Loren sighs. "Yes, I'm fine, I did see her just now, but, she left."

"I wonder why? I told her to wait."

"It looks like she had something to do." Loren gets her things together. "I'll see you later Eddie."

"Yeah, I have to get going myself, see you around." He leaves and Loren exits the building too, she heads home, she's upset.

("I couldn't tell him his Pippa was in the back kissing his friend, I don't know if it's my place to say anything to him, he's about to tour and he'll be upset and his performance will suffer, if I tell Mel she'll yell at me for not saying anything to him.")

Loren stops in front of Mel's home and exits her car, she walks towards the back of her home. "I bet Mel's in the pool."

She gets closer and sees Nora sitting in a lounge chair sipping on a drink. "Hello Ms. Nora."

Nora hears Loren and sits up right away. "Hi Loren, please call me Nora, how are you?"

"I'm good, is Mel home?"

"She stepped out for a minute, Lisa needed something, are you okay? I can tell you're upset."

Loren sighs and sits across from Nora. "I'm feeling guilty."

"Why? What could you possibly feel guilty about."

"I lied to Eddie about his girlfriend, she's cheating, I couldn't tell him when he asked if I had seen her."

Nora smiles, Loren is so sweet and thoughtful. "Why do you feel it's your responsibility to tell him?"

"We're friends and.."

Nora looks at her. "And you're in love with him?"

Loren's eyes widen. "Wait what…how do you know?"

"I can tell by the way your face lights up when you say his name."

"Ugh, everyone can tell except Eddie."

"He's with another girl right now, and in his eyes you're his friend, it takes some men a while before they realize it."

"So you think he and I have a chance? Don't tell my father, he's against it."

"Why?" Nora knows why, but has to ask.

"He says I have my place in this world and I have to respect that." Loren sighs.

"I'm so sorry, he shouldn't think that way, nothing can get in your way when it's true love, nothing else matters, you should fall in love with the person you're meant to be with and not worry about their status."

Loren nods. "Can you talk to my father? "She bites her lower lip.

Nora sighs. "He'll get it one day, what about your..." Nora hesitates and continues. "What about your mother, can she help?"

"I lost my mom in an accident, I miss her so much and I need her." Loren looks at Nora. "I mean, don't get me wrong, I love my father but a girl will always need her momma no matter what."

Nora downcast her eyes and Loren looks at her. "Are you married Nora? Do you have any children?"

Nora avoids eye contact. "I'm married, but my husband and I are separated and he won't let me see our daughter."

"Oh my God, I'm so sorry, why would he keep you from her?"

"I hope to see her one day and tell her how much I love her and why I had to walk away."

Loren gets up and walks towards Nora. "You need a hug." She pulls Nora up and gives her a tight hug.

Lisa and Mel walk in, Lisa sighs, if only Loren knew that's her momma. Mel walks towards them.

"What's going on auntie Nora and Loren?"

Loren smiles. "Nora needed a hug."

Meanwhile…

"We have to come clean with Eddie." Tyler says.

"We will, I don't know how to tell him."

"Just be honest, tell him we're in love."

Pippa sits on his lap. "Why are you worried? Are you worried because Loren saw us? She won't say anything to him."

"How can you be sure? Did you see how she looked at us?"

"I did; poor thing is in love with Eddie."

"No way, seriously?" Tyler chuckles. "I mean she's a beautiful girl, but, she's not Eddie's type."

"Yeah I'm serious, Eddie's so blind, to notice how much she's into him, but, you're right, he likes class in a lady, and she has none."

"Hey I beg to differ, Loren's come a long way, I remember how sloppy she used to dress and now look at her, she's into fashion and a hottie." Tyler adds.

"Are you interested?" Pippa questions.

"No of course not, just saying she's come a long way, maybe we should get Eddie to notice her and you'll be off the hook." Tyler smirks.

"Forget it, I'll eventually tell Eddie the truth."

"You've been telling me you're going to talk to him, are you waiting for your 5th wedding anniversary to tell him you and I are in love and we want to be together."

Pippa holds his face and looks at him straight in the face. "I love you Ty, we'll eventually tell him." She leans in and kisses him.

Meanwhile…

Max and Katie are sitting by their pool. Max is looking through his iPad finalizing Eddie's New York tour.

"I admire Nora, she's so strong."

"Why?" Max wonders.

"She's a few houses away from Trent and her daughter, I don't know if I could do that."

"Does Trent know she's back?"

"I don't think so, he's staying busy with the remodeling of your office, he's making sure everything is done to your specifications, I don't think he knows she's here in town."

Max looks at his wife. "Please stay out of it."

"Loren deserves to know her mom is alive."

"That's Trent's problem to resolve."

"Ugh, by the way, I caught Eddie looking for engagement rings, I don't trust Pippa, when has she actually come here."

"She's busy recording her new material, she'll be very busy now that she's on her own in nearby cities."

"Remember how Chloe rubbed me the wrong way? Well Pippa does too."

"Our son is old enough to know what he's doing." He looks at his wife once more. "Darling, you're going to stay out of that too."

"You're no fun Max, I'm not allowed to say anything to Trent and voice my opinion to our son regarding his choices in women."

"I don't think you'll ever approve of any one he brings home."

"I still think he and Loren are a perfect match, have you seen them together?"

Max rolls his eyes. "I don't know what I'll do with you darling."

Katie stands up and sits on his lap. "I want our son to be just as smart as you were, you were smart enough to pick me, and look how happy we are, almost 25 years of marriage."

Max kisses her forehead. "I'm sure he'll be just as wise as I was."

"I'm not too sure." Katie teases.

Loren walks into the area. "HI Katie and Max."

Katie smiles when she sees Loren. "I've been waiting for you Loren."

"Do you need anything?" Loren wonders.

"I have this cute apartment in the back by the garages, I was wondering if you want to use it?"

"Seriously Katie? I'd love it."

"Come on let's go see it, I had it painted, all of the appliances are new and I bought a new bedroom set, now that you're working, I think it's perfect for you."

Loren smiles as they head towards the back to see the apartment.

"Eddie used to use it, and now he's in the city."

"I remember." Katie opens the door and they walk inside. "I already told Trent, and he agrees it's perfect for you, plus it's a secure area, what do you think?"

Loren smiles and walks around, it's has the perfect kitchen, eating area, nice TV area and a decent desk for work, she walks into the bedroom, it's has a queen bed, walk in closet and amazing bathroom. She looks at Katie.

"I love it, how much will it cost?"

Katie places her arm around Loren's shoulder. "Why would you think I'd charge you, it's all yours Loren."

"Are you sure?" Loren looks at Katie and she nods, they hug. "Thank you Katie, I love it."

"You're very welcome." Katie hugs her. "Loren, are you hungry?"

"Yes, I was about to go and see if there were any leftovers in the kitchen, what do you have in mind."

"I told your father to make sure Max grills hamburgers today and I can already smell them."

"Can I invite Mel?"

"Sure, text her and see if her mom and Nora want to come over."

Loren gets her phone out and sends Mel a text, they walk back to the grilling area and Max is already there flipping the burgers and hotdogs.

"Who's hungry?" Max asks.

"We are!" Katie and Loren respond.

Mel walks in with an apple pie. "I'm here and I have dessert."

"Where's your mom and Nora?" Katie questions.

"They had plans." Mel says, and places the pie on the table and looks at Loren. "I need to talk to you girl."

"What about?" They walk and sit in nearby chairs. "Why didn't you tell Eddie what you saw?"

"It's not my place, plus I have a feeling he wouldn't believe me." Loren says. "How did you find out?"

"Aunt Nora mentioned it, she said you're too sweet to love him that much that you don't want to hurt him, don't forget you're not hurting him, Pippa is doing that by cheating."

"I don't know, anyway, I will have my own apartment."
"You're moving?" Mel asks.

"No, Katie is letting me live in the apartment in the back by the garages that hold all of their automobiles."

"That's great, what will your father say?"

"Katie says she already told him and he said it's fine, I will start taking my things there, I will have so much space."

"I'm excited for you girl."

They hear a loud nice and a car stops in the driveway, both Loren and Mel turn around. "It's Eddie." Loren states.

He exits the car and walks towards his parents. "Pops, making your infamous burgers?"

"You bet, you got here just in time."

He looks towards Mel and Loren. "Hey girls, I can't reach Pippa, but, I can't find her."

"I bet we know where she's at." Mel mumbles.

Loren looks at her. "Mel, keep it down, what if he heard you?"

"It would be great to tell him, I bet she's with Ty."

Max looks at his son. "I think she's recording; she'll be doing a few shows on her own before she heads to New York."

"I remember, thought by now she'd be done."

Trent walks into the area with a tray of French fries and all the condiments for the burgers. Loren walks towards her father.

"Let me help you carry those things."

"It's okay honey, I got this."

After everyone enjoys their burgers and fries, Eddie walks to where his parents are talking to Mel and Loren.

"I wanted to share something with all of you."

Katie looks at him with a big smile. "What is it honey?"

He takes a small box out of the bag he's carrying and shows his parents. "I'm going to ask Pippa to marry me."

Katie sighs, Loren looks at Mel and quietly whispers. "Oh no, he can't marry her." Eddie's all smiles showing his parents the beautiful 5 carat ring.

Katie looks at the ring. "That's a lot of ring Eddie, are you sure that's the one you want."

"Yes, I plan on proposing before we leave." Eddie tells Katie.

A limo stops in front of the Duran Mansion, it's Pippa. Loren's eyes widen. ("Omg, is he going to ask her now? He can't marry her; if he only knew, he'll be heart broken.")

Katie notices. "What's wrong Loren? You ok?"
