon's mom about our relationship and all she said was 'Welcome to the family.'

So now was my parents next.

I don't know how they'll react but we did have to tell them.

I'll spare you the conversation except for their responses.

Complete silence.

"Umm mom? Dad?"

They seemed to snap out of their shocked trance and reacted almost immediately.

Mom gasped out in joy and squealed in delight.

"I knew it. I always suspected something was going on with you two. I'm so happy you're together now."

"Wow mom thanks so much."

"So..."

We all turned when dad spoke.

"You're gonna date my daughter?"

"Yes sir."

Dad suddenly sprung and grabbed Sylveon by his shirt.

"Even after I told both of you I didn't want you dating each other?!"

"Whoah honey calm down! I think we should just let them date each other. I believe they're responsible enough, after all they came to tell us even though they both knew you probably wouldn't like it."

"So you're alright with this?"

"Yes 100%."

"Fine then. But Sylveon if you ever bring my daughter home late I'm driving after your ass. And if you break her heart in any way I'm going to attack you and break you in two."

"Dad stop it!"

"Do you accept the terms?"

"Yes sir."

"Good. Now I'm gonna go to the store and buy some cake."

We all sat there in silence as dad got up, grabbed his keys, and headed out.

"Sorry about that sweetie. I'm sure you're father is happy for you. He's just worried about you and loves you."

"Okay mom."

"Now let's bring out the sodas to celebrate."

We didn't have a big party. We just ate cake together as a family, Sylveon included, and adjusted quickly to the new change.

The next three hours were a lot of fun. I felt everything was finally starting to work out, when my phone rang with a call from Evelyn.

I excused myself and answered it in the hallway.

"Hello? Evelyn? Where have you been? What happenned? We haven't spoken in weeks."

I heard no answer until I heard the faint sound of crying.

"Hello?"

"Eevee...I-I...need to talk with you..*sniff

Can I head over?"

"Of course you can. I'll wait for you outside."

"T-thank you. Bye."

"Bye."

We hung up and I quickly told mom about Evelyn heading over before waiting outside with Sylveon.

"I hope she's okay Sylveon. She's almost never cries. I'm getting worried about her."

"If she needs us now we'll both be there for her. I promise."

"Okay."

We held each other's paws as we waited for Evelyn to arrive.

After waiting about five minutes we saw her walking down the sidewalk.

"Evelyn!"

I ran over to her stopping just in time to not collide with her.

"Are you okay?"

She nodded no.

"Evelyn what happenned?"

"Ryu and...that b*tch are dating. They got together on White Day. Ryu told me after I caught them kissing a few hours ago. I just got mad at both of them and left."

Evelyn shouted as she wiped her tears away.

"Oh Evelyn I'm sorry. I couldn't do much about it. She kept taking him all the time and I...I'm sorry."

"No it's my fault for not being able to do more. And now he's..."

Evelyn couldn't hold it back in anymore and she sobbed as I gently hugged her and quietly shushed her.

Sylveon walked over to us and without a word he pulled us both into a hug.

It took a while for her to calm down. When she finally stopped crying I asked if she wanted to spend the night and so we can catch up on what we both missed. She sniffled and eagerly accepted.
