Heyyy! I'm back! How long has it been? Close to a month already yes? So yea content for this story and my other one will resume. Though I had been posted to a new location with permission to book out. So I can continue writing at night and not hold it back till the weekends.
Also, this story, and my second one, have officially reached over 100 for both Favourites and Followers! Thank you all for sticking by so far and we now can move on to Jade's journey to Mistral to retrieve his other weapon. What is it? Stick by to find out.

Chapter 27
Old Encounters
It was then morning that Jade was the first to awaken and wonder why his chest felt so heavy and warm for some reason. His eyes fluttered open to see Blake happily resting on him as everything he and Blake did last night flooded his thoughts. Jade could only blushed heavily as his thoughts could only run as to what had happened.
"I did it… I actually did it with Blake last night! Can't believe I lost control of myself…" Jade internally sighed as he began to brush Blake's hair as her ears twitched in response to his touch.
"Mmm…" Blake let out a groan as she rubbed her face on his chest as she continued to sleep.
"Ok that's just adorable right there. Though… So much for trying to save it when I get married. Oh what would mom think of me if she had found out that I lost my virginity before getting married." Jade thought to himself.
It was then that he finally remembered that both of them were completely nude underneath the blanket and also that they needed to get out of the bed before either Ghira or Kali wondered why they were taking their time to come down for breakfast.
"Blakeeee." Jade whispered as he gently poked his girlfriend's ears as it flickered in response.
However, instead of getting a response from Blake, she just buried her face onto his exposed chest while unknowingly (Or on purpose, depends on how you see it.) pressing her moulds onto him. All while snuggling him tightly. Jade could only silently sigh as he just lay there with Blake sleeping on him for a while until Blake finally woke up.
It took a while but her eyes eventually fluttered open to see the man she loved with his green eye looking directly at her amber eyes with relief? Huh...
"Good morning Blake." Jade greeted her.
"Morning Jade." Blake says back.
"How's your sleep?" Jade then asked as Blake adjusted herself so that her forehead was touching his.
"Best sleep I've got in a while and thank you, for last night. I enjoyed it." Blake said as she remembered what had happened the night before as her face began to blush at what she did with him.
"Yea… I guess it was a matter of time before we had our first time huh? But yea, I also enjoyed it as well." Jade gave a sincere yet awkward smile as Blake could only giggle at how Jade can still act awkward around her despite being together for quite a while already.
"Anyway… can you get off of me? We need to wash off from yesterday's event. Oh, and you still have not explained what happened when I passed out." Jade tried to change the topic as Blake had a thoughtful look on her face before making a decision.
"Sure but you still need to explain to me what happened to you yesterday. You got that?" Blake said as she poked his chest and got off the bed, all while in full nude in front of her boyfriend.
Jade's face immediately went red as he covered his eye with his hand while looking away and sighed. "At least put a shirt on Blake."
Blake on the other hand just gave a sly smile as she then walked up to him and purposely pressed herself against his back. "Why the red face? I've seen your hard body already as you do mine. Besides… you can help me with something…"
Jade just groaned with embarrassment as he then muttered. "I kinda missed the stoic you from Beacon. You were more… modest than you are now."
"Well I have you to thank for what you had done for me." Blake cheerfully said as she then took Jade's hand and pulled him into the bathroom, much to his reluctance.
"Honestly feels like I made Blake really clingy and open to me. Not so sure how to feel about it but. I guess she really wants to enjoy what time we had before I make my way to Haven. Not that I am going to blame her. I would miss her company now that I think about it for the duration of us apart." Jade thought to himself as he was washing Blake's smooth back while in the bathtub together much to her insistence.
"Hey Blake, you still haven't told me what happened yesterday when I passed out."
"That is true. After you passed out, most of the White Fang that were present yesterday were arrested and taken away, and many of the guards we had guarding mom and dad were injured in the process." Blake explained as Jade nodded while still washing her back.
"Then are there any casualties?" He then questioned her as he began to wash her hair.
"Well there were some on both sides but they were only a handful. Though most of them were from the Fang." Blake explained as Jade continues to wash her hair while occasionally caressing her long soft hair.
"That's good I guess? Anyways, it's your turn." Jade said as he turned around for Blake to wash his back which had already recovered from yesterday's stabbing from his own aura and semblance speeding up his recovery by a large margin.
"Seems your back has recovered already." Blake said as she began to caress her boyfriend's back with soup which sends chills up his spine.
"Yea… I might have subconsciously used my aura to speed up my recovery of that wound." Jade explained as Blake gave a pause and looked at him with a raised eyebrow.
"Might?"
"Well, I know that aura speeds up recovery of wounds but there's no way that a stab wound I got yesterday would heal so quickly, yet it is fully recovered somehow. So I guess that I might have used my aura while I was unconscious to rapidly speed up the healing process. It is just a theory though." Jade could only theorise as Blake could only nod before she continued washing his back.
"I suppose it is my turn for my question to be answered. So what happened? You just passed out all of a sudden and had everyone worried about you." Blake then asked why as Jade remained silent on how to explain to her that the Brother gods showed up.
It was then that Jade finally decided to speak as Blake had moved on to his hair. "Well… The brother gods decided to have a chat with me."
"The Brother gods? Why?" Blake could only ask as to why the brother gods wished to speak with him. Was it to check on his progress? Or something more that she does not know about.
"The god of darkness wished to give me his blessing? I don't know why he wants to give it to me but I rejected it. The blessing they were planning to give to me was too vague and I have no idea what it is. Turns out by doing this, I earned its interest as to why I rejected it. Long story short, after a while of talking, I walked through a portal that woke me up and then you made us do the sex." Jade explained until the last part when his cheeks turned darker as his ears were noticeably twitching.
Blake could only giggle as she grabbed Jade before making him face her as Jade's cheeks only grew even more redder by the second as he could not help but glance down at Blake's moulds, but she did not care in the slightest. "Well I can't fault you for rejecting it but besides that. When are you leaving?"
"Soon. I'll get on the first boat to Mistral as soon as I can." Jade said as Blake's ears noticeably bent downwards.
"That early huh?" Blake's tone sounded pretty bleak when she heard that Jade had to leave her soon.
"Yea… I would want to stay with you till we can assist in the defence of Haven but, I need to get my equipment. They would no doubt help me in the coming days that would only get harder. But I know that we will see each other again. That's a promise." Jade gave some comforting words as he pulled Blake into a hug despite all the soap.
Blake just gave a sigh of acceptance as she broke from the hug as both of them were slightly red in the face. "I suppose I can't force you to stay… Just promise me that you won't get hurt. Seriously. You have a nasty habit of getting yourself hurt. So please… be careful."
"That I can do my best to not get hurt until I see you again." Jade gave a shit-eating grin as Blake pouted as she gave a weak punch to his shoulder.
"Of course you would say that." Blake mumbled as Jade can't help but laugh about it before addressing her again.
"But in all seriousness. I will try my best to not get hurt for your sake ok?"
The pout on Blake's face disappeared and was replaced by a smile as Blake nodded. "Thank you."
"Besides that, I think we should wash up already. I prefer not making your parents wait for breakfast before I gather my stuff to leave." Jade said as Blake agreed with him. Though neither of them would be ready for the embarrassment to come later when Kali revealed her hand.
Sometime later…
It was then in which both Blake and Jade arrived on the dining table as Ghira could be seen already sitting and waiting while Kali was nowhere to be found. Most likely she is in the kitchen preparing breakfast.
"Ah there you are. I was starting to wonder what took you both so long. You are usually here before I get here." Ghira bluntly said as Both Blake and Jade sat down as Kali could be heard walking towards them while holding a tray holding their breakfast as she spoke.
"Ah. There you are. I was starting to wonder why both of you took your time."
"Good morning mom." "Good morning Kali." Both of them greeted Kali as she began placing their breakfast on the table. It consisted of fish boiled in salt water, (Yes that's a thing that I ate) rice and vegetables as well. Jade could not help himself as he stared at the fish on the table, unaware that there was a bit of drool coming out of his mouth.
"So Jade, are you feeling ok? You passed out suddenly yesterday all of a sudden." Kali then asked as all of them began eating their meals with their chopsticks.
"Yea I'm much better now. Thanks for asking anyways." Jade said after he ate some of the boiled fish as his ears began twitching rapidly from the tasty fish. Blake was also doing the same thing as her boyfriend.
"Well I'm glad that you are much better now." Kali said as a sly smile started to form on her face which both Blake and Jade noticed and had a really bad feeling of what is coming for both of them.
"Uh, Kali? What's with that smile?" Jade then spoke as Kali's sly smile only got bigger as she finally spoke.
"Hmm? How was it last night?" She asked as this earned a confused look from Ghira.
This immediately set off alarms in both Jade and Blake's minds as they were panicking that Kali knew what had happened the night before. Both of their faces had blushed a bit as they hoped that what they feared was just a fluke as Kali had teased both of them before.
"I have no idea what you are talking about Kali." Jade said as Blake joined in.
"Yea, mum what are you referring to?"
"Did something happen last night that I was not aware about?" Ghira, being the only one out of the loop then asked as Kali just shook her head side by side.
"Tch tch tch tch. Lying does not fit both of you." Kali said playfully as her smile continued to widen as both Jade and Blake knew that they were so screwed as their faces paled rapidly as they glanced at each other nervously. All while Ghira remains confused as to what is going on.
"Dear, what is going on?" He asked as Kali leaned in and whispered into his ear as both Blake and Jade were internally freaking out as now Ghira is going to know what they did the night before.
It did not take long for Ghira's eyes to widen before shifting into a glare at both of them as the couple could do nothing about it.
It was then that Kali shifted back to her seat as she addressed both of them again. "I'll ask again. How was it?" she asked with a smile as Jade could be seen burying his face into his hands as Blake was also in a similar state as Jade was and refused to look or address her parents about it. Both of them were also red in the face.
The table went silent for a full minute as the faunus couple could be considered 'dying inside' as Kali continues to mischievously smile at them as Ghira's glare lessens slightly
"I… I…" Jade tried to speak out only for it to not work before sighing out loud.
"If you need any more advice on how to make it better, you could have asked us." Kali said as both of them turned even more red than they were previously.
"MOM!" Blake finally yelled out in embarrassment as Kali began giggling as Ghira just stood there.
"NOT HELPING!" Jade also yelled out in embarrassment. Getting caught having sex by your girlfriend's mother is not a thing that should had happened at all! But it did!
"Better question, who started it first? Was it you?" Kali then turned her attention to Jade who turned extremely pale as Ghira glared at him deeply that it looked like he was staring straight into his soul. Daring him to answer Kali's question.
"No he did not start it first." Blake said as she took a deep breath before admitting it. "I did."
This earned surprised looks from both of Blake's parents as Jade glanced at his girlfriend who just nodded back at him.
"Is this true?" Ghira then asked as he directed his question at Jade who only nodded back.
"Yes Ghira. Blake started it. I just… went along with it." Jade admitted with hesitation in his voice.
"I see…" Ghira could only say as his glare lessens down as Kali smiled before asking again.
"I'm proud that my baby girl is now a woman now!" Kali says with enthusiasm as she claps her hand together all while Blake yelled out.
"MOM! NOT AGAIN!" She begged as Ghira stepped in.
"I believe that is enough for now dear. We still have our meals to finish and it is getting cold now."
"THANK YOU!" Both Blake and Jade yelled in their heads as Kali nodded in understanding as she then resumed her meal.
It was then in which Jade remembered he needed to inform them about his plans to leave soon.
"Right, gotta inform both of them."
"Kali, Ghira?"
"Yes Grayson?" Kali said as Ghira gave an acknowledging grunt.
"Later today I'm heading out to Mistral to pick up some gear and meet up with some old friends of mine."
"Is that so… Why?" Ghira then asked.
"Well…" Jade hesitated as he looked at Blake who nodded back at him.
"My team leader, Ruby," Jade explained only to be interrupted by Kali.
"You mean the short red one yes?"
Jade nodded before continuing on. "Yes, both of us promised to meet Ruby at Haven Academy when we are ready. Seeing that Adam is planning on launching an attack over there, I believe that I can go there to inform them about it so that they can be ready in the defence of Haven when it happens weeks from now. I could also inform the Mistralean government about it, while also needing to pick up my emergency gear that was left there as well.
"Then what about my dear baby daughter?" Kali said as Blake could be heard yelling again.
"MOM!" She yelled as Kali giggled as Jade sighed as he rubbed Blake's back to calm her down before addressing the Belladonna matriarch.
"We had discussed about it." Jade said as Blake nodded as he continued. "Blake will stay here and help out in the preparation of the people to help out. We have at least less than a month before Adam launches his attack on Haven Academy."
"I see…" Ghira mumbled as he rubbed his chin.
"Nevertheless. Thank you for telling me." Ghira then said as Kali then joined in.
"Oh! And thank you for making my baby girl a woman before you leave." Her teasing earned the appropriate reaction from both of them as Jade did a facepalm and sighed with annoyance and embarrassment as Blake was no better. She yelled out in embarrassment as Ghira sat there with almost a hint of sympathy for the young couple. All while Kali was giggling like there is no tomorrow. Oh how she is going to have a field day with her daughter as long as she stays here.
"This is gonna suck…" Jade could only mumble out loud as Kali continued giggling as she took the empty bowls and plates away to wash them. Ghira also took his leave as he had work to do and that leaves the young couple the only one left as both of them tried to calm themselves to the best they can.
"Should have seen that happening huh?" Jade could only say as Blake could only agree.
"Yep…"
"Well no sense of wasting time I got some packing to do, let's go." Jade said as he stood up and extended his hand out to Blake who smiled in return and took his hand.
"Yea… I'm going to miss you when you are gone after today." Blake could only whisper into his ear.
"Me too." Jade could only reply as both of them walked off to Blake's room.
Sometime later…
Jade was grabbing what he needed for the journey as he took Last word and placed it on his hostel while packing in supplies that Kali and Ghira were so willing to pass to him. Blake was also assisting him as she packed in some snacks just in case.
It was then in which Jade picked up some photos of his team and slotted it into his wallet as he sighed. "This journey is going to get harder and harder. How will I be able to do it?" Jade started to show some signs of doubt within himself as he closed his eyes to think.
Blake heard what Jade had said as she then hugged him from behind before doing what she could to comfort him. "It would. But you are not fighting it alone. You have me. Team RWBY which you said we would see them again, and JNPR. We will be with you when that day comes. I know it."
Jade let out a chuckle as Blake broke from her hug as Jade turned and smiled at the woman who had been at his side throughout his time here.
"Thank you Blake." Jade muttered as he pulled Blake into a kiss.
"Ah Jade I got yo- Oh! Am I interrupting something?" It was then in which Kali walked into Blake's room to see the young couple sharing a kiss. When they heard it, both of them immediately split up and faced towards the noise which came from Kali.
"Uh yes?" Jade then awkwardly confirmed as he rubbed the back of his neck as Blake looked frustrated at what had just happened.
"Hey mom. What brought you here?" Blake then questioned her mom.
"Oh I wanted to give Jade something before he leaves Menagerie later today." Kali then answered the question.
"And that thing is?" Jade then asked.
"Here. I want you to take this with you. I think you will appreciate it." Kali said as she walked up to Jade and with both hands, offered what looked like a photograph that had Jade, Blake and her parents inside it. It was taken months ago at the request of Kali who wanted it for reasons beyond him.
"Is this the photograph we took months ago?" Jade could only ask with a hint of surprise in his tone as Blake, who stood beside him, was interested as to what Kali had planned.
"Yes, I want you to remember that if anything happens. You are always welcome back into Menagerie. And know that both I and Ghira will always accept you into our family. No matter what happens to you. Even if Ghira never says nor admits it."
Jade was stunned as he could only stare at the photo before Kali suddenly pulled him and Blake into a hug which caught both of them off guard.
"I'm proud of you both. Also Jade, meet Ghira later. He will get you a boat to Mistral." Kali could only say before letting go and walking out of Blake's room. Leaving the young couple alone.
"That nice…" Jade smiled, as if he is in trance himself. Yet there was joy in his tone. A place to call home of sorts.
"Yea, mom can be like this. Come on, we still need to pack the remaining items for your journey." Blake then snapped Jade out of it as he continued to pack in the rest of the items.
"Huh? Oh right." Jade could only say as he joined Blake in the packing.
It did not take long till both Blake and Jade were at Ghira's office in which Ghira had told Jade that a boat heading for Mistral will leave within an hour from now and he already used a favour from the captain of the ship to get him there.
"Do you have anything else you need to do before you leave Menagerie?" Ghira then asked.
"Just one." Jade replied back as Ghira nodded.
"I wish to thank you and Kali for your hospitality in the last few months." Jade then gave a bow to Ghira as Blake just stood on the side-lines watching it all.
"If nothing else, I wish you the best of luck and I will see you in a couple of weeks." Ghira said as he gave a genuine smile as both Jade left the office with Blake escorting him to the harbour.
"Well I suppose we should say our goodbyes for now huh?" Jade uttered his thoughts as both of them made their way through the busy village towards the Kuo Kuana Harbour.
"Yea… I will miss our time together." Blake admitted as Jade could say the same.
"That I agree. We were never seen apart, but I know that in the future, there will be some places that we would have to separate. So think of it as a trail of sorts. Besides, we will see each other again at Haven Academy when the fight for it begins."
Blake was silent as she thought through of what Jade had said. Many of the locals could be seen giving way for both Blake and Jade to walk by. Admittedly Jade was not used to the fact that the people of Menagerie had already taken a liking to him in just a couple of months. Heck there were even children who say that they want to become like them in the future and be heroes of sorts. Jade could only smile and hope that they would never have to fight a literal immortal in their lifetime and that he would end this endless shadow war brewing over the decades.
It wasn't long till both of them had reached the harbour in which some of the faunuses could be seen entering the trade ship that would take them to Mistral. At the same time. Both of them were saying their final goodbyes to each other.
"Well I guess this is goodbye for now." Jade then addressed his girlfriend as a female ship crew member could be seen checking the details for all the passengers of the ship at the offramp.
"Yes it is… One last kiss?" Blake could only request as Jade nodded in agreement. In an instant, Blake wrapped her arms around Jade's neck as she delved in close for a deep kiss which Jade returned before separating.
"We will see each other again. So just do your part and get our volunteers ready to help out when the fight for Haven Academy starts ok?" Jade asked for assurance from her as their foreheads touched each other for the last time for a while.
"Yea… and you do the same at getting your stuff and meet up with the rest of our team. And don't get yourself hurt. Please." Blake then replied with her own assurance.
"Yea, I promise. See you soon. Also good luck with your mom." Jade jokingly said as Blake gave a quick pout before rolling her eyes.
"Of course you would say that. I'll manage." Blake muttered before they broke from the hug and went their separate ways before giving each other one last look and wave.
Jade smiled as he turned his attention towards the female ship crew member at the offramp.
"Ah, Jade Grayson am I correct?" The ship crew asked.
"Yes I am. I assume this ship will take me to Mistral, correct?" Jade then asks for confirmation.
"Correct. And can you please follow me?" The crew member said as she walked up the offramp and into the ship as Jade followed behind her. It was then that Jade realised that the woman in front of him was a fish faunus as there were patches of scales located at the back of her neck which Jade did not see at first glance.
The crew member then led him to one of the cabins that had a bed, table and a toilet personal toilet as well. Admittedly, it looked like those cruise ships that Jade used to go when he was younger in his previous life.
"Is it me or that this cabin is more luxurious than usual?" Jade asked the crew member who responded back.
"This is by the request of the Chieftain of Menagerie to give you one of our best rooms."
"Huh… well that's convenient…" Jade thought to himself.
"Well I should thank him when I see him again in the future. Thank you for bringing me here." Jade said to the crew member as she departed from the room.
"It is my pleasure." She said as she left.
There was the sound of the door being closed which left Jade alone in the room as he placed his bag on the table before laying on the bed.
"Well… guess we move on to the end of vol 5… Almost. I wonder how everyone is doing?" Jade wondered to himself.
Meanwhile everyone back at Mistral is getting their butt's kicked by Oscar/Ozpin. Oh, and Qrow is drunk again.
"Eh, I'm sure they are fine for now…" Jade mumbled as he could hear the ship's horn blaring. Signifying the ship's departure from Menagerie.
"Good luck Blake." He whispered to himself as he got onto his feet and to the nearby table to do maintenance checks on Last Word.
One week later...
Jade had officially arrived at Mistral at midday with its Asian architecture that Jade was more familiar with at home, yet, he could check on his team but his first priority is his gear in his old safe house, which he had left behind for years ever since that day that he had to flee from constant attacks from pretty much everyone who wanted the bounty on his head before Ozpin (before he died) 'claimed it'. Now thought, Jade had to hide his identity because technically he died and some people would recognize his face.
So as of yet, Jade decided to let his hair down instead of tying it up into a wolf's tail that turned into a ponytail over the years. Over his eyes was a black metal mask that has jagged ends and has glowing red lines on it in which he based it on Saber Alter's mask. Why? Because it looks cool and could serve as intimidation tactics. At the same time, he had modified his outfit to fit with hiding his identity. Jade kept his undershirt that had belts on it to carry more items and equipment. He now also has a cloak that can be shifted into a cape if needed.
There was also smaller armour located around the exposed parts of his body and as well as gloves to cover his semblance created prosthetic hand. His boots had become more tightly fitted as his pants now have side pockets that he created to carry more of his ammunition. Jade also adjusted his scabbard to be on his back with a slight opening on the side of it for easier retrieval and hostelling of Last word in sword mode. Oh and his bag is kept under the cloak as well.
As Jade got off the boat in his new outfit and walked around through the streets. He could remember how when he was younger he had to beg for food. It was there that he learned how to survive in the lower levels of Mistral after his village he grew up in was attacked by bandits. Yet it wasn't all bad memories of people yelling racist remarks at him or him enduring suffering. He had some good ones, though they were few.
Jade then walked into the empty corridor away from prying eyes before using his semblance to create his wings before taking off and headed south. As Jade continued to fly through the air, he began to enjoy the fresh air compared to the tropical smells of Menagerie.
He can never get tired of flying. It is way more fun and much easier in terms of getting into places.
Jade has been flying for hours as the day began to set and night began to take its place, he could see the night skies with all its stars as he began to descend towards his hideout among the forest. It was then that Jade decided to try something that may or may not break his bones but it would be so cool if he pulled it off.
Jade then swoops downwards towards the ground before pulling himself upwards so that he is horizontal with the forest. Jade then spreads his wings to slow him down as he extends his legs out. As the whole process was going by, Jade began to skid on the ground as he extended his prosthetic hand out to support his body while still sliding across the forest on his boots and hand.
And while sliding on the ground, Jade then pushed himself off the ground which sent him back on his feet as his wings dissolved, though he stumbled forward for a second due to how fast he was sliding.
Jade could only chuckle slightly at his mistake before walking towards a house that looked like it was abandoned and someone raided it. Jade's eyes narrowed as he thought to himself.
"Did someone raid my safehouse while I was at Beacon?" Jade then walked towards it and stared at the broken locks on the ground.
Jade could only grunt in annoyance as he pushed the door open to see that surprisingly, the interior of the building looked untouched at first glance.
Inside the safehouse, it has wooden floors and there is a bed at the corner of the room, a table and chair, a CCTs TV, a bathroom and a kitchen with an oven and fridge. (food is probably unsafe to eat or stolen.)
Jade then took the time to check his entire safehouse and indeed yes, it had been sacked. Cans of fish that Jade had stored in the cabinets were gone, several of his items were missing including his food utensils. Who the fuck steals someone else's utensils!
"Who did this?" Jade could only angrily wonder to himself as he walked around the house before touching a part of the wooden floor in one of the corners of his house.
Jade then rips off a plank of wood off the floor with the help of his aura to reveal a key hiding underneath the wooden plank. Jade then took the key and walked outside his safehouse and towards a specific patch of grass that had stones arranged in a certain pattern that is well hidden.
He then began to brush the stones and soil with one swipe to reveal that there was something metallic underneath it.
However, before Jade could dig out the metallic thing, his ears twitched as something could be heard walking towards his location and in a flash, Jade jumped up into the closest tree and waited quietly.
It did not take long when several Beowolfs walked by. Most likely attracted to Jade's anger when someone invaded his safehouse. He then watched them as they wandered around like predators who had smelt their prey and were seeking it out.
Normally Jade would eliminate them quickly but he knows that it would only attract more at night and he was getting tired from all the flying. So he waited,
And waited,
And waited.
And so the Beowolf pack wandered off to somewhere after 3 hours (They were very persistent.) of endless searching for their prey who so happens to have fallen asleep on the trees close to them until next morning. He was quite exhausted after a long time flying to this location.
When he woke up at 5 in the morning, his thoughts can be summarised as, 'how the fuck did I survive the night next to a pack of Beowolfs who were searching close to me?'
"Ok then…" Jade could only mumble to himself with a hint of surprise as he got off the tree before resuming what he was doing before being interrupted by a pack of Beowolfs.
Jade then resumed what he was doing half-way and began to use his semblance to begin digging out the metallic thing that turns out to be a rather large metal box that had a lock on it. Jade then used his semblance to literally drag the metallic box back to his safehouse because it was too heavy. Even for his semblance.
"What the fuck was I thinking when I put all my Lien in here?! I had a bank account for that!" Jade grumbled in his thoughts as he placed the heavy metal chest inside his safehouse before slamming the door shut.
He then began to clean it up a bit as dirt covered every nook and cranny of it before slotting in the key in the lock and opening it. Inside it, there were hundreds of thousands of Lien notes in bundles all tightly packed inside it. Jade picked up all of it before dumping it aside to pack it in later. Jade then took out an even smaller case inside it before leaving it on the table as he sat down.
Jade could only observe it before flipping open its switches and opening the case itself. Inside the case were two pairs of blades that were as long as his forearm, along with two gauntlets similar to Ember Celica in a way. It is way longer in terms of length and would cover his forearm, also there is a piece of heat resistant material just over where his hand would be. It is painted black with green lines on it. Mostly on the forearms stretching outwards while also brandishing Jade's own emblem. There are also rods of fire dust in thin but long cylinders that were transparent inside the case. Along it was rows of rounds that were technically grenades but were heavily modified so that it behaves like high explosive rounds except they give a bigger boom and are armour penetrating due to its reinforced tip which is really sharp for bigger Grimm.
Jade could be seen grinning to himself as he reached out to one of the gauntlets and pressed a hidden button on it to expand it out as he then slotted his hand into it before pressing the same button to shrink it into place. Jade then clenched his hand into a fist as he was moving his arm around to get a good look at it before pressing another button on it that caused the top of the gauntlet to open up revealing three openings.
Jade then grabbed one of the blades in the case before inserting it into the gauntlet with the longest end facing inwards. Jade did the same with the other blade before picking up one of the rounds and inserting it into the middle opening made for it. He then pressed the same button to close it.
"Now then… Let's see if I can remember how to do it…" Jade mumbled to himself as he then clenched his hand into a fist before flicking his arm. The gauntlet seemed to work as intended as blades jutted out of the gauntlet just over his hand. Jade could not help but smile as he flicked his arm again which caused the blade to retract back inside it.
With that working, Jade then another button that caused the lower part of the gauntlet to open up to have two openings. He then finally picked up the glass cylinders that contained fire dust and slotted two into the gauntlet before pushing against it to close it.
Jade then did the same with the other gauntlet before keeping the case back into the chest while also taking a bunch of Lien with him so that, hopefully, He would have brought enough money for the journey. While also taking all the additional fire dust rods and heavily modified grenades with him.
"Now that I think about it, I don't really have a name for it… what should I call it?" Jade thought to himself.
"Ah… I can't come up with one. Fuck it. I'll name it later." He could only mumble to himself as he began to pack everything.
It did not take long for Jade to pack the rest of the Lien into the chest before burying it at the same place. Though with more plants on top just in case. It was then in which his stomach began to growl slightly. Jade could only sigh as his mask forms on his eyes before taking off to return back to Mistral to grab a bite.
"Man I miss Blake already… her soft and appealing body…'' Jade's eyes widened when he realised what he had just said as he then slapped himself in the face as his cheeks began to burn
"Bad Jade! Stop thinking about lewding Blake right now! Worry about that of all things later! Focus!" He yelled at himself as he continued flying back to Mistral.
A couple of hours later at an old place…
Jade was walking down the streets of lower Mistral after getting an apple to enjoy, as numerous civilians gave way to this mysterious stranger walking through the streets with a creepy mask with a deadpan expression on the rest of his visible face.
Jade then walked to a bar owned by a very familiar woman who Jade had visited countless times for information on his contracts in the past.
Lil' Miss Malachite.
As Jade entered the bar, everyone in the room seemingly paused at what they were doing to stare at the newcomer. Jade knows inside that everyone here doesn't recognise him due to his different appearance, he then chose to ignore them as he walked towards Lil' Miss Malachite who was sitting on a chair with her guards waiting for anyone who wishes to make a business deal with her.
Malachite then noticed the stranger walking towards her as her guards walked up to him only for him to pull out a bundle of Lien in his hand as Malachite could be seen eyeing on the Lien in his hand before nodding at her guards to let him closer while also taking out her signature fan.
Jade sat on the chair before placing the bundle of Lien on the table only for Malachite to speak first.
"What you offer is not much. So I will offer you some rumours we heard instead. " she said with a smile as Jade scowled slightly before pulling out a couple more bundles of Lien and placing them on the table.
"Greedy as always Malachite." Jade thought to himself as she spoke again.
"Much better. Now, what do you want for it?" She asked as Jade removed his mask covering his eyes much to her and her guards' surprise.
"Lil' Miss Malachite. It's been a while hasn't it?" Jade gave a smile as he put back on his mask as Malachite snapped out of her shock before her expression changed to one of interest.
"Jade Grayson. Everyone saw your death back during the Vytal Festival. And yet, here you are, alive and 'mostly' fine." Malachite observed Jade as she then started to speak almost cordially towards Jade who just gave a chuckle in response.
"You know what they always say, cats got nine lives and I got eight more lives to spend, but I digress. I want information about the headmaster of Haven."
"Leonardo Lionheart huh? Very well Grayson. Come back in a week and you'll get what you want." Malachite said as Jade began to walk off and took a glance at the people in the pub in hopes of finding Qrow.
Though someone caught his eyes as he was planning to find Qrow or meet up with his team at their home. A man with orange hair wearing white with a black hat to go along with it and a small woman with dark brown and pink hair.
"Torchwick?"

Dun dun duuuun!
What did we have here? Roman Torchwick still alive and kicking in the bar that Jade was in? My my, things are gonna get veeerrrryyyy interesting next chapter. Oh! and Cliff-hanger. Sorry.
Also it is good to be back after a week break of relaxing and de-stressing a bit. But yea, we got a ton of stuff to talk about in this chapter.
First of all, Jade and Blake waking up after their sexy time the previous night and getting teased the fuck out by Kali. I can't tell whether I did her justice like canon in a way. Tell me in the reviews on what you think of it. I want to make it as accurate as possible (Well except Blake because character development.)
Next is Jade's plan to head off to Mistral first to meet up with his team and retrieve his gear while leaving Blake to continue to gather help for the defence of Haven which is to come within less than a month. So yea, Jade had a change of outfit because it seems that RWBY characters seemed to have a change of clothing almost every two volumes so why not eh? Besides having Saber alter's mask from Fate is one of the things I always wanted to add to Jade for quite a while.
Oh and Jade's new weapon that I don't have a name for some reason. (How shameful of me huh?) But yea, it is a wrist blade gauntlet that has a grenade launcher like system. As for the fire dust rods inserted into it? It will be shown in the future. But what do you think of it and I wonder if you could guess where the idea came from.
Next is Lil' Miss Malachite appearance in this chapter. I saw it as fitting for Jade to interact with her as she is an information broker of sorts. So Jade coming to her for information on his contracts as a mercenary makes a whole lot of sense to me. But what do you think?
