Hi, everyone! I hope you all enjoy this story as much as I did while writing it. Please feel free to review, I would love to hear your thoughts.

Disclaimer: I don't own My Hero Academia or any of its characters. Mizuki, however, is my own creation.

Let's start with the story, shall we?*

Chapter 34

The news of the defeated Hero Killer spread like a wildfire on the news. It had a great impact on society, everyone shocked at what happened. Questions arose about what happened and who was the one who defeated him.

To prevent harmful consequences on the record of the three U.A. students, the credit was given to Endeavor. It stated that he was the one who had defeated the Hero Killer and had been thrown into the chaos of the media.

With the pro hero occupied, his sidekicks were busy with paperwork and Mizuki was given off until everything had settled down. After the incident in Hosu, their business trip was cut and the rest of the internship would be spent back at his official office.

Mizuki only had a few bruises and scratches, nothing nearly as serious as some of the injuries sustained during the battle. Iida, Shoto and Izuku were all hospitalized. Their injuries were taken care off and luckily for them, their reputations as well.

Mizuki sat in the waiting room, wearing casual clothing that consisted of dark black pants and a green coloured top. She stared down at her black pair of combat boots, brows furrowed and frown deep.

The Chief of Hosu's Police Department along with Manual and Gran Torino were currently visiting the trio students. They had to be informed about the decisions made regarding the battle and what the consequences were.

Mizuki had already seen a tip of the iceberg from Endeavor's anger, a part of his tantrum known to everyone in the branch hero agency. He was pissed. In a way, she found his frustration amusing but it didn't last long until she felt the same.

She felt conflicted. Had she gone with Shoto to help Izuku, they might've not even gotten involved in the fight. Yet, those odds weren't for certain. She had a feeling that if she went, that Aizawa's words would've fallen on deaf ears again.

In all honesty, she was relieved that they were alive and breathing. The thought of them fighting against the Hero Killer had sparks appearing over her body. They survived that. Even though she had stared death right in the eyes at USJ, the sensation of fear he left her was much worse.

"Kid." Mizuki looked up from her gaze to see Gran Torino, Manual and the Chief stand by the door. She immediately shot up, standing upright. "We've finished talking. You can go and greet those troublemakers," Gran Torino said.

"Thank you."

"No, thank you," the Chief said and Mizuki's eyes widened. "You did as you were told and didn't step over the line. Your efforts are appreciated. I would like you to keep the news about the young ones' achievement to yourself to avoid violations."

Mizuki nodded. "That goes without saying. Thank you for looking out for my classmates, Chief," Mizuki said and he smiled giving her a thumbs up. She returned a small smile, the emotion not quite reaching her eyes.

"Nova." Mizuki's eyes widening at Manual's calling to her hero name. "Thank you for all your help out there. Keep up the good work, Future Hero," he said, a big smile on his lips and Gran Torino huffing with his own small smile.

Mizuki smirked and nodded. "I'll be sure to give my best," she replied, confidence laced in her voice. They left soon after, leaving Mizuki on her own once again. She looked down at her hands and made fists as she exhaled.

Best Jeanist Office…

"Regarding the incident last night in Hosu City in west Tokyo with the arrest of the Hero Killer: Stain and the villains that resembled the Nomu who attacked U.A. You are probably all worried about that right now," Best Jeanist spoke as he stood in front of his group of sidekicks.

Amongst the group stood Katsuki, wearing a tightly fitted jean, his once spiky ash blonde hair now combed flat against his head. He trembled as he stood and listened, his frustration skyrocketing and his eagerness to get away growing.

"Yes, it is something I am also very worried about. People tend to only pay attention to big events. However, it is especially at times like this that heroes must remain calm. Chaos can sometimes tempt people and draw out the cruelty that lies sleeping inside them at their core," he continued.

"Which means, it will be business as usual for us today, as well. Let us brace our minds and bodied with our tight jeans," Best Jeanist spoke, the group of sidekicks replying with an exclaim as Katsuki stood with gritted teeth.

I… I want to go home right now…

He heard about the happenings in Hosu City, his sister confirming what had happened and that she was part of evacuating the civilians. She was on the scene near the action while his hair was forced down into a slick position.

This internship was hell.

Fourth Kind Agency…

"Oh, I got a reply from Midoriya!" Eijiro exclaimed as he stood by his licker, red eyes scanning through the text that was sent to him. "It was at Hosu City, to that location information was an SOS after all, huh? I'm glad I reported it." A sigh escaped him.

"Hey, Fourth Kind's gonna hit you! Let's go!" Tetsutetsu told the male, closing his locker door as he finished up. Eijiro turned back to his phone, a text from Mizuki popping up on his screen making him smile, completely unaware of the danger that lurked behind him.

"Wait a sec! I'm gonna reply."

Both him and Tetsutetsu received a hard hit on their heads from Fourth Kind as he glowered. "Didn't I tell you that you must always be punctual?!" He scolded the duo, his fists pulsing from punching their hard heads.

"S-Sorry, sir!"

"Alright, we're going on patrol!" He ordered and turned to walk away. Eijiro gave a sad and apologetic glance to his phone before putting it away. He would definitely reply her later on. He closed his locker door and fell in behind him along with Tetsutetsu.

"Yes, sir!"

Hosu General Hospital…

Mizuki could hear laughter as she reached the door where the troublesome trio rested. With eyes hidden beneath a shadow, her hand rested on the handle of the door. She slammed it open with one powerful motion, crimson eyes blazing.

"You sure sound cheerful, today, huh?" Mizuki darkly said, Iida and Izuku's laughter vanishing and Shoto's eyes resting on her figure. She stood in the doorway, a dangerous smirk plastered on her lips as she glared at them.

"M-Mi-chan…" Izuku swallowed thickly as he turned a bit with his crutch supporting his left side. "U-Um, I-It's nice t-to see you. I-I heard t-that you h-helped out. T-Thank you f-f-or…" He found his words falling as she took a step closer, sparks appearing over her body.

"You…IDIOTS!"

Mizuki gave each of them a hard punch on their heads, the trio wincing in pain as they held the newly formed bumps. Steam came from her fist as it trembled, teeth grinding against each other as her eyes narrowed.

"Every…single…one…of you…are causing way too much trouble! I trusted that you would listen to some good advice but you only follow your own heads! Do you want me to kill you?! HUH?!" Mizuki yelled at them, Izuku paling, Iida and Shoto's eyes averting towards the ground.

"W-Wait! Mi-chan!"

"Shut up, Idiot-zuku." He sealed his lips instantly at her dark tone. Mizuki felt nearly overwhelmed by her various of emotions. She was angry, frustrated. She felt disappointed and simultaneously she was relieved.

"Mizuki-kun, I sincerely apologize," Iida spoke up, Mizuki's gaze snapping towards him as she sharply eyed him. "I let my anger and hatred take over me and caused you trouble. I even caused Midoriya-kun and Todoroki-kun's injuries. If you want to get back at someone, it should be me."

"No! Wait!"

"You better grit your teeth, Four-Eyes. I'm going to murder you right here and now," Mizuki breathed and cracked her knuckles, steam emerging from her mouth. Small explosions caused her hair to float up slightly.

"Mizuki, wait-!"

Iida gasped out when Mizuki hit her head against his, a chocked gasp escaping his lips. He could feel the pain that rocketed from the area where she hit, his one eye opening only to widen. Mizuki's crimson eyes quivered as she glared at him, a bruise on her forehead.

Mizuki breathed heavy, her hands trembling. She forced herself to make fists to get rid of the shaking. Her own head pulsed where she hit him, the pain not enough to bring her out of her emotional state.

"I hope I hit some sense into you, Four-Eyes," Mizuki said in a much calmer tone. She felt some of the start to leave her body and exhaled, briefly closing her eyes. Her one eye twitching as she bit her bottom lip.

"I'm not supposed to be worried about you shitheads. I'm not supposed to care if you all die. I'm not supposed to want to keep you safe. I'm not supposed to be afraid that you might've gotten more hurt…" Mizuki trailed off and their eyes widened.

Realization washed over them, and they were stunned. All this time, Mizuki had always been keeping an eye out for them. She kept them on their feet and despite her aggressiveness, she cared for them.

Mizuki felt a pair of arms wrapped around her middle as Izuku pulled her into an embrace. He had his green eyes closed, a soft smile plastered on his face as he rested his head against hers. His hug comforting.

"Thank you for worrying about us, Mi-chan. Sorry that we burdened you with our fighting," Izuku gently stated, Mizuki relaxing in the embrace. She felt the last of her tension fade off and let out a sigh.

"You better be," she said with little snap in her voice, a smirk forming onto her expression. A gleam of relief passed through her eyes. They were all safe. They were okay. Strange. This must've bene how everyone else felt when she lay in the hospital.

It was a shitty feeling.

She caught sight of a very rare smile from Shoto, his eyes content as he looked at Mizuki. She was taken back by the expression he made. She had never thought that she would see such a pure expression… A vein then pulsed out of her head.

"Hey, Ice Bastard! I'm not trusting you with shit!" Mizuki snapped at the young male, pointing at him with her index finger. Shoto gave her a blank expression. "Next time you try to act cool and try to be reliable I'm gonna blow your ass up!"

"M-Mi-chan, don't move all of the-Wah!" Izuku tried to stop the female from moving too sudden, his body unbalanced on one leg and his crutch standing on the side. It resulted in both him and Mizuki to crash onto the floor.

"Midoriya-kun! Are you alright?!"

Izuku and Mizuki both groaned, the ash blonde cursing underneath her breath. First, it was her forehead that hurt after she hit Iida and now it was the back of her head. Crimson eyes slowly fluttered open as she felt the weight on top of her shifting.

"Izu-kun…"

Izuku's landing was much softer than he expected, green eyes opening slowly. He blinked as he stared at Mizuki's slowly reddening face. He found heat surge through his body as he realized the position, they were in. He fell with his head on top of her breasts, his leg between her legs.

"Ah! S-Sorry!" Izuku exclaimed, wanting to push himself up but right arm rocketed with pain, causing him to fall on top of her again. The panic and embarrassment grew between the two, Izuku wanting to bury himself.

"Midoriya-kun, I'll help you up."

"Ah, thank you, Iida-kun," Izuku said as he went to bend down and give a hand. Everyone in the room froze at his action, an awkward silence lingering in the air. Iida's arms were in casts and both in a sling. Shoto stared at this and then let his head fall into depression.

"The curse of the hand crusher…"
"That's what you're getting at now?!"

"Hey, Ice Bastard! Help Perv-zuku off me!" Mizuki snapped at the boy who gave her the most heart wrecking expression in the world. Why was he going in full depression? Iida wasn't in a better state either, a dark cloud circling over his head at the fact that he couldn't help.

"I'm a failure of a deputy class rep…"
"What is wrong with you?!"

With much difficulty, Izuku was helped off Mizuki and helped onto his bed. Tears stung his eyes as his pride was shattered. He didn't do it on purpose. Why did it always have to happen to them that they were put in compromising positions?

Mizuki sat next to the male, arms holding her up as she leaned backwards, eyes staring off into the distance. Izuku sat with his hands intertwined and eyes covered by a shadow as a dark cloud hung above his head.

"What are you going to do now, Mizuki-kun? Shouldn't you be busy with your internship?" Iida asked, sitting comfortably on his own bed. Shoto was busy drinking from a small juice box, eyes gazing at Mizuki's relaxed figure.

"Endeavor's currently busy pleasing the media and embracing the spotlight. I was given off in the meantime so I guess I'll spend it here until I'm needed," Mizuki replied lazily a smirk forming on her lips at the thought of the agitated male.

"I see… It was quite unexpected that you were interning with the number two hero alongside Todoroki-kun. As expected from you," Iida said with a small smile. Mizuki scoffed, rolling her eyes at his statement.

She wasn't going to tell him that the pro hero merely picked her to discipline her. She also wasn't going to tell him that hell was waiting for her. After all, she called him a 'prickhead', 'old man' and 'baby sitter'. She didn't regret it though.

"He's going to give you a hard time." Mizuki felt a stab in her chest at Shoto's brutal honesty. "Be prepared for a rough time," he said and Mizuki let out a breath. Sometimes, she didn't want to hear her thought aloud.

"I know, but he's the number two hero. I'm willing to take everything he throws at me." Mizuki smirked, a gleam of mischief passing through her eyes. The thought of having an impossible challenge that lay in front of her, was exciting.

She wondered if her brother's internship had improved. The last message she received from him was that it was impossible to cope with Best Jeanist. Not to mention that he had to change his hair and had to wear a jean with his costume,

She told him to send her a photo but he refused. She wondered how bad it could possibly be. Their hair was stubborn, no changes stuck because of their exploding spiking. She was sure that it wouldn't last long.

Speaking of spiky hair, she wondered how Eijiro was doing. He hadn't replied to her since the night before. She assumed that he was busy alongside Tetsutetsu. She sweat dropped. It was a strange friendship that blossomed after their match.

She missed her two crazy boys, but she wasn't going to admit it aloud. She could vaguely feel her brother's fuming anger within her chest, filling her with peace. Despite being far away, he still felt near her. She would wait for Eijiro's reply, knowing that everyone was busy.

The time in the hospital flew by quite fast, the tension in the atmosphere long since dispersed. They conversed freely despite the events still being fresh in their memories. It was one battle none of them was going no forget.

Mizuki glanced at her phone as it buzzed. She received a text from one of the sidekicks telling her that they were here to pick her up. Strange. The message came forth as loud and obnoxious, making her pale slightly at who could've sent it.

"That's my cue," Mizuki said, pushing herself off her best friend's bed. "You boys better take care and don't give your pro heroes too much trouble." She gave both Izuku and Iida a stern look, Shoto not receiving any. She was as savage as always.

"Mizuki, I'll catch up to you as soon as possible," Shoto said, his expression serious but there was a tinge of sincerity in his voice. It made her recall his words towards his father, her confusion regarding the statement still present.

"…Keep an eye on Mizuki…" Why?

Mizuki smirked and made a fist. "I'd like to see you try ever catching up to me, Ice Bastard! Don't think you can get all cocky because you kicked a villain's ass," Mizuki arrogantly stated, crimson eyes gleaming. Shoto stared at her and then smiled.

"Yeah."

Mizuki felt the statement fall away at his smile. Was he even taking her seriously? Why was he smiling like that? She felt her eye twitch under his gaze. She shifted her eyes away and let out a scoff before walking out.

"Mi-chan! Thanks for everything!"
"Keep well, Mizuki-kun!"

Mizuki waved them off, a smirk hidden from them as she walked out. They stared at her exiting figure, confidence in each step she took. Izuku couldn't help but admire her once again. She had grown a lot to admit that she cared about others.

Shoto's smile didn't face away even after she left. He was relieved. She had been safe and sound as he had hoped for. He didn't want to see her suffering ever again. After USJ and the sports festival, it had been something that he dreaded.

He wondered what was wrong with him?

"Well look who it is! It's about time you get down here!" Burnin's voice reached Mizuki's ears and she paled. The said female stood next to a black car, a big toothy smirk plastered on her face as she stared Mizuki down.

It was her.

"Took you long enough! Hurry up! We've got to get you back to the office! The Endeavor agency has its own fully-furnished residences! You'll be eating and sleeping in the company of the Flaming sidekicks!" Burning said as she walked towards the driver seat, Mizuki reluctantly walking towards the passenger seat.

"We're going to have you rest up for today and from tomorrow on, you're all mine!" Burnin announced as she closed the door behind her. Mizuki froze up at her words and sweat dropped at her enthusiasm.

"What do you have plan-?" Mizuki's question chocked in the back of her throat when the car rushed off. She barely closed the door when Burnin drove away at full speed, her hands digging into the chair as sparks appeared.

She was going to die!

"We have loads of requests and matters to take care of. You'll be under my care while we do it. As you know we're a large operation! Endeavor has over 30 sidekicks! There won't be time for you to take the shine. You'll be much too busy!" Burnin laughed, swinging the car around the traffic.

Mizuki was too busy holding on to her chair as her life depended on it. Her heart was hammering in her chest, explosions wanting to erupt from her body. All possible questions she had to ask were gone without a trace.

Mizuki felt her vertigo return, this time out of the female next to her insane driving. What made matters worse was the fact that she was laughing loudly. Mizuki only now knew the true meaning of batshit crazy.

When the car finally stopped, Mizuki nearly fell out of her chair onto the pavement. Everything spun around her, cold sweat trailing down the side of her face. Adrenaline rushed through her system and her breathing was heavy.

"Let's get to it!"

"Hah?! Are you shitting me?! I could've died! Who drives like that?!" Mizuki snapped at the female, still on all fours as she held onto the ground. Burnin who had her hands on her hips, blinked and then snickered.

"My bad!"

A vein popped out from Mizuki's head, teeth grinding together. "Don't 'My bad' me! How did you even get your driver's license?!" Mizuki snapped at the female, veins pulsing out from underneath her skin in agitation.

"FLAME ON!"

Mizuki's attention was drawn towards the other batch of flamingo hot sidekicks that stepped out of the entrance, striking a pose. Mizuki let her shoulder slump in defeat when Burning joined the fray. It was no use. They were lost causes.

"Yo, I see you survived Burnin's driving!" One of the men spoke up, Miuzki taking in his bandaged appearance. Burnin let out a laugh, completely unfazed by the hidden insult in his words. She didn't seem to be fazed by anything.

"I almost died."

Another male chuckled as he came in next to his partner, his signature metal brace with horns on his forehead. "No one has died with her driving…yet." His words didn't make Mizuki feel much better. On the contrary, it made her feel worse.

"I heard that!"

"Anyway, let's get you up to speed," the bandaged male said, walking off. Mizuki followed reluctantly, her vertigo wavering around in her body. The others all marched along, grins plastered on their faces.

Hero Name: Kido
Quirk: Traject

"For the most part, we rotate patrol and standby shifts. Between emergencies, bodyguard work, event offices, etc. We handle over one hundred requests every day!" Kido said, Mizuki's eyes widening at his words.

As Burnin had told her, they were a large operation with 30 sidekicks. Not to mention he was the number two hero. It would only make sense that they would be that busy. She didn't know how it was possible for them to stay overflowing with energy.

"…We're going to have you rest up for today and from tomorrow on, you're all mine!"

Mizuki frowned deeply, brows knitting together. Endeavor wasn't planning on giving her any time of day, meaning that he definitely wasn't going to train her. Why did she come all the way here then? Only as a side request?

She wanted to learn from his fighting style. The way he used his Hell Flames had her rethinking the use of her own Quirk. Even though it differed in type, the applications were somewhat the same. That's why she tried to imitate his blue flames by using her white explosion.

"Endeavor offices is also equipped with a training floor consisting of a gym, a general training area and even personal training quarters. It's important as a hero to train every day even if we don't engage in combat regularly," the bandaged male continued.

Mizuki stopped dead in her tracks, clenching her fists by her side as sparks appeared all over her body. He was taking her words lightly. He didn't have time for her? He didn't want to train her? It was all in the same and it pissed her off.

"Mm? What's wrong?"

I'll show him not to underestimate me! Mizuki thought angrily and smirked darkly. "I want to start immediately. I've rested enough for the day. I don't want to loaf around when my time at this internship is limited," she said and they stared at her in surprise.

"Ha! I like your spunk, Kid!" Burnin laughed, putting her hands on her hips. "Okay! Let's do it! Go change into your costume and we'll take you out on patrol! My shift starts now anyway!" Burnin said and Mizuki grunted.

I have to make the best of this opportunity!
