Good morning my dears! A little bit a more serious note yesterday for Emmett. Unfortunately, scholarship/student loan issues was all too real of a concern for many, many people.
Thank you so much to Fran S. Sunflower and DaniDarlingxx for the tireless work they do.

"The WHO has a new update!" Alice shouts from the living room. I'm working on making lunch, and I glance up when I hear her. She comes running into the kitchen, her laptop in her arms, as she plops down at the kitchen table. It's a good time for her to read the update; Bella is still not awake. I get why it agitates Bella, but I actually like the updates. It's interesting to see what's going down. A lot of it has seemed redundant so far, but I also realize the general public probably has a lesser understanding of medicine than most pre-med students.
Alice reads the update as I continue lunch. I glance up at her when she's done, and she looks at me. "We can't go out anymore," I say finally, feeling guilty about the shit we pulled last night.
"I know. I talked to Jas this morning about it. We were reckless."
We are both quiet as we think about the pandemic. Somehow, in some unfathomable way, it seems like this is really happening, and we are headed to something big.
I wonder if this is what Bella was trying to say last night? "Do you think Bella…"
Alice looks at me. "I think so," she interrupts before I've even gotten the thought out. "She must have realized last night. We're stuck together, the five of us, and we have no idea how long for."
I consider that as I turn back to lunch. Am I prepared to be here with this group of people for the foreseeable future?
I know my answer immediately. There is nowhere else I'd rather be.
A few people guessed that this was approximately what Bella was mumbling about when she was drunk. It's a sobering realization. Thankfully, people I knew who lived together were set to keep living together for the foreseeable future. I feel for kids like these who might have gotten stuck with iffy housemates.
I'll see you dears
