Emma spins her around, causing Regina to shriek in delight. It was a very un-like Emma gesture but she loved it. She also loved the sound of laughter coming out of the blonde. Once Emma set her down, her expression was serious again.
"Wait a second," she says, glancing down at the necklace. "You mean to tell me that I had the answer in my pocket this whole time?"
Regina smiled apologetically. "What do you give the woman that has everything? What better gift than giving you me?"
Emma's smile grew, her head shaking slowly. "Ms. Mills… what am I going to do with you?"
"Here, let me…" Regina took the necklace from the box, stood behind Emma and placed the necklace around her neck. The pendant hanging freely against her chest. It was a perfect fit.
Emma grinned, looking down at the pendant.
"Do you really like it?"
"I love it. It's perfect. Like you."
"I'm far from perfect, Emma."
Emma pulled the brunette closer to her body again, her lips placing a chaste kiss on plump ones she missed dearly. Green eyes turned sad.
"What?" Regina whispered, noticing the change of mood in the blonde. "What is it?"
"I was so scared." Emma whispered.
Oh, Emma…
"For a moment… I thought I wasn't going to ever see you again. Had I not been flying as low as I was-" She sighed, her eyes closing.
"But you did." Regina held the blonde closer, her forehead pressing against hers. "You're here, you're with me- with people who love you."
"I love you, Regina Mills. I don't know what right thing I ever did on this earth to deserve you, but I am going to make you the happiest woman alive." She paused, her lips quirking up into a happy smile. "You're mine."
"Always." Regina smiled.
"And now that you've said yes, we can tell everyone."
Both shared a kiss so passionate, so needed- the world didn't matter. All that mattered was that Emma was alive and they were together again. That they loved each other. As their lips melted, molding into one another, their tongues danced a slow dance.
Their bodies collide together, under the pouring water of the overly sized shower in their bedroom. Regina lets out a groan as she feels her back hit the cold, wet tile, along with Emma's body pressing up against her. The blonde's thin lips savored, ravaged, nipped and sucked away at Regina's neck. Olive toned hands pulled and yanked away the wet tank top from Emma's body, along with her jeans. While Emma's hands were quick to rip the fabric of Regina's dress, along with her bra- exposing her perfectly rounded breasts.
"Ah!" Regina moaned, her head arching back against the tile, her hands pulled against blonde wet hair. She drank in the feeling of the blonde's lips wrapped around one nipple, then the other, sucking and biting down with every intensity and desire she had within her.
Emma's lips captured Regina's again in a sealing kiss. She groaned, feeling the brunette's hands quickly undo her pants. Their lips parted momentarily, as both removed each other from their panties, coming together again so quick, they seemed like magnets.
"Wrap your leg around me," Emma whispered, feeling Regina's leg wrap around her waist, while her own hand touched what she wanted most.
Regina moaned as soon as two fingers entered her. Her own fingers were quick to search for the blonde's soaked sex and enter her, and oh, did she feel so good. Especially listening to her chant her name over and over as they both moved with the same syncing rhythm, in and out, in and out… their hips bucking into one another. Slowly, very slowly.
"Open your eyes, baby… I want to see you." Emma hissed, inserting a third finger. She grinned, finding lustful brown eyes staring right at her. "You'll marry me?"
Regina nodded, biting down on her lip, her fingers keeping up with the harsh rhythm that they had now taken inside the blonde. "Oh, yes…" She moaned.
"Say it…" Emma breathed, picking up the pace.
"Emma!" Regina cried out, her face burying itself in the crook of the blonde's neck.
"Say it, baby!" She hissed.
"Yes, I'll marry you!" And with those words, Regina soon found her release, feeling Emma's tight walls wrap around her own fingers, along with her body collapsing along with hers right after.
Emma was here… loving her, filling her, desiring her. They were together.
As they sleep, Regina's eyes slowly open to the sight and feel of Emma right next to her. And she never felt happier. Also, today was the Saturday morning. A whole day of Emma's birthday, which meant it was time for her other surprise Regina planned out. She grinned, hugging herself for it.
She had said yes. More than a lover, a girlfriend she would become Emma's wife. Mrs. Regina Swan. It did have a nice ring to it.
She doesn't regret saying yes. She knew Emma was scared of her answer, due to her past, but nothing would make Regina run away from her. Not Mal or Lily, or silly old photos. Her saying yes to the blonde's proposal was a reassurance from her that she wasn't going anywhere. She didn't want to go anywhere, or be with anyone else.
Today, this birthday girl, sleeping beside her, looking so young- so peaceful, so her age- was a year older.
Daniel! Regina shuffled out of bed carefully, wrapped herself up in her bathrobe and headed on down into the great room. Daniel was probably still here, so present number two would have to wait. But, maybe Regina could make some breakfast for her birthday girl. Surely enough, once she reached the breakfast bar, there was Daniel eating a bowl of cereal.
"Morning, Daniel." She smiles her best smile.
"Hey, Gina!" He smiled kindly.
"Sleep well?" She asks.
"Never better. Some view from up here." He nods his head toward the window.
"Yeah. It's pretty special." Like the owner of this apartment. "Would you like some breakfast?"
"Love some." Daniel quickly pushed his bowl of cereal aside.
"It's Emma's birthday today- I'm making her breakfast in bed." She beams.
"She awake?"
"No, I think she's tired from yesterday." She quickly turns away to hide her blush as images of their shower come to her mind. She reaches for the fridge and takes out some bacon and eggs.
Daniel is grinning. "You really like her, don't you?"
The brunette's lips purse. "I love her, Daniel."
His eyes widen but then, he grins. "What's not to love?" He says, gesturing around the great room.
"Daniel!" Regina scolds him.
"I'm kidding!" He holds up his hands in defense. "It's just a joke. I know you're not like that."
Will it always be like this? People thinking I'm marrying Emma for her money? She couldn't help but wonder.
"Come on, I'm kidding, Gina, really." He smiles. "Hey, you dated me, right? I'm not exactly Emma Swan here."
She smiles. "Omelet good for you?" She asks, changing the subject.
"Sure. Whatever you make will be great."
"Make that two, please," Emma says as she saunters into the great room. Regina's lips part and even Daniel's cheeks flush to the sight of Emma in a pair of her red underwear that she always sleeps in- when she doesn't sleep naked that is- and a white tank top this time. "Daniel," she nods at him.
"Emma." Daniel murmurs, looking down at the counter top.
Emma turns to Regina to smirk, who stares in awe. No doubt, she's doing this on purpose given that Daniel was there. And oh, did Regina love the sight of her in that sexy attire. It showed off her body well. But right now the brunette's eyes slowly narrow as she knows that by the sight of the blonde's brooding smirk, she knows exactly what she's doing and doesn't care one bit about it.
"I was going to bring you breakfast in bed."
The blonde moves over to Regina, her arm wrapping around her form, pulling her in while her other tucks beneath her chin, tilting her head up while her lips plant a loud wet kiss right on the brunette's. "Good morning, Regina." She says, her voice sounding sensual.
As much as that tone did things to Regina, she wanted to scowl at her for being so damn territorial. But, it was her birthday.
"Good morning, Emma. Happy birthday." She gives her a smile, and Emma smirks.
"You look as lovely as ever," Emma says, her hand cupping right at the woman's behind.
"Behave," Regina murmurs, "Or I won't give you your other present."
Emma's brow lifts. "There's more?"
"Oh, yes, Ms. Swan. But that is for later."
"Well, then, I'm looking forward to my other present."
Both women turn to Daniel, who looks like he just swallowed something unpleasant. Emma soon releases Regina, while she turns back to begin cooking.
"So what are your plans today, Daniel?" Emma asks, seemingly casual as she sits down on a bar stool.
"I'm heading up to see my dad, and Henry, Gina's dad."
Emma frowns. "They know each other?"
"Yeah, they were in the army together. They lost contact until Gina and I were in college together. They're best buds now. We're going on a fishing trip."
"Fishing?" Emma is genuinely interested.
"Yeah- some great catches over in Florida waters. The gator trouts grow big this time of year."
"True. My sister, Ruby, and I landed a thirty pound Gator trout once."
Daniel's brows his his hairline. "You're kidding? That's impressive. Gina's dad is an avid fisherman. Better than my dad."
"No kidding? He never said."
"Happy birthday, by the way."
"Thank you."
Regina smiles, with her back turned to them. She never understood fishing, nor was a fan of it, but the fact that Emma was now somewhat bonding with Daniel over a topic of interest was nice. See Emma? Daniel is not so bad.
By the time Daniel makes his leave, Emma seems more relaxed around him and Daniel doesn't seem so intimidated now that she changed into a pair of pajama pants, still leaving her tank top. Emma even accompanied him toward the foyer along with Regina.
"Thanks for letting me stay here," Daniel says to Emma as they shake hands.
"Anytime." Emma smiles.
Daniel's eyes move to Regina, and he hugs her quickly. "Stay safe, Gina."
"Of course. Great to see you, Daniel. Next time we'll have a real evening out."
"I'll hold you to that." He waves at both of them from inside the elevator and then he's gone.
"See, he's not so bad." Regina turns to face Emma.
Emma chuckles. "He still wants into your panties, Gina. But I can't say I blame him."
Regina rolls her eyes. "Emma, that's not true."
"You have no idea, do you?" She smirks down at her. "He wants you. Big time."
Regina frowns. "Emma, he's just a friend, a good friend." And suddenly, Regina realizes she sounds a lot like Emma when talking about the Dragon Lady. The thought is unsettling.
Emma holds up her hands in a placating gesture. "I don't want to fight."
"Me neither." Thought Regina wasn't aware that they were fighting. Were they fighting?
"You didn't tell him we were getting married."
"I haven't told Belle either. I want my parents to be the first ones to know." Then it dawned on her, it's the first time she's thought about this since she said yes. What would her parents think? Her mother- she will be absolutely delighted, but her father… who knows.
Emma nods. "Yes, you're right. And I should ask your father for your hand properly."
Regina can't hold back a laugh. "Oh, Emma- this isn't the eighteenth century."
Would she really ask for my hand? The thought makes her extremely nervous.
"It's traditional." Emma shrugs.
"Let's talk about that later. I want to give you your other present." She smiles nervously. She wanted to get it over with, wanting to see how Emma would react to it.
Emma gives her her shy smile. A smile Regina will never grow tired of looking at for as long as she lived.
"You're biting your lip," says the blonde, her eyes burning.
To be touched by Emma thrilled her, sending millions of volts throughout her body. All ending in her most eager of places. She takes Emma's hand and directs her back into their bedroom, dropping her hand, she leaves the birthday girl standing in the middle of the room while she walked to her side of the bed, bending over to pick up two gift boxes.
"Two?" Says Emma, surprised.
Regina nods. "I bought this before the incident… yesterday. I'm not sure about it now." She quickly hands her one of the boxes before she can change her mind.
Emma gazes at her, puzzled, sensing her girlfriend's- er- fiancee's uncertainty. "Are you sure you want me to open it?" She asks.
Regina nods.
Emma tears through the wrapping paper, gazing in surprise at the item she now held. "Charlie Tango," she whispered. A grin stretching on her lips.
The box contained a small wooden helicopter with a large, solar-powered rotor blade.
She opens the box to get a better look at her gift. "Solar powered," she murmurs. "Wow."
Regina smiles at how her face lights up, very much like a little girl who just received the best gift in the world. She enjoys watching how she plops onto the bed and begins to assemble it right before her. Emma is holding up the small helicopter in the palm of her hand in a matter of minutes. It's blue. Emma heads to the window, setting the assembled helicopter down so it bathes in the sunlight and watches in delight as its rotor starts to spin.
"Look at that," she breathes, examining it closely. "What we can already do with this technology." She holds it up, watching its blades spin and spin. Her eyes sparkling with fascination.
"Do you like it?" Regina finally asks.
"Gina, I love it. Thank you." Emma grabs her and kisses her swiftly, then turns back to watch the rotor spin. "I'll add it to the glider in my office," she watches the blades spin once again. She moves her hand out of the sunlight and the blades slow down until they stop.
Regina hugs herself, quite proud for choosing exactly that to buy her.
"It'll keep me company while we salvage Charlie Tango."
"Is it salvageable?"
Emma frowns. "I don't know. I hope so. I'll miss her, otherwise."
Regina frowns, seeing the pain of losing her most valuable possession displaying in the blonde's eyes. She did hope they could fix it back up, she missed her too.
"What's in the other box?" Emma asks, her eyes wide with almost a childish excitement.
"I'm not really sure if this present is for you or myself." Regina's heart starts beating so fast, it jumps to her throat.
"Really?" She asks, her head cocking to one side. She takes the box from the brunette as it is handed to her, her interest piqued. She shakes it gently and a heavy rattle is heard. Her eyes glance up at her clearly nervous girlfriend. "Why are you so nervous?" She asks.
Regina shrugs, her cheeks slightly flushing.
Emma's brow raises. "You have me intrigued, Ms. Mills," she whispers. "I have to say I'm enjoying your reaction. What have you been up to?" Her eyes narrow speculatively.
The way her voice sounds, it runs a shiver down Regina's spine, a shiver that excites her.
Emma opens the lid, discovering various items wrapped up in tissue paper and a card placed on top. She reaches for the card, reading it over before her eyes are darted right on the brunette's. They are wide with surprise, maybe a bit of shock. Regina can't quite tell.
"Do rude things to you?" she murmurs, puzzled.
Regina swallows the lump in her throat, nodding.
The blonde's head cocks to one side again, taking in the brunette's nervousness. She turns her attention back to the contents of the box. She tears through the pale blue tissue paper and fishes out an eye mask, some nipple clamps, a butt plug, a flash drive with music, her favorite gray tie- and last but certainly not least- the key to her playroom.
Emma gazes at her, her expression dark, unreadable.
What is she thinking right now? Regina swallows again.
"You want to play?" she asks softly.
"Yes," Regina breathes.
"For my birthday?"
"Yes." Jesus, could her voice sound any smaller?
Emma's expression continues to be unreadable until the blonde settles for an anxious expression. Not quite the one Regina was expecting, but she can understand it.
"Are you sure?" Emma asks softly, her voice trembling.
Regina nods. "Just without the whips and other objects. But you can use your strap on."
"I understand." Emma shakes her head, looking down at the contents inside the box. She chuckles. "Sex mad and insatiable. Well, I think we can do something with this lot," she murmurs almost to herself, then places the contents back inside the box.
When Emma glances back up into the brunette's eyes, her expression has completely changed. Her eyes are dark and burning with mad, wild desire, and her mouth lifts in a slow erotic smile. She holds out her hand before the brunette.
"Now," she says, and Regina gathers that this is not a request.
With her belly clenching deep, deep, deep down, she reaches for Emma's hand, holding onto it tightly.
"Come," Emma orders, making her way out of the bedroom, through the great room and up the stairs with the brunette.
Regina didn't know this, but Emma's heart was pumping loudly inside her chest too. And somehow, both women knew… it wouldn't be like it was before. It would be better, much, much better and more erotic.
