Amity sat next to Camila's bed. She felt so bad for Luz, she can't even imagine how badly this is affecting her.
"Hey, how's she doing?"
Amity looked at the door and saw Erica.
"Not good, I don't know if something is going to help." Amity said, "I should've picked the Healing Track."
Erica sat next to her and wrapped an arm around her shoulder.
"Hey, why don't you tell me what bothering her?" Amity stayed quiet, "Come on, tell your older sister what the matter is."
Erica started to poke Amity in the side, making her start to giggle.
"Come on, Mittens, tell your older sister."
Amity smiled at Erica, but it turned into a frown when she thought about it.
"I'm... I'm worried about Luz. She's out there, all alone and I feel useless just sitting here!"
"Hey, there was nothing you could've done, Mittens. The only thing we can do is wait."
"I guess you're right." Amity said.
"Yeah, come on, let's go get some air."
They walk out of the room and start heading for the entrance. They open the door and went outside.
"You know, I love the night sky." Amity said, watching the moon rise.
"Yeah, it really is wonderful." Erica said.
In the tree line, there was a crossbow lining up its shot. It fired and hit Erica in the leg. Erica fell down and screamed in pain.
"Erica!"
Amity got on her knees and looked at the arrow sticking out of Erica's thigh. Amity got up and placed Erica's arm around her shoulder. She helped Erica up and helped her inside.
"Emira! We need you!"
Emira ran into the room and saw Erica.
"What happened!?"
"Someone shot an arrow at her! I think it was a deliberate attack!" Amity said.
Before they could do anything, the door was being hit. It was broken down and Amity stood up.
"Get Erica to your room, I'll hold them back."
Emira grabbed Erica and started to get her out of the room. Amity looked at the intruder and growled at them.
"Hello, little Human. Why don't you be a good girl and give up."
Amity responded by removing her gloves.
"Try me." Amity said.
Amity ran a him and performed a jumping back kick. He was knocked back and Amity delivered a powerful elbow strike to his jaw. On her rebound, she hit him with a, hard, roundhouse. She placed her hand on his chest and she smiled.
"You will either leave now, or I'll stop holding my fire back. Your choice."
"Please, you think I'm afraid of you, Human? You're powerless."
Amity removed her hand and held it up, She stopped holding it back and her glyph-scar lit up. She held a small ball of fire and smirked at him.
"You were saying?"
With the twins, Erica was laid down on the bed. Emira panicked, out of everything that they've experienced, the only one that's had to pull something out of them was Amity. Emira tried to think back to some of the classes she took a few years ago.
"O-o-okay. I think I can do this."
"Not very encouraging." Erica said, her voice full of pain.
"Just..." She placed a sock in Erica's mouth, "Bite down on that."
Emira placed a hand on Erica's hip and grabbed the arrow.
"O-o-okay, this... may hurt."
She broke the arrow's shaft and Erica let out a scream. Emira pulled out her wand and made a quick spell circle. She may not know how to use a Healing Spell, but she did know how to summon something. She summoned gauze, needle, thread, and cloth.
"Okay, do you trust me?"
Erica looked at her and took the sock out of her mouth.
"With my life."
"Take a deep breath." Emira said.
She pulled the rest of the arrow out of Erica's thigh and raised Erica's pant leg. She quickly started to stitch it up.
"O-o-okay, it's bad, but it'll have to do." Emira said.
She started to wrap Erica's leg up with gauze. There was banging on the door and it was kicked down. The leader walked in, with his arm around Amity's neck, putting her in a strangle hold.
"She put up a good fight until my backup arrived. Now then-" He tossed Amity into the dresser, causing her to hit her head enough to bleed, "I am supposed to bring you to Emperor Belos, but I am allowed to have my fun first."
He walked up to Emira and grabbed her by the hair.
"You look pretty cute, Blondie."
Emira tried to get out of his grip but he forced her to her knee's. Erica tried to get up and help, but she was punched back down.
"You just wait sweetheart; you'll get you chance soon."
Amity raised her head and saw him holding Emira. Amity stood up and hit him in the back of the head. He let go of Emira and turned around, only to receive a hard roundhouse kick. Amity only saw red and mantled him. She started to hit him with everything ranging from punches and forearms, to elbows. She repeatedly hit him until her arm was covered in blood. She stopped and stood up. She heard footsteps and turned around. She glared at the remaining terrorists and pressed her palm.
"Get. Out." She said.
She threw a fire ball at them and they quickly ran out of the Manor. Amity started to calm down and looked at her arm, then the body. She fell to her knees and started crying. She just killed a man; she's never killed before.
"Mittens?"
Amity looked at the twins and they quickly hugged her as she cried.
