For a moment the entire environment had become silent... No one was in their senses... When, slowly Everyone realised what had happened,
Rishta:(screamed):- Bhaiyaaaaaaaa (burst into tears)
The first bullet fired by Ajay, that was meant for Rishta had pierced through Ron's chest.. He just fell down on the ground with a thud...
Ajay:- Aaah...
The other bullet had hit his hand and the gun had fallen from his hand...
Raksha (shocked):- Ajay.. (looking at the direction from which the bullet was fired):- Abhijeet... Daya... Oh no...
Abhi and Daya came running towards them...
Abhi:- Rishtaaaaaa... (shocked on seeing Ron) Ron..?!!!
He ran towards them...
Daya:- Rakshaaaaa (angrily) tumne.. tumne ek bachche ko maar daala... itna achha bachcha...
Raksha:- Ajay.. chalo.. (claps her hand for once) aa jao sab log
Immediately, many black dressed men came out from behind them...
Ajay:- Raksha bhago... we have to run
Daya:- Bhag ke jaoge kaha..
The goons pounce on Daya..
Daya:(punching on of them):- Ajaaaayyyy... agar Ron ko kuchh hua na.. toh tera aisa haal banaunga na.. ki apne jeenepe pachtayega tu...
A fierce struggle takes place between the goons and Daya... Raksha and Ajay, finding a golden opportunity, get inside the car and flee...
Meanwhile Abhijeet had to let the two villains leave as he was running with Ron in his arms.. towards the car... after Daya had said he would manage the goons...
Inside the car...
Rishta and Ron were on the back seat..
Rishta:(taking his head in her lap):- Bhaiya.. aap ko kuchh nahi hoga (crying badly) aap she na mai baat nahi kalungi agal aap ne eyes close kiya toh...
Ron(smiles):- T... tu thik.. thik hai.. (sighs) na... I... I'm s.. s... sorry... m.. maine t... tujhe ya... aa. aaahhhaaa... tak... yaha tak l... laya...
He closed his eyes...
Rishta:(crying badly):- Mai loser hoon... mai maanti hoon... (crying) aap plz uth jao na... mai.. mai kabhi loser nahi bulaungi...
But it was of no use then...
Rishta:- Papa... papa dekho na... bhaiya aankhein naii khol lahe... kya ho gaya inhe... papa...
Abhi was having tears in his eyes... He couldn't believe that a boy of only 16 years of age had taken the bullet meant for his own daughter...
Abhi:- Himmat rakho beta... kuchh nahi hoga.. tumhare bhai ko
But he could already foresee the dark future... HOPELESSLY, he tried to provide Rishta with some HOPE...
Rishta:- Bhaiyaa... aaa (crying)
Abhi:- Rishta don't cry beta... kuchh nahi hoga aap ke bhai ko...
He felt a lump in his throat as he uttered those words... He knew he was simply lying...!!!
After sometime,
ACP's side,
The other officers had come back to the bureau, finding nothing...
ACP:- Abhi.. Daya dono pohunch toh gaye hai.. par koi khabar nahi.. pata nahi kya hua...

ACP:- Ha Freddy.. Rishta... Rishta zaroor thik hogi...
Shreya:- Lekin bahut der ho chuki hai.. kisi ne call bhi nahi kiya

ACP:- Agar firing ho rahi ho toh
Vivek:- Sir mujhe lagta hai hume bhi ussi jagah jana chahiye
ACP:- Ha mai bhi yahi kehne wala tha... chalo nikalte hai
They stepped out of the bureau..
ACP's phone rang...

ACP (on call):- Hello Daya.. kaha ho

Daya:- Sir.. abhi operation chal raha hai.. umeed bahut kam hai.. mai baad mein batata hoon..
ACP:- Aur Abhi Rishta.. dono

Daya hangs the call..

Purvi:- Kya bataungi.. ki Rishta kahi bahar chali gayi.. peechhe ke darwaze se aur mujhe pata nahi chala..
PM:- Ha aur kya kare... (tensed) ab galti ho gayi toh
Purvi:- Mumma... uski jaan ko khatra hai.. (crying) pata hai na aap ko.. phir bhi mujhse yeh galti ho gayi... kaise..??!!!
PM:- Purvi dekho.. shayad aas paas
Purvi:- Aap gayi thi na nahi mile na dono.. phir kyun jhoothi tasalli de rahe ho
PM:- Beta.. mana aisa nahi hona chahiye tha.. lekin is mein tumhari galti nahi.. mai Abhijeet ko batati hoon
She dialled Abhijeet's number...
PM (on call):- Hello Abhijeet
Abhi(other side):- H.. Ha... boliye
PM:- Woh.. R.. Rishta
Abhi:- Pata hai.. kuchh batane ki zaroorat nahi...
PM:- Dhyan nahi diya.. shayad
Abhi:- It's ok aunty... Rishta mere sath hi hai
PM:- Kya... woh tumhare paas gayi hai
Abhi:- Nahi.. acha.. mai Purvi se baat kar sakta hoon.. for 2 minutes

In the hospital,

Abhi:- Ha beta... (POV) ab kaise batau tumhari ma hai woh.. (to Rishta) jab badi ho jaogi.. tab.. tab khoob maarna aise logon ko..
Rishta:- Mele bhaiya ne mujhe bachaya aul unhe goli lag gayi.. chholungi nahi unhe... mai...
Abhi:- Ha.. mat chhodna.. achhe se saza dilwana.. aise logon ko...
Daya was moving to and fro in the corridor of the hospital in front of the Operation Theatre... Just then, the light went off...
Daya:- Abhi...
Abhi:- Himmat rakh yarr..
The door opened and the doctors came out...
Daya:- Doctor... Ron kaisa hai
Doctor:- Sorry sir... khabar achhi nahi hai
Daya:- Kyaaaa
Doctor:- Sorry sir... bachche ki jaan chali gayi hai... chance bhi kam hi tha.. bachne ki.. itna khoon nikal chuka tha... aur goli bhi bilkul heart ke paas hi
Rishta:(pulls the doctor's apron):- Uncle.. (not understanding anything properly) bhaiya thik toh hai na... bhaiya ab mele shath khelenge na
Doctor:- I'm sorry beta... mai aap ke bhai ko nahi bacha paya... (to duo) excuse me..
Doctor leaves...
Rishta:(crying):- Papa.. aap ne kaha tha na bhaiya thik ho jayenge.. jhoot kyun bola.. (rubbing her eyes) mujhe Pulvi aunty ke paas jana hai.. nahi lehna yaha.. aap ne jhoot bola...
Abhi:(hugs her):- Mujhe kaise pata hota beta.. aap ko dilasa dene ke liye hi toh.. (tearfully) I'm sorry beta
CID team enters...
ACP:- Abhi.. Daya...
Daya:(tearfully):- Sir.. Ron ko nahi bacha sake hum... usne jaan ki bazi laga di
ACP:- Lekin usse le kar bhi toh wahi gaya tha na
Daya:- Ha lekin end mein ussi ne.. Rishta ki hisse ki goli kha li..
Freddy:(tearfully):- Sir inko sharam nahi aati.. ek chhote bachche ko bhi nahi chhoda inhone
Abhi:- Nahi Freddy... bade patthar dil insaa hai dono..
Rishta:- Papa chalo na.. plzzzz... mujhe... nahi lehna yaha...
Daya:- Abhi tum jao.. hum yaha dekh lenge
Abhi:- Ohh.. ohhk...
Taking Rishta in his arms he walked towards the main door of the hospital... He silently wiped her tears and made her sit on the passenger's seat.. Rishta was quiet now... It was too much for her soft heart to bear... She was now in a state of shock... after her brain could properly make out the meaning of DEATH... She could realise that her brother was no more... Yes.. it was just some hours but still a special Brother-Sister bond had started to form between them...
