Post Arc 3 Chapter 2: Visiting The Uraraka's
Izuku and Ochako made their way to the apartment where her parents lived. Eri was playing with her Deku doll. The minute she saw them she was happy.
"Mommy! Daddy!" Eri shouted as she ran to hug them.
"Hey snowflake," Izuku said, bending down to hug her. "Did you trouble Grandma and Grandpa too much?"
"Oh no, she is always a delight Izuku." Maruki told the boy. "So what brings you here, shouldn't you be in school right now?"
"We'll, yes but the thing is I'm on house arrest for not resting too much between arcs so Aizawa literally told me to sit in the dorms. He put ochako with me because he knew I'd try and exercise. And ochako had the bright idea of bringing me here to meet snowflake here to get my mind off of what's happening in class." Izuku explained.
"Ahh, well then this is your home so you can stay here for as long as you want." Kurumi told them. "I was going to make some ramen for the little one but I haven't started so let me know what you want to eat."
"Anything a fine mom." Ochako answered. "After spending time in America, we just want home cooked food so anything is fine as long as you make it."
"Alright." Kurumi told them. "Why don't you two sit and Ms. Midnight you can join in as well, if you have time that is."
"As much as I'd love to, Mrs. Uraraka, I need to get back to school. I'll take you leave then, they need to be back before 8pm tomorrow." Midnight told the two adults and 3 kids.
"Bye miss midnight." Izuku and ochako tell her as she leaves.
Later on, Izuku and Ochako were enjoying Kurumi's food. Eri had herself some ramen and apple juice. She was really enjoying the company of her mommy and daddy. She missed them dearly when they went to America. Izuku and Ochako carried on with a story of how they made a bet for who could stay away from each other for the longest for a day, much to Kurimi's delight. She knew they couldn't hold it for very long as they loved each other.
"This certainly reminds me of something that happened when we were your age," she said.
This piped up Eri's interest. She never heard stories about her grandparents when they were younger.
"What were you like when you were kids grandma?" Eri asked.
"Well, your grandpop and I were quite the younglings when we were in high school," Kurumi answered, "In fact since the day we met, he's often been very protective of me."
"She actually made a bet with me," Maruki added, "She told me that if I can go an entire day without being overprotective, then she would do whatever I wanted for a whole day."
"Well, that sounds familiar." Izuku remarked, looking at Ochako.
"Yup, I really wonder who will win, I-zu-ku." Ochako teased back.
"Just like that, it was just like that Eri." Maruki told the small girl.
"Kurumi i swear, do something like that one more time!" Maruki shouted.
"And what? You know Maruki, as much as i love you, you're really overprotective and that is totally not jazzy."
"'Totally not jazzy'? Did you really say that Mom?" Ochako said, laughing.
"It was what people said back in the day, we had to get with the program, if you know what I mean." Kurumi told the students. "Anyway back to the story."
"Hey, you know I love you and i cant help but be protective of you." Maruki told her.
"i know dear, but sometimes you overdo it. Like yesterday."
"I did not overdo it yesterday, that man was hitting on you right in front of me!"
"No he wasn't, he was asking for some directions and then thanked me. That is what was happening when you came out from the store yesterday."
"Oh….."
"Yeah. So next time before you jump to conclusions just be careful."
Maruki sheepishly scratches the back of his head, giving a goofy smile.
"How about this, if you're able to go one full day without being overprotective of me, we can spend a whole day binging on that show you've wanted me to watch, what was it called?"
"You mean WE can watch all 9 seasons of Overclock?! Do you mean it?!" He asked excitedly.
"Yes but you need to stay away from that overprotective behaviour of yours."
"Deal!" The young adult said with the excitement of a child.
"The next day was quite a spectacle, your grandfather looked like he could burst into flames everytime a guy came to talk to me " Kurumi told Eri.
Eri giggled at the description of how Maruki looked like he was gonna blow a fuse. Literally.
"And back when we were in school, I was the so called topper of the class so people would come to me with their doubts. And every single time a guy came near I would hear a pencil break." Kurumi explained.
"I broke like 20 pencils that day. Though it was for the better good, we ended up watching the show later that day and your grandmother went from hating the show to actually loving it." Maruki told Eri who was now giggling even harder.
"Wow," Ochako said, "So that's where I got my protective nature from."
"Yea, you freaked out over one little cut," Izuku said.
"Well can you blame me?" Ochako asked as she chuckled, "You were always protecting me so I wanted to return the favor."
Eri giggled at this.
"Someone's full of giggles today," Ochako said as she started to tickle Eri as she laughed louder.
"Not to say we weren't troublemakers as kids though," Maruki said with a smirk, "There was this one time where…
Maruki was pretending to try and get a computer working, and also pretending that it was slow and busted. He hit the monitor a few times, getting the attention of one of the students.
"What's happened to it?" he asked.
Maruki grabbed the dummy keyboard and hit the monitor a few times before the keyboard broke. He then snapped it in two and threw it somewhere. He then took the fake monitor and threw it at a wall, effectively breaking it. The teacher walked over and he was pissed.
"Get the hell outta here," he said calmly, "Get the Hell outta here."
Maruki backed away slowly.
"Wait wait wait wait…." he said..
"Get the HELL outta here!" The teacher said.
"Wait a minute it was just a…" Maruki tried to explain.
"GET THE FUCK OUTTA HERE!" The teacher screamed.
Maruki walked out, and the teacher shut the door. After a few minutes later, Kurumi walked in with the real keyboard and monitor and put it all back. Other students were amazed by this prank that Maruki pulled on the teacher
Izuku and Ochako bursted out laughing after hearing this tale. Eri joined in on the giggling. Maruki laughed himself remembering the hilarious tale.
"So I'm guessing you got away with it when the teacher found out it was a prank?" Izuku asked.
"Oh you better fucking believe I did!" Maruki said before covering his mouth reaalizing what he just said.
"Uh oh, Grandpa said a bad word!" Eri said.
"Well we can forgive him," Kurumi said as he kissed her husband's cheek.
The doorbell was rung. Eri went to answer it, and saw Inko and Toshinori at the door. Inko picked up the little girl and raised her up high.
"Hi there Eri," Inko said, "How are you doing today?"
"I'm doing good, but Pop-pop Maruki said a bad word," Eri said as she giggled, "But Gram-gram Kurumi said we can forgive her."
"She's right dear," Inko said as she put the little girl down, "I forgive Grandpa Might whenever he says a bad word."
"So what's happening here?" Toshinori asked.
"Oh we were just talking about some stories from our past," Maruki said, "I just told them about a hilarious prank we did."
Toshinori grinned.
"This actually reminds me of something that happened when I was younger," Toshinori said, "If I recall correctly, You and I were in a similar situation together."
"I don't recall," Maruki said.
"You probably recognize me in this picture," Toshinori said, holding out a picture.
Maruki looked at it. He suddenly recognized the man in the picture.
"Oh yea I remember now!" he said.
"This should be fun," Kurumi commented.
Inko knew where this was going. He was going to tell 'that story'
"Toshi no," Inko said in a stern voice.
"Toshi Yes," Toshinori said "I'm telling this story Inko. And I'm not letting you stop me."
"There's not stopping you is there?" Inko asked him.
"Not in a billion years." Toshi replied.
"Alright go ahead." Inko sighed.
"Alright, so this one happens when I was in my first year, after I met Inko I think. Maybe I'm not too sure about when it happened but it was definitely after I joined UA."
He went to help her up. "Thank you for helping me." The girl said thanking him. He hadn't realised that he was holding the girls hand till it was too late. The girls boyfriend, or so he assumed, showed up and started to argue with him.
"Hey, leave her alone man!" The boy told him. "She has a boyfriend."
"Maruki it was nothing the guy just helped me up after I had tripped." The girl told him.
"Yeah, then why is he still holding your hand?!" The boy asked her.
"That was on honest mistake, man. I didn't mean to do that." Toshi apologized.
"Honest mistake, my ass!" He shouted.
"Hey, there's no need to get angry, it was a mistake and I apologize for it." Toshi told him.
"You aren't getting away with this so easily." The man told him.
"Maruki if you get into another fight, your sleeping on the couch for the rest of the week!" The girl scolded him.
"But today is Monday!" The boy cried out. "I'll be so cold for one full week on the couch."
"Then don't fight." She told him.
"Yes ma'am." The boy answered dejectedly.
"Good, and I'm sorry for the trouble he caused, I know you were just trying to help. He can be a little bit overprotective at times." She told him. "I'm Kurumi, Kurumi Uraraka. And this idiot is Maruki."
"Nice to meet you, I'm Toshinori Yagi." Toshi told them. "And no issues, I can understand why he is overprotective, I have someone I care for dearly and I wouldn't want her to be harmed in any way possible. So it's all cool."
"Ahh, that was quite a day," Toshinori said, "We would have actually fought had it not been for Kurumi and the couch threat."
"The enemy of boyfriends that keeps them from having fun, The Couch." Maruki said, causing the 3 males to giggle a bit while their significant others glared at them and Eri was just confused.
"One more comment like that out of you and you're on the couch mister." Inko told Toshinori.
"Same goes for you." Kurumi told Maruki.
"Wel, I'm already on the couch so I don't have to worry." Izuku remarked.
"Well in that case you can go the the dorms." Ochako told him.
"Nope, I'm fine here." Izuku told her.
"Wait why is Izuku on the couch?" Maruki asked the young couple.
"She wants to see which one of us is able to sleep longer without the other." Izuku explained.
"Ahh the test of warmth. Well, I wish you luck, though if she's anything like her mother, you might just win." Maruki told him, whispering the last part in his ear causing him the giggle a bit.
"What with all the couch-y stuff? What does that mean?" Eri asked.
"You'll understand when you grow up." Maruki told her.
Day 3
The grandparents were gone and they took Eri to the park. While this was all happening, Izuku and Ochako decided to have their bet to see who could stay away the longest. Izuku was starting off alright. He looked at the hero videos and watched some TV. He managed to refrain from trying to train with his quirk.
Meanwhile Ochako was doing her hair and finding some new hairstyles. She wanted to see which one would make her cuter. After a few hours the two of them realized that they can't spend a minute without each other.
After a few hours, Inko and Toshinori arrived back at the apartment with Eri.
"We are home!" Eri said imitating All Might, much to Inko's enjoyment.
The two of them walked into the living room to see Izuku and Ochako making out. They were fully clothed but they were still kissing.
"Ew!" Eri said, "Cooties!"
"ERI!" the young couple shouted.
Toshinori and Inko laughed while Izuku and Ochako blushed madly.
"I take it that both of you failed at the couch test?" Toshinori asked only for the two teens to turn a deeper shade of red. "Well looks like Maruki owes me some money. Excuse me while I go get that money." Toshinori said walking to the car parked outside.
"Well, now what?" Ochako asked Izuku.
"I say we spend a day…" Izuku trailed off, leaning towards Ochako. "All alone." He whispers into her ear.
"Done!" Ochako shouts. "Aunty Inko, we need to leave for the dorms in some time. Ms. Midnight called a while ago."
"Well then I'll pack you some lunch for when you reach the dorms." Inko told Pchako, "Why don't you help me pack it? Izuku can take care of the luggage." Inko told the girl walking into the kitchen.
"Sure thing," Izuku said, "Finally a chance to…"
"And no quirks!" Inko and Ochako said in unison.
"Dang it," Izuku said.
