As always think you for all the reviews! I really do enjoy reading what everyone thinks of my stories.
Cherry Tarts
"Good morning, Finral!" Charmy said running up to him when he walked into the dining room holding a basket above her head. "I finished those cherry tarts for your brother!"
"Oh... T-thanks." When I told her to make as many as she wanted, I didn't expect her to make an entire basketful... especially one that big...
Really? Have you seen the amount of food she's made since she joined the squad? I was actually expecting a bigger basket.
"You're welcome!" She smiled widely as he took the basket. She turned and ran back to the table where a bunch of sheep where making food.
Finral went to sit next to Vanessa.
"I think she stayed up all night making those for you," Vanessa chuckled.
"Really?! Charmy! You didn't have to do that!"
"I know!" She said looking up from her large plate of food. "I wanted to!"
"Hey, Finral," Yami said walking into the kitchen after awhile. "Finish eating. We're heading to the Golden Dawn. Goldy Guts wants to talk to me about something... Don't know why he can't just come here, he's the one that wants to talk."
"Kay. I wanted to go there today anyway," he said before taking his last bite of food and walking over to Yami.
Yami and Finral walked though the court yard of the Golden Dawn's Headquater. There where members of the sqaude setting at lawn tables and in the grass under trees, enjoying the nice weather. one or two of them from each group spotted them and begain to whipser. Finral shrunk back behind Yami, feeling uncomfertable under their watchful eyes.
"Captain Yami, of the Black Bulls," an older member of the sqaud said from a lawn chair. he stood up and walked over. "Captain Vangeance, asked me to escort you to his office."
"And why the hell couldn't he have just come to my hideout? He is the one that wanted to talk after all. I don't see why I'm the one that should be comeing to him. If he wanted to talk so bad, he should have come to me," Yami glared at the man.
"With all due respect, sir. Captain Vangeance is a very busy man..."
"And I'm not?!"
"Uh... well... no sir... that is not what I meant. It's just..."
"It's just nothing. Hurry up so I can get this over with and go home."
"R-right. Please excuse the inconvenience."
"Just get moving."
"Uh... Y-yes sir."
"Finral do whatever you want till I get back. Go find your brother or whatever. And don't make me have to look for you!"
"R-right... Captain," he replied but he wasn't sure if Yami actualy heard him.
Jeez, he's a pain. Tells you to do whatever you want then basicly tells you not to move an inch. I'm glad he's not my captain.
FInral let out a sigh. Is this seriously coming from the guy litteraly hitching a ride in my body? I feel like his insane requests should be more of a pain to you then they are to me becuase you have less of a choice in fallowing his orders then I do. He gives an order, I have to do it or he'll kill me, which then forces you to do it wrether you want to or not.
like I said, 'a pain', Fatry laughed.
Did he really have to leave me here by myself? he thought, looking around. Everyone's staring.
"Excuse me," Came the voice of a girl from behind him.
"Hmm," he said looking over his shoulder. "Y-yes."
"Your captain said something about you're brother? If I may, who is your brother."
"oh... I-it's Langris... Langris Vaude."
There where gasps from all around them.
"Y-you're Langris' brother? I-I had no idea he had a brother."
He's never even told his squad about you?! It's been two years since he joined.
"T-that doesn't really suprise me," he chuckled scrathing the back of his head with his free hand. "Langurs has always been the quiet type for the most part, unless you annoy him or make him angry... then it's hard to get him to stop talking... So I don't really expect him to talk about me much... if at all."
"I think he just got back from a mission with some of the newbies... he might be debriefing the Captain as we spea..."
"Ni-San. What are you doing here?"
"Langris!" Finral replied turning around to find his brother walking towards him. "I brought you something," he added holding up the basket Charmy had given him.
"Like I'd want anything from the shame of the family. I saw that captain of yours on his way to meet Captain Vangeance... You probably just brought that to say that you where coming here anyway and offered him a ride... when in reality he made you bring him, being his little pack mule and all."
"A-Actually... it's cherry tarts, your favorite, I asked our newest member to make you some last night, she made some for when I got beck from our family dinner and they were really good, so I thought you might like some... She might have gone a little overboard though... But that was my fault... I told her you liked them and wouldn't complain if there were a lot... I only found out after breakfast that Yami needed to come and asked if I would bring him... of course he didn't know I was coming anyway, but..."
Langris sighed before turning back to the building and gestured for Finral to follow him inside.
"S-something wrong?" Finral asked as they walked down the hall.
Langris didn't respond. They turned down a few different corridors until they reached a staircase that Langris led him up. After a few more minutes of walking Langris stopped in front of a door before opening it.
Finral looked around the bedroom. It was much larger then his room at the Black Bulls... maybe even bigger then his room at house Vaude, he wasn't sure, but it was definitely way bigger then one person needed. He felt the wait of the basket he was carrying vanish and he looked up just in time for Langris to grab him by his robe and shove him into the door.
"The hell do you think you're doing, Ni-San?!"
"W-what are you talking about?"
"If you so much as done anything to farther embarrass the house of Vaude, while you were unsupervised in that court yeard, talking to that girl... or anyone for that mater... I swear I'll fill you with holes so fast you'll never see it coming!"
"W-what? W-what did I do? She came up to me, I was content with laying in the grass, watching the clouds, hoping you showed up while I waited for Yami to finish talking to Captain Vangeance."
"That's not what I was talking about! I thought I told you not to show up at my squads base! If you have something to say to me, send a letter and I'll meet you in town!"
"But isn't it more convenient for you if I just use my magic and come to you then making you stop your work or whatever to meet me somewhere? Besides I didn't want to talk, I wanted to bring you a gift... Unless you want to talk... There's that festival coming up soon... if you want..."
"I'm a Magic Knight. I'm busy," Langris said finally letting go of Finral's robe and stepping back.
"W-we could see if we can go on a joined squad mission to patrol the festival... You could catch any criminal that might be there and I could..."
"I said no!"
"R-right... s-sorry... I just thought..."
"Maybe you should just stop thinking. I'm not going to go somewhere and goof off with you! I have more important things to do like prepare for when I become head of our house!"
"R-right... Sorry," Finral said looking to the floor as he walked over to the desk that Langris had sat the basket.
"Leave it." Langris said sternly.
Finral's head snapped up, confused, "but you said..."
"Leave the charry tarts and go."
Finral stared at Langris, who was looking way from him with his arms crossed.
Slowly a smiled appeared across Finral's face, "okay. I'll see you later Langris."
