Byaruki thoughts: Side stories for Game of Life

A/N: since I think that I was grasping at straws on Game of Life, I decided to document the supposed events that can support this pairing.
Chapter 3: Life with you, but without you [part 12]
"Kuchiki!" Kaien exclaimed as he enters Byakuya's quartes at the squad 6th.
Byakuya just remained silent, as the head of the Shiba clan, who was 50 years older than him, barged in without permission.
"Why are you not letting her, attain a rank?! She has great potential, and very capable" Kaien ranted on angrily. "Why are you suppressing her like this?!"
Byakuya just remained silent, letting the man exhaust himself. For its not beneficial to argue with logic blinded person. He concluded.
"She's not Hisana" Kaien commented after a while.
This made Byakuya look him up in the eye. As he stand up from his seat.
"What do you imply?" Byakuya warned. His eyes steely.
At this, Kaien backed off a little. Guess he had rubbed a sore wound with his comment.
"I am going to train Rukia tomorrow, I want you to remove her guards" Kaien declared as careful as he could, knowing that Byakuya is quite possessive even in his early age.
Silence met his request, as Byakuya just turned away from him. Angry but his face never showed it.
"You won't be able to protect her all the time" Kaien explains. "She has to learn how to protect herself. And she won't learn until you let go of your hold on her movements" he added.
Byakuya decide that he had enough of his talk, and just walked away, leaving Shiba alone in his office.
Kaien could not help but shake his head at the leader of the Kuchiki clan's stubbornness.

And so, Kaien and Rukia spent days alone in the mountains to train.
