Chapter 33.
(Scott POV)
When we woke up, I went and got a shower as Jana went downstairs then I came down and starting making for breakfast which Ceri and Aran smelt and came down.
"Smells Nice," Ceri said.
"Well I do make one mean Fry," I said.
As we ate when Jana headed back up with Ceri and Aran. Before I could get up there. There was a knock on the door. Then I headed and opened it. It was Dacia.
"Hey," I said.
"I got the last of that stuff for Jana," Dacia said.
"Come on," I said. As Dacia came in and then we headed up where Jana was there as Ceri was doing something.
"It's phenomenal," Dacia said.
"What is?" Jana said.
"What your herbal remedies can do when combined with antibiotics," Dacia said.
"And some good red meat," Aran said.
"Your get your meat soon enough," Jana said.
"Your last course," Dacia said. "Make sure you take them all,"
"Thank you. I'm in your debt," Jana said.
"Actually there is something you can do for me," Dacia said. "Your Potions. Segolia would love to research them,"
"There a pack secret," Ceri said.
"Which I shall discuss sharing with other on our return," Jana said.
"Hey, Dacia, Give us a minute would you," I said.
"Sure," Dacia said. Leaving the room,
"What is it?" Jana said.
"How'd you know, I was," I said.
"I know you enough by now Scott, Come on what is it," Jana said.
"You should do it," I said.
"What," Ceri said.
"Ceri How many of those can you make enough for the whole pack or some," I said.
"Some," Ceri said.
"That's where Segolia can help, Ceri. We could easy stock pile it here. what if that hunter comes back with friends. It would be good to have a safe harbour," I said. "You know that hole Liam fell down,"
"Yeah," Jana said.
"It's led straight to the Den, And there's a way out into the moors from there, Once the hunter get here, you could be through that tunnel into the Moors and hitting it back to your pack site getting it all packed up and gone before they could tell the different, And Have those potions here in enough number to treat the entire pack, Ceri, Meaning whoever it is isn't waiting for you to come back with more of it. There is more than enough, Just think about it that way,"
"If the pack agrees, I'll let you know to tell them," Jana said.
"I know you will," I said. Then Ceri growls.
"I said we'd discuss it," Jana said.
"Ceri," I said but she headed on out. "What the hell,"
"Come on," Jana said.
"On me, Come on," I said.
Then we got down there where Jana can walk easy enough.
"Mum," Rhyd said.
"What are you doing here," Ceri said.
"He came to talk to you," Rhyd said.
"He would never turn up just to see me," Ceri said.
"No, no, no That's not true, That's not true, I want you back in my life, Both of you," He said. "I want you to grant me, Enouwian,"
"What's Enouwian?" Rhyd said.
"If a traitor wants to rejoin the pack, He must be forgiven by those he wronged," Aran said.
"It's a ritual," Jana said.
"One I'll never grant, You're not welcome here," Ceri said.
"Oi, My territory remember," I said.
"Mum please, I mean, just listen to him," Rhyd said.
"Ceri, go inside," Jana said. "I'll talk to here, stay out here,"
"Who's that?" He said.
"Pack Leader," Rhyd said.
"Huh, Thank you," He said.
"I'm not doing this for you," Jana said.
"How about some rabbit for dinner, Aran?" Rhyd said.
"I'm not too keen on rabbit these days, to be honest with you," He said. "See if you could bag a couple of Pheasants, or a wood pigeon would be fine, Never really had a sense of humour, has he, that one? None of them do, Am I right, or Am I right,"
"Rhyd, Who is that," I said.
"My Dad," Rhyd said.
"Gerwyn, You," Gerwyn said.
"Scott," I said. Then I headed in.
"He's not to be trusted," Ceri said.
"Rhydian has a right to know who his father is, Doesn't he," Jana said.
"At least His is trying. Mine still hasn't is sent a message or anything, Tell you something if mine showed up there now. He be out for a month if I hit light enough," I said.
"It's Rhydian I'm thinking of, He'll get hurt," Ceri said.
"He's not a cub anymore," Jana said. "You can't decided for him Ceri,"
"Why are you still so angry?" I said.
"If he means nothing to you, the what's the big deal in hearing him out," Jana said.
"So come on Ceri, What's is it?" I said.
"He walked out on me. On Rhydian and his unborn child," Ceri said. "I can't just forgive and forget,"
"Basically what happened with mine, Him and Mum argued a lot then one day he just up and left. Never seen him again. Not till a month before," I said. "So yeah, Ceri, I can get that, But He is actually trying when mine should have by now. Hell, He never even turned up to my own Mum funeral. Hell Chris was there, Even Derek Basically my whole pack was there and he didn't brother he ass showing up,"
"I didn't," Jana said.
"Stop, It was never something I liked talking about," I said.
"What did she do," Ceri said.
"She was a healer. Well nurse. She working in the hospital back home," I said.
"If you can't forgive him, then maybe Rhydian can," Jana said.
Then Ceri left and then Came back in with Gerwyn.
"Oh hey, Thank you," Gerwyn said. "Oh lovely, Glad to see you embracing Civilization Ceri,"
"Oi, It's mine," I said.
"I'm not, We're going back to the wild in a few days time," Ceri said.
"huh? You didn't mention that," Gerwyn said.
"Oh well, I'm not going," Rhyd said. "I'm staying with my foster mum. Well not here, At hers, She lives on the other side of the village,"
Not long later.
Dacia came down.
"Hey Gerwyn," Dacia said.
"You know my dad?" Rhyd said.
"Yeah," Dacia said. "Why don't you tell your son why you really here? Fine I'll tell them, Gerwyn on the run for embezzling millions of pound from Segolia,"
"What?" Rhyd said.
"It's why he showed up here now," Dacia said. "Looking for a place to hide?"
"No that's not true," Gerwyn said.
"It is true," Dacia said.
"I told you he couldn't be trusted," Ceri said.
"Enough," I said.
"It's why they sent me to your school in the first place. To see if you've been in contact with him," Dacia said.
"So you've been using us," I said.
"No, I haven't been using anyone," Gerwyn said.
"Both of you," Rhyd said.
Then he left.
"Don't let her leave," Gerwyn said.
"Why?" I said.
"Cause he deserves to know the truth," Gerwyn said.
Then Dacia tried to leave. But Jana stopped her.
"So you were never here to tell us about Maddy, Just for Segolia's own sick like game," I said.
"No," Dacia said.
"Don't bullshit me, I know people like you, Last one I came across I wish I killed him," I said.
Then I went and got my M9 and came back into the room.
"It's the truth I swear someone is framing me," Gerwyn said.
"Just don't tell them you've seen him, That's all we're asking," Rhyd said.
"It's too late, I've already call them, When you First arrived," Dacia said.
"Shit," I said.
"I'm sorry, I thought I was protecting you, They said he was dangerous," Dacia said.
"Dangerous, I work in accounts," Gerwyn said.
"He works in accounts," Rhyd said.
Then Aran came in.
"3 Wolfbloods, wearing black coming this way," Aran said.
"I should go," Gerwyn said.
"They're too close now anyway," I said.
"Hell, Is anyone at home?" Jeffries said. "Sorry the door was, It was open,"
"Jeffries, Just because a door is open doesn't mean you can just invite yourself in," I said.
"Scott," Jeffries said.
"Don't try that Teacher Shit with me now, We aren't in school meaning you can't do shit," I said.
"The rumours are too," Jeffries said.
"Hello, Mr. Jeffries," Jana said.
"Welcome back to Stoneybridge, Jana," Jeffries said.
"We were just passing through, Really," Ceri said.
"Yeah, Our travellers camp got raided," Jana said.
"They came here next, And couldn't really say no," I said.
"Take a seat sir," Rhyd said. "Keep him here, it'll buy us time," He whispered.
"Scott," Jeffries said.
"You are already here, So pull up a chair just don't do it again," I said.
"This is Gerwyn, Jana's Mum new partner," Rhyd said. "And that is,"
"My Brother," Gerwyn said.
"Hi," Jeffries said. "Weren't you at the Careers Fair,"
"Yeah," Dacia said.
"I asked her if she could stop round for a bit talk more about well you know," I said.
"But unfortunately she has to leave now," Rhyd said. "She's meeting a friend,"
"Yeah Sorry," Dacia said.
Then She left and and I got Aran and we and Rhyd headed down to the Den.
"I need you to do this for me," Rhyd said.
"There is still time if you go now, Just follow that path," I said.
Then he Started.
"Aran," I said making him look back. "Good luck," Then he took off.
"Now what," Rhyd said.
"I deal with the so called head of Segolia," I said.
"You mean we," Rhyd said.
"No me," I said. Then I headed.
And found them
"That's Scott, The Alpha here," Dacia said.
"Hello Scott," Victoria said. "You going to hand over Rhydian's Father over or we have to come in there and get him?"
"Be a bit risky with a human teacher inside," I said.
"He won't be in there forever," Victoria said.
"True, What happens if I do turn him over," I said.
"We take him back for questioning," Victoria said.
"Then What?" I said.
"If he tell us the truth, and we get our money back we let him go," Victoria said.
"Just like that?" I said.
"Just like that," Victoria said.
"Well he hasn't he told me everything and I got a really good Bullshit detector, He innocent," I said.
"That's for others to decide," Victoria said.
"If they decide he is guilty," I said.
"He get his just punishment," Victoria said.
"What does Segolia call just," I said.
"We take him far away where the cold north winds blow and wolves roam wild, Then we leave him there," Victoria said.
"That's not Justice," I said.
Then She growls at me, and I flash my eyes. "It's wolfblood justice," She said.
"In case you haven't notice, This ain't your Territory. It's mine, My Territory, My Say. 15 minutes. Then you get your answer oh, and If you don't like it, Try anything. And Segolia is going to send 3 body Bags," I said. "I'm glad we under stand each other," Then Walked away.
Then Got back.
"What's Happening?" Jana said.
"There's 2 options, One I throw Gerwyn here to the Wolves. Or 2 But I don't know yet," I said.
"Sorry Dad," Rhyd said. "For us,"
Then We went out.
"He's coming out," Rhyd said.
"Rhyd, I can't do this," Gerwyn said.
"Dad," Rhyd said.
Then He ran off. And Rhyd and I headed back in. "Now we wait," I said as we got to the den.
Then we heard Laughing and it was Gerwyn.
"Thank you Rhydian," Gerwyn said. "Nice move by the way,"
"There's a second option," I said.
"how did you lose them," Ceri said.
"I've got a few moves Victoria Sweeney doesn't know about," Gerwyn said. "I can still do Eolas, She can't, None of them city Wolfbloods can,"
"So the switch went okay then?" Jana said.
"Oh yes, Like Clock work," Gerwyn said. "Aran will lead them a merry dance,"
"He Couldn't wait to get back to the pack anyway," Jana said.
"Come on Dad, I'll show you the room you can use," Rhyd said.
"Rhydian," Gerwyn said.
"I would let you stay with me," Rhyd said.
"Rhyd, Gerwyn has to go, We only bought him time, Time he can't waste," I said.
"I've got to," Gerwyn said.
"You're leaving again," Rhyd said.
"It's not because I want to, Some one in Segolia is Covering their tracks, They maybe gone now," Gerwyn said.
"They're gonna be back, Rhyd, The further he is away the safer you are," I said.
"Let him go Rhydian He's trying to do the right thing, For once," Ceri said.
"Where would you go," Rhyd said.
"I'll think of Somewhere," Gerwyn said.
"Things will die down," Rhyd said.
"And when they do Rhyd he can come back," I said.
Then he left.
