Obviously Goh is getting a bit crazy, and a comment brought up, what about his Pokémon? The answer is that deep down Goh is still a good person. Similar to early in the anime, Team Rocket's Koffing and Ekans actually brought up the argument that while their trainers weren't good guys, they also weren't bad people, and actually cared deep down.
Ash was sitting, relaxing, having a peaceful breakfast. Chloe was at school, and Goh wasn't talking to 'Ashley' unless necessary.
"Hey Ash, there you are. So in case you forgot, I'm Eva. Anyways while my main study is Pokémon research, I'm also minoring in Pokémon medicine. During some of my reading I found that way way way way way way wayyyy back they used to use Poison type Pokémon to make medicine. Now I've already gotten a sample from Chloe's Koffing, and when I asked Goh if I could borrow his Ekans and Grimer, he seemed offended." Eva rambled.
"Eva, what are you trying to say?" Ash asked.
"Well I saw a Muk out in the park, and it showed up around the same time you did. Now at first I thought it might be just a coincidence, I mean there was already a Grimer it could have evolved, or Goh could have caught one. But then I thought to myself, Eva that's silly. If Grimer had evolved, what's that Grimer over there, and if someone like Goh or Chloe had caught it, why didn't they say anything." Eva began rambling again.
"Eva, do you want to borrow my Muk?" Ash asked, getting to the point for her.
"That would be great if you don't mind, also if your Muk doesn't mind. I don't want to be too intrusive, should I bring food for it, does it like trash, I know Alola Muk do, but what about regular Muk. Oh do they maybe like regular things before they become trash. Like ice cream!" Eva said, going off on a tangent.
"Eva, I don't think Muk will mind, just don't wear nice clothes." Ash said.
A bit later in the park
"Muk! Are you out here!" Ash called out.
"Mu-Muk!" Muk exlaimed hugging Ash to the ground.
"Hi Muk, this is my friend Eva, she was hoping to take a look at you." Ash struggled.
"Muk? Muk!" Muk happily exclaimed hugging Eva.
"Wow! Such a big guy, and friendly too. I'm sure that you two have had a lot of great times together haven't you. Anyways, if you can just open your mouth and go 'ahhhhhhhhh'". Eva said sticking out her tounge.
"Muuuuuuuuu." Muk mimicked.
"That's great now, just stay like that while I get a few samples. And don't swallow me. Your color is so solid, you must take great care of him Ash. That and the friendly nature. Oh if he could only tell me the stories the two of you have. Oh, I seem to be a little stuck. Ash do you mind helping pull me out?" Eva said. "Ash? Ash? Are you there, or did I forget to ask for permission again?"
"Sorry Eva, I was just lost in thought." Ash said, pulling her out.
"Well that was helpful. Thank you Ash, and thank you Muk." Eva said. "Wait, what's wrong?"
"You kept saying how well I must treat Muk, when I never really kept him with me on my journey." Ash admitted.
"Well, he's here now, and doesn't seem to hate you for not taking him." Eva said. "I think Muk cares a lot for you, and you're lucky to have him as a Pokémon. Thanks again for letting me look at Muk."
"No problem Eva." Ash said.
"You know, it's funny, you remind me a bit of my little sister, I miss her, but what I'm doing is important." Eva said. "I should get going, lots of work to do."
"Yeah, see ya." Ash said confused.
Ash was broken from his stupor from a message on his phone.
'Where is it?'
It was from Serena, and Ash had a good idea for what she was talking about, but decided to play along.
A: Where is what?
S: My hoodie, the black one with white accents
A: Doesn't ring a bell
S: I know you took it
A: Serena! I'm hurt you'd think so little of me
Ash had made it back to his room by this point, and had put on the hoodie, it went down to his knees, and the sleeves went past his hands.
S: You're right, maybe I left it in Orre and we didn't see it
A: Just tell me, does it look like this?
Ash sent a photo of him in said hoodie to Serena
S: You are so the girl in this relationship
A: Well one of us has to be
S: I can't stay mad at you when you're this cute
A: Good, because I'm keeping the hoodie
S: I figured as such, it was a bit big on me anyways
A: And it isn't on me?
S: Its cute when you wear something that oversized
A: True
S: I gotta go, almost breakfast time here
A: Bye
S: Bye
"That's a cute look." Chloe said from the door.
"You're home early." Ash said rolling over to sit up.
"I only do half days now. The research here has become more advanced than the school work." Chloe said. "I thought you didn't like skirts and dresses."
"Well this isn't either, now is it?" Ash pointed out.
"On the person it's meant for, no. On you, it might as well be." Chloe said with a laugh. "You know what you should let me do!"
"I don't know, but I'm gonna say no to it just in case." Ash said.
"Please, mom gets weirdly competitive at painting nails, Chrysa has a problem with people seeing her feet, and Eva creeps me out after a while." Chloe pleaded.
"No, I wore this for someone else anyways." Ash said, trying to prove a point.
"How many times have you said no to something I've asked?" Chloe asked.
"I don't know, a lot?" Ash responded.
"And how many of those times did you eventually cave in and agree to it in the end." Chloe said.
"Fine, go and get what we need." Ash caved.
"I'll be right back." Chloe said, with a skip in her step.
"Look at the Princess, all nice and ready for her makeover." Goh taunted.
"You know no one likes you anymore." Ash said bluntly.
"I don't care what you think, I get results, and that's all that matters." Goh said. "Enjoy your girl time, freak." Goh said leaving Ash.
"Impidimp, go nuts in Goh's room." Ash said softly into the vent.
"Okay, I'm back." Chloe said carrying a box, a wide smile on her face.
