Kenickie's POV
The next day after school, the guys and I were at the Auto-shop fixing up Greased Lightnin', which we are ALMOST done! Baby is gonna run like a freakin' champ. We also looked over to see Danny and Putzie talking. "I feel so bad for Zuko." I heard Sonny mumbles.
"Me too Sonny-Boy." I said. "Did he talked to Sandy at all?"
"Have you talked to Sandy yet?" Doody asked as he looked up to see the us looking at him and he shook his head no.
Our heart broke for our big brother. Look, yes we're greasers and the T-Birds but that doesn't mean we have to be jerks to each other!
"Danny, man I am so sorry." I apologized.
"It's not your fault." He told me.
"Danny…" Sonny started. "We thought things were getting a lot better." He just focus on the car. "You had me promise to find a right girl…a nice girl." Sonny added as he stopped and let out a sigh as He looked back up.
"Guys I failed." He admit.
"What?" Putzie asked. "Danny, you could never fail us."
"You guys looked up to me." He told us. "And I lied to ya…I'm supposed to be the big brother here."
"Danny, no matter what happened we'll always look up to you." I told him.
"And we'll always love you like a big brother." Putzie added.
He just sad smiled at us.
"Alright, enough with this warm junk." He said trying to be cool, making us laugh.
He gave us a wink.
"Ok fellas, let's test her out eh!?" I says as I got in while our most favorite teacher Mrs. Murdoch got in the back.
"Yay!" Putzie cheered making us chuckled.
"This is why I love ya, buddy." I winked.
So Doody sat on the mechanics Board rolling backward with Danny behind him as Doody waved his arms singling me to move the car forward with Mrs. Murdock sitting on the car, Putzie and Sonny were behind the car.
"Head it out guys!" Danny yelled out turning to stop Doody with his foot. "Move it out!" He yelled.
"Move it out!" Sonny yelled.
"Move it out!" Doody yelled as he stood up while I stops the car and we crowed the car and parked.
"Well, it's in great shape." Mrs. Murdock commented. "It's as hot as the parts on it." She smiled.
"It wasn't stolen, some was donated." Sonny said.
Hah, yeah sure Sonny-Boy!
"This will knock them on their ears." I said bumping Danny's belly.
They laughed.
"Yeah," Doody smiled but frowned looking at me. "But you could still change your mind." He gave me a small nod as I puffed out a smoke at his face.
That's my Howdy Doody! Always looking out for everyone's safety!
"The flags go down in 3 hours." Mrs. Murdock said.
"Hey Mrs. Murdock, are you coming?" Putzie asked, giving her his best puppy dog eyes as she smiled, people always falls for his puppy dog eyes!

"Aw I don't expect my boys to let me down and I won't let them down." She said getting off the car.
"Alright Mrs. Murdock!" Sonny cheered as he pats her back.
"Yes!" Doody cheered walking over to her.
"I wanna talk to you." Danny said to me as we walked away from the guys. " Hey, look, those guys at Thunder Road, they don't fool around. You know that, right?"
I took my cigarette out of my mouth.
"You want me to punk out?" I asked.
"No, I'm not saying punking out, but I'm just...You know what I mean. I..." Danny started, letting out out a sigh.
"Hey, Danny, we've been friends a long time, right?" I started.
"Yeah." He says.
"Well, you remember the drive-in the other night, we went and the movie, and it was like the duel and the guy's best friend went with him and was like his lieutenant, like his second, you know?" I asked.
"Yeah. So?" He asked me.
I popped my collar trying to be cool.
"Well, I thought that you could maybe be my second at Thunder Road." I admitted as I looked back at him.
"What do you mean? You want me to drive with you or what?" He asked.
"No, I..." I started.
"Oh. Hey, hey." He said smiling.
We playfully pushed each other and then hug but quickly lets go. I only hug my mom, Katlyn, dad and Putzie!
"Well, listen, I'll pick you up at 3:00, huh?" I asked as we combed our hair trying to be cool again.
"Yeah, see you later." Danny said walking away.
"Yeah." I say.
"Hey, what are ya standing around for? Get the can! Get the can!" I yelled as Doody and Sonny wiped the dust off of Greased Lightnin. "Hey Putz, wanna drive with me and Danny to the Thunder road?" I asked him and He looked up.
"Uh no thanks Kenick, Doody said he'll take me, besides he gonna say sorry for stealing the parts from my mother." He told me.
"What?" We heard Doody yelled. "But I'm a good boy!" Doody protested.
Putzie and I chuckled at him.
"Real men confess Howdy Doody!" I tell him.
He rolls his eyes.
"I know." He mumbles making us chuckled at him.
"Ok Babyface, but after that…frosty." I said winking at him.
We have special nicknames for each other. He and sometimes the guys are the only ones who can call him "Babyface" and he sometimes calls me "Kenny", epically when he's scared, sad or upset. Only him, Rizzo, my sister and my mother get to call me that.
"Oh I'm there pal!" He said getting in the car making me laughed, so I drove him back to school. "Thanks Kenickie!" He said getting out.
"Anytime kid!" I said before driving off.
