Author's Notes: Hi, Everyone! Sorry to keep you waiting for this episode, but I needed a little more time to work it out, now that I'm doing everything by myself. As a result of that, Yumiko may have more personality than you've been seeing, as when I went back to review the previous episodes, I found out that out of all our main characters, Yumiko, our MAIN CHARACTER, has the LEAST amount of total dialogue. I've assumed this was due to R not providing as much dialogue for a character that she created, and as a result, she's very…..flat, personality-wise. So if you think she's gone OoC, ignore it. It's just me trying to develop her character more.

Anyways, off to the character info! It's Pierce!

Age/Birthday: 25/ May 11th (Taurus)

Trivia:

His name was created by combining names from Bond Actors. I found this was fitting, since he uses SPYRALS.

His Legend/Accursed Card is The Suppression Pluto. I know I said I wouldn't use cards that were important to the plots of the pre-existing animes/manga, but I sorta worked a way around that.

Also, one last thing before we get on with the episode: I forgot to add the Headcanon VA on Pandora's info sheet last episode, so here it is: Venus Terzo (Somewhere between her Transformers Blackarachnia voice, and her Jean Gray voice from X-Men: Evolution. I originally meant for her to sound like Tier Harribel from Bleach, but she's voiced by Laura Bailey, and I can't see her voicing Pandora. Also, there was a reference I was going to make later, so yeah. Venus Terzo.)

Episode 33: Showdown at the Oakley Corral

Last episode, Colt Dueled against Legend Hunter Xander Crest, losing spectacularly, with Xander not taking so much as a single point of damage. While Colt's virus cards bypassed his opponent's ability to make his monsters unable to be destroyed by battle, it was all for not. Xander, however, did admit Colt had skill, just bad luck, which now leaves Yumiko to Duel the final Legend Hunter within ISB Custody, Oakley Aimsworth…..

It is now a few minutes from where we left off in the previous episode. Colt and Nami have now settled into a comfortable position in the viewing arena overlooking the Duel Arena, while Yumiko starts walking towards her position in it, across from Oakley. Once she makes it, she speaks to her opponent.

"Don't think I'll be as much of a pushover as Colt was, Oakley! If it means we get Kiba back, I'm going to give you one hell of a fight, special powers or not, regardless of what you look like!"

Oakley tips his hat towards Yumiko, and then removes it from his head, placing it gently on the ground.

"In that case, Miss, I hope ya don't think what I'm 'bout to do improper."

He begins to take off his shirt. Yumiko's eyes widen as her cheeks turn scarlet.

"Wh-why are you doing that!? Does every male Legend Hunter Abraxas Corp. have possess a tendency for stripping!?"

Oakley blushes a little as he folds his shirt and places it on the ground, under his hat. He shakes his head, replying to Yumiko's question.

"I don't. Can't say the same 'bout ole iron-assed Xander, though. But I don't wanna ruin this shirt, not when you nice folk were so kind ta lend it ta me."

"What does that have to do with removing it!?"

"Easy. Most Legend Hunters wear specially-made clothes that are designed ta change form when their wearer enters Hunter Mode. But with me and Xander bein' hospitalized 'for we got to this safehouse, we don't have 'em. Xander had that revealin' little number y'all saw during yer friend's Duel, but that was only 'cos Bright held on ta his hoodie for him. If it hadn't been fer that, Xander woulda Dueled as naked as the day he was born, and he wouldn't a minded!"

Yumiko's face turns redder, and Oakley starts laughing. Off in the side-lines, Nami spits out a drink she was sipping on, and Xander sweatdrops as he looks away from Bright, who glares at him with murder in her eyes.

Meanwhile, back in the Arena, Oakley's eyes narrow, and he speaks.

"Number 07, Hunter Mode, Activate!"

Oakley's body glows with a faint blue-gray light. His legs become a bit more defined, the growth reducing his pants to ragged shorts. His chest does bulk up a little, but not so much that it would have ruined his shirt. At least, not until batlike wings erupt from his back. His hands turn clawed, and when the light dims, we see his face now sports two small fangs, sprouting from his mouth, as well as pointed ears, and his skin tone is now a few tones lighter than that of his spiky indigo hair, which now ends in bright yellow tips.

He stretches, and then picks up his hat, placing it back on his head as Yumiko looks on with wide eyes, shaking a little as she looks at him. He grimaces.

"Sorry 'bout that, little lady. I know I look frightenin', but that's what happens when ya got mixed with hawk and bat DNA, as well as some stuff yah don't even know bout."

Yumiko slowly raises her Duel Disk up.

"Your looks are intimidating, I'll admit, but it's your Dueling skills I want to see!"

Oakley grins, raising his own Disk.

"That's the right trail of though right there! I'll be happy to oblige!"

Yumiko's looks at Oakley, and frowns.

"By the way, what's your power in this form?"

Oakley smirks.

"Awwww, sorry, Little Lady, I'm 'fraid that there's a secret fer now."

"Tch! Fine, be that way! Let's Duel!"

The Arena's AR system hums to life.

DUEL START!

Yumiko and Oakley play "Rock, Paper, Scissors" to see who goes first.

"ROCK!"

"PAPER!"

"SCISSORS!"

Yumiko throws Scissors, Oakley throws Rock. Oakley goes first.

"Awrighty then! I'll start off this here Duel by Summonin' Magical Musketeer Starfire in DEF Mode!"

A woman in a green and white dress, wearing a black veil, emerges onto the field, twirling as if she's dancing.

During either player's turn, you can activate "Magical Musket" Spell/Trap Cards from your hand. If a Spell/Trap Card is activated in this card's column: You can Special Summon 1 Level 4 or lower "Magical Musket" monster from your Deck in Defense Position, except "Magical Musketeer Starfire". You can only use this effect of "Magical Musketeer Starfire" once per turn.

"This fine lady here makes it so I can play my Magical Musket cards straight from my hand, even durin' yer turn, so yer gonna need ta worry about what I might have up my sleeves!"

Yumiko grimaces. Oakley speaks.

"I end my turn!"

Yumiko's Turn.

Yumiko draws, and then looks at her hand, a plan forming.

"As long as that monster of his remains on the field, he could pull of anything from his hand…I need to figure a way around that….."

She speaks.

"Alright, Oakley! I'll start off my first turn of this Duel by Summoning Disciple of Nephthys in DEF Mode!"

Disciple of Nephthys

Level 2/WIND/Spellcaster/Effect/ATK 0/DEF 2000

During your Main Phase: You can destroy 1 card in your hand, and if you do, add 1 "Nephthys" monster from your Deck to your hand, except of "Disciple of Nephthys". During your nest Standby Phase after this card was destroyed by card effect and sent to the GY: You can add 1 "Nephthys" Spell/Trap card from your Deck to your hand. You can only use each effect of "Disciple of Nephthys" once per turn.

A young girl in a red dress appears, her face hidden by an oversized headdress. Yumiko continues.

"I now use my Disciple's effect! By destroying a card in my hand, I'll be allowed to add a Nephthys monster to my hand! Fiery Grasp!"

Yumiko's monster cheers, and crushes an image of the card in her hands, engulfing it in flames. When she opens her hand, the ashes re-form into a new card, which Yumiko adds to her hand.

"I then play my Ritual Spell, Rebirth of Nephthys!"

Ritual Spell Card

This card can be used to Ritual Summon any "Nephthys" Ritual Monster. You must also Tribute monsters from your hand or field whose total Levels equal or exceed the Level of the Ritual Monster you Ritual Summon. Then, if you Tributed "Devotee of Nephthys" or "Cerulean Sacred Phoenix of Nephthys" you can destroy 1 card on the field.

"I Tribute another Disciple of Nephthys that is in my hand, in order to Ritual Summon my Conductor of Nephthys!"

Oakley whistles.

"Yeah, I'm gonna have ta burst yer bubble there, Little Lady. I now use my Starfire's effect in order to activate my Counter Trap! Magical Musket- Last Stand!"

Counter Trap Card

When your opponent activates a Spell/Trap Card while you control a "Magical Musket" monster; Negate the activation, and if you do, destroy that card. You can only activate 1 "Magical Musket- Last Stand" per turn.

Oakley's Starfire gets a gleam in her eyes, and pulls a small pistol out. His Trap emerges as she fires it, and Oakley keeps talking.

"This Trap here negates yer Spell, which stops yer special monster from bein' able to come out!"

Oakley's Trap fires a barrage of gunfire from it, riddling Yumiko's Spell with holes, causing it to lose color before shattering. As Yumiko growls, she flinches a little, as she feels something strike her cheek.

"Wha-?"

Her eyes widen.

"Wait, what just happened? I didn't take damage!"

"That's where you'd be wrong, Little Lady! Ya did!"

"But, how? Your card doesn't inflict damage!"

Her eyes narrow at Oakley's smug grin.

"Unless…That's it, isn't it? Your power. You inflict damage to your opponent each time you destroy an opponent's card!"

Oakley nods his head, tipping his hat at Yumiko with a clawed hand.

"Got it in one!"

Yumiko grits her teeth.

"That's going to get annoying quick!"

"It gets even worse, I'm 'fraid! Y'see, since I activated my Counter Trap in Starfire's column, her effect allows me to Special Summon Magical Musketeer Doc from my Deck in DEF Mode!"

During either player's turn, you can activate "Magical Musket" Spell/Trap Cards from your hand. If a Spell/Trap Card is activated in this card's column: You can add 1 "Magical Musket" card from your GY to your hand, but not a card with the same name as that activated card. You can only use this effect of "Magical Musketeer Doc" once per turn.

A monster in a long white coat and glasses emerges onto Oakley's field, and then kneels, readying his rifle. Yumiko grimaces.

"I stand corrected: This is more annoying! I end my turn!"

Oakley's Turn.

Oakley draws, and speaks up.

"Gotta say, Little Lady, yer Duelin' skills seem up to snuff! Yer plan ta Ritual Summon was good, and ya have a Monster with a good 'nuff Defense that I can't destroy her, but…."

He gets a gleam in his eyes.

"I have ways. I Summon Magical Musketeer Caspar in DEF Mode!"

During either player's turn, you can activate "Magical Musket" Spell/Trap Cards from your hand. You can only use this effect of "Magical Musketeer Caspar" once per turn.

"I then shift my Doc and Starfire to ATK Mode!"

Oakley's Doc stands up, and re-positions his rifle, while his Starfire draws her pistol.

Quick-Play Spell Card

If you control a "Magical Musket" monster: Target 1 face-up monster on the field; until the end of the turn, change its ATK/DEF to 0, also it has its effects negated. You can only activate 1 "Magical Musket- Cross-Domination" per turn.

Doc takes aim, and Oakley's Spell appears in front of his rifle as Oakley speaks.

"This here Spell reduces yer monster's ATK and DEF ta 0, and negates her effects, meanin' she's weak 'nuff ta be a prime target!"

Oakley's Spell fires, and hits her Disciple, causing her to lose all color.

Disciple of Nephthys

Yumiko's eyes widen in panic for a moment, then narrow in anger.

"No! I'll make you pay for that, Oakley!"

Her opponent, on the other hand, just chuckles a bit before answering.

"I'm sure ya will, Little Lady, but I think Caspar here,"

He gestures to his monster.

"Will allow me to stock up with some protection. Y'see, since I activated my Cross-Domination in his column, he allows me to add a Magical Musket card to my hand, long as it ain't another copy of what I just used! Time ta load up!"

Caspar nods, and throws a shell into the air, which glows golden, and morphs into the shape of a card. Oakley snatches it out of the air, grinning.

"And now, I activate my Magical Musket- Fiendish Deal from my hand, in Doc's Column!"

Continuous Trap Card

"Magical Musket" monsters you control cannot be destroyed by card effects. If this card in your possession is sent to your GY by an opponent's card effect: You can add 1 "Magical Musket" card from your Deck or GY to your hand, except "Magical Musket- Fiendish Deal". You can only activate 1 "Magical Musket- Fiendish Deal" per turn.

Yumiko looks on.

"And since you activated this Trap in his column, what effect does your monster use?"

Oakley grins.

"Smart, aren't ya? Since it was Doc, he lets me re-claim a Magical Musket card in my GY, as long as it ain't one with the same name as the one I just used! I choose to salvage my Last Stand!"

Doc tosses a shell, which changes into the Trap Oakley just stated, which is then added to his hand. He then grins.

"And now that all that reloadin's done, I now attack yer there Disciple with my Doc! Mercy Kill!"

Oakley's monster raises his rifle, and shoots, shattering the gem on Disciple of Nephthys' headdress, and causing her to shatter. Yumiko flinches as the shot grazes her.

"Guh!"

Oakley smirks.

"I might a been a little too hasty ta say you were doin' good, Little Lady! Starfire! Attack her LP directly! Mournin' Dance!"

Starfire dances, shooting as she does so. Yumiko guards herself as she's hit by the attack.

"I'm not giving up, Oakley! I'm taken worse hits!"

Yumiko's LP: 6100

Oakley tips his hat, grinning.

"In that case, show me what yah've got! I end my turn fer now with a face-down!"

Turn End.

Yumiko's Turn.

Yumiko draws, a wild smile on her face.

"I'll take your courtesy, and use it to make a comeback!"

She looks at the card she's just drawn. Her smile gets even wider.

"And since it's the next Standby Phase of my next turn, I call on my Sacred Phoenix of Nephthys to emerge onto my field from my GY!"

A portal opens onto Yumiko's field, and a torrent of flames erupts from it, before Yumiko's Phoenix manifests from them onto the field with a cry.

"I live! Bow to my presence, mortals!"

Sacred Phoenix of Nephthys

Level 8/FIRE/Winged Beast/Effect/ATK 2400/DEF 1600

Once per turn, during your next Standby Phase after this card was destroyed by a card effect and sent to the GY: Special Summon this card from the GY. If you do: Destroy all Spell and Trap card on the field.

Oakley whistles, and then frowns, raising an eyebrow in confusion.

"Impressive, but how'd ya bring her out? I don't remember sendin' her to the GY!"

Yumiko answers smugly.

"Because I sent her. She was the card I destroyed in order to use my Disciple's effect last turn!"

Oakley's eyes widen in realization as he recollects that moment. Yumiko keeps going.

"And since she was Special Summoned using this effect, she now takes out all Spell and Trap cards on the field! Obliterating Ashes!"

"With Pleasure!

Yumiko's Phoenix cries out, and Oakley groans when his Fiendish Deal and his face-down card are destroyed with a wave of ash.

Face-down card destroyed was "Magical Musket-Last Stand".

"Awww shucks, now my monsters can be destroyed by card effects again. Oh well, there's a silver linin', at least."

Oakley's eyes gleam.

"Fiendish Deal allows me to add a Magical Musket card to my hand from my Deck or GY when it's sent to the GY, and I know just the card!"

A devil-like being appears, cackling, and drops the Spell back into Oakley's hand. Yumiko keeps going.

"And now that we've taken care of that, I now Summon my Sonic Bird, in ATK Mode!"

Sonic Bird

Level 4/WIND/Effect/ATK 1400/1000

When this card is Normal or Flip Summoned: You can add 1 Ritual Spell Card from your Deck to your hand.

An eagle with a jet pack and goggles shoots out onto Yumiko's field, and she speaks confidently.

"And since I Summoned him, I now use his effect to add a Ritual Spell to my hand, which is just what I need!"

The card is added to her hand, and Yumiko smiles even more.

"And now I play my Spell Rebirth of Nephthys! Try negating it this time!"

Blue light starts emerging from Yumiko's spell.

"I offer up the Hand of Nephthys in my hand as Tribute, in order to Ritual Summon my Conductor of Nephthys! Come forth!"

A transparent form of Yumiko's sacrificed monster enters the Spell, and with a rumbling sound, a young girl in scarlet and orange emerges from the card with golden light.

Conductor of Nephthys

Level 2/WIND/Spellcaster/Ritual/Effect/ATK 2000/ DEF 0

You can Ritual Summon this card with "Rebirth of Nephthys". If this card is Ritual Summoned, you can Special Summon 1 "Nephthys" Ritual monster from your hand or Deck, except for "Conductor of Nephthys" (This is treated as a Ritual Summon.) If this card is Tributed or destroyed by a "Nephthys" Card effect, you can activate this effect during the Standby Phase: Destroy up to 3 "Nephthys" cards, except Ritual Monsters, one each from your hand, Deck, and field. You can only use each effect of "Conductor of Nephthys" once per turn.

Yumiko's Conductor clasps her hands together, reciting something as Yumiko keeps going.

"And now, I call on my Conductor's special ability! I can now call on another Nephthys Ritual monster to manifest from my Deck! I call on my Sacred Cerulean Phoenix!"

Conductor finishes her chant, and opens her hands, revealing a small flame, which grows larger and turns bright blue, before a blue version of Yumiko's Phoenix appears from them with a cry.

Cerulean Sacred Phoenix of Nephthys

Level 8/FIRE/Winged Beast/Ritual/Effect/ATK 3000/DEF 1000

You can Ritual Summon this card with "Rebirth of Nephthys". You can only use each of the following effects of "Cerulean Sacred Phoenix of Nephthys" once per turn.

During your Main Phase: You can destroy "Nephthys" cards in your hand and/or face-up field, then destroy and equal number of monsters your opponent controls.

During your Standby Phase after this card was destroyed by battle or card effect and sent to the GY: You can Special Summon this card from the GY.

Oakley pales at the overwhelming might of his opponent's monsters. Yumiko throws out her hand.

"And now that I have my Cerulean Sacred Phoenix on the field, I now use her effect to destroy my Sacred Phoenix and my Conductor to destroy up to two cards you control!"

Oakley grins.

"Yeah, I ain't lettin' that happen. I play the Spell Cross-Domination from my hand, usin' it in my Caspar's column to negate yer bluebird's effect and reduce yer monster's ATK to 0!"

Caspar's gun fires the Spell, and Yumiko's monster loses her color.

Sacred Cerulean Phoenix of Nephthys

Oakley continues.

"I then use Caspar's effect to add a new Magical Musket card to my hand!"

Yumiko growls.

"In that case, I now use my both of my Phoenixes and my Conductor to open the Link Gate! The requirements are 2+ monsters, with at least 1 Ritual Monster!"

The three monsters enter the Gate, and Yumiko chants.

"Oh great Goddess, Grace us with your presence and ignite your purifying flames! I Link Summon Nephthys, the Sacred Flame!"

Golden-white flames spew forth from the Link Gate, and with a shuddering cry, a bright scarlet bird emerges.

2+ monsters, including a Ritual Monster

While this card is in the Extra Monster Zone, monsters your opponent controls cannot target "Nephthys" monsters in the Main Monster Zones for attacks. This card gains effects based on the number of Ritual monsters used for its Link Summon.

1+: Cannot be destroyed by battle.

2+: Cannot be destroyed by card effects, also it gains 1200 ATK.

3: Neither player can target this card with card effects, also it gains another 1200 ATK.

Oakley narrows his eyes.

"Oh, Hell no! I ain't lettin' ya get away with that! I activate Magical Musket-Desperado from my hand, in Doc's column, which lets me destroy both yer Monster and recycle a card from my GY!"

Trap Card

If you control a "Magical Musket" monster: Target 1 face-up card on the field; destroy it. You can only activate 1 "Magical Musket- Desperado" per turn.

Oakley's Trap fires a shell at Yumiko's Link Monster as he speaks.

"This here destroys yer bird! Sorry Little Lady!"

Yumiko grins. The shell never makes it. It explodes upon contact with the Divine Aura of Yumiko's monster.

Oakley goes wide-eyed.

"What in tarnation!?"

Yumiko's Duel Spirit speaks.

"This odd-speaking one isn't very bright, is he?"

Oakley snarls in response.

"Hey!"

Yumiko shakes her head, amused as she explains.

"Nephthys, the Sacred Flame can't be destroyed by card effects if she was brought out with at least two Ritual Monsters, and to top it all off, she gains 1200 ATK to boot!"

Yumiko's monster glows a moment, her power growing.

Yumiko grins.

"And now it's time for payback! Sonic Bird! Attack his Magical Musketeer Starfire! Sonic Stream!"

Sonic Bird fires up his jet pack, and crashes into Oakley's monster, causing her to cry out in pain before shattering. Oakley winces.

"Uh!"

Oakley's LP: 7900

Yumiko keeps going.

"Now, Nephthys, the Sacred Flame! Attack his Magical Musketeer Doc! Phoenix Star Blast!"

"Gladly!"

Yumiko's monster rains down fireballs down from the sky, incinerating the attacked monster. A bit of flames hit Oakley's shorts, and he hurriedly puts it out.

"Hot, Hot, Hot! Eeeeeeeeouwwwwwwch!"

Oakley's LP: 5700

Yumiko's monster nods in approval.

"You're doing well, child! Now, let us see what our opponent may have in store."

Yumiko nods.

"Yeah! I end my turn, Oakley! Show me what you have!"

Turn End.

Oakley's Turn.

"Alrighty then, I draw!"

He looks at his hand before continuing.

"And I play the Spell Reload in Caspar's column, which not only allows me to get three more cards, but also lets me add a Magical Musket card to my hand!"

Add all cards in your hand to your Deck and shuffle it. Then draw the same number of cards that you added to your Deck.

Oakley looks at the new cards in his hand, and grins.

"Alright! I lay one card face-down, and then Tribute my Caspar to Summon Magical Musket Mastermind Zakiel in ATK Mode!"

You can Tribute Summon this card face-up by Tributing 1 "Magical Musket" monster. During either player's turn, you can activate "Magical Musket" Spell/Trap Cards from your hand. Once per turn, during your opponent's End Phase: You can draw cards equal to the number of "Magical Musket" Spell/Trap Cards you activated this turn while this card was face-up on your field. You can only use this effect of "Magical Musket Mastermind Zakiel" once per turn.

The devil-like monster emerges onto the field with a cackle, and Yumiko looks on oddly.

"Why bring him out? He's weaker than my Sacred Flame!"

Oakley tips his hat.

"That is true, but he is strong enough to take out yer Sonic Bird! Go get 'em!"

Zakiel cackles, and fires a barrage from his twin guns. The bird shatters, and Oakley grins.

"Whoooooooo-wheeee! That was a bit much! Can't say there's much meat left on that bird!"

Yumiko flinches as she's hit by both the damage from the attack and the damage inflicted by Oakley's power. She says nothing.

Yumiko's LP: 4700

Oakley pumps a clawed fist in the air, his wings excitedly flapping a bit.

"That felt good! I end my turn!"

Turn End.

Yumiko's Turn.

Yumiko draws, speaking as she does so.

"Alright then! Time to burst your bubble, Oakley! I attack your Magical Musket Mastermind with my Sacred Flame! Go, Phoenix Star Blast!"

Once more, Yumiko's monster rains down golden-white fire, but before it can come into contact with Oakley's monster, he smiles, and a Trap card on his field activates.

"I'mma stop ya right there! I activate my Trap! Lumenize!"

When an opponent's monster declares an attack: Target the attacking monster; negate the attack, and 1 face-up LIGHT monster you control gain ATK equal to that target's ATK, until your next End Phase.

The Trap card flashes, and the fireballs dissolve. Yumiko scowls, and Oakley's monster cackles as Oakley explains.

"This little number here negates yer attack, and boosts my Zakiel's ATK by an amount equal to yer monster's!

A young man in cowboy-like attire emerges onto the field, and Oakley then inserts a card into his Disk.

"I then play my Magical Musket- Dancin' Needle Trap in Kidbrave's column!"

"With this, I can banish up ta three cards from yer GY, and thanks ta Kidbrave, I can now discard a Magical Musket card to draw two cards! I choose yer two Phoenixes, and yer Conductor! Fire!"

Oakley's Trap fires three sharp, light shots, and impale three cards from Yumiko's GY, banishing them. Oakley, in the meantime, draws two cards before continuing.

"I now lay a card, face-down, and then, I'm getting rid of yer bird! Zakiel, attack her monster! Black Fox Barrage!"

Zakiel cackles, firing rapidly, but Oakley frowns when, after the smoke clears, Yumiko's monster is still there.

Yumiko's LP: 2200

"What the hell!? Why is it still standin'!?"

Yumiko frowns.

"Nephthys can't be destroyed by battle when I use at least one Ritual Monster to bring her out! I may take the damage, but I'm still keeping her!"

Oakley frowns.

"And since it's now the end of my turn, my Lumenize's boost wears off….."

Yumiko's Turn.

Yumiko draws, and speaks.

"In that case, it's time to end this! I'll start off by activating my Trap, Phoenix Wing Wind Blast!"

"I discard one card in order to bounce your Mastermind back to the top of your Deck, leaving you defenseless!"

Yumiko's Trap emits a wave of searing heat, which sends Oakley's monster flying. Oakley sweatdrops.

"Oh crap…"

Yumiko continues.

"I then Summon my Defender of Nephthys in ATK Mode!"

Defender of Nephythys

Level 2/WIND/Spellcaster/Effect/ATK 1400/ DEF/ 200

During your Main Phase: You can destroy 1 card in your hand, and if you do, Special Summon 1 Level 4 or lower "Nephthys" monster from your hand, except "Defender of Nephthys". During your next Standby Phase after this card was destroyed by card effect and sent to the GY: You can destroy 1 "Nephthys" monster in your Deck, except "Defender of Nephthys". You can only use each effect of "Defender of Nephthys" once per turn.

Yumiko throws her hand out, her eyes steely.

"Now, Defender of Nephthys! Attack his LP directly! Feather Blade!"

Yumiko's monster swings her large blade, and brings it down on Oakley, striking him.

"Gah!"

Oakley's LP: 4300

"And now, Sacred Flame, attack!"

Yumiko's monster rains fire down, and Oakley does his best to extinguish the flames as the singe him.

"Yeeeeee-owch!"

Oakley's LP: 700

Yumiko grins.

"I end my turn, Oakley!"

Turn End.

Oakley's Turn.

Oakley draws, and speaks up, grinning.

"Whelp. I'm gonna go out with a bang! I Tribute my Kidbrave to once more bring out my Zakiel!"

Magical Musket Mastermind Zakiel

ATK 2500

Yumiko frowns, and Oakley chuckles.

"Zakiel! Attack her Defender!"

Zakiel laughs as he fires off round after round, riddling the ponytailed warrior with holes, shattering her.

Yumiko winces.

Yumiko's LP: 800

Yumiko speaks up.

"You knew you had nothing else, didn't you?"

Oakley tilts his hat towards her, nodding.

"Yep. But it was fun! I end my turn!"

Turn End.

Yumiko's Turn.

Yumiko smiles a bit as she draws her final card.

"It was fun, Oakley. Nephthys, the Sacred Flame, attack his Zakiel! Phoenix Star Blast!"

The golden flames rain down, taking out Oakley's monster, and the last of his life points. He throws his hat into the air.

"Good fer you, Miss!"

Oakley's LP: 0

DUEL OVER!

WINNER: Yumiko

The AR Field of the Arena dies down as Oakley changes back to normal, and begins to put both his shirt and hat back on. He walks over to Yumiko, and puts out his hand. Yumiko shakes it, and he speaks.

"Great game! I think you and yer friends are ready ta take on Abraxas!"

Yumiko nods.

"Thank you. I look forward to Dueling along side you and your friends, Oakley."

Oakley grins widely.

"Glad ta hear it!"

Nami's voice rings through the Arena.

"YUMIKO!"

Yumiko turns around, and sees Nami, Colt, Pandora, and the others all entering the room. All of them are smiling. Nami continues, Colt beside her.

"You did it, Yumi! You beat him! We can take on Abraxas now!"

Colt speaks.

"Soon, but not yet, Nami."

Pierce nods.

"I must agree. You, Mister Blackstone need more training, and you all….."

He looks at our heroes.

"Need to be taught the ISB's procedures, so you know what to do during the raid."

Yumiko nods.

"Just one more step to getting Kiba back-!"

Our three heroes begin to talk with Pierce, while Oakley turns around to find his compatriots, smiling faintly. Xander puts his arm around Oakely's shoulder.

"Don't worry, dawg! We got ya! Sides, Princess and I knew ya wouldn't do great!"

Oakley deadpans.

"Gee, thanks, Iron Ass."

Bright smiles.

"You did do better than expected, though. I mean, you got her down to 800 points. That's not bad."

Oakley sweatdrops.

The scene fades to black.

Author's Notes: Yay! It's done! It only took two of my free days to write this! I'm still not sure about the name for it, though. I might change it before I post it.

In the meantime, I've been playing Hades, a lot. A LOT. Like I haven't even played Monster Hunter: Rise yet, because I started playing Hades first.
