34. Chapter 34

Chapter 34: Biollantoid.

Kyle: "Let's go, Ali! COME ON!" Ali punched her opponent in the octagon, then tripped her to the ground. While her opponent was punching to try and get Ali off of her, Ali was still persistent in getting on top of her. I like to say that training with me helps her do a lot better. She hasn't lost many fights in her career as an MMA fighter, and as her… unofficial coach… I think I did an okay job. Gwen taught her the harder to master moves, though. I can't take all the credit. Her real coach, a guy named Phil, ironically enough, was a pretty damn good coach. His training routines weren't hard for her to do, but it's mainly how she works for money, and she still tries to do her best at it to make him happy. Phil is a sunglasses-wearing guy, with a baseball hat on, and has a 'Dad bod.' The guy said he used to be a good fighter in his day, but I always see him as the guy that's somehow a good teacher without actually having done the activity he's teaching for, if you can believe that.

Phil: "Alright, Ali! Finish this match!" Ali began to trap her opponent in a guillotine when she rolled out of it.

Kyle: "DAMN!" I looked to Phil. He looked to me and nodded, but looked back at the fight. Ali got hit with a barrage of kicks while she blocked then grabbed the leg, and hit her opponent in the gut, knocking the wind out of her before landing a hard uppercut to her gut. Ali smirked before landing more punches and knocking her back down. This match had been going for four rounds already, and this was the fifth and final round, if you were curious. I got up, focusing intently. These matches are always dramatic for me, because I never know how these are going to go. She limits herself against the MMA fighters on purpose to allow them to have a fair fight against them. She doesn't use her armor, other alien powers and abilities, or even her aura. She's as durable as a normal human at that point, and that always has me worried, though I usually fix her up afterwards anyway, so she doesn't have to spend her paychecks on hospital visits, yay!

Kyle: "YOU GOT THIS! COME ON!" Ali, in response to my encouragement, hit her more with more punches, then finally knocked her opponent out with a high kick to the head. Yes, Ali was bloodied up, but she was fine.

Phil: "HELL YEAH!"

Kyle: "That's my girl!" Phil and I high-fived each other.

Announcer: "The winner, and now champion of Bellwood, California, ALI LEVIN!" The referee had held Ali's hand up, and she was still smiling about it. I went Ghostfreak to phase into the arena, then turned back to normal.

Ultima: "Not bad."

Kyle: "HOT DAMN!" Ali hugged me right away as Phil slapped Ali on the back.

Ali: "Agh! Phil!"

Phil: "Hey, can't all of us be happy for you? You did really well again."

Kyle: "Don't worry, I'll fix you right up." Ali shifted back out of her MMA attire into her normal look, and her aura took over her body again.

Ali: "It sure isn't easy to do this, you know?"

Kyle: "I could guess… though I usually have my guard up."

Ultima: "Yeah, usually."

Ali: "Let's go home, huh? I'd prefer to avoid the paparazzi tonight." I nodded. As she grabbed my hand, I teleported us both off to the base with Chaos Control. Everyone else, even Kayla, had gone off to see Max for a trip for the weekend, mini-road trip style, but as Ali had an MMA match to attend, I elected to stay behind with her, despite the cameras and fan clubs still roaming around Bellwood. I had to brave them to be with her sometimes, but Ali and I had other plans tonight. We looked into each other's eyes, happy to escape from the crowds.

Kyle: "We're here."

Ali: "Good. Shall we get started?"

Kyle: "With what?" She looked at me oddly in response.

Ali: "You and I were going to have some… FUN…?" She ended up moving her eyebrows suggestively.

Kyle: "OH! Right."

Ultima: "Welp, time to tune you two out." I looked at her as she said this. She materialized out of the watch, with a one-piece strapless swimsuit on. It was black with red stripes designed in a way to look like Galvanic Mechomorph lines across it, and her hair was done up in one long ponytail behind her.

Ali: "What's with that look?"

Ultima: "I'll be using the indoor pool for a bit, don't mind me." She walked off. I looked around awkwardly. Ali then looked at me. When Ultima was out of view, she spoke again.

Ali: "She never lets me try anything fun with your alien forms on me."

Kyle: "Probably because it's awkward to her for me to use her like that? Those DNA strands technically belong to her. If I were her, I'd be a bit weirded out myself, you know." That's how it makes sense in my head anyway. Ali sighed.

Ali: "I think you are right, but she is attached to YOU anyway."

Kyle: "We kinda share the same body now, Ali. If she feels uncomfortable being used that way, I have no right to MAKE her do that with me, even if it is to make you happier. Pretend you're her for a second." I saw her go into thought about this, then look back at me as if realizing what I was saying.

Ali: "Okay, good point."

Kyle: "Okay, then. You want to try something on me, perhaps?"

Ali: "I think I can improvise something really quickly." She pulled me in with some tendrils coming out of her arms and began kissing me in the hallways leading to our room here. Welp… this could get nasty, allow me to cut to later.

Later…

We were both under our covers, stripped down, and panting heavily.

Kyle: "Wow… okay. That was kinda cool."

Ali: "I didn't know I could… wow." We looked at each other, and began making out all over again.

Kyle: "Mmm… I didn't know… how that was going to end… but it was great!"

Ali: "I… improvised… the whole… thing! Mmm!" We stopped for a moment, with her on top of me, looking down into my eyes.

Ali: "Good to know I have skills then."

Kyle: "Yeah. Totally. Kind of wish I had most of mine right now, though. Would have been fun."

Ali: "Didn't your aliens have minds even before Ultima, though?"

Kyle: "Oh… right…" Would they know how I felt about that now? When I was younger, I was crazier about that. Had to repress my urges around Gwen, though, she was too young to conceive most of that dirty stuff, though it became obvious she heard more from the students as she got older, and I would elaborate on certain things. Raven was my only female alien that talked to me for the longest time, but having her in my head helped me understand some emotions and physical needs better, sure. Nowadays, I tend to look back on High School Me and think, wow, I was so weird.

Kyle: "Raven was pretty good about things. Still kind of is. Though I can't speak to her now because Ultima is taking herself swimming."

Ali: "Right. How does your head feel usually?"

Kyle: "Like a bustling city. For eternity. It's a miracle I can think."

Ali: "Oh God." She got up, still covering herself with her bedsheets.

Kyle: "But when Ultima is disconnected from me to do her thing, the quiet is kind of nice. Good change of pace form the norm and all that shit."

Ali: "Right." She looked to the floor.

Kyle: "Is something eating you?"

Ali: "No. I don't think I've ever heard you explain these things before."

Kyle: "Now that Ultima's sentient and I think of her as a 'she' rather than an 'it' because she was a regular AI in the past, and the fact we share the SAME DAMN BODY… I have to take her thoughts and opinions into this, too, you know."

Ali: "Got me, there."

Kyle: "We need to work together, after all. We both have a claim, she's been with me for five years."

Ali: "Of course." She looked at me again.

Kyle: "Look, she wasn't sentient until recently, you already know that. Come on. And besides, I love you." When Ali smiled at me, I was feeling a little better, but I still thought this would eat at her for some time. I know I made Ultima promise not to interfere, but some things Ultima has responded with and how she reacts to Ali always makes me worry about how they perceive each other. This may be a big deal later on in the future. I truly hope that they can get along someday, as I want Ali to stay, but Ultima is a big requirement for me, as I found out. She was bonded to my life force as well as my DNA. She was a lifeline I had, and not just for combat. I put my hand on her back. She raised it to her shoulder and snuggled closer to me.

Ali: "Just don't become too attached to her. Or, more than you already are." I nodded.

Kyle: "I don't think I could be." She ended up hugging me tightly. I felt some electric tingles just then as well. Made me wonder what the big deal was, as I had never felt it before. My blanked out Ultimatrix absorbed some of it, and I must have shook, because Ali looked confused.

Ali: "You okay?"

Kyle: "Yes. I am. You?"

Ali: "I will be. Just still dealing."

Kyle: "I gathered." We ended up taking a quick nap after this, and left our room after we redressed. After all, it was a long night with Ali's match, and I wanted Ultima to return to the watch before too long, just in case we ever had someone try to attack us at night. I walked to the pool, and Ali had shifted her look into a one-piece backless swimsuit. Ultima got out, and began to dry herself off. She smiled to me as Ali dove into the water.

Ultima: "Need to relieve some stress?"

Ali: "A little. Kyle and I had fun, by the way."

Ultima: "Good to know you two aren't arguing. Come on." I nodded, and let Ultima follow me to the dining room, where I synthesized us some pizza. Ultima happily began eating with me. I yawned.

Ultima: "She put you through the ringer with your mating?" I nearly choked on a bite, but managed to swallow it in time.

Kyle: "Yes, Ultima. Look. I don't expect you and Ali to be best friends, ever but you both kind of need to accept that you both are around now. I love you both, but in different ways. Ali thinks you're trying to take me away from her, and for some reason, you perceive her as a possible risk to me, and I can't figure out why."

Ultima: "Well, considering Kevin's history of absorbing your powers, I figured you would be cautious about-"

Kyle: "Ultima!" I had to take a deep breath to prevent myself from screaming louder, but there had to be more to it than that.

Kyle: "She is an Osmosian. But even when we first met her, she's been able to control her tastes for energy absorption when Kevin could not. She was always able to control her taste for it, even after absorbing power, if you remember her Hellspawn form, her Mobian state, the Firecracker form, and of course her Draculust state, although she lost it in that form the first time she turned into it. I think that was her first form she got besides her butterfly wings. My point is, though, that she has always been able to resist that temptation, and even fight it when she falls to it. So if there's something that is really up that you want to discuss with me, let's talk."

Ultima: "Okay. Chaotix was an example of how they could go nuts, but her DNA seems AWFULLY weird when compared to Kevin's upon closer examination. It makes me want to take precautions."

Kyle: "Ultima, Kevin and Ali are siblings. Of course they have similar DNA to each other… wait. Weird? How?"

Ultima: "I think I need to show you what I mean, then. I've already shared these findings with Bella."

Bella: "Good, you two are alone."

Kyle: "AGH!" I turned around, seeing Bella munching on a cupcake before swallowing it whole.

Bella: "How are you doing? I finally can have some time back-"

Kyle: "Wait! Before you go ANY further…"

Bella: "I don't have anything anomalous on me, I've cleared myself of any possible traces of memetic hazards, and my memories haven't been altered." I nodded.

Ultima: "I would have detected it if she did, and we now have countermeasures here at the base courtesy of myself." I was happier to hear that, at least. "UNLESS it's really nasty."

Bella: "I looked at the scans myself, and then double-checked with Azmuth, too, since he's still smarter than me, and would be much better versed in it."

Kyle: "You two went with this without consulting me?"

Ultima: "Only because we wanted to have our facts straight."

Bella: "I would never leave you high and dry like that. I was going to tell you what they eventually decided to do with 10KT, but it can wait." They guided me to the vehicle bay, where the Ghost Rider still sat. I want to ride her again real soon, she's a damn good bike. When we got to the computer, I looked at their findings. I noticed the diagram said Kevin.

Kyle: "That's Kevin's DNA."

Ultima; "It was easy enough to get a sample of this, seeing as you had both Terramorph and Chaotix in your roster, and they both have elements of Kevin in their composition."

Kyle: "Of course, but that seems obvious. Where's the stuff you really wanted to show me?"

Bella: "Oh, right." She scrolled down, and pointed to Ali's DNA. I looked at the graphs between hers and Kevin's, then gasped a bit. It was very different than what I expected. What I witnessed made it seem like there was a part of my own Ultimate Life Form DNA in there.

Bella: "Yeah. Odd, isn't it?"

Kyle: "I'll say. From how I can interpret it… She shouldn't have that in there. I mean, it's been in there for a bit, right?"

Bella: "Yes. The evidence points to it. Azmuth's analysis confirmed it. The age on that bit is nearly as old as she is herself."

Ultima; "There isn't any logical way that should be true, but all the data points to exact aging to yours, which is impossible. You come from another dimension, and only one person would know about this. The Supreme Kai of Time." Hearing this did not inspire any confidence. I still believe in Ali. She would never lie to me, right? She never told me she was split off from her parents long enough for this to happen. Was all of this planned by someone? Who would have known about me being born in the Sonic Universe only to transfer the Ultimate Life Form DNA to some girl in the Ben 10 Universe at nearly the exact same time?

Bella: "I guess you realized this leads to her being genetically modified. I doubt the Supreme Kai of Time would have gone out of her way like this, so this has to be another time bender behind the scenes in some way. I don't know who besides Eon. But the only Eon who knew about you then is the one from this universe, and he never would've done this JUST to make sure your destiny went as it did."

Kyle: "Agreed. It seems so farfetched, like… there's something else going on behind the scenes. It has to be." I was still thinking deeply about it. This was way too weird to be a Bella prank, I was sure of it.

Bella: "Would I really mess with you over something like this? Especially after Ali's been with you for a while? Get real, Kyle." Yeah, Bella wouldn't lie to me over this. I'm better off listening.

Bella: "Exactly. Especially since I can kick your butt."

Kyle: "And you can stop reading my mind?!" She giggled in response.

Ultima: "Just keep it in the back of your mind for now. Let's act as if we never discussed this for now, okay?"

Kyle: "For now. But if she asks me what's up, I might have to mention it." Both Bella and Ultima looked worried about my words before turning to look to me again. Ultima turned off the data, and gave me the drive she used to store the data.

Ultima: "Keep this. And remember. JUST the three of us. For now."

Kyle: "Okay. It would mess up Kevin and Ali more than the others." I would head back to the dining room to see Ali eating some burgers. Ultima beamed herself back into the Ultimatrix on the way to her.

Ali: "Hi. How are you now?"

Kyle: "Bella's back from the SCP Universe. 10KT was secured, but she hasn't elaborated on how. Part of me doesn't want to know." I sat down with her, swiping a burger.

Ali: "Good thing we can eat whatever we want and still be fit."

Kyle: "People would kill for that ability." We continued eating for a bit.

Ali: "So… the fight was good?"

Kyle: "It was badass. You proved to everyone that you don't need powers to win fights against normal people."

Ali: "It was my first televised fight. I was a little worried I wouldn't do well, but I did. I'm happy for myself." I smiled back.

Kyle: "I believed in you. I always do." The thoughts of Ali's DNA were in my mind. While Ali can feel what my emotions are, she can't read my mind.

Ali: "Is something bothering you, Kyle?"

Kyle: "No. It's nothing. I just want to make sure you're fine. Did you get a call from Ben or Max about their camping trip?"

Ali: "No, I haven't. Ben, Kayla, Gwen, and Kevin all went out there, right?"

Kyle: "Yeah. They seemed like they were all ready to have a good time."

Ali: "Why didn't you go with them?"

Kyle: "I wanted to see your match in person. It's something I really want to do." I smiled to her.

Ali: "Great. Having you there actually boosted my confidence a fair bit. I was sure I could do it, but the recording and the pressure kind of worried me."

Kyle: "Good to know. You seemed like you were just focusing on the fight and all."

Ali: "Phil said it works to block people out. Good thing I knew how."

Kyle: "Yeah, I agree. It's just hard for me to do so. Speaking to people in their underwear just feels odd. Who made that a piece of advice?"

Ali: "I couldn't say." We chuckled about it.

Kyle: "We should probably head to bed soon, sleep off the injuries and other thoughts we have going on."

Ali: "Sure thing, Kyle. No problem." The two of us ended up sleeping after this.

Third Person POV…

Out in the middle of nowhere, underground where the others were camped out, there was a plant where a HighBreed was being stored. There was one in cryostasis, arms crossed over his body, and he waited. Near the Highbreed was a light pillar coming down from the ceiling above the device. A green figure with a yellow-green visor with sphere-shaped crawling robots entered. The figure had a hairdo shaped like a diamond, and a triangular shaped stone on their head. When they spoke, a female voice left the figure's mouth. She had activated a holo-screen coming from her floating fingers.

Figure: "Finally! The HighBreed's stasis chamber! After the fight was lost due to Bella's interference…and the 'Kyle' she was with further complicated things, I can initiate the last step of the plan for Earth. The Flask Robonoids located the HighBreed's cryostasis chamber so we can activate the contingency plan to start our colony. Peridot facet 5XG out." She walked over to the device, turned off the chamber, ending the cryostasis. It took some time as the steam cleared away. The HighBreed left the chamber.

Peridot 5XG: "Hello. I have bad news for you."

HighBreed: "I know. If I was reawakened, it meant that the war was lost, and that Tennyson won." Peridot looked surprised.

Peridot 5XG: "Wow, you remembered. Excellent. That is true. The system is still intact, with both the original specs, and adjustments I made to make sure it can get its job done. I can warp you straight there." She gestured towards the crystal in the floor of the room.

HighBreed: "Good. Take me to the main activation room for the machine."

Peridot 5XG: "Excellent." Peridot took the HighBreed to the warp pad in the floor and warped them off to another area. When they got to their destination, some blue skinned Gems with rainbow dreadlocks (called Bismuths), were adding the final touches to the machine.

Peridot 5XG: "Bismuth 8FX! The HighBreed has been called in!" A lead Bismuth, one dressed in a blue jumpsuit with a yellow diamond emblem walked in. Her gemstone was in her arm and was multicolored like the rainbow that was her hair.

Bismuth 8FX: "About time. The final strike against Tennyson starts now. Our Diamond will be pleased to hear about our progress." She grinned, and looked back to the construction being done. Some Flask Robonoids, several Peridots, and many Bismuths were toiling away. The Bismuths were doing the physical work, the Peridots were all discussing the plans and updating their reports in real time, reporting to a computer marked with a big diamond symbol where there was a big diamond arranged from four smaller diamonds, each colored white, yellow, blue, and pink. The HighBreed laughed to himself.

HighBreed: "This will finally… FINALLY mark the triumph of the one true race."

Peridot 5XG: "You mean the TWO true races, organic. Don't overstep your bounds. You came to US for help, remember?" The HighBreed turned to look at her.

HighBreed: "Indeed. My apologies. But your help from before did not help, if you remember. Tennyson and his friends are still alive."

Peridot 5XG: "The answer to this is obvious. He was not alone. He figured out interdimensional or parallel universal travel. And the end result speaks for itself." What she showed him was footage of Kyle, Ben, Kayla, Omni, Tonto, Bella, and Trey all fighting the DNAliens. Some extra footage of Julie, Alan, Darkstar, Cooper, Paradox, and even Azmuth pogoing on the ray gun he was given was shown.

Peridot 5XG: "And THIS human has been giving us the most problems. We've dealt with her for most of our reign." The footage centered on Bella. A Jasper Gem, with a gemstone as her nose came in. Her diamond was pink instead of yellow.

Jasper: "The Diamonds have been trying to kill her for centuries. We sent a Chalcedony assassin out to kill Tennyson months back, with all the tools necessary to defeat his many forms, and she has not returned. We believe she failed her mission. Our Chalcedonies NEVER fail. It has to be the work of this human!"

Bismuth 8FX: "Jasper! Calm down! We know 6TC was your friend. But we will make sure her loss wasn't in vain. I doubt they shattered her. We may be able to recover her." Jasper sighed.

Jasper: "Sorry. She was our best Chalcedony. We wouldn't just lose her like that. It's unheard of." 8FX patted her on the back.

Bismuth 8FX: "This HighBreed here is going to make sure the job is done this time, though. Right?" She looked insistently at the HighBreed. The HighBreed looked at 8FX intently.

HighBreed: "I will kill Tennyson, and these other humans. Or die trying." This seemed to relieve Jasper's feelings slightly.

Jasper: "You'd better. Otherwise, we'll need to take over your job for you!"

Peridot 5XG: "Indeed. Our Diamonds despise failure. Especially from an organic we put our trust in. Do not fail us again." The HighBreed nodded.

HighBreed: "I guarantee Tennyson will be gone by the end of this day. You have my word."

Peridot 5XG: "Then you had better get started." The HighBreed nodded. He went to the Bismuths to start up the machine. Once he did, several beacons of light were sent out. The HighBreed began laughing in response to this, then it went into maniacal laughter. Many of the Gems rolled their eyes, but many of the Bismuths joined in the laughter.

Peridot 5XG: "Clod…"

Jasper: "Indeed." They left the room.

With Ben…

Ben's POV…

Ben: "That's great, Kyle!"

Kyle: "Did you guys get to see the live stream?"

Ben: "We couldn't see it live, but we did save the data of the stream and watched it before bed. Thanks a lot for that."

Kevin: "Ali knows how to fight. It was fun."

Gwen: "I can do that, too, you know!" Everyone else chuckled. We were at Grandpa Max's RV, camping out for the weekend before school opens up on the weekday. Grandpa even allowed me to bring Kayla! Speaking of Kayla…

Kayla: "Am I setting this up too soon?" I looked at her, and we all saw her setting up the fire pit.

Max: "Not yet, Kayla!"

Kayla: "Oh man… I wanted to have a campfire for once."

Ben: "You've never had a campfire before?"

Kayla: "Yeah, but not with other people. At least… not on Earth with other people. Sorry, Kev." Kevin was giving her a look.

Ben: "Everything okay, man?" Kevin sighed in response.

Kevin: "Yeah. She's right, though. Argit and I did make a fire with her. First time Argit had s'mores." He smirked about it.

Max: "I also saved some of my favorites from our first trip with Kyle, kids!" Gwen and I immediately felt grossed out. He already brought out the mealworms.

Gwen and Ben: "Grandpa!" Max chuckled.

Max: "The only thing missing is…" He looked around.

Max: "Oh right."

Ben: "I'm sure Kyle would be here if he was available to. Don't feel down, Grandpa."

Max: "I know. We all just had a great vacation together, that's all."

Gwen: "It wasn't the only one we had, Grandpa. Don't even try to ignore THAT summer."

Max; "I could never! Times were very different, then." He was getting the mealworms ready to cook. Kayla transformed into Flarecrow to light the fire up for him.

Flarecrow Kayla: "Always time for a quick lunch?"

Max: "Sure thing. Thanks, Kayla." Kayla nodded before changing back and sitting down to join him. Kayla happily ate the mealworms. The rest of us weren't sure.

Kevin: "So this is where she gets her appetite from?"

Gwen: "She shares a lot with Kyle. I don't think this is surprising at all."

Ben: "I'm telling ya, it's their Mobian stomachs."

Kayla: "That's gotta be it." She grinned at us when Max sat in front of us.

Max: "I gotta thank you kids for coming out for the weekend. Did you all get your homework done?" Kevin and Kayla ended up chuckling.

Kevin: "What are you talking about, Max? Me? Homework? As if!"

Kayla: "I already graduated."

Gwen: "Kept up completely. My powers make my hectic schedule much easier to handle."

Ben: "Um…" I had to admit, I haven't touched it yet this weekend.

Max: "Still got some, Ben?" I nodded.

Ben: "I was hoping to get it done when I got back…"

Kayla: "Oh no. You did NOT just leave it home, Benji. Wait here." She teleported off.

Gwen: "You had to mention it?"

Ben: "Sure did. Oh man." Kevin began laughing.

Kevin: "Man oh man, Ben. You still procrastinating?"

Ben: "Well, Bella and Kyle's training sessions are far more interesting and action packed. It's hard to stay focused on my schoolwork nowadays." Gwen seemed to sympathize with me, and Grandpa slid me a plate of the mealworms. I sighed, and turned into Upchuck to get ready to eat it.

Max: "Ben…"

Upchuck Ben: "What?"

Max: "Can't you eat it? Look at Kayla." I became Emerald, remembering Bella saying that Gems that she knew like to eat weird things. I threw the mealworms into my mouth.

Emerald: "Hey… okay. This is okay." I began chewing, and Kayla poofed back in.

Kayla: "I found your homework, Ben. Your mom was pretty pissed at you for-" She looked at me as Emerald eating the worms.

Max: "You did it, Ben!"

Gwen: "And now Ben has joined the 'Stomach of Steel' club."

Kevin: "I'll say. I don't think my stomach got changed when I mutated. I could've used it." We all ended up laughing for this.

Kayla and Gwen: "Nice one, Kevin." They then realized they said the same thing as each other.

Emerald: "Kay?"

Kayla: "Anyway, I got your homework, Ben. I'll help if you need it." She set it in front of me and went inside the RV.

Gwen: "OK…" Kevin shrugged. Grandpa looked confused. I was still munching on my mealworms.

Emerald: "These are better than I thought. Man! I gotta start steeling up my stomach in my human form."

Max: "Glad you like it Ben, good job on finally getting out of your comfort zone."

Emerald: "At least as Emerald. She's got the best stomach of all my forms for sure!"

Kevin: "Alien X has the best everything, man."

Emerald: "Yeah, but only Kayla and Kyle can use him freely. Or her in Kay's case. Man. I wish I could use him." Unlike the others, I can't use Alien X freely. In fact…

Flashback… (Cue to before Bella showing up…)

Kyle: "Okay, Ben. Remember, Alien X is not gonna be easy to negotiate with. I just had that other guy suppress them in the past, but Bellicus, Serena, and I are on pretty good terms now, so they're cool with me. Yours on the other hand… I don't know what Albedo may have done to them. He probably just treated all of them like DNA strands and that was it."

Ben: "Got it. Here goes!" I hit the Ultimatrix down, and turned into Alien X. My form had green eyes, opposite to Kyle's red.

Alien X Ben: "ALIEN X!"

Kyle: "Okay, now what? Ben?... BEN!" I could hear him, but not talk to him.

Ben: "Kyle! I'm here and-"

Bellicus: "Oh… this." I turned around, seeing two green floating heads.

Serena: "You're different. Than Albedo, at least."

Ben: "I'm the new user of this watch. Ben Tennyson. Albedo's been thrown in jail."

Serena: "Oh good! Albedo tried to get US to kill Kyle Tennyson. I couldn't allow that!"

Bellicus: "I am all for venting rage of course, but killing for the sake of revenge… especially over something as petty as what Albedo wanted to kill Kyle for, we denied it. REPEATEDLY. We eventually booted him out because he annoyed us both."

Serena: "I motioned to change his alignment, but noooo… you chose banishment." Bellicus rolled his eyes. Or I thought he rolled his eyes. They both looked at me.

Bellicus: "So, what shall we deliberate on?"

Ben: "Deliberate?"

Serena: "We don't do anything unless we can come to an agreement. And now that we have a voice of reason, a tiebreaker, this will be so much easier."

Ben: "But Kyle has control over his Alien X form. How about we come to an agreement about how I can use you guys when I really need to?" Serena and Bellicus looked confused.

Bellicus: "And that means what?"

Ben: "It means that I have control of the body and I do what I need to do when I use your form."

Serena: "And give you THAT much control? After we kicked out Albedo not that long ago? Motion denied."

Ben: "What?! But you guys know who I am and who Kyle is, right?"

Serena: "Yes. But not because we are on Kyle's network. The versions of us in his Ultimatrix and the versions of us you are experiencing are completely different. And with how Albedo treated the beings in this Ultimatrix, we're not too trusting of others."

Ben: "And I'll need to earn you guys' trust, right?" They nodded.

Bellicus: "And we'll need to discuss things with you now to ensure that you are not going to use the other aliens in the same ways Albedo tried to."

Ben: "I've been helping Kyle a lot, I mean, you both have seen that right?"

Serena: "I have. Bellicus is not all about agreeing with me, as he usually is." She gave him a glare, looking very annoyed.

Bellicus: "I don't see your point. Ben here could change at any time. Needless to mention, even WE agreed on keeping the Tailed Beasts sealed from Ben."

Ben: "That's why I haven't been affected by them yet."

Bellicus: "Keeping in mind that we used our powers to make a stronger lock on them once Albedo lost this Ultimatrix. We can't affect them directly, but we did increase the effectiveness of the seal on them. In this watch." At least this was good to hear.

Ben: "That's… good. Is there really no way I can convince you to let me have control?"

Bellicus: "No."

Serena: "Well, Bellicus is correct. Not of this form, and also because the other forms in this Ultimatrix felt it was necessary to not have to deal with it's previous wielder. Just be aware it isn't because of you. The other forms in the Ultimatrix are having us block access to their minds because of Albedo's influence. While we will inform them that he is no longer in control, they may still wish to merely watch as you are using your own abilities."

Ben: "Did you two know it would be a matter of time before I tried to turn into you?"

Bellicus: "Be it out of curiosity or desperation, we assumed the situation would come up."

Serena: "And we were right. While many of our discussions were about the usual tabled motions, Albedo was the most obvious and most immediate issue we had to set aside our differences for, and on the off chance that someone else obtained the Ultimatrix, we would allow our form to be accessible to the new user, and we would discuss new terms from there. Complete control of Alien X is not something we are willing to grant at this time. Please understand."

Ben: "No, I get it. Albedo messed things up for you and every other alien in here."

Bellicus: "His evil messed with many of the forms in the Ultimatrix. We were lucky we acted before it affected us." I nodded. This all seemed farfetched, and considering exactly how things went, especially with Kyle's influence, Albedo's new human/Mobian hybrid DNA would also be affecting his watch a lot. It's not like Kyle knows everything, but he has worked to teach me what he does know, and he means well, of course.

Serena: "We have allowed access to most other forms, of course. You seem to be trustworthy enough. But Alien X is not something we are very willing to give readily as the versions of us in Kyle's Ultimatrix may be open to. He seems to be quite special to sway the minds of a Celestialsapien like us."

Ben: "Maybe it isn't like that exactly. He had help." This surprised them.

Bellicus: "If they were willing to work with Kyle regardless, it must be a good thing."

Serena: "So, now that you know… would you like to speak with us about the tabled motions?"

Ben: "That won't be necessary. If you're willing to let me go, though… I'll come back when I'm ready." The two heads looked at each other, and nodded.

Bellicus: "Seconded. We will inform the others of you."

Serena: "Motion carried. Good luck." I was poofed back to the real world.

Kyle; "BEN! Are you okay? What happened?!" He hugged me. I had to back off. He looked so concerned.

Ben: "Well, they let me go, but they don't want to give me control yet, considering how Albedo messed things up, to put it simply. I think they did that just to evaluate me."

Kyle: "Anything else?"

Ben: "They seemed to really hate Albedo, and I was locked out of some of the features because he was in control at the time. They even sealed off the Tailed Beasts from me once I took control of this Ultimatrix."

Kyle: "Pretty smart of them. Good to know that they could control some things so Albedo couldn't just easily end me."

Ben: "I think that was the idea. They seemed to really be annoyed by his requests to kill you."

Kyle: "These guys aren't half bad then. We'll dig further into this once you discover the minds of the aliens within."

Ben: "Sounds like a plan, bro." He nodded, and we fist-bumped.

Ben: "Still bros?"

Kyle: "Of course, my man. Sometimes, I think of us as more than mere bros."

Ben: "Good to know. We've been in this together for a while, I mean-"

Kyle: "Yeah. We have. And now that you have powers, I want you to discover how to use this whole new realm of power."

Ben: "Thanks, Kyle."

Kyle: "Hey, what else are bros for?"

End flashback.

Kevin: "And you can't go Alien X and have control of it until later?"

Kayla: "Oh man."

Gwen: "I never knew."

Max: "It's good to know you're doing more to try and gain a better understanding of the Ultimatrix you're wearing, sport." He smiled to me.

Ben: "I sure try my best, Grandpa. I feel Kyle's being so gracious with all of this, but he made us a lot better than we would be if he wasn't around."

Kayla: "I feel that was something he hoped for at the beginning. I remember that much from being him." I turned to face her.

Ben: "I appreciate you guys a lot for that."

Kayla: "No problem, babe." She winked at me. We all had decided to clean up the meal and do more camping stuff for the day. Kayla and I hopped through the trees as Spidermonkey, and Kevin was leaping through as Wildmutt. He howled at us.

Spidermonkey Ben: "Doing okay, Kev?"

Spidermonkey Kayla: "He won't be able to catch us very easily as Wildmutt." Kevin hopped at us, and nearly caught us before Kayla shot a web at him, trapping him to the branch for a second. He ripped himself out.

Wildmutt Kevin: "RAAWWWRRR!"

Spidermnokey Kayla: "Gotcha Kev! OOH-OOH!" Kevin turned into Stinkfly and began shooting goop at us. We leapt off to try and escape the goop blasts.

Stinkfly Kevin: "Not for much longer!" He flew to follow us.

Spidermonkey Ben: "HEY! You were supposed to use the branches only! Flying was off-limits!"

Spidermonkey Kayla: "Well, you know Kevin! Rules don't matter!"

Stinkfly Kevin: "Not anymore they don't! This is way fairer!" Grandpa began laughing at this display.

Gwen: "Kevin! You were supposed to play by the rules… oh man."

Max; "Just what you all would have done as kids! Dang, I miss those summer vacations. Thanks again for coming."

Gwen: "No problem, Grandpa." She took off her ID mask, revealing her full Anodite form.

Gwen: "Okay, guys. We should wrap this up before we set this place on fire."

Spidermonkey Kayla: "Okay then. Kev! Game's over!" Kevin's goop shot hit Gwen in the back.

Spidermonkey Ben: "Oh crap."

Stinkfly Kevin: "Oh no. Gwen! I didn't see you fly up! I swear!" Gwen wrapped him up in manna before he could escape.

Gwen: "Anyway… BED! We should head in for tonight!" Grandpa looked back at Gwen.

Max: "Still not used to that." Gwen took us all back to the Rust Bucket for the night, and we turned back to normal. She put the mask back on.

Gwen: "Sorry, Grandpa."

Max; "No, it's fine. You can't help it right now." We all ended up sleeping in our assigned spots from where we slept in the Rust Bucket on our first trip. I took my spot on top of Gwen's bed, Kayla slept in Kyle's old spot on the couch, Kevin slept in the area where the dinner table was, and Grandpa slept in another chair.

Later…

We woke up, with about as much yawning as anyone could after having a good sleep.

Gwen: "Hey, guys."

Kayla: "Good morning, Gwen." I walked out shortly after Gwen left her bed. Kevin woke up, but rolled away from the sun.

Kevin: "Ugh… five more minutes, sun…"

Gwen: "The sun waits for no man! Right, Grandpa? Grandpa?" We looked, seeing that he was gone. GONE.

Ben: "Grandpa?!"

Kayla: "Hold on. Before we REALLY go nuts, maybe he just had to go and take a piss outside. I'll go find him."

Gwen: "Go outside to pee, Kay." Kayla rolled her eyes and walked out to look for him.

Kevin: "No one seems to be that bothered by that, Gwen. Ugh, fine, I'm up then." He got up and yawned, rubbing his back. We then heard Kayla come back in. We saw that her quills or her 'Amy hair' (as Kyle called it, it bothers her) was out. She had to have been running for some time.

Kayla: "I just ran around the entire campsite… and searched all the nearby trees! He isn't here!"

Kevin: "Bullshit."

Kayla: "I know! But he couldn't have gotten that far, right?! Am I going nuts?!" We all looked her in the eyes now.

Ben: "There's no way Grandpa just left us here. Or at least, not on purpose. We need to split up to find him."

Kevin: "On it. I'll see if there's a record of his badge data in the Rust Bucket's memory banks." He ran to the front and began looking through the radar.

Kayla; "And Gwen and I can locate him using manna and his scent! Good plan!"

Ben: "Kevin, will you be fine here on your own?"

Kevin: "For now, sure. I'll catch up with you guys when I find something. I'll XLR8 on over or go Heatblast to rocket off."

Gwen: "Got it." She got herself ready by removing her ID mask. I transformed into Bloodhound, and Kayla transformed into Astrodactyl.

Astrodactyl Kayla: "I'll get a bird's eye view of this place. As high as I can go." She rocketed off in an instant.

Bloodhound Ben: "Stay in contact." Gwen and Kevin nodded. Gwen teleported away, and I began rushing through the forest. I took a scent of him off of the RV before I ran off. We could call Kyle, yeah, but I didn't want to involve him until I knew for sure that we needed him. That's how we always handle it. Kazuma and Vilgax are instant 'this is a Kyle-level threat' situations. Then again, with Kazuma, Kyle may want to call Bella, even if he would rather try to do things without her. As I ran, I was trying to find something, but the scent was showing a clear path. Gwen rendezvoused with me a few minutes later.

Gwen: "You noticed it, too?"

Bloodhound Ben: "Sure did. Come on." We followed the trail as quickly as we could. When we got to a bush, we saw Grandpa walking towards a hole in the ground. What was crazy was that there was a HighBreed there, and he was directing a crowd of elderly people towards the hole.

Gwen: "A HighBreed? I thought they knew that the war was over."

Bloodhound Ben: "I thought the same thing. I'll go in and scope things out. Radio Kayla and Kevin about this." Gwen nodded, pulling up her Plumber's badge. I transformed to Dictator, our HighBreed form. Unlike Kyle's, mine had green eyes, so he may be able to tell that something was off if I wasn't careful. Of course Kyle's had red eyes, and many HighBreed have red eyes, so nothing would be out of the ordinary there, so I had to work with that. I walked towards the HighBreed.

Dictator Ben: "Fellow HighBreed! What is going on here? State your… purpose." The HighBreed froze in shock, then turned around.

HighBreed: "Com-Commander? Have we won the war?" So this guy didn't know for some reason?

Dictator Ben: "It has been over for some time. Tell me what the reason for this is before I report you to the High Council for acting out of turn!" I was hoping this was working, I'm not too used to talking like this.

HighBreed: "Commander. This was the least resort plan to take over and destroy this world for the preservation of the one true race, as spoken by the HighBreed Supreme. Did you forget?"

Dictator Ben: "I did not forget. Now, how long was this here?"

HighBreed: "Many Earth months. Easily. This was going to use the Earth's own radiation against them. There is a plant with nuclear energy not far away from here, and we were going to use our creation to start the extinction of the human race." Well, this was unsettling. I tried to remain in control of my emotions.

Dictator Ben: "Right. That would end the human race. Did you think about Kyle Tennyson and his friends being involved might become an issue, though?"

HIghBreed: "Of course. We have worked undercover to ensure we secured a proper power source to make sure our creation could make it to the plant."

Voice: "What are you doing?!" This surprised me. I turned around to see a green skinned girl with diamond shaped hair and a visor. She seemed to have bionic limbs, her fingers were floating away from her arms yet still moving as if they were a part of her, and she seemed to be wearing a green jumpsuit with a yellow diamond on it.

Green Girl: "I never got any word that another HighBreed would be coming here! What is the meaning of this?!" The HighBreed looked shocked, then angered.

HighBreed: "Sent by the HighBreed Supreme, were you? Commander?!" He then swung at me. I had to block the attack and hit him back. As we began to fight each other, I saw the girl's floating fingers configure themselves into a touch-screen.

Green Girl: "That HighBreed has Codon Energy coming off of it! That's a Tennyson, you clod!" The HighBreed reacted by yelling and charging at me. When he swung at me, I threw him behind me and tried to make him hit the green girl. She spun her fingers around in a helicopter-like fashion, and dodged the HighBreed just in time.

Green Girl: "You're too late, organic scum! The creation we're making will use your planet's own life forces against it to ravage your world! Us Gems will be immune to the radioactive aftermath!" She began cackling madly as I began shooting needles at her. She tried to dodge around them, then got lassoed by a pink energy rope.

Gwen: "Good to know. You still want us dead after your last attempts failed, huh?"

Dictator Ben: "Grandpa Max went down into that hole! Round up that Gem for me!"

Kevin: "As if I'm letting you go down alone." The HighBreed came running back to face us.

HighBreed: "No one will interfere! You will pay for impersonating the high ranking officer!"

Dictator Ben: "I can't believe he fell for it, though." Kayla ran in and kicked the guy in the face. Her quills were extended out in place of her hair.

Kayla: "I'll handle this guy, Benji. You save Max." I nodded.

Dictator Ben: "No problem." I turned into XLR8. Kevin did the same thing as Gwen began to tie up the green chick.

Green Girl: "Let me go, you lumpy clumpy clod!"

Gwen: "Not with that attitude!" She kept struggling against Gwen as Kevin and I ran in.

XLR8 Kevin: "Any idea what we're up against?"

XLR8 Ben: "I would have known if Neon Dorito up there didn't show up when she did! Think there's any other Gems here?"

XLR8 Kevin: "We'll know in a bit!" We rammed into a door after breezing through the corridors as hard as we could, but the door shocked us as soon as we touched it.

XLR8 Kevin: "GAH! What the hell?!"

XLR8 Ben: "That's odd. Hold on." I turned into Ultimate XLR8, and zoomed at the door again, slamming it as hard as I could with a kick barrage. I still got shocked and sent back.

Ultimate XLR8 Ben: "Are you kidding me?! It's like it's deflecting the Codon Energy I'm using!"

XLR8 Kevin: "Well, I guess I could try something." He turned into Upgrade, and tried to merge with the door, only to get shocked himself.

Upgrade Kevin: "OH FUCK THIS!" He turned into Heatblast and began breathing fire at it. The door also did not budge.

Ultimate XLR8 Ben: "Maybe we need to find another way in."

Heatblast Kevin: "Any bright ideas, Tennyson?" I zoomed off, running around the area in multiple places. I found Grandpa walking through with the people in a door, being opened by an orange Gem with red stripes along her arms. She shut the door very quickly.

Ultimate XLR8 Ben: "And THIS is where I should have zoomed in when I had an opening." I went Armodrillo and began digging. Kevin saw me digging.

Armodrillo Ben: "Maybe we can get in from underneath!"

Heatblast Kevin: "I mean… why not?" He followed me through the hole, lighting it up along the way.

Heatblast Kevin: "How deep do we have to go anyway?"

Armodrillo Ben: "Got me, Kev. I'm just digging until it feels right. You also might want to turn that fire off soon. We can't let them know we're peaking in." Kevin sighed, and turned into Ghostfreak.

Ghostfreak Kevin: "This should prove that we can get in from… AGH!"He got the shock again, and this time it was so shocking he reverted to his normal self.

Kevin: "COME ON! Even from underneath?!"

Armodrillo Ben: "Even I gotta admit that that's going a little far. Can I even drain the energy out of the field?"

Kevin: "Well, figure it out and fast. Who knows what they need Max to do!" I turned into Mark 10.

Mark 10 Ben: "Okay. This form isn't from this universe, I think, so it should work out." I pushed my hands up against the field, and began to drain it all from the outside. This form apparently was able to make a hole in the field.

Mark 10 Ben: "Okay, Kevin! Hit it hard while the field has an opening!" Kevin transformed into Fourarms.

Fourarms Kevin: "WILL DO!" He hit it with all four arms at once, and made a big hole in their floor.

Voice; "HOW IN THE STARS DID THEY-" Kevin hopped up and slammed the floor when he landed, shaking up all of the Gems in the room. I hopped in after and began shooting the energy everywhere, knocking several of them back into their Gem forms. A few of them who did not get poofed were converging on us. The orange Gem lead the small group towards us.

Mark 10 Ben: "Here goes."

Orange Gem: "How did you get around the Codon Jammer Shield?"

Mark 10 Ben: "This form isn't from this universe. What are you planning to do with my Grandpa?"

Fourarms Kevin: "That's Max Tennyson you guys ended up kidnapping. My friend here and I are going to lay down some smackdown if you don't give up those people." One of the ones with rainbow dreadlocks walked up to us.

Dreadlocks: "And who's gonna stop us, meatbag? YOU?! Get over yourselves!" The Orange Gem hit her on the head.

Orange Gem: "Isn't it obvious who this is?! They're the Tennysons!"

Fourarms Kevin: "I'm actually Kevin Levin. Haven't any of you heard of me?" They were all confused.

Fourarms Kevin: "Former conman? Gone straight? I fight alongside Kyle and Ben? Nothing?"

Orange Gem: "You were supposed to just be a human."

Mark 10 Ben: "Well, times have changed." I transformed into Halloween, seeing as none of this light was sun-based.

Halloween Ben: "And none of you are going to stop US!" We ran at the Gems. The dreadlocked Gems turned their hands into pickaxes as the Orange Gem summoned a battle helmet and rolled at Kevin. Kevin caught her and threw her aside. He then slammed his hands together, making a large vibration attack that forced her through the wall. We slapped aside many of the dreadlocked ones with our tentacles and big arms.

Halloween Ben: "We won't need Kyle for this! What did that green Gem call us? Clods?"

Fourarms Kevin: "Yeah, whatever that means." He got hit by the orange Gem again.

Orange Gem: "RAGH!"

Dreadlocks 2: "Go Jasper! Show these pebbles what you got!" Kevin turned into Cannonbolt as Jasper unrolled.

Cannonbolt Kevin: "I mean, if this is how you really want to get rolling, I'll go for it!"

Jasper: "An Arburian Pelarota. The perfect test!" They rolled into each other and began bounding along the room. As this was happening, we threw many of the other dreadlocked Gems into walls. The last one was working on the control panel.

Dreadlocks 3: "It's almost done Jasper! We secured the humans!"

Jasper; "Excellent! OOF!" Kevin hit her.

Cannonbolt Kevin: "Securing? For what?"

Jasper: "Wouldn't you like to know? Organics like you are dirt beneath our feet! Earth will fall!"

Halloween Ben: "Not on OUR watch!" We lunged at her as she took pour charge. We threw another punch as she now dodged us and pulled us towards her. We transformed into Emerald as this happened, and I slugged her to the floor.

Emerald: "You're not the only side that has Gem powers, you know."

Jasper: "Of course. You organics always trying to copy superior life forms to try and say you're as good as us! Those Ultimatrixes will mean nothing before the brilliance of our Diamonds!"

Emerald: "And where are they?"

Jasper: "As if they would trouble themselves with irrelevant matters such as this planet! Now quake in fear of the ultimate cross in Gem technology with the organic composition of your soil!" The third dreadlocked Gem hit one last button.

Cannonbolt Kevin: "This can't be good." The whole dome in the area shaked violently. The pods holding Grandpa and the other people were being pulled into the floor as a mass of dirt began to rise from the ground.

Emerald: "GRANDPA!"

Jasper; "Your 'Grandpa' is but one of the power sources for our machine! The HighBreed were going to end your miserable hunk of rock after all!" She punched me away. I summoned my claymore sword and swung it at her. She caught it in her hands and pulled me in to try and hit me when Kevin slammed into her back, and then went Arctiguana to try and seal her down. She forced her way out before I transformed into Starfire and kicked her.

Starfire Ben: "This planet will not be turned into a wasteland you Gems can thrive off of!"

Jasper: "There was a reason we were not in that Codon Stream to begin with, fool! I don't know how you managed to acquire that sample, but it won't matter against the Abomination!" She laughed again as I clobbered her into the ground and began to shoot starbolts at her. The dreadlocked Gem was escaping when Kevin breathed ice on her.

Dreadlocks 3: "AGH!"

Arctiguana Kevin: "We need to warn Kayla and Gwen."

Starfire Ben: "If they do not feel this already, that is! We must… skedaddle? I should know this!"

Arctiguana Kevin: "I should agree with that." He turned back into Cannonbolt as I hurled him through the air and through the building we were in. When we got out, Gwen had completely restrained the green Gem, and Kayla had completely webbed up the HighBreed.

Web Head Kayla: "Just wait here until the Plumbers come and pick you two up. You won't be taking people or our planet any time soon you clods. Damn it, now I'M saying it."

Green Gem: "How could I, Peridot 5XG, be kidnapped by you lowly organic beings?!"

Gwen: "Half-organic. Part of me is an energy being."

HighBreed: "I sense that the Abomination has activated regardless…"

Starfire Ben: "We tried to stop it…" The ground began to shake under us. The ground opened up beneath us as a giant arm came up, covered in leaves and twigs. There was a large roar as it came up.

Web Head Kayla: "Are you nuts?!"

Starfire Ben: "Grandpa was in there, and I couldn't stop him from being sent in!" Kayla turned into Swampfire.

Swampfire Kayla: "I'm going in!" She ran for it, and tried spreading fire around at it as it's face came up, looking like a HighBreed's face, with multiple glowing red eyes. We saw that there was a giant gemstone in its head as well. Metallic tentacles were also growing out of its back. The gemstone and tentacles were glowing yellow.

Swampfire Kayla: "We're going to need something bigger…" She slapped the other Omnitrix on her arm, and grew into a much larger serpentine dragon creature, being colored red at first, then started to grow Swampfire's more plant-oriented coloring over herself. She got thorny teeth over her old sharp ones, and the red and black wings growing out of her were replaced by big leafy wings. Her tail ended in a large branch spiral with a fire lit within it. She roared from her two mouths.

Kayla: "Combining the powers of both Swampfire and Doublejaw, we get SWAMPLEJAW!"

Gwen: "Swamplejaw?"

Swamplejaw: "Yes." She grinned with both of her mouths, and breathed fire on the big guy as he was coming out. The tentacles that it had fired lasers at her as she flew through the air, slinking around every blast going for her. Kevin hopped into the air and then turned into Heatblast to begin shooting fire at it. It swatted at Kevin as he tried to keep the burning going on.

Gwen: "What even is that?"

Peridot 5XG: "You're too late, clod! When the Abomination activates, the world will be destroyed! NYAHAHAHAAA!" The HighBreed looked very annoyed as he was still tied up.

HighBreed: "Will you shut up?!" Gwen looked back at them.

Gwen: "The Abomination, huh?"

Peridot 5XG: "Yes. Combining technology foreign to your inferior organic race, we created the ultimate merging of technology and organics, which will destroy your world!" She began laughing and spasming out.

Starfire Ben: "I'm going in." I used my manna to materialize Diamondhead's blades over my hands, and I began using the diamonds to amplify my starbolt powers to hit the abomination with enhanced starbolts. Its exterior plant cover was burning as Kayla was spewing fireballs from her second mouth at the Abomination. It smacked her before Kayla could dodge again. Kevin launched himself onto its hide, and shapeshifted his hands into blades that he also lit on fire. He began trying to cut it up. This got him nowhere as he was thrown off. Gwen made a manna platform to catch him.

Gwen: "METEOR!" Gwen summoned a meteor in the sky, and dropped it towards the abomination, making an explosion that forced it to its knees. It turned its head towards Gwen, and shot a big laser at her by opening up a mouth that it suddenly obtained. Gwen tried to shield herself. I transformed into Jetray, then zoomed by and ripped her out of the way of the blast.

Gwen: "Thanks Ben."

Jetray Ben: "No problem." Kayla began breathing lightning into it again, and the abomination swung her away. Kevin transformed into Way Big in an attempt to knock it down or back. They pushed against each other before the abomination picked Kevin up.

Way Big Kevin: "WHOA, HEY! PUT ME DOWN!" Kevin was tossed away as I flew in, raining eye beams on its face. I transformed above it, and landed next to it as a blue titanic being. I spread out some giant wings, had blue spiked shoulder pads, and clenched my clawed fists. My eyes glowed green with fury, and swung hard, blowing my fist through it. A blue gem on my head glowed brightly as I fired a beam through its head, making a huge hole in its gut. It roared in pain. I bared my teeth, and howled angrily again. My head was pointed, with several bladed horns coming out of it. My feet had claws extended on them, too.

Ben: "Give me my Grandpa. Now." The abomination actually began to grow back the damage I put in, and this was the most damage we managed to give it so far. I roared again, and swung, shooting a large beam from my hand at it now, knocking its arm off. Kevin and I punched it together, blowing two separate holes in it.

Way Big Kevin: "WOW, TENNYSON! WHO'S THIS GUY?!"

Ben: "I don't know. How about… Titanolisk?"

Way Big Kevin: "I MEAN… I GUESS?" That was all I got. I looked at the abomination, which was already regenerating. It clotheslined both Kevin and I after this. We clobbered it again, and Kayla flew in, bombarding it with fireballs, and then firing another lightning beam attack at it, making even more damage.

Gwen: "TERRAFORMA… REANIMA… THUNDAZA!" Some clouds formed over the abomination, and vines wrapped around the legs of it. The clouds dropped some very bright purple lightning bolts, making it shake. Kevin brought up his arms, firing his cosmic ray attack, I punched it out again, and Kayla breathed another lightning blast at it. The explosions seemed to shake up the entire area.

Swamplejaw: "Did we do it?"

Gwen: "I couldn't say. I just know I hit it with as much power as I could."

Titanolisk: "We slammed it with lightning, fire, lasers, and punches. I think it's…" It glowed again.

Way Big Kevin: "YOU WERE SAYING?!"

Titanolisk: "How was I supposed to, AGH!" I dodged a laser shot it made as it ran at me. I caught it before it could push me farther. Gwen shot some manna at its arms, trying to pull it back.

Gwen: "COME ON…" It turned its head towards Gwen and blasted at her. Kevin caught her, and Kayla knocked it off of me and wrapped herself all the way around it, and unleashed one more lightning breath blast point blank into its face. It hurled her off and into me, knocking us down. It then brought both of its arms back and blasted at all of us. We were shot into the ground and pushed several miles away from it as it continued its path.

Ben: "Oww…" And it reverted us to our normal states.

Gwen: "So much for the direct approach."

Kevin: "We need to get inside of it somehow."

Kayla: "I agree. We need to get Ali and Kyle in on this shit, too. Let's go!" I called up Kyle immediately. The Ultimatrix began to ring.

Kyle's POV…

As we were working out in the gravity room, Ultima rang.

Ultima: "Ben's calling. It seems to be urgent."

Kyle: "Put it on speaker." Ultima did this, and we heard Ben talking,

Ben: "Kyle, we need your help. A HighBreed is still evil."

Kyle: "Wait… just a rogue HighBreed? That can't be-"

Kevin: "He had Gems working with him." Both of us stopped, and Ali dropped her weights on the ground, making a loud bang.

Ali: "A rogue HighBreed and some Gems?! What the fuck?"

Ben: "They got Grandpa." That also got my attention.

Kyle: "But… how?! Max wouldn't be that-"

Kayla: "They got him overnight. I didn't find him until he was almost there, and we fought our way to try and take him back, only to have found out their plan was under way!"

Ali: "What did they need Mr. Tennyson for anyway?"

Gwen: "A giant monster. They're going to use it to set off the nuclear plant and wipe out the planet's population. To remove everything organic from the planet, and to make it hospitable for the HighBreed."

Kyle: "That doesn't sound like what Bella said they did. Ali and I will be there shortly." I transformed into Teleportal, and made my way there. When we got there, we saw a large being covered in plant life and Gem mechanics. That was DEFINITIVELY Gem tech.

Ultima: "This isn't good."

Ali: "I'll say." Everyone else ran or flew to us.

Gwen: "Kyle! Ali! You both made it!"

Teleportal: "This guy wants big… I'll give him big." I transformed to EgyptPhoenix, roaring as loudly as I could, and flew at the thing, shooting off one of my Blaze Cannons. The fireball slammed right into it's head. It stumbled as this happened and turned around.

EgyptPhoenix: "You felt that right, asshole! COME ON!" I lit myself completely on fire, entering my Phoenix Mode, and rammed into it, forcing it into the ground. I heard Ben and Kayla transforming behind me, and saw Doublejaw Kayla and Ben as what looked like Obelisk the Tormentor.

EgyptPhoenix: "Good to see this happen!"

Doublejaw: "I'll say! I didn't even know Obelisk was a thing!"

Ben: "Titanolisk, actually."

EgyptPhoenix: "Named him yourself?" Ben nodded. He brought his fist back, and swung at the construct. It caught his hand as I breathed fire on it so it would free Ben. Kayla wrapped herself entirely around it and breathed lightning into its face. It grabbed Kayla and tried to squeeze her. Kayla just constricted herself even harder. I grabbed onto its head and made my fires more intense, trying to set every plant on it up. It was not catching fire, and was actively squeezing Kayla even harder. Ben rushed at it, and gave it a hard left hook into the face. Kayla and I released it, both breathing fire and lightning into it. It forced it back, and gave us a glare before rushing at us. Kayla and I got onto Ben's shoulders.

Titanolisk: "Wait, what?!"

EgyptPhoenix: "Ben, channel your energy out with us at the same time!" Kayla wrapped her body around Ben's now.

Doublejaw: "You better believe we can do that!"

Titanolisk: "What is this attack called?"

EgyptPhoenix: "Just follow our lead! NOW…" Kayla and I opened our mouths to charge a new lightning/fire orb respectively. Ben pulled his arms to his waist, and generated purple energy balls, growling as he did so. When it got close to us, and was about to swipe at us, we declared the attack.

EgyptPhoenix, Doublejaw, and Titanolisk: "TITAN FIRESTORM!" We hit it with four very strong energy blasts all at once, blasting it back, and actually making a hole in it. Gwen and Ali were flying behind us, and Kevin was in his Stinkfly state behind them.

Stinkfly Kevin: "There's our way in! Come on guys!" Gwen rocketed herself forward quickly, and Ali began using her Ember Celica to increase her flight speed to get in. Kevin turned into Heatblast as he flew to get a much more powerful rocket-style burst of speed.

EgyptPhoenix: "Hey, no reason for us to ignore this too, right?" Both Kayla and Ben nodded. We each turned into Astrodactyl and zoomed as fast as we could through the air towards the hole, and it began to close. Besides, if we were going to save Max, we would need to get in. Ben grabbed Kevin on the way in, I got Ali, and Kayla grabbed up Gwen. We all narrowly got in on time.

Gwen: "Nice work, everyone!"

Ali: "Yeah, Ben, Kayla, and Kyle you mean." She shrugged.

Ali: "I may have done nothing outside, but I'll at least be able to tear shit up in here. Let's save Mr. Tennyson."

Gwen: "Okay, before everyone literally goes on a mass destruction spree, we should at least find out the best path to get to where Grandpa is. Use some common sense people!" I nodded.

Astrodactyl: "Agreed. For now. Come on, guys!" I turned into Sorceressa, too.

Sorceressa: "If you don't mind me helping."

Gwen: "Why not?" She smirked. I nodded. Ben also went Sorceressa

Sorceressa Ben: "Here goes something." He shrugged.

Gwen: "Just like the old days. Us three. I miss them."

Ali: "Hey, I was there. Eventually…"

Sorceressa: "Ali, please?" She of course let us do our thing.

Gwen and both Sorceressas: "Ostendo… Specialis!" The triple casting of the spell by three cooperating Anodites seemed to make it even better than before. The spell gave us a map of the inner workings of the creature we were now inside of.

Sorceressa: "Whoa."

Sorceressa Ben: "D-dang! That's great!" Gwen chuckled.

Gwen: "So you two are paying attention. Nice work."

Astrodactyl Kayla: "I pay attention, too, you know. SQUAWK!"

Heatblast Kevin: "Speaking of paying attention…" He shot fire in the direction of the walls, and we saw headless HighBreeds coming at us. They had cords coming out of them that were tied to the walls. Kayla turned into XLR8, and slashed at them, cutting holes in them, and Gwen, Ben, and I shot manna blasts at them all, shredding them apart. The remains began to reanimate, and when they did, they obtained other technological parts.

XLR8 Kayla, both Sorceressas, and Ali: "Not this again!"

Sorceressa Ben: "Oh man!" He summoned out some Ronin blades, and rushed again, severing the cords, only to get smacked by another one from behind him. Ali began tossing fireballs from her Ember Celica. She saved Ben from being mobbed as I turned into Diamondhead.

Ultima: "So, we're just going to cut through them with no regard for anything else?"

Diamondhead: "For now! Come on, everyone!" I spread my diamond shards around in varying areas, and Kayla turned into Permafrost, spreading out ice by sneezing it. Rather on purpose. Ben turned into Fasttrack while still using the Ronin blades, and charged them with lightning, still slicing through the crowds. Ali stomped on the ground, spreading some of her hair growths through the ground, and sprouting spikes out of the ground, impaling everything coming our way.

Gwen: "Hopefully none of those had any captives!"

Heatblast Kevin: "Like this thing would risk it's power source like that."

Fasttrack Ben: "There's a few things powering this thing to be honest with you. Gwen and I sensed them coming."

Gwen: "True…"

Ali: "What did you guys sense?"

Permafrost Kayla: "Don't leave us hanging over here!"

Diamondhead: "We sensed Max in the uppermost part of this thing."

Ultima: "Probably why you wanted to rush, eh?"

Fasttrack Ben: "Exactly!" He sped off. Kevin, Ali, and Kayla looked like they didn't know what they should do as Gwen, Ben, and I moved ahead.

Ali: "Those three have been with him the longest after all." As they talked, I transformed into Red-Tail, spinning a bo staff around, knocking the constructs the creature made away. Gwen made a manna sword and cut a cord behind one of them, making it sink into the floor uselessly.

Heatblast Kevin: "You should know how they feel, Kay. I mean, you have a few of Kyle's memories, right?"

Permafrost Kayla: "I remember it, yeah. Max means a lot to those three."

Ali: "Figured as much. Before Team Dark came back, Kyle pretty much relied on Mr. Tennyson for all of his advice. I don't know if he ever talked to Kyle about Gwen, and maybe he did, but… that never mattered. What matters is what Max means to those three. It's what they can agree on."

Permafrost Kayla: "Kinda thinking maybe I should care a bit more about him, too. I feel more detached from Max because I just have memories of interacting with him, and a few from my- er, Kyle's, impressions of the TV show where he came from. He's always held Max in some form of high regard, and we should see this through."

Heatblast Kevin: "As if there was any doubt, right?" He smirked to them. I witnessed that, and smiled to them.

Ali: "Come on, people. We can't let the Tennysons have all the fun!" Kayla turned into Draculust, noticing there wasn't any natural light in here, and Kevin turned into Wildvine.

Wildvine Kevin: "Move aside, everyone! Levins and Kayla coming through!" They sped towards us. Ali turned her hands into big double-bladed axe hands, and cleaved through the minions that the creature was making come at us. Kevin threw seed pods around, making explosions happen everywhere around us. Gwen had to bat one away from her, and Kayla summoned some shadow clones to fight back by punching the minions away.

Draculust Kayla: "Back off!" She hopped through the air and elbow-dropped through one of them. We made a path once Ali and I both used our shotgun gauntlets to blow some final minions away.

Red-Tail: "They're going to need much bigger guns!"

Ali: "Hopefully you didn't give it any ideas."

Red-Tail: "Like Sandvich?"

Ali: "Kyle!" I shrugged.

Gwen: "I think we should be focusing on trying to move ahead and taking out the main source, but hey, we seem to be fighting mobs and mobs of enemies for some time, so… hey. What would I know?" I nodded.

Fasttrack Ben: "We don't have time to waste, and Grandpa is still in here. We can't waste any more time. Besides, Kyle, Gwen, and I know the path." He then transformed into Ultimate Fasttrack, and zoomed ahead, immediately cutting through more of the minions the creature created. Gwen got serious, too, allowing fire energy to gather around her hands as she flew forward. I took a deep breath in, and went Firecracker.

Firecracker: "Right behind you, Ben!" I slammed my gauntlets together and rushed ahead. I saw Ali, Kevin, and Kayla trailing us from behind. As we continued to slaughter these creatures within the… creature, I began to wonder if I had come camping with Max, would this still have happened? Would I have found out about Ali's alteration if Ultima and Bella hadn't found that time to tell me? I still have a lot to think about, and maybe, even with the fact Max has been taken, this all must be making me reflective instead of just all out crazy. Ben and Gwen seemed to be way more bothered. As I decked one into the floor, and blew a hole in it, taking out both the cord and the main body, I resolved that Ali had to know… SOMETHING about it.

Ultima (in Kyle's head): "Don't make her know yet. We don't even know if she knows and if it's making her-" I glared at my Ultimatrix symbol on my chest.

Firecracker (thinking): "Not. Now. I love her. She has to be told something if she doesn't know. I don't want her to think we've been snooping in something we, or heaven forbid, SHE isn't aware of, and we left her in the dark."

Ultima (in Kyle's head): "I will add that the DNA seems artificially added." I continued to fight monsters as we spoke. Kevin skewered another one as Diamondhead, and Kayla turned into Scorponok, clamping two of them apart, and stabbing another with her tail.

Firecracker (thinking): "And?"

Ultima (in Kyle's head): "Please don't be rash about this. You have a tendency to be."

Firecracker (thinking): "I know!" I kicked one through a wall as I thought this.

Ali: "Kyle? You seem distracted." She looked concerned for me. I shook my head.

Firecracker: "Ali, I'm okay." I slammed my hand into a creature that was behind me, blowing a massive hole in it, and eviscerating the cord in it. Ali looked closer at me.

Ali: "I felt some odd auras coming from you and Ultima. You were having an internal conversation that was really bothering you." My look quickly changed.

Ali: "You want to know the reason I know? It's because you have a glass face. The literal opposite of a poker face. You aren't always as slick as you think you are. I don't want to force things out of you, but if I think something is really wrong, I want to know." She dodged a venom dart that Kayla threw, which hit a minion and shriveled it up.

Scorponok Kayla: "Get romantic later, guys!" She ran past us.

Ali: "Did you hear anything from her about me?"

Firecracker: "We… talked. We found out something different about you that we did not initially see. We don't know what's up exactly." I put my hands in my pockets and took a deep breath.

Ali: "Do you feel okay telling me yet?"

Firecracker: "I'm getting trapped between a rock and a hard place right now."

Ultima: "Bella and I found something off."

Ali: "And what did you find?"

Ultima: "I will keep quiet if Kyle insists."

Firecracker: "It's nothing life-threatening, but it is something that worries me considerably. The revelation was big, and I was told to keep it secret." Ali nodded.

Ali: "You can't talk about it yet?"

Firecracker: "I want to sort out how I feel about it first. It's something I don't have a lot of info about right now, I'm sorry."

Ali: "Tell me later, then. We need to clear this up right now. If we don't stop this thing, we won't live to deal with this like we should." She smooched me, then shot a minion trying to ambush us as we were kissing.

Firecracker: "Wow." I smiled.

Ali: "I tried to make myself look cool." She reloaded her Ember Celica like I did. We kept rushing through the army on the inside. We managed to catch up with the others in the main room.

Ben's POV…

What I saw was a bunch of older people tied up to this thing as well as a big mass of gemstones mashed together into a conglomerate of gem shards. Wires went into both the gemstone mass and the older people. One of them was Grandpa!

Ultimate Fasttrack Ben: "Don't worry Grandpa! We're coming!" I zoomed over and made manna drills to try and free him first. A force field came up to protect him. It shocked me and forced me back. Kayla transformed into Snare-Oh and wrapped me up as I flew backwards to catch me.

Snare-Oh Kayla: "Gotcha, Benji."

Ultimate Fasttrack Ben: "Thanks, Kayla."

Kevin: "Okay then. I think if we can't smash this thing open, we gotta find a new way in. I'll examine it." He transformed into Upgrade and tried to merge himself with it. It shocked him off.

Upgrade Kevin: "OW! Okay! That's it!" He turned into Frankenstrike and started to charge up a surge when Gwen stopped him.

Frankesntrike Kevin: "Gwen!"

Gwen: "We can't just do this with muscle. You already said so!" We heard the creature stop. It was clashing with someone outside. Kyle's communicator went off.

Firecracker: "Sensei?"

Way Big Bella: "I GOT THIS GUY, KYLE! YOU'LL NEED TO STOP HIM FROM IN THERE, BUT I'LL BUY YOU AS MUCH TIME AS I CAN! DON'T WORRY ABOUT THE HIGHBREED AND THE PERIDOT. I LEFT ANOTHER ME WITH THEM!" Gotta love how he can always count on her.

Firecracker: "Thanks." He turned his gaze to the machine and raised up his arms. They lit ablaze with blue fire swirling with his normal fire. He then clashed his fists together, running at the machine.

Firecracker: "MATATABI! NOW!" He got covered in a blazing blue feline shaped aura, growing two tails out of it as well. It's not often that Kyle does that. He began punching at the machine as it shielded itself.

Firecracker Blue Inferno Mode: "SEMBLANCE POWER! BURNING CHAKRA SLAM!" As he slammed it down, it attacked him back. The gemstone inside sprouted out some arms and threw him against the walls of the holding area. More of the creatures that attacked us when we got in came back, and the arms that sprouted out began to reach for the creatures, sending energy into them.

Ali: "Oh shit." The energy surge made them sprout gemstone fragments as well as more grotesque features like creepy faces and melted looking legs and arms. Ali retaliated by trying to shoot them all down.

Gwen: "A sentient power core?!"

Frankenstrike Kevin: "Of course. Why not?!" I got more angry about this as I saw it happen. This was already too much. I transformed into Tora, and used my manna to make Emerald's blades out of it. I powered up and flew for the creatures. They swiped and clawed at me, but also got immediately cut up. Kyle got up, breathing a torrent of blue flames from his mouth at them. Gwen began tossing a bunch of metal rods with chains attached to them outwards.

Gwen: "We need to save Grandpa! If we can get these people out, it might weaken it!"

Snare-Oh Kayla: "I sure hope so!" She leapt above the crowd and started trying to lasso her away above and around the army the core was making. Kyle slammed the ground hard to stop the army from advancing. He transformed into Garchomp, increasing his size, but preserving the blue fiery aura with his form. He roared again, breathing more fire and stampeded forward.

Garchomp Blue Inferno Mode: "Don't worry Max! We'll get you out of this!" He kept going through them until enough of them grabbed his leg and tripped him. Gwen and Ali took to the skies. Ali began to shoot with machine guns she sprouted out, and she punched the air, releasing one of her big fists that punched a bunch of them off of Kyle, who roared again, and swung his tail to knock more of them aside. Kayla then landed on the machine and turned into Feedback.

Feedback Kayla: "And you're not going to have all this power for much longer!" She grabbed the machine itself even though it sprouted more arms to grab her. I noticed this, and breathed out a ki blast from my mouth to deter them from hitting her. I flew near her and cut the limbs off of the core.

Tora Ben: "Don't even think about it!"

Feedback Kayla: "Thanks, Ben." She kept attempting to weaken the core by draining it.

Feedback Kayla: "Maybe I can weaken it for a bit! COME ON!" She focused harder on it. There was no way she could do this with so many things threatening to come and interrupt her. At least one of us had to protect her.

Gwen: "KEMO CHAR!" She shot a heat beam that was blasting the zombified creatures away, and Kevin turned into Diamondhead to begin slamming the ground and spreading his diamonds across the floor to impale the creatures. He also became Cannonbolt and was rolling through the crowd of them. Gwen flew down and began tossing multiple manna orbs, then threw a flying kick through one. Kyle transformed into Blitzwolfer, and began unleashing his sonic howls to knock multiple swaths of them back at once. I pulled my hands back.

Tora Ben: "GALICK GUN… FIRE!" I fired a hole through many of them, even making a hole to the outside through the walls. Kayla was still sapping power out to try and weaken the core. The movements of the entire creature seemed to become more sluggish, but this was becoming crazier.

Blitzwolfer Blue Inferno Mode: "Good work, Kay! Maybe now we can…" He suddenly froze.

Blitzwolfer Blue Inferno Mode: "KAYLA! BEN! DUCK!" We both listened to him as the core itself grew legs, and became mobile, getting a rather crude jack-o-lantern styled face to it.

Core: "GEEEETTTT… OUUUUTTT!" It swung at Kayla and I. This action also seemed to make the older people and Grandpa react more. Like it was draining more energy from them. The HighBreed and Gems really did mean to use people as power sources for their last resort weapon! This was starting to really get under my skin! Draining Grandpa and a bunch of innocent people for their energy. One evil race taking on the last member of a dead faction that fought us, just to destroy our civilization… to colonize our world! And we haven't been able to do anything about it until Kyle and Ali came to help! This helplessness was a feeling I wanted to stop having!

Tora Ben: "I have had enough of this!" I felt something in me snap. Grandpa is in danger, and I need the power to do it! I screamed, and my power rose. The others were shielding themselves, and Kevin had to grab the ground while Gwen shielded both herself and Kevin. Ali sprouted multiple demon arms to trap herself. I began growling angrily after the screaming.

Blitzwolfer Blue Inferno Mode: "Whoa! You did it!" I looked to Kyle, confused.

Tora Ben: "What do you mean?"

Ultima: "You're a Super Saiyan, Ben!" I blinked. I looked at myself, seeing the golden aura waving around.

Feedback Kayla: "No… way…" She grinned widely. I must have that form now.

SSJ Tora Ben: "About time. Kyle kept upgrading his forms really fast. I needed a taste of it!" I used my manna, which was now golden instead of pink, to generate Armor Drillers to slam the ground and channel my ki and manna out to scatter the minions all around. Kayla went back to draining power from the core. Kyle transformed to Bardock, and then stacked Super Saiyan on top of his Matatabi powers.

Firecat SSJ Bardock: "Can't let Ben have ALL the fun!" Kevin got back to rolling through the crowds to scatter every minion there. Ali began tossing spears through all of them, pinning several to the ceiling. I leaped at the core, and clobbered it. It retaliated by smacking me aside. Kyle tossed a ki blast through the core to knock its power down even more. He made another path by shooting and spreading the fire he was generating to get to the core to help me. The core rushed at Kyle and hit him. I flew up and hit it. I began to beat on it as Kyle flew back up, and we kept attacking it together. The core swung its arms around wildly trying to hit both Kyle and I. I ducked under one to slam it in the center. It lost it's footing and toppled over. It breathed energy at us that we had to block momentarily before both zooming into it and kicking it back. The core roared at us.

SSJ Tora Ben: "MASENKO! HAAA!" I fired another blast into the core, and then Kyle charged a dark blue fireball, then hurled it at the core as well.

Firecat SSJ Bardock: "FINAL… SPIRIT… CANNON!" It made an impact on the core. Once it got up to fight again, we noticed that it was sparking up. Kayla smirked.

SSJ Tora Ben: "Kayla, your energy drain finally made an impact! It's weakening!" Kayla disconnected herself from the machine, then exploded with more energy, combining Echo Echo's features into her Feedback body, sprouting different pink openings along her body, changing her mouth into Echo Echo's mouth, changing her feet, and sprouting a backpack with wires which ended in speakers.

Kayla: "SoundFeed! Time to send this stupid piece of rock back to it's homeworld!" She screamed and shot electricity and the core, disrupting and generating shockwaves, blasting us and making it short circuit. It shot one more blast at us as we scattered and retaliated again. Kyle shot some fire at it from his mouth as I repeatedly clobbered it and prepared to cut it with a diamond blade from my manna. It got cut in half, and Kayla shot some lightning to force both halves of the core back. Gwen began to shield herself, Kevin, and Ali as the structure on the outside began to fall apart.

Gwen: "Why do you guys always destroy the thing BEFORE we rescue the people?!" We sighed.

SoundFeed: "Oops…" I flew over to the machine alongside Kyle, and the two of us got Grandpa and the other old people out. He was sighing.

Max: "Last thing I remember was-" He froze upon seeing us. Ali was gathering two of them, and Kevin went XLR8 to take one as Kyle took the last one.

Gwen: "Contigo!" She made a shield above us as we were rushing ahead. Kayla was using sound bursts to push aside some of the deceased minions on the way down.

XLR8 Kevin: "Careful everyone! This place is going to fall apart!"

Old guy: "I'm about to have a heart attack…"

Old guy 2: "Not yet! I'll get one if you do!" The rest of us sighed.

Ali: "We're going to need to go faster!"

Firecat SSJ Bardock: "You think I would know what to-" He froze.

Ultima: "Just now realized it, did you?"

SSJ Tora Ben: "What did you realize?"

Firecat SSJ Bardock: "Everyone! Get close!" Everyone followed his order as he concentrated.

Gwen: "What's the plan, Kyle?" One of them had a realization.

Old Guy 3: "THAT Kyle Tennyson?! I'd rather get squashed." Kyle sighed.

Firecat SSJ Bardock: "You don't have a choice in the matter, fartface. Anyway… CHAOS… CONTROL!" He teleported us out, and we found ourselves in the forest. When we looked up, we saw that we were right up against the nuclear plant, and that Bella was wiping the sweat off of her forehead. She turned back to normal and zoomed next to us instantaneously.

Bella: "Not bad today, everyone. And Ben! Is that a Super Saiyan form?!"

SSJ Tora Ben: "Yep. Sure is." I smiled, and gave her a thumbs up.

Max: "It's good to see everyone's okay."

Old Guy 3: "Not me! I got saved by a menace!"

Max: "A menace?! I raised him myself, just so you know! I would say that he and Ben both became two of the greatest people this universe has ever seen!"

Old Guy 4: "Let's just be grateful that we all made it out of here alive, fartface." He smirked. Kyle laughed.

Firecat SSJ Bardock: "Preach it, man!" He and the old guy shared a brief high five, surprising the third guy.

Old Guy 2: "Does this mean we can all go home?"

Bella: "Not just yet. We still need to address the Gem I caught as well as the HighBreed. I called Reiny over."

XLR8 Kevin: "That one HighBreed that Kyle became friends with?"

Bella: "True as can be, Kevin. Come on, everyone. We should clean up our mess, too, while we're at it."

Ali: "Cleanup?!"

Firecat SSJ Bardock: "Hey, we've had to do this before, babe. Come on, let's get to it." He flew over. We all shook our heads about this.

Max: "That's how you know we did well with him."

Old Guy 3: "Before, you said you!"

Gwen: "You're making me want to forget about how we treat our elders." She glared at the guy.

SSJ Tora Ben: "Let's forget about him, Gwen. We got a lot to do." We made our way to the wreckage of the 'Abomination', and cleaned up the stuff so it wouldn't interfere with the nearby nuclear plant.

Later…

Kyle's POV…

We ensured that the other people properly returned home, even the dude who hated me, though I thought about going Rath just to give him a piece of my mind. The others talked me out of it, though Kevin wanted the potential show. The rest of us walked up. As Bella mentioned, Reiny was there for us.

Reiny: "Kyle-Kyle Tennyson!" He waved to me. I waved back as I ran over. We traded bro-fists, and turned to look at our two captives.

Reiny: "I heard that one of our last remaining soldiers was still cooperating with the Diamond Authority. I must apologize that we have again caused you so much trouble."

Kyle: "You didn't know they were here. I mean, if you knew, you would have warned us immediately, correct?"

Bella: "I had Reiny here promise to look into the records to make sure no other crazy weapons like that are still left on Earth. I will aid them in finding these last resort extinction weapons."

Reiny: "Now…" He looked to his HighBreed compatriot. He asked, "You were not aware of the change in leadership on our planet, correct?"

HighBreed: "That is true, Supreme Commander. I was in stasis for a long time. The message that the war was over did not reach my pod. The Gems found me and took advantage of my ignorance. If at all possible, I will join the forces to decommission the extinction weapons."

Peridot 5XG: "NO! You can't do that! We had a deal!"

Reiny: "The deal is off. Clod." This caused Ben, Gwen, Kevin, Kayla, and Bella to all start laughing. Ali and I were a little confused.

Kyle: "Clod?"

Ben: "She wouldn't stop calling us that."

Peridot 5XG: "You pebbles are all beneath us! We will rule your world!" Bella levitated the leftover core.

Bella: "Mind explaining this?" She was baffled.

Peridot 5XG: "You dislodged the core?! How? It was supposed to be immovable, from both the inside and the outside! We put all of our best warriors and strongest rebels into that thing!" This made Bella get angry.

Bella: "Still up to your old tricks?! You don't even have any personal investment on Earth in this universe!"

Peridot 5XG: "We found a way to travel interdimensionally, much like you! You traitorous-" Bella planted her foot into her mouth and slammed her to the ground.

Bella: "You think I'm going to let you do to Kyle's Earth here what you did to many others?! YOUR REIGN OF TERROR WILL END HERE!" She raised her Oblivion Keyblade above her before Ultima gave me one of Blamurai's blades, and I intercepted the attack. Ben also used a Blmaurai blade through his manna, and we caught her sword.

Bella: "I'm going to get information out of her myself!"

Kyle: "We can't get it if you poof her!"

Ben: "Ergh… yeah! Easy on her. At least for now."

Gwen: "Sensei, think for a moment. I know you don't like us sassing you, but even you need to admit that this is-"

Bella: "I don't want to give these idiots any more give. I was merciful with them already. Then they became too powerful for just me to stop. My superiors are always giving me flack, and you guys are my last chance to do something good for the multiverse!"

Ali: "But she'll have information on how they're traveling to different universes. We need to use this opportunity."

Kevin: "Shouldn't be too hard if we investigate those bionic limbs she has on her. I can source it down to make it easier to track makes and models."

Ultima: "Bella! Please."

Kayla: "If we poof her, or worse, shatter her, we won't get any info out of her."

Peridot 5XG: "Exactly! And besides, I know even more about our plans here! The Abomination was only our Plan A, clod!" She began to laugh. Ultima sprouted a Spidermonkey tail out of my rear to web her mouth shut. She began mumbling through the web.

Kyle: "Thanks…"

Ultima: "That bothered me, too."

Reiny: "That's new."

Kyle: "I've changed a tiny bit since you last saw me, man. I'm willing to talk more about it over a Mountain Dew Code Red." I smirked.

Reiny: "Is that a carbonated beverage?" I nodded. I undid the chains on the other HighBreed.

Kyle: "You're going to go with Reiny to figure things out. I'll help out, too, of course."

Ultima: "We'll have a lot to talk about!"

Ali: "Speaking of things to talk about…" She crossed her arms and looked at me. I nodded. Bella then glared at me.

Bella (in Kyle's head): "Does she know everything?"

Kyle (thinking): "No, she doesn't. Please don't kill me!" I could feel myself bowing internally. I didn't want to randomly do it physically in front of Reiny. I don't usually do that kind of thing. I also didn't want to make it weirder.

Ali: "I'll be coming with you guys." She walked up to us.

Reiny: "All help is welcome. Thank you." The other HIghBreed nodded as we went off.

Max: "Thanks again, Kyle!" I nodded, and gave him a thumbs up. I genuinely trust him as an inspiration for myself sometimes. He still means a lot to me, even if I'm trying to get to know my real dad, Shadow, better. We left to look for the doomsday weapons that could be scattered around the planet.

Later…

Ali and I made it back to the base. Bella and Kayla were sitting in the living room with a still tied-up Peridot.

Bella: "Don't worry. We'll keep an eye on her."

Kayla: "She hasn't tried to teleport out for some reason."

Peridot 5XG: "You'll never get our plans out of me, you clods!"

Ali: "Ugh…"

Kyle: "You're telling me. My only roommates are female."

Ultima: "I think you should rethink your statement…" I looked around, getting many annoyed looks. Only Peridot was still being herself, squirming and hollering in her restraints. It was both annoying and amusing.

Kyle: "Um…" I turned into Starfire.

Starfire: "It is not like I don't understand things about how females are!"

Ultima: "Wow." She changed me back.

Kyle: "Betrayed by my own watch. For once…"

Ultima: "Anyway, Ali, you were going to talk to Kyle alone?"

Ali: "Yeah. We were. Come on." She took me to our room and sat me down on our bed, leaving Bella and Kayla to deal with Peridot. Ultima beamed herself out of the watch in a tank top and jeans, then walked out.

Ultima: "I'll let you two talk…" She shut the door on the way out.

Ali: "What did you guys find out about me?"

Kyle: "Okay. Ultima's been acting weird around you because of some readings she got off of you. Your DNA is odd."

Ali: "You mean after that explosion that nuked us and mutated everyone? Yeah. All of us are way different than how we used to be. That's obvious, Tennyson."

Kyle: "Ali… you're not only EXTREMELY similar to Kevin, you have my Ultimate Life Form gene in you." Ali's eyes widened.

Kyle: "It's probably why Ultima's been worried. Maybe she's detected it this whole time, but never knew how to quantify it, or because she has sentience now and that makes her able to communicate her problems to me without me asking her right out… I-"

Ali: "She thinks I'm a threat because I have something I'm not supposed to have. This… changes… a lot about what I thought I am. I'm not JUST a prodigy Osmosian then. I'm…"

Kyle: "The only people who should have that are me, and Kayla because she was cloned directly from me. And yet, I'm okay with it."

Ali: "You are?" I embraced her.

Kyle: "You're my girl, god damn it. I will fucking DIE for you if I have to. I don't care about how you got it."

Ali: "I do!" I looked at her. She had shoved me forward so I could look at her face.

Ali: "What if something really went wrong?! Is my life somehow a lie? Was I some failed experi-" I glared at her.

Kyle: "Ali. I don't need to know why right now. Yes, it spooked me. But what concerned me more was how you would react. Bella and Ultima would have rather had it so I didn't tell you. I just felt it was stupid to not tell you, especially since it looked like I was hiding something. I tried to hide my unease to not make you feel bad and you really don't deserve that. I-" She glared at me back, and put her hand on my mouth. I focused on her face. She had some tears, but was at least smiling.

Ali: "Kyle… you really do try your hardest to think of others, and that is one of your greatest strengths. I also know you don't want to make Bella and Ultima angry with you. If you do have a weakness, it's that you don't always know how to make everyone happy, and you fail to see that that is not always possible. You always go for the best way to help everyone if you can. It's one of the reasons I love you."

Kyle: "Ali?" I admit, I didn't know if I was having issues with identifying what was going on, but I really wanted to help her still. I want her to know that whatever happened, I am by her side! I always am! There is no reason I would never be!

Ali: "You're a good guy, Kyle. You can see past whatever bullshit is going on and still love me. But this REALLY worries me. I need to know why I have this gene when I shouldn't. I need to find out what's going on with myself now. What kind of life did my mother have before having me?"

Kyle: "At worst, you and Kevin are half-siblings."

Ali: "Looking to the bright side… but there could be WAY MORE WORSE answers. Do I want to know? Yes. Should we go looking now? I want to…"

Kyle: "But?"

Ali: "It's something I feel I should do alone."

Kyle: "Alone?! This could lead to a big multidimensional threat! I don't know how that would even-"

Ali: "If I need your help, I will tell you, of course. I know it isn't your fault, and you didn't know until today."

Kyle: "Yeah. Look, I don't want you to feel alienated or anything. You're still my girl, and you will always mean a lot to me, no matter what you turn out to be."

Ali: "You mean a lot to me, too. Now we have something else that matches."

Kyle: "I'll try to see if the Ultimate Life Form genes we have are both different somehow, though. They can't BOTH be from Dad." That was the one thing I refused to believe. Maybe someone else on this universe found their own way to make a counterpart to the one from the Sonic Dimension somehow.

Ali: "I sure hope so. But how would I have gotten it?"

Kyle: "No idea."
