"And what would you like to eat?" the waiter asked, and Rin scanned the menu.
There were so many options that her mind and stomach just couldn't decide. There was pad thai, red curries, mango curries, yellow curries… and who, of course, could forget about the ice cream. In a way, she wanted it all. And to herself.
The waiter cleared his throat, causing her to look up and give him a nervous smile. "Sorry… everything just looks good… Can I have the...chicken pad thai…?"
"Of course," he said, noting it down, "Anything else?"
Rin shook her head, and the waiter grabbed their menus and left. She sighed and leaned back, her brown eyes looking up at the Uchiha male sitting across from her. The corner of his lips were raised.
"Wh-What?"
Obito shook his head slowly, "I just remembered about the first time I took you out to eat… and you were so unsure of what to get,"
She had been so fixated on the five-page menu that the waitress had gotten annoyed. Obito had found it amusing. He knew that throughout her lifetime, she had barely been taken out to eat. The experience was new to her.
Rin giggled, "You remember that?"
"Of course. It was our first date,"
"...But we become official like...two weeks later?"
"I know… but I was positive that we would start dating…"
Rin could only blush and look down at her lap. His words always made her feel shy and flushed. And she knew that he was well aware of how his words made her feel.
Obito got up from the opposite side and sat next to her, and her blush intensified. She was having deja vu, feeling as if they had just started dating again even though they had been together for months now. Obito could only smile down at her.
The waiter arrived with their food, and Rin wasted no moment. Grabbing the chopsticks, she dug in. Her stomach performed happy flips as the savory flavor entered her system. The rice noodles were cooked just right, and the bean sprouts were very fresh. Despite having difficulty eating with her left hand, she didn't stop.
After numerous bites of her food, Rin stopped as she felt a pair of eyes staring at her. With her chopsticks halfway towards her mouth, she turned her head towards Obito and raised an eyebrow.
"What?"
The Uchiha chuckled before wiping the corner of her mouth with his thumb.
"Nothing. I'm just glad that you're eating. I've been worried about you,"
She nodded, his worry for her was valid. Everything that has happened recently, from the moment her father shot the gun, had brought her down to a place that she thought she could never get out of. And while her final disassociation with her father has made her feel better, the guilt still lingered. Izumi had sent her three texts in the last seventy-hours - and Rin has not looked at any single one of them.
"Hey," Obito tapped the bottom of her chin, grabbing her attention again.
"Hm?"
"You...spaced out again… What are you thinking about?"
She bit her bottom lip lightly, tapping the chopsticks on a piece of napkin, "About Izumi… She sent me a few texts, but I haven't read them yet. And to be honest… I don't think I can… I-I… What my dad did to her, and your family… I…"
She tried to face away from him, but Obito held her chin lightly. He wasn't going to let her feel this way.
"My family holds no grudges against you, Rin. In fact, they worry about you too. They see you as family as well,"
"...I really don't deserve their kindness, Obito. What if Izumi or her baby had died? It's a miracle that they didn't...and all of this because of my father…"
"I know things could've been worse, but they didn't… So the best we can do is keep moving forward. Holding on to the guilt means letting your father win...and we both know how wrong he is on everything,"
She knew that he was right, and maybe in the near future things would go back to normal. But right now, the thought of Izumi and the rest of the Uchihas made her want to hide.
"Finish eating," Obito said, "You need your strength,"
"...I'm not hungry anymore," she said, pushing the plate away.
He didn't say anything, knowing that it would take some time for her to be back to her true self.
Later that night, when it was time to sleep, he hugged her from behind. She laid on her left side, feeling tired of always sleeping on her back. He traced his fingers along her thighs, his face buried on top of her head. His hand then travelled to her stomach, feeling the small yet hardened bump. He smiled and kissed her cheek. Her hand went to his, laying over it. Their fingers intertwined, a sudden feeling of need going through their bodies.
Obito kissed the side of her neck, his cock hardening as she moaned softly. Her eyes were closed, lips parted. While his mouth nibbled her neck, his hand travelled downwards...slipping underneath her shorts and underwear. His fingertips touched her clitoris before brushing against her wet opening. Rin breathed faster as she slowly swayed her hips against his hand, needing more.
He shifted from behind and laid her on her back, crawling over her carefully as she looked at him with nothing but desire. He lowered her shorts and panties quickly, removing his clothing shortly right after. Rin opened her thighs wider, her brown eyes watching his thick cock as she readied herself for the immense pleasure. Obito lowered his body until his tip poked her entrance, and he slowly thrust his hips forward...entering inch by inch. She softly moaned, her fingers from her left hand held onto the sheet underneath as her right arm laid still. Obito groaned as the tightness of her core hugged his cock. As always, she felt amazing to him… warm and moist.
Obito increased his speed, watching her reaction as she arched her back and chanted his name. Rin had a habit of saying his name over and over whenever they fucked, and he loved it. Whenever he would go in deeper and it would cause her some pain and pleasure, she would yell his name with a high pitched tone. But when he would go slow and sensual, she would sigh his name and smile. Tonight, he wanted to hear his name yelled.
Placing his arms under her back, he lifted her forward in a sitting position over his lap. She opened her eyes and watched him curiously before yelping as he got off the bed with his arms holding her from the back of her knees. She wrapped her left arm around his neck, her right arm sitting idle over his shoulder.
"I won't let you fall," Obito said in a reassuring tone, "But I will fuck you really hard right now,"
Rin could only nod as he moved her body front and back...front and back. Slow… before increasing his speed and slapping his skin against her. His penis went in at an angle, triggering an immediate reaction from her. Her head went back and she nearly yelped as Obito showed no mercy and continued to thrust roughly into her.
"Obito! Oh god…"
"Does it feel good, Rin?"
"Y-Yes!"
Obito smirked as he watched how her mouth was gaped, her left hand buried in his hair. He watched as her breasts bounced rapidly. Wanting a taste of them, he moved his hands to her buttcheeks and brought her body closer. Rin opened her eyes, just to close them again as he sucked on one of her breasts. His pace didn't slow as his tongue went over her nipple.
"Obito...Obito…"
"Are you ready to cum?"
"Y-Yes! Please kiss me! I need you!"
With her left hand, she fisted his hair and pulled his head towards hers. Obito chuckled as Rin kissed him roughly, biting his bottom lip as she tried to insert her tongue into his mouth. She was a messy kisser, but he didn't mind at all. He was her first in everything, so he'll cherish that experience while giving her all of the pleasure she deserved.
"Oh.. Obito… I'm about to...about to…"
He was close too, but he wanted her to come first. But the feeling of her pussy...its wetness and tightness had him losing control. He ejaculated suddenly, but he tried to keep going until he felt her body tremble as she came as well. With their liquids mixing, they both moaned and groaned as a blissful feeling went through their bodies.
Obito laid her back on the bed before lying next to her, bringing the sheet over their bodies. He kissed her cheek and brushed her hair with his fingers. Rin had a smile on her face.
"...I missed this…" she said softly, and he chuckled.
"So did I…"
"...My thighs hurt now…"
He chuckled before rubbing her stomach, the act causing her to sleep shortly afterwards.
Several days later...
Rin never realized the amount of work required for burying her mother, but that didn't stop her from signing forms after forms. And Obito helped her with every step. He hired someone to coordinate the process, starting with the cremation. It had taken a while for Rin to come to terms with the fact that she would have to cremate her mother's remains. It was something she had never even thought about. Yet, it was the most logical decision considering her mother's remains was nothing but bones. Obito had bought her a beautiful golden urn, and Rin appreciated how hands-on he was. The tombstone was also selected by him, the words Misako Nohara beautifully printed.
It was raining the day of the burial. Obito held a large umbrella over them, hugging her as she quietly sobbed against his chest. The priest took out a small book, his assistant ensuring that the umbrella stayed still as a gust of wind blew through. Another gentleman held the urn, waiting for the priest's signal.
Rin heard several cars pulling from behind, followed by several footsteps. She turned her head and gasped as several of the Uchiha family members walked towards them. They all dressed in black, holding flowers. She turned her head back and looked up at Obito with surprise.
"Your family came?"
He nodded, wiping a tear away from her face. "Yes, they wanted to show their respects."
She turned her head back and her eyebrows raised as she recognized Hiashi Hyuga and his two daughters, Hinata and Hanabi, also arrived.
"They also wanted to pay their respects," Obito whispered into her ear.
Despite the heinous crime committed by her father at the Hyuuga manor, Hiashi and his family chose to take time out of their schedule to show respect for her mother. And the Uchihas as well, and all of this had Rin feeling a mix of guilt and happiness.
The priest started speaking, reading the religious words from his book and chanting. Rin felt someone watching her, and she turned her head to find Izumi looking at her. The Uchiha smiled at her, and Rin smiled back. There was no baby in sight, but Itachi was standing right next to her.
The priest finished and the man placed the urn in the ground. The priest said something else, and the man began to shovel the dirt over the urn. Once he was done, Rin walked forward and laid the flowers over the ground near the tombstone.
Rest in peace, mommy… I'm sorry I couldn't figure out the truth much earlier. I miss you so much and I wish you were here to see everyone. They came here for you.
Obito placed a flower as well, closing his eyes for a brief moment before returning to her side. Once the priest was finished, he gave one final prayer before leaving.
Fugaku and Mikoto walked forward first, laying several flowers and bowing their heads in silence, giving a silent prayer. Since the shooting, Rin had not interacted with any of the Uchiha family members. She wasn't sure what to say to any of them, aside from apologies for her father's actions.
The older couple turned around to them, and Rin wanted to hide behind Obito. But she stood still as Mikoto approached her.
"How are you feeling?" she asked her gently.
"...I'm doing OK…" Rin answered, "Thank you...for stopping by. I appreciate it… and I'm sorry for...what my father has done-"
"There's no need for you to apologize to us," Fugaku said, "He will serve his sentence for all of the crimes he has committed,"
"And your mother can now rest in peace," Mikoto said.
Rin nodded, giving them a small smile as she felt slightly better knowing that they held no grudge against her.
There was a light tap on her shoulder, and she turned around to find Izumi standing right there. The young women looked at each other for a moment before embracing. Rin felt her eyes sting as she remembered how Izumi's body had dropped, and she sobbed. Izumi cried as well while rubbing her back.
"...I'm so sorry," Rin said to her, and Izumi shook her head.
"Why are you apologizing? You've been suffering the most,"
"...You and your baby could've died…"
"I know...I know… but we didn't….and there's nothing for you to apologize for,"
The girls pulled back, and Izumi cupped her face and used her thumbs to wipe her tears away.
"What is his name?" Rin asked curiously, and Izumi's smile widened.
"Izumo. And he'll be getting discharged in one week. He's doing really well. Itachi and I spend a lot of time with him,"
"That's great… I'm really happy for you. And I'm glad he's doing well. I...prayed a lot that night…"
"Thank you. You're really sweet, Rin… I would like you to see him,"
"That would be nice," Rin said, even though she felt worried seeing the child. The child her father tried to kill.
After Izumi and Itachi spoke with them, the rest of the Uchihas stopped by and laid more flowers on Mikaso's grave. Anko, Asuma, and Kurenai also stopped by. Anko and Rin hugged tightly, each girl still in a cast.
"Look at mine," Anko said, showing her friend how her cast had cats drawn entirely on it.
Rin giggled and shook her head.
Afterwards, Hiashi and his daughters stopped by. Rin gulped as the older man turned to her.
"I'm sorry for your loss, Rin. I do pray that she's in heaven resting now,"
"Thank you… and I sincerely apologize...for my father's actions at your home,"
Hiashi shook his head, "Please, there's nothing you need to apologize for. A parent's crimes do not and should not reflect on the child,"
"Thank you," Rin said, before turning her attention to Hinata.
The shy girl held a frame, and she gave it to her while speaking.
"H-Here you go, Rin… I drew this… for you,"
Rin looked at the hand-drawn portrait and gasped. Hinata had drawn a realistic picture of her mother. From the hair, to the eyebrows, eyes, nose and mouth… the Hyuuga girl drew Misako just as how Rin remembered her.
"Hinata… this is...beautiful. How were you able to…"
"Obito sent me a picture and asked if I could draw as a portrait,"
Rin looked at the portrait with an amazed look. She didn't have many pictures of her mother, but what Hinata had drawn was life like.
"Hinata, this is beautiful. Thank you for doing this. I...appreciate it so much,"
The girl nodded before following her father and sister towards the back, and Rin looked up at Obito.
"This is really beautiful… And so realistic,"
"I know," he said, "Naruto had told me a while ago that Hinata was very artistic, and he showed me a picture she had drawn of Kushina. So I asked her to do something similar for your mom,"
"That is very sweet of you," Rin told him, "I...don't know what I would've done without you, Obito."
He gave her a smile and kissed the side of her head, "I told you once and I'll always tell you again… I'm always going to be here for you, Rin."
After the burial was completed and the couple finished speaking with the remaining guests, they prepared to head to the house previously owned by her father. Just as they got back in the car, Rin noticed a figure standing by her mother's grave. It didn't take long for her to realize that it was Hiruzen, and he was saying something while placing some flowers on the ground. Rin wasn't surprised that he had shown up, but she wasn't angry about it either. Regardless of what the DNA results were, Hiruzen would never be a father figure to her. However, considering he loved her mother so much, she appreciated him taking time to show respect.
The drive to her old home took almost an hour; and by the time they arrived, Rin felt a sense of deja vu mixed with nervousness. This would be the first time Obito would be stepping inside, and she wasn't sure how bad the home was since she last visited. The windows were covered with black plastic bags, something she figured her father must've done. The house next door had a For Sale sign situated by the small porch.
They crossed the street and walked towards the front door. Rin unlocked the door and gave it a slight push, the old moldy smell quickly hitting her nostrils. She slowly walked, landing in the kitchen first. Obito followed her as well, his eyes taking in the deteriorating condition.
"...This...was my home since I was born…"
Majority of the cabinets were broken, the floor creaked with every step they took. One of the kitchen chairs had its legs snapped. There were ants and roaches over the stove. Rin remembered how her and her mother always made sure to keep every area clean in order to avoid any type of pests. For the majority of times, it worked.
She walked deeper into the home, into the living room and towards a narrow door. She opened it and peeked inside before walking in.
"...And this was my room,"
The ceiling, which had been damaged for years, now had a gaping hole. Majority of the debris had fallen on her old bed.
Rin turned around to look at him, seeing as he looked around the small room.
"Pretty bad….right?" she asked, feeling embarrassed to show him the condition she was raised in.
"Dangerous," Obito said, "It's not safe to stay in here,"
"I know… This is why I never invited you over. I didn't want you seeing this mess,"
He walked closer to her, "It wouldn't have changed how I felt about you. I know we haven't been together for years, but I was happy when you came to me… and decided to live with me…"
"Feels like we've been together for years already," she said, thinking about how they would split chores, came home from work at around the same time, and typically had sex right before bed. Heck, it was no wonder she got pregnant so quickly.
"We should leave now," he said, "the smell and dirt aren't good for you and the baby,"
He was right about that. Her pregnancy had a rocky start. Last thing she wanted was the smell of mold and dirt causing any permanent issues.
But there was one thing on her mind regarding the house. Now that her father was about to start serving a long sentence, according to Baki the house now belonged to her.
"Do you think I can sell this house?" she asked as they started to exit.
Obito looked around the structure; old greasy walls, broken cabinets, cracked windows, ceiling falling apart, pests…
"I'm not sure who would buy this place. It's falling apart…. But, you can sell it back to the bank and let them do whatever they want with it,"
Rin thought about it for a while, nodding slowly… "I...would prefer that. I don't want to own this house… too many memories…"
Obito was glad that she had come to that decision. It showed how she wanted to move on and not be associated with the past. It would make planning for their child much easier, and her mental health would get better.
"Shisui and Itachi know several realtors and bank representatives who could be interested in buying this and flipping it. I will give them a call later today. You may not get much out of this place, though."
"Even if I get nothing in return, I would rather not have this house under my name," she said as they stood outside, the front door locking forever.
Author's Note: And this concludes chapter 34! This story is coming to an end, and I hope you all have enjoyed it. I'm guessing that there's 5 - 6 more chapters left. I am already thinking of the next ObiRin fic to write (gotta support this ship!).
Anyway, let me know what you thought about this chapter! Reviews inspire me overall (and i love to read everyone's feedback)
