Hello everyone, here is another one shot, this time from The Unexpected Gift

This is if Ann decided to leave the ship and ran into the Whitebeards later

This was a sort of a request

Hope you enjoy

Read and relax

Sasori gave a hum, looking at him, the captain sitting in his chair. "Ann is coming with us when she's fine. She wants to come with us." Whitebeard sighed, he was scared of that, that Ann would leave, but he got it. They hadn't been acting favorable before. "I see. I hope you will fare well." Sasori nodded. "I know this isn't the outcome you wanted, but it is what Ann wants." Whitebeard nodded. "I get it. We weren't nice. I hope our paths will cross again." Sasori nodded. "I hope so as well. We will still stay until Ann is a bit better. You have a better doctor than us." Whitebeard nodded, he would tell this to his children during dinner. He then spoke a bit more with Sasori, before he left. And when dinner came, he moved to stand and told everyone Ann would leave, she wouldn't stay here with them. It had many upset, but it was how it would be. They just needed to deal with it.

A few did say they wanted to talk to Ann, to see if they could change her mind. But the captain had a feeling Ann wouldn't stay, no matter what they said. He did say they could talk to Ann, but they couldn't force her to stay. Everyone looked sad with that, and Whitebeard did as well. He would lose a daughter.

Ann stayed with them for 3 more days, before they left. Those who wanted to speak with Ann had, but nothing changed her mind, she wanted to leave. And no one blamed her. She would leave and they would most likely never see her again, which was sad. But, it was what the woman wanted.

Whitebeard moved on the island they had docked at, which was a large island. There were many boats docked, and one boat looked familiar, but he didn't know why. It was maybe someone they had met before. But as they were walking around on the island, they soon saw a small boy crying, which had them frown, and Thatch walked over to him. "Hello, why are you crying?" The boy sobbed. "I- I - I can't find mommy!" Thatch nodded. "Do you want us to help you find her?" The boy nodded. "Y-yes. O-our boat is at the dock… but I can't find my way back…" They were in the middle of the city, so that was no wonder. Whitebeard then walked over, making the boy cower a bit. "What is your name, child?" The child sniffled. "S-Sabo." Whitebeard blinked. Sabo? Could it be? "Is your mother Ann?" The child blinked. "How- how do you know mommy's name?" It might be a coincidence, but the child looked to be 3 years old, and it was 3 years since Ann had left them. He hoped it wasn't a coincidence.

They then walked back to the dock with the child. Even if his mother wasn't on the boat, someone would be, so that was something. But as they were a bit away from the boat, the child started running towards his boat. "Mommy! Mommy!" Yelled the child, and they saw him running towards a small group of people, and he saw Ann with them, who turned to look at his child and met him halfway. "Oh my God! Sabo! You can't go off by yourself!" Sabo nodded, sniffling. "I got lost. I'm sorry, mommy." Ann shook her head. "No, it's okay. You're safe." Sabo nodded, before he looked at them. "They helped me back! They know you, mommy!" Ann blinked, lifting her head to look at them. "I- I know." Ann then looked at her son. "Go to dad, he's on the boat." The little boy nodded and before he left, he turned to them and gave a bow. "Thank you for helping me!" Then the child ran to the boat, Ann turning to make sure he made it, and Whitebeard walked up to what once was his daughter. "He is very well-behaved." Ann nodded. "Yeah, he is. We tried our best." Whitebeard nodded, looking at his previous daughter. She looked like herself still. Hair only a bit longer, her face looking more older now, but not by much. It had been 3 years.

Ann then sighed, turning to look at them. "Why are you here?" Whitebeard gave a smile. "Just roaming. How are you, Ann?" It was a neutral island, they hadn't followed the woman or meant to run into her. Ann nodded. "I'm okay. I'm happy and love being a mother." Whitebeard nodded, he wouldn't have doubted that a minute. Ann would love her child. "You fit as a mother, how's life treating you now?" Ann gave a nod, a hand moving through her hair. "It's okay. It is a bit hard being a mother and pirate, but it has gone by fine until now at least." That made him glad to hear. He knew being a mother and pirate was hard. "You look well, Ann." Ann nodded. "Same to you, all of you." Everyone nodded and seemed to be glad to have run into Ann. Sasori then came off the ship, him seeing Sabo next to Deidara on the boat, and Sasori came to stand beside Ann, a hand around her waist, giving a look to them. "Thank you, for bringing our son back." Whitebeard shook his head. "It was nothing. We wanted to help." Sasori nodded.

Whitebeard wanted to go over and hug Ann, but had a feeling she wouldn't like that, so he gave a smile and kind look. "I hope life will treat you both well. Parenthood suits you." Sasori and Ann nodded, the latter speaking. "Thank you. I hope you have a good stay." Whitebeard nodded and said the same, and Ann then turned around and headed to her boat with Saosri. When they were a bit away, Whitebeard turned around as well, going to head back to the town, but Thatch frowned. "We can't just leave her like that!" Whitebeard sighed. "She has her own life now. We messed it up, and this was the result. She has her own life, without us. Maybe our paths will cross again." He hoped so at least, he wanted to see how Ann was.

When evening came, he was out on deck, looking at the town. But as he were, he heard a small sound to his left, and turned towards the boarding plank to see Thatch hugging Ann, who had boarded. What did she want? The two then parted, Ann giving a small motion with her hand, before she walked over to him. "Hello, Whitebeard." It hurt a bit she called him that and not Pops, but he wouldn't show that. "Hello, Ann. How are you this evening?" Ann sighed. "I'm fine. Sabo fell asleep at once, of course, after telling how he met a giant, which was awesome." Whitebeard chuckled. "He is a cute child." Ann nodded. "He is your grandchild. I'm glad you got to meet him once." Whitebeard nodded. "I am as well. I wished things had gone differently." Ann sighed. "I do as well at times. But I am happy with Sasori." Whitebeard nodded. He got that, they had really been unfavorable. "I don't blame you for leaving, and I am happy to hear you are happy. That is what I want for all my children." Ann nodded. "I know. I just wanted to hear how you were."

Whitebeard nodded, giving a look to Ann. "I am well, more well now that I know you're fine, same with your son. Know we always have a spot in my family for you." Ann nodded, before she sighed, hands moving around herself. "I know, but I just can't." Whitebeard shook his head. "I know. We messed it up for you. As I said, I don't blame you for leaving." Ann nodded. "Yeah. I should head back, we're setting sail soon." Whitebeard nodded. "Have safe travels, Ann. I hope we will meet again." Ann nodded. "Same here. Goodbye, Whitebeard. Know you will always be a part of me, the happy memories." Whitebeard nodded. "I know. Goodbye, Ann." Ann then left, and as she did, Thatch came up to him with a sigh. "I hoped that she would say she wanted to stay here." Whitebeard sighed. "I knew she wouldn't. But, we will always be a part of her." Thatch nodded. "I heard. I am just glad I got to hug her one last time." Whitebeard was glad about that himself. He knew Thatch had really messed a friendship up.

He hoped Ann would be fine and her travel would be safe and all of her travelers would be healthy and that their paths will cross again, hopefully in a happier way. He still missed Ann. But, she had a life on her own now, and they weren't a part of it. But he wished they were in a way.

And that's the one shot, hope you enjoyed
