Good morning, my dears! We're back with these loves. I think we can all agree it's a good thing Alice is around to go lockdown on their lockdown!
Thank you to Fran S. Sunflower & DaniDarlingxx.
Day 6: March 18, 2020

I frown down at my phone, thumbing through my emails. Classes are still canceled, and I can't get anyone from the school to tell me if my scholarship will hold out through this shit. I'm on a full ride, and I need that money to cover me. Without it, I have to get one hell of a job to cover my ass. It's been a blessing not to have to work while I'm in school. I mean, I'm on scholarship, so I guess school is my job right now, but still.
I groan, tossing my phone onto the coffee table. Jas is playing Call of Duty next to me on the TV.
"Dude, let me jump in," I demand. He nods, pausing the game.
"You all good?"
I grunt. "No one will answer me about my scholarship," I say.
"I'm sure you're covered," he says slowly. I look at him. "And if not, I can see about getting you a job with my company."
Jasper is a business major, and he's got an actual job with a company downtown. He started as an intern in freshman year, but he's been working there for years now, and they love his ass.
I'm tempted to take him up on it. He's been working from home since the lockdown, and from what I can see, it seems pretty doable.
"We'll see," I hedge.
"Just let me know, man."
I look at him gratefully before we turn to the TV to focus on our video game.
I was still living in student housing at this point last year, and let me tell you, Emmett's worries about his scholarship money not coming through was so real! I had to hunt down several school administrators to make sure I was covered. Of course, most of them told me they couldn't guarantee anything, because all depended on the US and our then president. It was a nightmare waiting to hear back on anything.
I'll see you loves tomorrow!
