Chapter 34

Meanwhile…

Junpei was making notes about himself and the brothers. As a cursed human, there were so many things to see and look at from different angles, as well, he took it as an opportunity to get to know them better. They are brothers after all! He's been cooking with Eso a lot, but also they have developed a similar taste in music. In fact, Eso and Tanso have since learned how to play and write it!

Junpei had always wanted to play an instrument too, yet when he was human, it was all but impossible since he lived in an apartment and money was a little tight from time to time. But now, they have no one to bother with their practice as well, Suiryu has been really good at getting them anything they need or wish to try. Junpei took up the guitar, Eso on bass and Tanso was proficient with the drums!

He goes on nature walks with Tanso, they look over his familiars as well as inspect their experiments with the blood maggots. In their travels, they have stopped three sorcerers from abusing their power and used them as test subjects to say the least. Although Itadori would frown it upon, Junpei couldn't help but feed this curiosity in him on the matter. The three sorcerers they turned never retained their minds, in fact they would be very much like zombies. They didn't speak either, they walked sluggishly but at the same time, they did retain their curse energy. "Have we thought about what to do with them?" Junpei remembered asking Tanso one morning.

The words appeared on his chest. 'I keep them around for patrols, as well they tend to my familiars too. I have over 1,000 of them now, but there's something else about this, but I am not to certain of it yet.'

Junpei made notes and wrote them down. "We should show Suiryu when he gets here… we may want to hide this from Itadori,"

'Would brother Yuuji not approve?' Tanso wrote.

"Hard to say, but let's just keep it a secret for now,"

When he was done with Tanso, he would go and see Sho, the two have developed a love of books and writing. Sho was oddly poetic, Junpei has read poems he has written and found them very deep and meaningful. "I never knew you had such a profound perspective of the world!" Junpei said with great amazement.

Sho was a little embarrassed about it all. "Yeah, well… I mean…" he stammered.

"It's nothing to be embarrassed about, you have a great gift needless to say… perhaps Eso, Tanso and I should start a band, your poems would be wonderful lyrics!"

"You think so?"

Junpei nodded and smiled. "I really do,"

Sho them promised to keep writing and improve upon it!

He would help Sanso in his garden of all places. For a brother that could forge any weapon out of blood, he was peaceful and loved to see things grow. Not to mention, he figured if they grew food on their own, Eso's cooking would be greatly improved. "Not that he needs to get better at that, but I like to help him grow as a cook however I can…"

Junpei agreed.

He would see the triplets. Noranso, Kotsuso and Shouoso. The three like to play sports, Junpei was always needed when they wanted to play a game of two on two. He was one of the few brothers that could keep pace with them.

Lastly, he would see Choso.

Choso has become a painter of all things. He would find a nice clearing in the woods and paint whatever comes to mind. Most of the time though, they are of his brothers. He was really good at them too, he just finished one of Suiryu a short while ago, and it captured him perfectly. A devious grin on his lips and a mischief look in his eyes. "I love the detail you put into him!" Junpei said when he saw the finished product.

Choso nodded his approval as well. "I want to do brother Yuuji next."

"I think he would like that."

"But I want to paint him from when I first met him… before he became what he is…" he said offhandedly. "Don't get me wrong, I love brother no matter what he looks like. But at the same time, I feel that he's just not the same as before."

He understood that in many ways. Suiryu has kept them posted on his changes, just recently, he got a text from him on Yuuji's elemental progress. He took in the earth one just yesterday and has since become planted in the ground, unable to move from where he is. 'I'll be by later to check up on everyone,' was the last text he got.

As Junpei made his way back, he found Suiryu had arrived and was speaking with Eso and Tanso. The two appeared devastated. Junpei felt a pit in his stomach, something must have happened to Itadori. He came running up as Suiryu saw him from the corner of his eye. "Hey…"

"What happened to Yuuji?"

Suiryu sighed. "Some asshats tried to set him on fire this morning… we caught them and those bastards are being punished. But we are keeping watch over him. Someone is staying with him no matter what so this can't happen again"

Junpei saw fury in the eyes of his brothers. Tanso's eyes even changed to that of a beast when he's upset! His teeth turned fanged as well.

"Huh, new adaptation Tanso?" Suiryu asked as he quickly calmed down.

"They shouldn't be attacking little brother like that…" Eso said with a sneer.

Suiryu nodded. "If anything perhaps we can have you all help him too, take turns looking after him. He's going to be lonely sleeping outside with his condition and all…"

"I'll do it," Junpei said instantly. "We can watch movies!"

"He would like that… so… have you three gotten better at your little hobbies? That was expensive equipment I got you…" he said in a joking tone.

"We have, I didn't realize we could copy music after hearing it once."

"Please, you are like me and probably got some of that from Yuuji too. When we both see a jujutsu at work, we can break down the fundamentals of it rather quickly, same must be for your music too…"

Suddenly a phone went off. Suiryu peered down and answered it. "Hello?"

"SUIRYU DARLING, SAVE ME!"

He had to hold the phone away from his ear from the shouting man on the other end of it. "D'angelo… what has you so panicked?"

Junpei could hear the voice of a rather flamboyant man on the other end. "Suiryu… my dear… please… please… PLEASE tell me you know of a metal band or something… I am desperate…"

"Metal band?"

The story was this, this D'angelo guy is Suiryu's fashion photographer. He was asked to help with a concert coming up and doing photos of the feature band, the problem was, the feature band that got the opportunity is terrible. Worst, they don't even play. "Then how the fuck did they get the job?" he demanded.

"One is the son of some big shot, they must have bought their way in, but the thing is the concert thing… the one running it is the top man in the industry, no one in Japan doesn't know his name. He's specialized in metal and horror… in fact, the photo shoot you and your brother did, he's the one that wants more of you two… but for now… please… help me!"

Suiryu smirked a little as he turned to Junpei and his brothers. "Do they want a horror metal band?"

"YOU KNOW ONE!"

"I may, it depends… Look I'll come by soon with some people and see if we can help you out…"

"I'LL KISS YOU IF YOU DO!"

"Please, don't," Suiryu pleaded. He hung up and turned to them with a twisted grin. "So, as I was saying… have you guys gotten good?"

Junpei smirked as he turned to Eso and Tanso. They smiled back and nodded. "We can play, in fact, if they really want creepy…" he lifted his shirt to show off his other mouths on each side of his torso. "I can get these two to sing as well!"

Suiryu appeared impressed. "Good, but let's look the part here. Junpei bulk up a little more, move around the blood you got and make yourself a little more… rockstar worthy… Eso, you remembered what you wore the first time you were given a body?"

D'angelo was pacing.

The 'band' that arrived were nothing more than some punk teenagers looking to make a name for themselves on image alone. That was why they got sent to him, he could make anyone look good. There was no problem in doing it, however, D'angelo has standards. If they are worth promoting, he will make them appear like gods. But, if they out to make a quick name for themselves, he just can't bring himself to do it.

"What's the hold up!" one of the teens shouted. "We're supposed to be doing a photo shoot!"

He sighed aloud. "Look, your spray on abs are not fooling anyone… Your look is stupid… you appear to be a rip off of Insane clown posy and Rob Zombie… I am NOT going to make you look good, you don't deserve it! You have no talent to even play the instruments I brought in for action shots. Like HELL I am going through with this."

"Look here rainbow bright. You got a job to do, do it!"

D'angelo sneered, their 'manager' is actually one of the kid's handlers hired by daddy to make sure the kid stays out of trouble and out of the way.

He was about to snap back when he heard. "So, whose suppose to be playing here…"

That deep baritone voice somehow set his mind at ease. He turned and saw Suiryu wonder in.

The teens sneered at him. "Your boyfriend?" one joked.

"Oh honey, if I had him all to myself. Like hell I would ever make it to work again!" D'angelo snapped back. "Suiryu… darling… please… please tell me…"

Suiryu gave him but a wink as he turned his focus to the other teenagers in the room. "Funny, I thought guys like you would have been upstairs by now… they are doing that model swimsuit calendar for next year. The babes in that… wow…" he said and licked his lips oddly. "They are smoking… great asses to!"

Suddenly, they appeared disinterested in the photo shoot. "This is stupid, let's go pick up some models!"

"Wait…" their handler rushed out, as the teens were quick to make an exit.

D'angelo sighed. "Now… about that other band to replace them…"

"Ah, not yet… besides, they want to make an entrance worthy of the genera. Mind if we let them set up… after, shut off the lights and bring whomever you are trying to impress in. When your company is ready, so will they."

"Let me say this… if you pull this off Suiryu… I swear to God, I will kiss your feet!"

He snickered. "Save your kisses, let's see if we can pull this off."
