On Earth-38, fifteen minutes had passed since all the water disappeared. The people at Mount Carmel were patiently waiting for Charlie's return.
Serenity had commandeered Nora away from the others. The 9 year old was worried about Charlie, afraid that something may have happened to Charlie and she may not come back.
Serenity and Charlie have a very close relationship. They didn't just form a mother and daughter like bond, but they became best friends too. In fact, they were best friends first. They understand each other.
Nora is anxious to see Ray again. It had been two months - almost three months - since she had seen Ray. That was the longest that they had ever been apart since they started dating.
Grabbing Serenity's hand, Nora gave it a gentle squeeze, "It's gonna be okay, Serenity. Charlie's tough. She's gonna come home. She'll probably be home any minute."
Serenity nodded, turning to look at Nora, "And Ray's really smart. He'll be here soon too."
"Yeah." Nora uttered
Meanwhile on whatever planet that Charlie and Sonnet were transported too. Having already discovered that the planet is abandoned and now with being in labor, there isn't much that Charlie can do. But Sonnet, she can go explore. She can search and see if there is someway off the planet.
From where Charlie was sitting, it didn't appear that there was any kind of transportation off the planet, but a deeper in depth search couldn't hurt. However she couldn't convince Sonnet to leave her, and she was much too tired to keep arguing about it.
Sitting on the ground, Charlie felt vibrations coming from the core of the planet which gave her a bad feeling in the pit of her stomach. A feeling of despair washed over Charlie as she felt a contraction. She began to fear that David would miss the birth of his child - their child.
With her werewolf hearing, Sonnet could hear a ticking noise, causing her to bear her canine teeth. She let out a constant low growl to keep any danger away from her and Charlie.
"Easy there, tiger." Charlie warned
Sonnet turned her head, glaring at Charlie, "I'm a werewolf. Not a tiger." Then she proceeded to growl.
"Okay. Sorry." Charlie apologised, "So what are you growing at?"
Sonnet pointed at her ear.
Charlie tilted her head, "You hear something?"
"Yeah. A ticking noise." Sonnet informed
Charlie grumbled as she thought 'damn it'. It was bad enough that she was feeling vibrations from this planet's core. Combine that with the ticking that Sonnet is hearing and the bad feeling Charlie has could only mean one thing. There's a bomb in this planet's core. This planet is about to explode, and if they don't find a way off the planet then they'll die.
'Why were we transported to this planet?' Charlie wondered again.
There had to be a reason that she and Sonnet were on this planet. The baby didn't seem to know anything about it, so it had nothing to do with the baby. Charlie didn't believe that she was the reason for them being on this planet, so the reason had to be related to Sonnet. Eliminating both the baby and Charlie made Sonnet the only reasonable explanation, but it still didn't explain everything.
Charlie may have still been unclear about where she and Sonnet were, but at least she could be about 67% sure about the why. If only she could figure out how a six year old werewolf could be so important, then maybe she could figure out where they are and what Sonnet's purpose is.
On Earth-X, after finding Behrad and Kuasa, Sara and Ava took the jumpship, heading off in search of Charlie and Sonnet. With Nate in charge, he took everyone back to Earth-38 on the waverider. Mari had stayed behind on Earth-X to look for Ray. Only it appeared that he was nowhere to be found. It didn't make any sense.
The first stop Sara and Ava made was to the Beebo Nation Earth where they picked up John and Zari. They were alone. It seemed that John had figured out a way to get the Abydonians home. From there they didn't really know what to do or where to go, but Sara was giving John the space to work his magic.
Unfortunately for Sara and Ava, John was getting nothing. He couldn't get a read of Charlie, which was unusual for him. He couldn't understand why he wasn't able to get a read on Charlie, but that didn't mean he was going to give up. He kept on trying.
"Anything?" Ava wondered
Sara was too worried about Charlie as she paced back and forth.
John shook his head, "No. Not yet."
"What's taking so long?" Sara asked impatiently
"I don't know, luv." John replied, "I can't find any trace of her. It's like she's out of range or something."
Zari looked thoughtful, "Maybe she's on another planet. Or in another galaxy. Maybe that's why she's out of range. She's too far away for you to sense."
Sara let out of sigh, questioning herself and why she didn't stop Charlie from entering that circle because now Charlie was gone and they didn't know where she was. Or even why she had been transported away. Maybe that was supposed to happen? Maybe Charlie would be coming back soon, but until they had Charlie back, they would never stop looking for her.
Back on Earth-38 at Mount Carmel, Judy Schneider was sitting in her bedroom with Rachel and 1 month old Zion. They were talking about Charlie when suddenly Mayanah came running into her mom's room.
"Mommy!"
Judy looked at her daughter, "What is it, Mayanah?"
"My earth. The Beebo Nation Earth. The Beebos are gone."
"How do you know that?"
Mayanah shrugged, "I feel connected to it and to the Beebos."
Judy stood up, walking over to her daughter and kneeling down in front of her, "Do you know where they are?"
Mayanah nodded, "Yeah. And they're in trouble."
"Well where are they, Mayanah?"
"Athos."
Judy furrowed her eyebrows, confused, "Athos?"
"Yeah. It's another planet."
"Oh...okay." Judy replied, glancing back towards Rachel.
Neither Rachel nor Judy knew how to react or even what to do about what Mayanah had just said.
Life had sure gotten complicated over the last few months. It seemed like ever since May - it was now October - that life just kept throwing them curveball after curveball. It felt like God was continually testing them. They had passed all the tests thus far. They would pass this one too. Charlie would be home soon, and in a couple months David's 24th child would be born. Everything would be fine.
Hope you enjoyed. Leave a comment if you liked it.
Where do you think Charlie and Sonnet are?
